Nice and cozy place, very attentive and friendly service. Highly recommended. Restrooms are quite small for larger people.

We were there on Saturday night for a fun evening. There was live music and it was very enjoyable and cozy.

Aperol, without orange slice and sparkling wine, but with a pile of ice cubes, so you can only drink half, after which it's just water. Caesar salad with chicken, old chicken, dressing tastes like mayo. Cutlery was provided after my husband went looking for a waiter when the food was on the table. What a waste, for the money.

Unfortunately, the service was poor and very slow. Our order wasn't taken until an hour later, and the place was almost empty. The food took another hour, and they forgot half of it, so we had to wait again. At the end, I ordered a second drink, but that was forgotten too. After we were fed up with waiting another hour for the staff to come by, we asked for the bill, and of course, the second drink was included. It's disgraceful. I can only recommend it if you have plenty of time and are traveling without children. The food was good.

Delicious food in a good setting, at normal Dutch prices.... Update 2025: The bread as a starter for €10 was unfortunately completely dry, followed by two cheeseburgers for €19.50 each, which unfortunately left a lot to be desired in terms of taste. Everything was served on sticky tables with sticky menus, thus, unfortunately, our last visit. Service staff were attentive and friendly.

Delicious dish! The pasta is creamy and perfectly cooked, the shrimp are fresh and juicy, and the cherry tomatoes add a refreshing touch. Beautiful presentation and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Great location, food very bland and limited. We had two steaks, one was 220g and one about 150g. The beer wasn't full, so you definitely pay for the portion. My daughter's burger was unfortunately raw, even though we asked for it to be cooked. The waiters were just idling, having fun with each other but not serving...

We had dinner at the restaurant, very pleasant sea view. The dish was good, good value for money due to the location of the restaurant. Very friendly staff. Disappointment: when we wanted to order dessert we were told that the kitchen closed at 10 p.m. and that food was no longer served... so be careful for French tourists who are used to being served until the end, you will be disappointed depending on your arrival time!

A very nice atmosphere, the service was very friendly, and we generally felt very comfortable. The food was also really great. We had the finger ribs, the burger, and the salmon. Everything tasted excellent. We were absolutely satisfied with the price-performance ratio. Highly recommended! 👍

This is a disaronno sour... The bartender isn't knowledgeable, the cocktails are watery, it attracts tourists, the atmosphere is nice but you'll find too many tourists around. The waiter is extremely rude.

It's almost impossible to find good food on the boulevard, but at Steam you certainly can. They especially love the meat. The service was also friendly. The restaurant is in dire need of renovation. The toilets are literally falling apart, some of the chairs are sagging, the plastic plants are covered in 10 years of dust, and the floor is full of holes.

Perfect place for lunch. It was a lovely day to sit on the terrace for lunch. There were many lunch options and enough cocktails to choose from. The disaronno sour was very refreshing and the food was very tasty. The club sandwich was generously filled and the portion itself was quite big, so perfect for lunch. The staff was very friendly and there was a nice atmosphere.

Visually a beautiful place, strong contrast - especially in lighting when the sun's shining strong, which can cause discomfort, but otherwise beautifully decorated. Both for the place and their food. > Service was varied; some very helpful and friendly, but others seemingly judgemental or monotonous in communication. > Great selection of different dishes and drinks, which can be on the stronger side. No huge complaints, definitely worth checking out if fancy for a drink.

Last time here was 2/3 years ago. But when we recently went to the theater in Scheveningen I immediately thought of Steam, because that was always very tasty. The starter was certainly that, but the main course left something to be desired. Taste mwa it was okay, but certainly not as it was. Fries were fine, but you are sitting next to McDonalds and they are about the same. In short, next time I will not immediately think of Steam. Too bad because it was really delicious.

The restaurant offers a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, perfectly located by the sea, which greatly enhances the overall experience. However, the service leaves something to be desired – the wait time is quite long, even for something as simple as a bottle of water. On the bright side, the food was excellent – well-prepared and flavorful. Unfortunately, the dessert didn’t live up to expectations and felt like a weak point compared to the rest of the meal.

This restaurant is very beautiful. The location is decorated with great attention to detail and attention to detail. We also had live music, which created a fantastic atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the wait wasn't long. There were specials I'd never had before, but I'm definitely addicted to. The service was friendly and accommodating. Cozy tent with helpful, friendly staff, unfortunately no outdoor terrace

No idea what's going on but tonight the food was lukewarm or overcooked. The staff showed little interest in the guests. They were more busy with the phone or with each other. They see that your glass is empty but don't ask if you want something else to drink. Let alone ask if you enjoyed it. They didn't do it twice and they didn't ask when you were paying if everything was to your liking. I think they could have filled it in themselves. The shrimps were lukewarm to start and the ribs were overcooked until black. The guests around us were also not satisfied, a long wait and the starter and main course were on the table at the same time. No second time for us.

The food was very good and the staff is very friendly. They are always there for you, and if you need something extra, they are happy to hear it. Everything is arranged and delivered quickly. The music created a nice atmosphere.

I recently had a wonderful dinner at this beautiful restaurant and I can’t help but share my enthusiasm. The food was absolutely delicious and you don’t have to worry about getting too little, because the portions are generous. I chose the burger with half a sparerib and that was a perfect combination. The taste was excellent and the quality of the meat was clearly of a high standard. This restaurant is definitely recommended for anyone looking for good food in a nice atmosphere. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

We went in the afternoon to drink 2 cocktails which were not drinkable.. they had no alcohol in them at all.. they cost 20€ and we paid 50€ and the waitress didn't accept them because she said she didn't have change!!! The place was nice, it had live music but that's it. With so many choices around I wouldn't recommend it.

A great location. We booked a table there on Easter Sunday, which was a good idea as it got quite busy. We were lucky that we had a solo entertainer at the piano. That was great. We could have stayed hours longer. That was a great evening. The food (finger ribs) was great and the beer menu was second to none. Next time in Scheveningen, definitely Steam Restaurant. 😊

Went for a bite to eat this afternoon. Very tasty cocktail and 12' o clock meat. A small note, I still like to soak a fried egg and this was a bit overcooked. Delicious meat croquette, fries and truffle mayonnaise. The pulled pork sandwich was also tasty. Cozy atmosphere! You certainly won't feel cold there because there are plenty of heat burners, so warm that we were in our T-shirts and had to ask to turn it off 🤣. Friendly staff, but the young man who served us did not understand us very well. I found it difficult when we were asked if we needed anything to drink, while all our glasses were still full and perhaps one tip to the young man, labeling the cutlery... I was still eating when he wanted to clear the table. But hey, it's a small thing. If we had to visit Scheveningen again, we would come back!

The waiting staff here are the best I’ve encountered in a long time, efficient, attentive and great sense of humour! Loved the selection of food on offer and the food arrived rapidly. Great atmosphere in the restaurant itself and cleanliness standards were also high. Delighted we experienced eating here.

The unsanitary conditions are of the highest level!! The tables are dirty, completely covered with sand, the floors are dirty, I asked her to wipe the table and she did it with displeasure! Terrible!!

As a steampunker, of course I had to visit this restaurant. Very friendly and attentive service. The restaurant is decorated with great attention to detail. The food was very good, the rinses were very tasty and the marinade was a perfect mix of sweet and spicy.

I had ordered a mojito, what arrived was only externally similar, no limes and no sugar, ice with rum and water, some mint for decoration.

Yet another place at which my first received impression by the personnel is: Leave all your money and do not dare to order, but do not forget to tip much!

Judging by the overwhelmingly positive reviews, we came here for dinner during spring break. It's a very cozy restaurant, with very friendly and attentive service. The prices are reasonable, and the food was delicious. The finger ribs are highly recommended, deliciously flavorful and a generous portion, as is the half chicken with fries, which was nicely seasoned and super tender. The cheeseburger was also a hit, and we finished our evening with a delicious dessert: the homemade Oreo brownie—a fantastic dessert! If we ever find ourselves near Scheveningen again, we know where to go for a pleasant, delicious evening.

A lovely and charming place on the Scheveningen boulevard. Great live music too. But of course, you come for the food. And it certainly didn't disappoint. The burgers and meat dishes all come deliciously from a (good) barbecue/grill. So they're really good. I had the truffle burger. The bun was also very good, and unlike what you often see these days, I could eat it with my hands. Delicious! It comes with a portion of fries. With the burger, I drank a very tasty New England IPA from '2 Chefs Brewing'. My wife had a Caesar salad. It had tasty pieces of chicken with a nice crispy breading. However, they were a bit on the dry side. My wife had a sauvignon blanc, which was also good. After these dishes, we both had coffee. A nice, spicy cup! What we didn't like: My wife got her food, but my burger took a long time to arrive. A waitress went to check on the kitchen and returned 10 minutes later with my burger and shortly after that with the fries. Mayonnaise is supposed to come with each portion of fries, but we only got one. We didn't mention it and left it as is. Then we ordered two more coffees. But after 15 minutes, we hadn't received them either. So we told a waiter, and he went to tell us. 10 minutes later, still nothing. We asked another waiter. Again, no luck. Then I asked the waitress, who had already helped us with our dishes. She did resolve the issue, but it took another 10 minutes. And that much waiting, plus the fact that the food wasn't served together, is a real shame. However, the food and the atmosphere are reasons I would go back. The live music was also nice. The guitarist, in particular, had a good selection of songs.

We were truly thrilled with this restaurant! It's located right on the promenade, surrounded by many other restaurants, but stands out with its exceptionally friendly service. You feel welcome from the very first moment. The food is also delicious, especially the chicken, which is an absolute insider tip! It's freshly grilled and incredibly juicy and flavorful. Even if you're only served the lunch menu at lunchtime, you can ask for the dinner menu – it's listed there. A definite recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a relaxed atmosphere! We'll definitely be back.

F E R M E R & F E R M E N T E R! We thoroughly enjoyed an evening at Steam. After the musical Aladdin, we went looking for a place to have a drink. Steam immediately caught our eye. We didn't regret it for a second. We had delicious cocktails while enjoying the live music. Z3 sang songs on request, and the icing on the cake was that they even sang "just for us": chaising cars. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Very nice bar/restaurant with a great atmosphere. The prices for drinks and food are completely exorbitant and unjustified. You leave hungry, but you still spend a small fortune: €8 for a roll with regular butter, €8 for the steak, which was medium-rare, almost cooked, and extremely small. Everything tasted very good, though. The prices for cocktails and long drinks are also excessive. It's a shame; we would have liked to stay longer.

What ridiculous service there. Absolutely outrageously rude. Never going back, and the cocktails are also undrinkable. Skip it, it's a waste of money.

Lunch. Menu: "Smoked salmon with lettuce, avocado, and egg on traditional bread: €13.50 for a slice of brown bread with minimal salmon and plenty of garnish. With the last three sips of the meager glass of Shiraz, my mouth was full of sediment. I mentioned this to the waiter, who smilingly replied, "Those are crystals in the Shiraz." While sediment can occur in the bottle, this glass was clearly the last drop from the bottle...not done to serve it like that. Even worse: Shiraz is listed on the menu for €6.50 per glass. In fact, the charge is €7.00 per glass! At Steam, you feel like a third-rate tourist, and as I leave, I think: too bad, and not until next time.
