The menu has been updated to prevent food waste. That's a good point anyway. The food is fresh and delicious. Truly good, authentic Thai food. So keep in mind that the food is tasty, spicy, and sometimes (too) spicy—especially if you're not used to anything or very little. So, don't expect a crappy potato and gravy dish. And by spicy, don't think of spicy black pepper or the usual supermarket (sour) sambal spicy. This is about really good, fresh chili spicy. We enjoyed the fish cakes (very spicy), Tom Yum soup (mildly spicy) as a starter. Then we had authentic massaman curry (not spicy, but very tasty), stir-fried squid, and stir-fried shrimp. Everything was delicious—and all fresh!

I'm not exaggerating when I say I have a new favorite in the Spijkenisse area. Amazing authentic Thai cuisine! The Tom Kha Kai soup was a liquid hug. The curry was a flavor explosion, the rolls generously filled. The service was excellent; our order had slipped through the cracks, and we were called with an honest explanation and were allowed to order extra food free of charge. This is the best thing I've ordered in the past year. Soul of Asia has my heart!

Lovely experience with absolutely AMAZING food. We ordered meat plate for the BBQ, the rice was the best rice I've ever had and when it comes to drinks, those house made lemonades are absolute BANGER. I'd return just to have a drink from those. The lady is very nice and helpful. 10/10 recommending!

When our mom told us I wanted to have a BBQ at the Thai restaurant in Spijkenisse, we thought it was a fun challenge. We'd never had Thai food before, so we ordered a BBQ and an authentic Thai dish. It was truly excellent. There was so much food that we even got a goody bag full of it. Everything that came by looked delicious. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for the great service.

The food was delicious, the service was friendly and fast. They now also have delicious platters with a bit of everything. It's a nice variety, and the platters are also perfect for sampling everything. And you can even order meat for the BBQ!

Yesterday (on my birthday) I walked in late and ordered food here for the first time. I ordered a stir-fried curry with chicken. I haven't had such a delicious meal in a long time! The food was perfectly seasoned! And I even got a free container of coconut ice cream because it was my birthday. Simply fantastic! A really lovely place too! ❤️👌🏾

We had a delicious Thai meal at Soul of Asia. I had Pad Thai and my wife had a rice noodle soup. For dessert, they had mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream. It tasted like we were back in Thailand. The owner was friendly and the service was great. We'll definitely be back!

The food was very salty and spicy. Sushi is not tasty. Fried food was tasteless. Ice cream was tasty. Soup is way too spicy while there is no pepper. Now we can handle a bit of spicy but this was very spicy even my son found it spicy and he can eat spicy. Now we have 3 dishes of which 2 soup left because it was too spicy and 1 dish not tasty. Wanted to charge them €3 per dish. Sorry but if something is not tasty or too spicy I do not have to pay extra elsewhere. I already said that we find the food too salty and too spicy and we ate everything else. Now I understand that if you order a lot and do not eat that you get a bill. We could have gotten new soup and eaten that then it would not be charged. No thank you it was too spicy and not tasty we cannot eat that. Eventually after consultation had to pay for 1 dish. By the way had to wait more than 20 minutes for my salad. So we will not be coming back here.

First of all I think €4.50 for a beer (a bottle of Heineken) is a bit excessive, at least pour it in a glass. The food was very salty and tasted the same, the fried duck was with rubber. On the other hand the lady serving was really very nice and friendly, the extraction was also not that great. Our bill went up a lot because everything you didn't eat was charged (€3.50) we certainly understand this but if you don't eat something completely because it really isn't good we don't think this is necessary. Very unfortunate this experience!

We were 9 people at the table. We had 3 grill plates. 3 Welcome platters with meat/fish/bread. After that we could eat unlimitedly for 2.5 hours by means of a tablet where you could order. Worth repeating.

Delicious and cozy meal with my friends. NOT EVERYONE HAS THE SAME taste. After all those reviews I thought, we're going anyway. And NO regrets. Keep in mind it's a THAI RESTAURANT!!! Spicy food and some dishes contain peppers, but that's stated Before we went home, a number of customers got sushi to take home because they thought it was a shame to throw it away. The website says 2 hours but it's now 2.5 hours, we could order for hours and the rest, eat our food quietly. We didn't even make it that far!! Do read the house rules, because... it clearly states... waste policy leftovers €3 per dish.

Today we went to this restaurant for Mother's Day. The service and food were both above expectations. Of course you have to love this cuisine and everyone has their own taste. But you know in advance that you are choosing a Thai grill restaurant. I read reviews here from people really complaining about crap. If you are not satisfied, you can resolve it immediately with the staff, which you are so satisfied with. It strikes me that the people who have posted negative comments have also done so about other restaurants (hmmm). Don't get me wrong, you are free to express your opinion but some complain about nonsense. In any case, the food was good, the atmosphere was good and the service perfect. Don't immediately rely on the negative reviews, but I would say go visit yourself, give it a fair chance and judge for yourself.

Ambiente cozy, service friendly but most importantly, the food was just OK. Poor quality and not fresh. Sushi on the inside was just cold and wet so probably frozen. The sauces in plastic squeeze bottles on the table. Straight from the supermarket. Meat looked bad and partly very tough. Other dishes, e.g. the curry, are also heated up, according to us. You pay 4.50 for a bottle of beer. They don't have tap. Not worth repeating for us.

The food was not tasty, the sushi was just gross, pre-packed and I think already expired. I also only received the sushi 45 minutes after ordering because I asked extra for it. In terms of service, there was a sweet boy working there and everyone was polite, but it was only after 40 minutes that the first empty plates were picked up and it was not busy. Cutlery and glasses looked dirty. Never again for us. Regret that we chose this restaurant to eat for my birthday! Other than that it looked nice and we had a good time.

Absolutely disgraceful experience — avoid at all costs! The food here is mediocre at best. The ventilation doesn’t work, so the whole place reeks of fried oil — my clothes still stink hours later. The wait time for the food was ridiculous, but all of that pales in comparison to the appalling treatment we received from the staff. From the start, the attitude was rude and disrespectful. But the worst part came at the end of the meal, when the manager tried to scam us by demanding we pay for every single dish we didn’t finish — something that was never mentioned beforehand. When we calmly questioned this absurd policy, the manager launched into a ten-minute lecture, accusing us of being wasteful and throwing around guilt-tripping lines about children starving in Africa. It was completely unprofessional, humiliating, and honestly unbelievable. The sarcasm, the hostility, and the attempt to squeeze more money out of customers made this one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor — stay far away from this place. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, ever.

The food was not tasty, small etagere with BBQ meat, nothing special, with a lot of fat on it. Small dishes from the menu were also disappointing, little sushi choice, the restaurant was blue with smoke, unpleasant appearance, was not worth the money. What a poorly organized affair, firstly we had been waiting inside for 15 minutes before we could get to our table and when we finally got to the table we had to ask three times where our drinks were that we had already ordered, and they had them. Good, very good service. Delicious food (except shrimps : very small and too much breading). First you think that portions are small but it is not. When you eat understand it's more than enough. We have now eaten here for the second time with our family. Previously also ate at the owner's previous business a number of times. I had dinner here on Saturday evening. It wasn't full. I always try to take in everything openly and blankly at a new restaurant. My first impression was a beautiful place, nice benches where you can sit with family, friends and colleagues. Atmosphere is good. Unfortunately the lamp on the table did not work. Your order works with such a tablet, which is modern, I personally don't like it. The tablet also didn't work properly and that's exactly what irritates me about those things. At the start you will receive an explanation and a display with meat and fish on the table. I wouldn't do this, let people choose for themselves. Nothing is as different as taste. Herb butter in a plastic tub..., not done, a nice container is much more pleasant... but again it is personal taste. I thought the choice of sushi on the menu was limited and you should not compare the sushi with a sushi restaurant. There is plenty of meat and the BBQ concept is fun and cozy. Meat quality is unfortunately mediocre. The dessert menu is also very limited. I would add a little more ice cream choice. I ordered latte machiato, they are not allowed to sell it under that name and price. The staff is very friendly and the owner is a sweet woman, also comes to the table and is a warm person. There has been some delay around the opening, so I don't want to burn this restaurant down, but there are some areas for improvement in the quality of the food and drinks and some other catering entrepreneur points. I wanted a cocktail, but there was no picture or what alcohol it contained, so I declined, which is a shame, right? We took a bottle of wine, nothing was poured. Your coat and clothes smell really bad, but that's also the case with gourmet food at home, so you can take that into account in advance. Had a lovely meal here with my family. Food was delicious, not standard all you can eat restaurant. Meat was soft and tender. Very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. The owner occasionally walks by to ask if everything is okay, because they are still training people. Really great!! Not one of those places where you have to walk back and forth and chat with each other. All you can eat with service. So never assume what you read. If you go to a grill/BBQ restaurant you can expect to smell a bit of smoke/grill, which is of course also the case at home or elsewhere when you go to a BBQ or grill restaurant. They hung up our coats for us and returned them upon departure. We will definitely come back more often

Poor quality meat, tough baguette, fried snacks lying in a puddle of oil, orders that were not delivered. They didn't have a hamburger chain that was on the menu, but they didn't tell them either, so when they asked where it was, they said it wasn't there.

We were told that they had (re)opened the day before. Everything went wrong. At first the tablets did not work, no oil was applied to our plate, which caused our meat to burn immediately. No Radler available, no Rivella, no Tonic. Also no spa red or blue. A bottle of water (from Aldi?) without a glass. The quality of the food was also disappointing, the taste of the gyoza was okay but was served cold. The sushi was downright bad. The soup, on the other hand, was very tasty. Your clothes can go in the wash afterwards: as if you had been eating gourmet food for hours in a poorly ventilated room. All in all, not a success and definitely not worth repeating for us.

Bad opening hours and almost never delivery

Once but never again! Dirty cutlery, fried noodles that may have been from the previous day. Owner walks through the business like a Don Corleone. Special atmosphere and super small! The older lady from the kitchen was very friendly and understood how to be customer friendly.

It is so called all you can eat restaurant but u actually get 3 choice for 5 rounds which is actually more than what u can consume. The portions served are big and filling. I was done after 1.5 round but had to consume everything that i ordered so finished round 2 with lots of difficulty. Food quality is quite poor. Anything u order on bbq is full of fat, very thin poor quality meat. Other prepared meat dishes are contains very less portions of meat and full of other stuff like veggies or rice or potato... The place itself is clean but very small...tables are very small and when u put bbq grill in between there is almost no place to put your other dishes...see photos. Service is also quite poor...anything u order will take at least 20-30 min...there is only lady at the counter who takes order, enter everything into system, receive new guests, explain how it works etc etc...my kids had to go to reception to order anything they wanted... In conclusion, this was a waste of money n time...

Good service, super nice owner 23-09 Had a less pleasant experience today. I have been to the restaurant before and had a delicious meal and good service. That's why we came back. However, today it was very busy. And few staff. After 45 minutes we got the first round. After more than 2 hours we still hadn't gotten the 2nd round. We then discussed it in good consultation and decided to cancel our reservation and reschedule it for another day. They agreed to this. Well resolved. It's a shame that we had to go to the cinema hungry. I'm looking forward to next time What made it worse is that there was a family of 5 sitting in the corner which made our experience even worse. These people were complaining so much and were so rude and ill-mannered that they also wanted to leave without paying. While they have eaten their fill. It just costs longer. And their voices rose above everyone else. She even tried to destroy the BBQ by throwing out a bottle of soy sauce. I understand that it's not fun if things don't go the way you want. But either leave early or ask for a discount. But don't be a burden to others. and then continue to eat and then don't want to pay and then also try to demolish things. Bad experience and food, tis not for me

PD-K, this group of 5 had already paid through a social deal, we received chicken bones that were still frozen on the inside, so salmonella is lurking. And you didn't even get the food you checked. And then we agreed that the 9 drinks we ordered were free. By the way, you've already had 1 round and now you've changed your reservation and you want to eat for free next time. It's a shame that they give such small snacks, that wasn't even enough for a baby. I also hope you weren't the one with the headscarf who brought a baby with you, that baby also whined all the time, who would take a baby to this tent.

Ate here last night, they were apparently severely understaffed and it showed. The food did not arrive or came very late and was really not tasty!! The fish in the sushi was warm, everything fried was soaked in grease. In short, really not tasty! The girl serving did very well despite everything she had to deal with. It wasn't her fault and she stayed polite. I sat on the toilet all night and was sick!! I will never, ever go here again and I will never recommend anyone to eat here! I will never go here again, we had to wait an hour for the first round, and then you get portions just enough for a baby. The second round was 45 minutes later and they had forgotten half of it. Then we left and went to KFC for dinner. There are too many tables in a restaurant that is way too small, and there was only 1 waitress for 10 tables, that girl was shaking on her legs when people started complaining that it was all taking too long.

Waited way too long for each round. Way too small a space for so many people. Couldn't even go to the toilet because it was so cramped. This restaurant is not wheelchair friendly, just saying. All the fried food was as oily as it could be, they use oil that has been used too much. My chicken was still cold inside. Portions that my small dog would be shocked at how small it is. You are only allowed to order 3 things per round... those very small portions won't get you far. And then you have to wait 45 minutes per round, when you get your food, half of what you ordered is missing and the glasses were so dirty. No salt and pepper on the table. Good food (except fried food), the service and waiting times really need to be better and the portions larger or you should be able to order more things in 1 round. Nice concept but not for me.

Reserved via social deal for €25 p.p. Excl. drinks. Dishes are large so you won't be short of food, but there is a lack of variety in the range of dishes on offer. Sheet The plate burns quickly, so don't hesitate to ask for a new sheet every now and then. Taste of the dishes is good.

Very disappointing! I had high expectations. Fries looked like leftovers that have been re-fried. Fried side dishes are all very hard and inedible, probably fried for the second time. Shusi dry in taste. Not recommended.

I had never been to this fairly new restaurant before and had a sandwich with delicious Thai beef and while waiting (which was certainly not long) I was offered a coke on the house. So HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I'll try even more the next time I pick up food, but maybe I'll dine there myself sometime, so the final conclusion is a big 10+
