Steakhouse Al Salta in Nieuwmarkt/Lastage

The worst steak I've eaten in my life, by far the worst. No quality, poorly cooked, you couldn't even get rid of the bad taste with spices because there wasn't even steak pepper. To make matters worse, we had to eat the whole thing I also had to wait for over an hour. It was really the very last one in this shop. It wasn't enough that there was a coffee shop next door, you couldn't have a nice smoke in this shop. Never, ever again!!!!!

The dry chimichurri, the waiter in a bad mood, passing the plates to the diners so they could continue passing them to the others, the Palm beer that didn't taste like it always tastes (when we told him about the strange taste, the waiter told us that it was because he didn't we had ordered Heineken). A really depressing experience, a shame because the location of the place is excellent.

Bar h Que was brilliant - steak and ribs were effect as we were all hungry after long travel day. Warm and welcoming staff. Good spot.

Very bad place, everything horrible, the owner of the place is in a bad mood, he doesn't let you order properly, he treats you in a very rude way. Please don't go. It doesn't have spice.

Food wasn’t good, no seasoning whatsoever. The menu displayed outside was not available since apparently was only during breakfast although that makes no sense. Only after eating our food, we were told that the card machine wasn’t working, having to go to the atm which at least was near. Not much of an Argentinian atmosphere but calm. Paid more than was meant to, not sure what for. Service could’ve been better.

Lunch menu was outside even in dinner time. When I asked for it, server strictly let me (and others as well) know its only breakfast and lunch menu. He could normally take the menu inside, but he chose to leave it outside to attract more customers (someone should let he know its not legal). I ordered small starters - empanadas was almost cold inside and white as a snow, cheese bread (price over 5€!!!) was only cutted garlic bread with some melted cheese on it - it really didnt look nice. Goulash soup was kinda good, but I had to help myself with a lot of salt and more pepper to give it some taste. I not going to talk about server - older gentleman - he probably doesnt like this job. Place was nice and warm if I dont mention I got a table right infront of the door.

La comida fue lo único bueno, el servicio pésimo y el precio…15€ dos Coca-Cola’s de medio litro y nos cobraron 2 sobres de ketchup y dos de mayonesa… Si tenéis pensado comer aquí no pidáis bebida no salsas

La comida no era la gran cosa y la carta era muy escasa, poca variedad. Afuera del local tenían propuestas que cuando las pedimos no tenían. El mozo no era amable. La milanesa no tenía gusto a nada, el medio pollo, era una media paloma. No volvería.

We went here because we fancied a steak and it was amazing!! One of the best fillet steaks I've ever had, cooked to perfection and so tasty, would recommend coming for a steak every day of the week. Couple of negatives but not enough to knock it off 5 stars (for me), they didn't offer dessert and gave us the bill but they were closing up and obviously wanted to get off so that's cool. It was quiet but that's probably cos of people ordering the wrong thing, the steak was brilliant!!!!!

Bin sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient worden. Das Essen: appetitlich serviert, mein gewähltes Steak -200g medium, 20,50€ -preislich okay, war sehr zart und schmackhaft, das Gemüse(-verm. Tütenmischung) 5,50€ -meiner Meinung nach etwas überteuert, jedoch bissfest gegart und lecker. Ich bin satt geworden. Das Ambiente gemütlich nett… vergleichbar typischer Kneipenstyle, gepunktet hat bei mir die gemütliche Bestuhlung mit weichen Lederstühlen. Unterm Strich habe ich mich wohl gefühlt und hatte ein leckeres Essen😊

Really good steak, lunch menu offers 100 grams steak we upgraded it to 200 for peak enjoyment. Recommended.

I came despite the low rating. It was not as bad as expected. Steak was well grilled and tasty. Size ok, same for fries. Salad well... don't count on it. I chose it for quick service and that went fine. Price for steak was okish. Not a rip off given the location.

De steak gegeten, zeer lekker van smaak. Frietjes waren ook goed. Vriendelijke en vlotte bediening. Leuke plaats om te zitten.

Wir waren als Familie da. Wurden nett bedient, alle Bedienungen waren sehr höflich, aufmerksam und kinderfreundlich. Auf Extrawünsche wurde auf Nachfrage beim Chef eingegangen. Essen war lecker, nicht übermäßig viel , aber ausreichend. Vorspeise empfehlenswert, bei großem Hunger.

Zu teuer für untere Mittelklasse Qualität. Nicht wirklich gut.

The restaurant is amazing. The food was good. All are at Grill, ribs,chicken and with good taste. The staffing are really good with good attitude and always to help you. Prices are reasonable. Definitely, I recommend this place.

Eenvoudige gerechten tegen lage prijs. Prijs kwaliteit klopt. Vriendelijke bediening. Duurt wel 30 minuten voordat eten op tafel kwam ondanks beperkte drukte

Wir besuchten das Restaurant mit Freunden, und es stellte sich sehr schnell raus das der Chef wie meine zwei Freunde aus Ägypten kommt. Sie unterhielten sich ein bisschen auf Arabisch und scherzten rum. Die Getränke kamen zügig, jedoch für eine 0,5l Cola fast 8€ zu verlangen ist mehr als dreist! Wir bestellten 1x Riesengarnelen, Pommes und ein Entrecote + Salat, Schweinefilet mit Pommes + Salat und einmal irgendwas undefinierbares Nummer 49. in de Karte. Als das Essen kam, waren wir enttäuscht und haben direkt gemerkt das das Entrecote keines war, sondern getauscht wurde gehen ein Ribeye um sehr wahrscheinlich Geld zu sparen da es dem Gast ja eh nicht auffallen würde. Blöd aber auch, dass 3 der Leute aus der Gastronomie kommen (Service & Küche) die sehr wohl Ahnung haben und es auch direkt angesprochen haben. Der Chef sagte mein Bruder das ist richtig… bliblablub. Aus Respekt zu seinem eigenen Landsmann hat er es dann gegessen und gesagt ,,schade das eigene Landsmann sowas mit einem Macht“ die zwei Freunde aus Ägypten waren sehr enttäuscht. Außerdem ist es eine bodenlose Frechheit für die teuren Preise ein Essen zu bekommen wovon man keineswegs satt wird und im Anschluss woanders noch essen gehen kann damit man überhaupt satt wird. Wir werden nie wieder dieses Restaurant besuchen und auch keinem im Freundes oder Bekanntenkreis weiterempfehlen und ich hoffe das dieser Laden eines Tages schließt. Bodenlos sowas. Für 4 Personen 130€ ausgeben für nichts. Anik

I had the lamb chops. They were 6.5 out of 10. The waiter kept coughing in his hands, and I never saw him sanitize them. Kind of killed my appetite.

Die Bedienung vom Chef selbst war ziemlich unfreundlich. Er schient schlecht gelaunt und liess die Gäste daran teilhaben. An Stelle eines kleinen Biers brachte er ein grosses. Auf meine „Bitte“ hin brachte er dann ein kleines Bier. Auf der Rechnung selbst war allerdings das Grosse aufgeführt. Mit einer lauen Entschuldigung korrigierte er die Rechnung. Solches kann sich der Besitzer wohl nur leisten, weil er von Touristen lebt, die nachher nicht mehr vorbei kommen. Das Essen selbst war soweit in Ordnung. Alles in Allem eine miserable Visitenkarte von Amsterdam.

Ober was een eikel, keukenpersoneel wel vriendelijk en eten was prima, beetje misleidende prijzen buiten (ze hebben s’avonds de lunchkaart uit) maar buyer beware.

Tisch hatten wir vorab reserviert, da die Männer mal wieder Fleisch brauchten. Das Restaurant selbst, ist ja auch Geschmackssache, war nicht so meins. Der Kellner der uns bedient ja er hat so seine eigene Art, war aber freundlich hat aber eben gerne Scherze gemacht. Das muss man mögen. Zum Essen, unsere Männer hatten jeweils ein bestimmtes Steak mit einer Gargradvorliebe und beide waren restlos begeistert. Ich selbst hatte Rippchen, hier hätte ich mir nur gerne was zum säubern der Finger gewünscht. Sehr lecker. Die Beilagen waren in Ordnung. Preislich lag es für uns völlig im Rahmen.

Op het bord staan andere prijzen dan op het menu, erg vreemd. Je betaald te veel voor wat je krijgt. Patatjes zijn prima maar salade (bestaande uit 3 blaadjes sla en een plakje komkommer) is een aanfluiting. Volgende keer lopen we door naar een ander restaurant.

Еда более менее , но стейк средний, а особенно когда приходит понимание что нас просто обманули на цене. На улице в меню указана одна цена, а официант озвучивает другую.

Just a fantastic very professional restaurant Food is out of this world buttery steak with so good side dishes . People are so friendly and helpful, service is fast and really good. Must go restaurant in Amsterdam.

Blauwe Brug was vol. We waren wel zeer welkom in Al Salta en hebben daar voorafgaand aan het Requiem van Verdi heerlijk gegeten. Argentijnse ossenhaas is aan te bevelen en we zaten aan een royale tafel. Hele vriendelijke en aardige eigenaar.

Obwohl die Einrichtung und das Ambiente nichts besonderes sind, waren wir heute (bereits den 2. Abend in Folge) vom Essen begeistert. Das Filetsteak war gestern wie heute von bester Qualität und auf den Punkt genau, wie wir es haben wollten - einmal rare und einmal medium rare. Ein köstliches Ladycut Steak vom Filet mit 200 Gramm um € 20,50 zuzüglich Beilagen, die im Preis absolut fair sind, findet man nicht so leicht. Mein Mann und ich werden bei nächsten Aufenthalten in Amsterdam bestimmt gerne wieder kommen.

Wir, meine Frau und ich, waren zwei Tage infolge hier essen. Hatten Filet Steak (ein Traum), Surf and Turf (ein Traum) und etliche Beilagen und Saucen. Alles unglaublich lecker. Kellner waren alle zuvorkommend und wir können die negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Gebt dieser Küche eine Chance denn die haben sie sich mehr als verdient.
