Very tasty ribs and the pork noisette was also very tasty with plenty of sauce. Service by the young ladies was very friendly. For payment by bank transfer, perhaps it could be looked into having this done via QR code; this would greatly improve the overall convenience for the customer. I didn't make a problem of it myself, it is just an idea I am passing on.

Very friendly and warm staff with great attention to the customer. The customer is the focus. You feel welcome and at home when you sit at the table. They are interested in their customers and want to know if everything was to your liking. The spareribs were of excellent quality. Perfectly seasoned and prepared with care. But there is more on the menu that is certainly worth trying. The overall experience ensures that this restaurant has that likeability factor. Highly recommended for every convivial bon vivant.

Fantastically tasty spare ribs. They fall right off the bone. It is all-you-can-eat, but one portion is already enough. Served with fries and two salads. The staff is friendly. The decor is simple but clean. I would definitely recommend eating here.

Very bad experience. We waited 1.5 hours for our food, without any explanation or information. Even the starter arrived very late. We were very hungry and just sat there waiting. The restaurant wasn't even busy. The steak and spareribs were average, nothing special. The cappuccino also tasted like it came out of the microwave. I don't understand the many good reviews. Our experience was very different. If it's busy, just tell your guests, but here it wasn't even busy. Waiting 1.5 hours without saying anything is really not normal. Never again for us.

I have to add that I didn't try the spareribs. The food was okay in terms of taste; I had the carpaccio and tournedos. The wait time for the food was longer than I am used to at restaurants. It took over an hour for the main course to arrive. I find this a bit too long. The staff was friendly, but I didn't see them come by on their own initiative after taking the first drink and food orders. Normally I am not so strict with reviews; it was mainly the wait time for the food.

Delicious spare ribs and a mixed grill with too few vegetables, unlike the ones I used to have, which were now well-prepared and delicious. Plenty of sauces and herb butter. Delicious thin-cut fries, too bad they forgot the coleslaw. Highly recommended for takeout. Although I had to wait a long time for my phone-ordered food, the wait time was 15 to 20 minutes.

I've gotten spareribs here occasionally over the years. The quality wasn't always consistent, but the meat usually tastes delicious. The salad and fries are excellent. I do find it a bit of a drawback that you still can't pay by card. The place doesn't look very well-maintained either. It's time for a facelift. Nevertheless, I highly recommend it if you want to try some truly delicious spareribs.

Best ribs in Utrecht and surrounding areas.

After a busy day, we stumbled upon this place on our way home and had a wonderful meal. It was very quiet in the restaurant that evening, but the takeout was going strong. We had a truly delicious meal! The service was fast and friendly.

What fantastic! I was able to say goodbye to my father here yesterday. What fantastic! They opened for this special day. And the food was, as always, outstanding! I'm so grateful to them for bringing such a sad day to a close so beautifully. Five stars isn't enough!

Just as it has been since the Americans were stationed there over 40 years ago, it's still the best spare ribs place in the province. They'll be on holiday from August 4, 2025. Check their website.

I left a review a few years ago. My experience back then was very positive. I was planning another fun ribs evening with a few acquaintances this weekend. We arrived at the pickup location around 6:15 pm, and to my surprise, the ribs were sold out. That was quite a disappointment, especially so early in the evening.

Hi, my name is Marco van Lente... I'm going to be completely honest... I went out for dinner yesterday with my wife, and we both had spareribs... The taste! It was perfect, couldn't be better! The meat! I have to be honest, and I am, I found it a bit too tender, and my wife thought so too... it used to be much more tender. Back then, you could pull the meat off easily, but yesterday you couldn't... Maybe it's because it's cooked too short or too long before it goes on the grill, I don't know. When I went to pay, I heard it had a different owner since December. Maybe that's the reason, because the previous owner did it differently... I'm not saying this to criticize it; no, I'm saying this: maybe that can be looked into and improved! That's why I'm honest about the taste, because it was absolutely delicious. Personally, I think it's the best in the Netherlands... I also had a wonderful meal, with plenty of fries... etc. The service!! A very nice young lady came over twice to ask if everything was to my liking... but I did have the idea, I'll admit... but I didn't. Later in the car, I told my wife, "I'm going to say something about it tomorrow anyway, hoping it will be looked into and it will be like it used to be..." Will I go back to Kepas? Yes, 100%... because again, the taste is perfect... It only happened once, yesterday, but it's been ages since we've eaten here due to health issues... so that's why... We live behind Zwolle and drove especially out of our way yesterday, which says it all. It was always so delicious... except for what I just said... P.S. The price had gone up a bit, but everything has become more expensive here in the Netherlands, so it's understandable for you too... And the last thing I'll say is, we had so much meat we couldn't finish it all, so we took it home in a container after dinner, and we're eating that today 😉

Schrijf nu pas beoordeling,want eerder lukte het niet, op bepaalde manier! Wij,zus ,zoon en ik,daar gegeten en eerlijk is eerlijk,het was lekker! Had alleen wat meer spontaniteit verwacht van personeel. Maar het was klein en knus. 1 minpunt en daarom komen we er niet meer, sorry. In de sla,zat een vogelveer. Mijn zoon kauwde er op en zo kwamen wij tot de ontdekking! Keihard en ook best wel gevaarlijk,want was ook scherp! Wij zijn niet moeilijk en hebben discreet gezegd wat er in de sla zat. Eigenlijk werd er nonchalant mee om gesprongen en ook nog gevraagd,of mijn zoon,het uit zijn mouw had geschud?🤭😱 Misschien een grapje,maar natuurlijk,ECHT niet zo!!!! Nogmaals niet moeilijk gedaan,ze hebben ook laten zien in keuken en werd gezegd: zit,zat in zak met sla. Kan gebeuren,maar wij waren wel teleurgesteld, dat er niet iets gecompenseerd werd! Als ik zo.n goed lopende zaak had, zou ik dat wel zeker doen!🤞 Voorgerecht niet betalen,of gratis drankje,evt gratis kop koffie,na het eten? Maar volle pond op t eind! Jammer! Want jullie eten is super,dat wil ik echt nog mee geven,maar,helaas, zijn jullie ons als klant kwijt. En nogmaals,wij zijn niet moeilijk,maar had wel een soort van compensatie verwacht. Ditmaal in het restaurant zelf gegeten met vrienden. Ook hierbij waren de spareribs en saté heerlijk mals. Genoeg spareribs, heerlijk klaar gemaakt, voor ons meer dan voldoende. Aan te raden.

Today we had a delicious dinner with my wife and friends. We received a warm welcome from the moment we arrived, while all tables were well occupied and the atmosphere was great! Plenty of time and attention was given to you. From Starter to Dessert, everything tasted more than good to us, to say the least: Salmon, BBQ chicken and unlimited Spareribs and delicious Gambas in garlic butter. The portions are large enough, even for the big eaters among us, and the service was very approachable and interested. REALLY GREAT!!! I have become a fan and recommend this restaurant to everyone!!! Always tasty spareribs and quick service

Food was ok, I've had better spareribs before. Portion size is good. Hygiene in the kitchen unfortunately left something to be desired; stainless steel back plate in the kitchen was blackened. That gives a less appealing business card than a clean plate.

2 weeks ago I thought about Kepass again. Last collected in 2017, then ate vegetarian/vegan for a few years, subsequently no longer owning a car. As a so-called flexitarian, the pleasures of good meat and a car at my disposal again, I called the familiar number “spare ribs menu”, I will be there in 30 minutes. Got food, drove home and once there I felt like I was back in 2017, delicious ribs, a good salad and fries with 3 sauces. Absolutely fine! Delicious food again!

Still one of the tastiest spareribs in Zeist and the surrounding area 😉 Meat falls right off the bone (okay, honestly... with some you have to use your teeth a little more) and is wonderfully tender. The marinade is and remains the best! Fries... ESSENTIAL! at the court. Really super tasty. The restaurant is cozy and cozy. From start to finish, the staff is there for you with a smile and they respond spontaneously to everything. Dessert..? Always fits! We hadn't been there for a while, but when you step back in and your fingers are covered in marinade, you know what you missed.

Got spare ribs again. Rarely have I eaten such delicious spareribs. Meat falls off the bones when you look at it, delicious taste, nice and tender! Worth repeating, absolutely recommended!

After so many years it's great to see that our favorite restaurant in Zeist is still in business. As an American that lived there from '85 - '92, I tell all my family and friends that the best ribs I've ever eaten were from Kepass Restaurant in Holland. We always received great service and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. I hope to visit again someday!

Vroeger kwam ik hier heel vaak, dus één keer per jaar voor mijn verjaardag. Het is een trip down memory lane. De kaart is al tientallen jaren hetzelfde. Echt de beste spareribs die er zijn. Wim maakt de marinade, staatsgeheim, zelf en is echt vreselijk goed! Tot volgend jaar, nu al zin in!

What a nice family restaurant! Great meat (mixed grill and satay), nicely prepared with side dishes, crispy fries and coleslaw. Recommended for a very pleasant price!

This is a very small steak house. It is located away from the city in a residential area. The food is very, very good, the prices are okay. However, the air was a bit stuffy and warm. Service and food were absolutely good, even though everything was full. Since I didn't want to eat meat, they brought me a special order. 2 ears of corn with fries, herb butter and bread. For 10€. Delicious! Absolute recommendation

Large portions, it's a pity that the membrane is not removed from the spareribs. According to my father, this used to be the case. Also little marinade on the spareribs used to be more. The place to eat spareribs for me for years. Due to Corona and other circumstances, it was the first time of the week again. And again...... DELICIOUS! Tender, flavorful and slides off the ribs. Been coming here for over 30 years! The last two times the meat of the spareribs was less tender. The marinade is still tasty, as usual.

Let's start with the most important. The spareribs are very good. Not the best ever, but good. The American spareribs are not American but more "Indian babi ketjap" style. This is actually only a good thing. I think they are prepared on coal here, which is also great. The fries and fries sauces are okay, but certainly not more than that, hence 4 stars. Furthermore, we were helped very well and the atmosphere was okay. During the week you can give yourself an ulcer with an unlimited spare rib for a reasonable price. Absolutely great.

Ik ben zo blij om te zien dat het restaurant nog steeds open is en de heerlijke ribben serveert. Ik was in de jaren tachtig gestationeerd in Camp New Amsterdam en ons favoriete restaurant was Steak Kepass. We moeten nog beter smakende ribben vinden en we wonen momenteel in het Amerikaanse Heart of Barbecue, Texas. Wij kijken uit naar een terugreis naar Zeist en een bezoek aan uw restaurant!

We were having a nice meal with the family at home. And we all had salad and one person just had a bone in it. He was almost suffocated. How can a bone be in the salad. Afterwards no one wanted the salad anymore.

The meat was dry and bland in taste due to little marinade. Not the top quality I was used to from Kepass.

Good food, friendly service, excellent value for money

Spare ribs were good, mixed grill was mediocre, not seasoned and not hot. No salt and pepper mill, just small jars of salt and pepper. We were the only ones in the shop. Older lady had to wait outside in the cold until the business opened just after 5 p.m. They hadn't finished lighting the candles and setting the tables yet. It turned out we were the only ones. We left at 6:30 PM and there were still no other guests. Tip: salt and pepper mills and don't leave people out in the cold, but open the door just before 5 p.m. In any case, we won't be going there again.

It has become very expensive and you get less and less. Sometimes burnt pieces of meat are added. Tip: take everything separately for multiple portions, otherwise you will only get 1 bowl of salad and less sauce. By the way, there is hardly any sauce.

We have eaten delicious spare ribs with salads at Kepass for years. Unfortunately not today. The coleslaw and the regular salad were now together in a container, so everything was mixed together. That wasn't very tasty. And unfortunately 1 rib was too burnt to eat. In the future, make sure that no burnt meat is sent home with customers. That burnt taste stays with you for a very long time. Kepass spareribs have been a household name since the 1980s! I have tried quite a few spare ribs, but have not yet come across better ones than those from Kepass! You really come here for the spare ribs, they do have a few other dishes on the menu, but the ribs do it. The restaurant is small and simple, the service is friendly. Pick up is also an option.

I've been coming here for years. Still the best spareribs I know. Parking when you pick up is a nightmare, narrow street with few parking spaces in the middle of a residential area, so you are often forced to only half-stand on the sidewalk.

For the tastiest spa ribs in Utrecht you simply have to go to the Kepass. I've been going there all my life and I wouldn't want anyone else.

We come for the delicious spareribs. Furthermore, it was a quiet Thursday evening and we had the feeling that we were the last to be looked away. And it is a small and not really cozy restaurant. The owner clearly focuses on takeout.

I go to all those ribs that have good reviews. There are really good ones.. I prefer to come here, it's the tastiest for me. There is some variation but it is always tasty.

After a long time, I got a double portion of Spare Ribs again today, I will stick with you, they are the very best, well marinated, fall off the bone, top 5 stars and an honest review for you from me. When I get spare ribs, it is with you and nowhere else! !

Been several times for their famous spare ribs. Last time I got a huge portion and there was no need to order more. The included salad and fries (and the bread beforehand) were really good. The spareribs were a little tougher this time. Previously the meat would sometimes fall off the bone, but that was not the case now. Still, they were very tasty to eat. This also applies to the marinade. It was previously a bit thinner and more sour, but this slightly thicker variant should be a keeper in my opinion. I was prepared for cash payment, but you can now also make a transfer on the spot. That saves you a trip to the ATM.

This special restaurant remains a winner. Truly the tastiest spare ribs in the Netherlands, but the other dishes are also delicious. Nice service, fair price… great.
