I've rarely experienced such poor service. Items weren't delivered, but no replacements were offered on their own initiative, tables weren't cleared in between, and people were rarely asked if they wanted another drink, so they had to go downstairs to get more. If you can't handle groups, you shouldn't offer a group menu.

The pizza is good, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming.

Unreasonably expensive for such a tiny super mediocre slice of pizza

A nice place in itself, but the pizzas came from the counter and were really not tasty.

We ate at this restaurant a while back. The food was certainly tasty, but unfortunately we were often distracted by a man who worked there. He started talking a lot about crypto, while we were not interested in that topic at all and were just eating quietly.

Good slice o’ pizza, good ratio cheese-to-everything else

Bought a 2-course menu for 3 people via social deal. When we came in, they couldn't find our reservation. Poor service, glasses were put in a pile on the table. The girl couldn't tell us how the concept worked. It was cold inside. We received one starter too little and the cutlery was missing. To top it all off, a woodlouse ran through the carpaccio!!! Immediately indicated that we did not want to eat here. Fortunately, we did not have to pay for drinks. What a terrible tent.

Please give proper plates. These wood boards make a mess (food goes to the table and the table gets a mess) and it’s not nice to slice the pizza with the paper that comes with it.

We came with a group for dinner, pre-arranged arrangement with 3 courses. The starter was a bit too little for the size of the group. Then the whole place was full of stinking smoke and burnt pizzas ended up on the table. New pizzas were promised, which then never arrived. We were hardly asked what we wanted to drink, the wait for the drinks and the next course took forever. There was no service, very unfriendly staff. While people were still eating, the table was cleared, very rude.

not welcoming, the pizza is small and not tasty. just a waste of money and you would be better off spending your money on a better and decent restaurant elsewhere!

Maybe I was unlucky but the experience wasn't the best. I was there for lunch on a Sunday, the place was empty and the choice of pizza by the slice was very poor (only 3 mixed flavors in a single pan) I approached a slice of red pizza with cherry tomatoes. Very bland and tasteless, furthermore the base was decidedly soft, not crunchy as the pan they offer and advertise should be. €8.5 a glass of water and a slice. Definitely overpriced

Food is good but service on Saturday was terrible, feeling like you annoy the employees by being there, and add to ask multiple times for everything…

Had to keep waiting hour for getting order and pizza. Self-serviced drink and picked up pizza from downstairs. Pizza tastes fine, but the experience was negative.

Wow! What a great treat! The food is amazing! Super fresh! They bake it right there when you order. They have a great selection of wine and the people are SO NICE! Can’t wait to come back!

Long waiting, small pizza for a high price.

Was ok but were looked away after an hour

Despite the decent food and the friendly staff, we had to wait over 60 minutes for our pizza slices, which ruined our evening plans. I can not recommend this place to anyone, but I give 1 extra star for the free drink we received for our patience. To the owner, perhaps consider hiring more staff.

Very tasty sugo pizza. Tastes incredibly delicious and is big. Typically Amsterdam: relatively expensive but you can definitely afford it. It's worth it. Very friendly staff. Nice ambience inside

The dough is really good, the toppings (depending on the pizza) can be great. The caramelized onions and walnuts is definitely a great choice. The small option (2 slices) is more than enough if you aren’t too hungry. 👍🏼

I was in this place a couple of years ago and I have come back after a long time. Unfortunately the quality of the pizza is lowered since last time I was here , the dough is not risen as it was in the past . The prices are quite insane for the amount of food you get (a small piece of pizza )

We went for the 'unlimited Sugo' evening where we could eat unlimited pizzas for 2 hours 🍕!! The pizzas were tasty, not a 10/10 but solid enough. We often had to wait for our pieces and the service gave a chaotic impression, but take this with a grain of salt because I think it was the first time for this place to run this concept. The only thing that bothered me was that my eyes were bothering me because of our table location - it felt like I was getting smoke in my eyes, because we were on the floor above. That dampened the atmosphere a bit and I really wanted to go outside after having had a good meal. Price was very good! So I would like to try it again later and at a different table 😊🍕

Enjoy a delicious meal here.🍕 Friendly staff. Nice and low threshold. Wonderful when you stroll through the city. This is what we miss in Hoofddorp. Recommended with social deal.

Nice cozy restaurant with about 20 seats upstairs. Via Groupon we had a starter of your choice + unlimited pizza for a good price. As a starter we had carpaccio, shrimps in aioli and meatballs in tomato sauce. All starters were tasty, but the shrimp were very small, especially in relation to the other two starters. As for the pizza, there is quite a choice, including vegetarian options. There weren't a lot of traditional Italian flavors as you might expect. Our favorite flavors were truffle with mushrooms and mozzarella and the 'not your ordinary margherita'. The sauce of the latter in particular was very unique, kind of like jam. We didn't like the arrabiatta because it had no cheese and the pizza was not spicy. The pizza dough is nice and crispy and the pizza is made fresh as soon as you order. Service was also friendly. All in all a delicious meal and worth repeating.

It was such a rip off!! Such a waste!! Never gonna come back!! The pizzas only have the cheese, like you are eating bread and cheese not the ingrediant. They brought me carpaccio of oyster muchroom. It is nothing like it!!! Frozen!! Tasteless!!! And when I said it is wrong they said they are gonna bring tomato for me!!! So irresponsible!!!

Staff is nice. Pizza is good. But too expensive for pizza Al taglio and staff really needs to attach their hair/wear stuff on their hair. I’m pretty sure this isn’t compliant to sanitary rules in kitchen….

A very unique tasty square pizza on a lovely light fresh base. Happy and friendly service too

The pizzas are one of the worst I ever had. Way too fat, to much cheese and the taste was spongy because of the fat. Other thing I didn't like: no lasagna at 5:30 pm because it was finished. The staff was also not in the mood. For the pizza lovers I would advice to skip this restaurant.

We came here on a Monday night to get takeaway pizza, it was so yummy. Such a shame as the restaurant was empty, not sure why as the employees were lovely and the aesthetic was great inside. Worth a visit and they made them super quick so we could take back to our air bnb.

The server was downstairs and he barely came to see if we needed any extra slices . The place was empty at that time even if he had delivery orders its not an excuse. Also, tbe taste of the pizzas was amazing on the first order. The second order was mediocre and therefore we didnt order any extra. We had booked the all you can eat option through social deal.

Heel leuk gelegen in Amsterdam. Fijne buurt! Wij namen een slice pizza gekarameliseerde ui & walnoot. Dit was €6 (dure kant voor een slice) maar rijkelijk belegd en ontzettend lekker! Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar omwille van de smaak en inhoud. We vroegen om tabasco saus, hadden ze niet. Wel kregen wij siracha saus. Dit was heerlijk!

Came all the way from USA. Best pizza we have ever had anywhere. Crust is superb. Anytime we are in Amsterdam Sugo pizza will be our go to place!

Na een dagje Amsterdam ter afsluiting gegeten bij Sugo. Zeer vriendelijk en meedenkend personeel. Heerlijk gegeten! Absolute aanrader, wij komen zeker nog eens terug.

Super goed eten, super goede sfeer en een fijne service. Pizza slices zijn echt heerlijk gevuld met verse producten. Service is goed, duurt niet lang en de sfeer is top. Het is een cozy restaurant met fijne muzieksfeer en een fijne setting.

Echte al taglio pizza, oftewel pizza van de plaat. Heel knapperig en heerlijke smaken. Ik ga hier veel.vaker eten, alleen sfeer is zoals fastfood keten maar wel beetje Italiaans.

I would not have expected it from a "pizza by the slice" joint, but the pizza Margherita here was a positive surprise, freshly prepared and really tasty. It's a good option for a quick bite on the go.

La migliore pizza Italiana ad Amsterdam

Voor het vrijgezellenfeestje van een vriendin hier gegeten met 16 dames! Van te voren fijn contact gehad en een menu kunnen afspreken. De service was top en precies zoals we van te voren besproken hadden! De pizza's waren echt heerlijk, vers bereid en veel variatie. Als je gek bent op de Italiaanse keuken zit je hier goed :)

Gemakkelijk te bereiken locatie, gevarieerde lunch kaart met uitstekende rijk belegde sandwiches en pizza's. Altijd hartelijk ontvangen door het personeel. Een echte aanrader "jar cheesecake" voor ter plekke.., thuis... of onderweg.

Delicious pizza and amazing service :)

The pizza here is good but it is way too expensive. Me and my girlfriend came here just for a quick little snack. So we both ordered one slice and a coke. This cost us 20 euros which is a ridiculous price (see picture to see how big 2 slices put together are), although the pizza did definitely taste very good! I do have to say that both the atmosphere and service were a bit lacking, the place felt a little dead. Trying this place out was definitely worth it but I would only recommend people to check it out if they are not on a budget.
