You just expect good food at a village restaurant, but the food exceeded every expectation. Delicious food and the service was also great! Friendly and knowledgeable. The pork belly as a starter was incredibly tasty, as was the venison main course. The spareribs were super tender and fell right off the bone. The tuna tataki was also super tasty! A hidden gem in Aarle-Rixtel. Definitely recommended to eat here once or more often. In any case, we will definitely come back. 🤗

What a fantastic restaurant and what great service. We ate here for the fourth time and were positively surprised for the fourth time. It is culinary at a very high level (this really smells of star level) and for an extremely reasonable price. In short: a wonderful evening out in many respects.

What incredibly delicious food! Sublime flavor combinations and matching wines. We recommend the chef menu where you can choose between 3 or 4 courses. The advice was to choose 3 without dessert and then see at the end if you still had room/fancy for it. Top advice. Haven't had such a good meal in a long time. The explanation about the wines was also very good. Recommended if you are in the area!

Just 5 km north of Helmond there is a nice rural region, with old farm houses, a castle, the interesting village of Aarle-Rixtel with a charming pub and restaurant called Stout. I have no idea why it is named Stout as it means naughty in Dutch. Or is the name referring to to Stout beer? Driving through the beautiful rural surroundings, we went there for lunch. Excellent, also for veggies. A large choice of good wines and local beers too. Friendly staff, decent prices. My wife and I recommend the place, yes. And after lunch do cross the street and you will find an amazing candy and toys shop called Jantje. Old Brabant authentic, wow. Also selling local brewed beer.

The "truffel burger" was not that good but the Fries where 10/10 🤤

Went out for dinner again with my wife. With 3 children aged 2 and younger, you are happy to be able to get away from it all in the evening. First time we have been to stout. We sat in the Conservatory. There is a nice atmosphere and the service was friendly. The 4-course surprise menu was very tasty and beautifully presented. We will definitely come back again.

Mijn salade met gamba’s was fantasieloos en daardoor te duur betaald. De andere gerechten waren prima. Alleen de bediening was een flop. Er werd niet naar onze tafel omgekeken. De man achter de bar ( ik denk de bedrijfsleider) had geen verstand van wijn zei hij en wist ook niet dat het lamsrack was op het bord wat werd geserveerd, want ook daar wist hij niets van zei hij .Zijn kauwgom vond hij wel heel lekker…….zo te zien. Jammer van onze avond !

I never give five stars, but here the wildest dreams have come true. We were able to come for dinner with a group of four because another group had canceled. Reception was very hospitable and friendly. We could have made a small preliminary choice in advance. The food was nothing short of excellent. Our meal is a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. And everything served with the same customer friendliness. An absolute must to eat. Thank you for the nice evening.

If you are in the Helmond region, this is an absolute GO! The surprise menu can be ordered in 3 or 4 courses. Every dish is a party in your mouth. Dishes that you might not normally order are now available. And that's not a punishment. Big compliment!

Nice staff. Good food. Have been coming for the delicious lobster soup for years. Today I brought my daughter who had a smoked salmon sandwich. Tasted good but very little smoked salmon for a lot of money (16 euros). The fish is paid dearly 😉

The food was delicious: original recipes with very nice flavor combinations. Also for vegetarians. But I think 4 hours (from 7 p.m. to almost 11 p.m.) for a 4-course dinner is really too long!

Every bite you take is a party. I had beef cheek and eel as a starter, veal tail and sucade as a main course and the chocolate dessert with pecan nut, cinnamon and tonka bean for dessert. You are constantly tasting. It is a culinary voyage of discovery where you are mainly enjoying yourself. In one word fantastic!

Yesterday we had the 4-course surprise menu with 7 people. It was really surprising and above all delicious. I can't say one tastes better than the other, it was all great. If you want to eat quickly, you should not order this, but you will be told this in advance. Once you've tasted this, you'll be glad you took your time. We sat inside for 4 hours (including drinks beforehand and (Irish) coffee afterwards. The gentlemen serving are also great. Not too tight but also "nice to talk about".
