Had a nice meal with my sister. It is a nice place to sit. It was noisy, though, but that is partly because I can't stand that. I will definitely come back here again.

We weren't very lucky with the food. A toasted sandwich is also quite a difficult dish to make.

This beach restaurant combines a rugged, industrial-style structure with a comfortable interior and fantastic views. It’s a great place to sit both indoors and outside, and dogs are welcome too. The menu offers a good selection of snacks, shared plates, and varied dinner options. The staff are very friendly and attentive. It’s also a great spot for families: children can safely play on the wide beach directly in front of the restaurant while parents can easily keep an eye on them. Parking is available on the other side of the dike. There are plenty of spaces, although availability naturally depends on how busy it is.

They only don't have a receipt anymore; you have to take a photo of a terminal.

I can recommend this to everyone we go out to eat regularly but this is really super amazing I don't think it gets any better for those who don't agree with this that's a shame BUT THIS IS MY OPINION

We ate Hapas pumpkin curry, vegetarian kapsalon, beetroot salad, and ceviche. Small dishes (except for the kapsalon) but more than enough for two. We found everything very tasty. Subtle, unique flavors. The service was friendly and fast. The wine (Pinot Grigio) was delicious. The view there is a treat in any case. Plenty of free parking. All fantastic. An expansion on the beach below could be a suggestion.

Enjoyed this beach bar. Ate here twice on the same day, started with coffee and cake and then had lunch. Super nice waitress and delicious food. Beautiful view of the beach, what more could you ask for? Thanks!

Great location with surprising dishes.

We went here for a bite to eat in the evening. At first, they forgot that we also wanted to have dinner, which meant the menu took a bit longer to arrive. After sitting for forty-five minutes, and having indicated ourselves that we wanted to order, we were finally able to place an order. Nice view, but few parasols on the outdoor terrace. In the heat, it is hot everywhere here. If you are looking for cooling off or attentive service, you won't find it here. The food was fine, but for this price and the service, you can settle down elsewhere in Harlingen. For some items on the menu, they use a "newspaper article" to place the dish on. With a vegetarian dish, you also get a newspaper article. But, one that only shows meat. Funny, but mostly inappropriate.

The calamari are highly recommended. Excellent service.

Waiting a very long time to be served. Ordered 2 fried eggs with brown bread for €24. The bread tasted very old and dry. I mentioned this when paying, and they said thank you for letting me know. Nothing further is done about your complaint. A bad experience. I won't be coming back here.

Could be better for allergies. Lactose is not the same as a cow's milk allergy. If you order something else, everything without sauce because it contains milk.

The gambas in the salad had a foul smell. We said it to the waiter and all we were told is "I will let the kitchen know". Apart from this, the location is nice and the have some board games to play which is nice.

Burned in the sun. No adequate parasol shade and chairs were poor and narrow. Food was fine. Service was lax, but very friendly. Waited a very long time for dinner (in the burning sun). Almost decided to leave. Hopefully better next time.

We had a sandwich with beef strips and one with goat cheese. The bread on both was dry on the sides, seemed half-toasted, and soaked in hummus in the middle. The beef strips were overcooked and tough in places. The Cheddar on top was like rubber. The goat cheese was fine, but next time we would prefer the walnuts crumbled. They tasted stale and old too. The service was neat, friendly, and efficient. With all the nice and good lunch alternatives in Harlingen, we will be having lunch elsewhere next time.

Lovely beach pavilion on the beach on the outer dike, with a terrace and a direct view over the Wadden Sea, the boat to Vlieland, part of the harbor, and Harlingen in the distance. The atmosphere could hardly be better. The service is excellent, friendly, and helpful. The food is good, as it should be.

After calling a staff member, we were welcome to come and eat, despite the late hour. We were also politely informed about a birthday party, which meant we might have a less attractive spot to enjoy the sunset! Upon arrival, we were already received somewhat sadly, but there was plenty of room on the terrace. After we had ordered a drink and asked a friendly and helpful staff member for the menu, the hospitality changed. The nice staff member was sent away from our table by her manager. The manager told us with a steely face that, contrary to earlier assurances, we could ‘not’ stay for dinner after all. The fuses in the fuse box of the ‘kitchen area’ had all blown. We could, however, still order a selection of bar snacks... that is EXTRAORDINARY, because the kitchen did have power... We had little choice, so we left feeling hungry in search of a place where we would be welcome. We have never eaten anything so ‘salty’!

Lovely place to sit for a bit on the beach in Harlingen. The price-quality ratio is good. The food is usually delicious. Clean toilets.

We walked in and it was actually quite cozy. However, the person we spoke to did not speak Dutch and told us in English that we could take a seat somewhere. Once we picked out a table and waited for almost half an hour, no greeting, no hello, and completely ignored by the staff. Unfortunately, we left without a drink or a snack; I certainly won't be walking in here again next time.

We had a lovely lunch this afternoon after returning from Terschelling. It is located close to the harbor, so within a few minutes you can look back at the beach from the terrace or inside while getting off the boat and enjoying good food. Great value for money and friendly service.

The beach bar truly impressed me. The location is simply unbeatable – right on the sea with a breathtaking view that I would gladly return to again. For that alone, it deserves a perfect 10/10. I ordered nachos, which were also tasty – a solid 8/10. Nothing extraordinary, but definitely delicious and perfect for a relaxing visit. What was especially lovely was being able to look directly out at the sea while eating and drinking. This atmosphere truly made the experience special.

I've been coming here for years, but there's been a change of staff now, and I have to reacquaint myself with the staff. The atmosphere feels a bit unfamiliar to me. I had a cappuccino with pumpkin spice syrup and fish and chips. I was charged €25.50 for it. The fish was a whole cod in batter. The meat was deliciously juicy, and the batter tasted faintly like oliebollen (Dutch doughnuts), which was a nice touch. The fries were too salty for me, so I only ate a few. The sauces (ravigot and mayo) were delicious, as was the salad with dressing. I brought the dog, and he got a small pot of water. The location is phenomenal; I'll definitely be back.

Typical beach pavilion. We stopped by for coffee and cake, and the cake was really delicious, but really expensive! The beach was a stinking pile of mud from some kind of work, and therefore not a great view, but I guess it's different in high season.

Whenever we're back in our hometown of Harlingen, we always find ourselves at 't Zilt. We often enjoy a drink and the view, and the service is always friendly. The menu is a bit limited, and (too) often they can't provide something. What they do serve is good, though the portions are a bit small...but hey...in nice weather, sitting outside at this location is hard to beat...great.

Beautiful location! It's a shame that while we were seated, the staff were moving tables and chairs. It was uninviting and the kind of noise you'd rather avoid when enjoying a meal out. The food was decent. Not refined. The sauce was sloppy, which overpowered the starter. The salty salad with imitation crab is not recommended.

We had a wonderful meal and sat on the terrace. Although the high chairs on the terrace aren't meant for long dinners, as they have a rim on overly large bottoms. The view was of the sea, and everything was delicious (for 4 people, 45 euros per person).
