The oliebollen stall was rickety. The oliebollen were supposed to have raisins on them, so the wait was supposed to be 10 minutes. It ended up being more than 15. Multiple complaints from people who ordered them. Soggy, soft oliebollen! Never again. The staff was very friendly, but the organization was completely lousy. After a 15-minute wait, oliebollen (30 or so) arrived, and they were sold out in 2 minutes.

Dear Jan and colleagues, Yesterday I bought 2 bags of your white rolls (6 pieces) at Jumbo in Oisterwijk. They looked *so* delicious! When I took them out of the bag, I immediately noticed how limp they felt.. First our youngest son said: Mom, those rolls you bought today... I don't like them at all! Then my husband: Honey, those rolls... sorry but I really didn't like them. When I tasted one myself, I felt the same way; both the taste and texture... not to our liking. And I also thought they were really expensive (3.19). Normally I have butter rolls from AH, those are 2.79 and incredibly tasty. Do you ever taste your own rolls?

Boxtelsebaan 31A charming, artisanal (neighborhood) bakery. A friendly shopkeeper who knows her trade. It's nice that you can help yourself to your own items. And the bread and pastries are sliced and packaged for you as needed. I'll definitely be back.

Gemullehoekenweg 19A bakery that makes you instantly hungry. Everything is beautifully displayed, not too full, not too empty. The butter cakes have exactly the right balance between crispy and soft. The staff takes time for a chat. It's just a shame they don't have seating for coffee.
