Delicious food, highly recommended. Meat was tender and deliciously spicy. Good and fast service. Customer friendly. We thought the price-quality ratio was really reasonable. We will definitely come back.

Not normally tasty. Everything is really delicious and super fresh. Surinamese Indian as it should be. The garlic naan and the saoto are recommended. But actually everything was great! We also received an extra plate for the little one to eat with us. Service is very attentive and professional. Cozy atmosphere. Generous portions. I wanted to take pictures but the food was too tasty, I couldn't wait ;) We will definitely come back here. Thanks for the good care!

We had a very good dinner here recently. Food was delicious and plenty. Staff was very nice and environment of the restaurant was pleasant. Portion sizes were quite good and prices are fair. 10/10 recommended

A very nice restaurant, very friendly and good food, we have been coming here for years.

What a strange restaurant. We had called for take away but then called again to eat there. Wasn't a problem. When we get there, we order a drink, the owner comes to us and tells us that we can only take away and not eat there. Then just give up, I said. Then I'm not going to pay to "someone like that". I had already gone outside, but my girlfriend wanted to talk it out. She was then mistaken for a drunk person by the owner. Have to give stars for posting, but they are certainly NOT worth it! What a ball tent! We had called to pick up an order but then asked (by telephone) to eat it there. That was no problem. If we order a drink there, the owner comes to me and tells us that we are not allowed to sit there and that we have to take it with us. So no, just give up, I said. Then accused my friend of being drunk...She was just chatting with the people at the table next to us. All in all, a terribly unsympathetic owner and certainly not worth the stars!!!!

Wat een ballentent. Is die ene ster niet waard. Vreselijke eigenaar. We hadden besteld om af te halen maar daarna gebeld om alsnog daar op te eten. Dat was okay, maar toen we daar zaten mocht dat dus niet meer. Werden we weggestuurd door de vreselijk onaardige eigenaar ! Mochten het eten wel mee nemen, maar wat denk je zelf....stik er maar in. Die gast geef ik nog geen stuiver !

Reserved for 2 people for Saturday evening 6pm. Upon arrival there was confusion about the agenda with the owner. After asking and searching back and forth, there was no room. Nor was a solution sought. (only eat within an hour). Back home without doing anything. Shame about the particularly bad service. So never eat here again.

Had a delicious meal at Sunita. Tasty traditional Indian dishes. Pure and fresh. Everything was prepared with love. Definitely recommended 😍

Roti lam was prima alleen super zout. Halve zoutpot was er over gestrooid volgens mij . Wel doorgegeven, ben benieuwd of er iets mee gedaan wordt. Ik las t al in eerdere beoordelingen.

Booked an overnight stay nearby due to work. Once you arrive, you suddenly crave delicious roti. Went looking and ended up here based on reviews. Ordered roti chicken thigh and baka bana with peanut sauce. Wow... how delicious... Delicious food and enjoyed in a small, nice place. I will definitely come back!! Thank you xx

We ate Roti Vegetarish. It was soo delicious. The roti was slightly different than Indian roti(More like Puran poli but savoury). Itbwas delicious. It was served besides cauliflower, soya, etc curry. The salads on sides were delicious too. Highly recommend trying their roti roll. My husband tried the lamb roti roll that was delicious too for a non vegetarian option.

We ordered for €70 for the 3 of us. But what a disappointment this was 😭 I can make a much better Butter Chicken myself. I thought this was very sweet and thought it was special that it did not come with a standard naan

This small super nice Surinamese/Indian restaurant is a gem among the larger restaurants in IJsselstein. The personal atmosphere, the food and the antourage, everything is right. It doesn't matter what you choose, chicken tikka massala or roti everything is very tasty. Wonderfully seasoned. From spicy to very spicy, there is something tasty for everyone. Sunita's is highly recommended. We have been there before but we keep coming back. Keep it up great guys.

Small restaurant... food is great, service OK, atmosphere OK as well; the takeaway / delivery activities pass through the restaurant - table... bit distracting

Delicious food, nothing to complain about. The ladies' toilet, on the other hand, was too dirty for words. Wasn't cleaned. Eating at the side of the bar was also disappointing due to the door that kept opening, causing a lot of cold to come our way, perhaps a curtain is an option.

After a long journey and a very disappointing viewing of a car, we wanted to end our day with good food. That has more than succeeded here. Delicious food, excellent service and friendly staff. More than enough choice on the menu. If we lived closer, we would definitely come for dinner more often!

We order here regularly and the food is also very tasty. On their site you can also indicate what time you want your food. We always order around 4:00 PM and because we had to leave today, we chose the 5:00 PM delivery option. At 5.30 pm you call to find out where our food was and then you are kind of snubbed. Then remove the option that you can indicate a time from your menu.

Once again a delicious meal. Highly recommended

If you order food at 6 p.m., it will not be there at 7:45 p.m. This is really scandalous. I will never order here again. And the explanation when you call also makes no sense. It is that you have to give 1 star. And also via their own website they say it will be delivered between 20 and 45 minutes.

Never thought that in a village there would be a Surinamese / Hindustani / Indian Resturant. But Ijsselstein has this pearl. We ate delicious biryani, roti (made at home with real masala) and bojo with coco ice cream. We come from Amsterdam ourselves, eat out a lot and the fact that we rate this restaurant with a 9 is very exceptional. For us the most important plus points: small and cozy restaurant. Food is prepared fresh daily and is reasonably priced. Highly recommended! Minus point: they are very well known in the area, always full, after 7.30 pm the crowds decrease, so make a reservation... if possible.

Een zeer goede indisch/Surinaamse keuken. Heerlijke goed gevulde soep (beetje heet maar niet te) en heerlijke nassi speciaal. de gebakken banaan was veel te hard en te droog. De bananen horen erg rijp te zijn.redelijke prijzen. het is er wel klein, wat minder tafels met plaatsen zou het minder lawaaierig maken.

Klein restaurantje met lekkere keuken. Voorgerecht mixed starter. Lekker wat verschillende dingen proeven. Hoofdgerecht Sunita Special Balti met basmati rijst en chicken kashmiri Korma Indiaas met basmati rijst. De chicken zat in heerlijk zachte kerrie saus met amandelen. De Sunita Special was kip, lamsvlees en garnalen in een ietswat pittige saus. Maar niet te pittig. Heerlijk gegeten. Prima restaurant.

Leuk, vrij klein restaurantje. Eigenaresse en personeel zijn vriendelijk en doen hun werk goed. Ik vond het een grote plus dat ik alles van het menu kon eten, aangezien ze geen rund- en varkensvlees serveren. Wij hadden Indiaas eten en dat was ontzettend lekker! Ik kom zeker terug.

Genoten van een heerlijk Indisch-Surinaams diner in dit sfeervolle restaurant, in het hart van de historische binnenstad van IJsselstein. Vlotte, gastvrije en vriendelijke bedoening, alle gerechten heerlijk vers en goed op smaak.

Leuk geholpen, kan op je gemak eten. Vriendelijke bedieningen heel lekker en voldoende eten.

Samen met vrienden voor het eerst bij Sunita gegeten. Zal zeker niet voor de laatste keer zijn. Heel lekker gegeten!. Klein minpuntje, het Indiase bier op en de menukaart is wel heel erg uitgebreid.

Dedicated staff. We spend most of our time outside, just two tables, but with ashtrays, smoking not yet prohibited. For me and the Mrs. the reason for stopping here. The small inside seemed uninspired, yet clean. A place to come for the quality of the food, not the atmosphere. Your selection of food is Hindustan, so mostly Indian. The Roti (look it up if you are unfamiliar - best known Dish from the former Dutch colony of Suriname) I was looking for was featured quite a ways away from the top of the menu. I ordered as takeaway and re-heated at home, so I took this into account when considering to give a 3 or 4 star rating. The Roti plate (a sort of unsweetened pancake) is half of the experience, the lady who seemed to be in charge replaced mine for a non heated one when she learned we had a ways to travel yet, before eating. Structure and consistency were excellent. Currently a weak spot for many places that sell Roti, often being too fatty and flaky. Not here, this was as it's supposed to be. Roti itself was fine. Potatoes (hardness) just on the edge, but fine (actually worked well). The 'Sambal' (included separately) recipe is a matter of personal taste. I enjoyed it but would prefer Mdm. Jeanette peppers a bit more present in the flavor. Overal the flavour of monosodium glutamate (in Hindustan -Suriname kitchens often referred to under the brand name Ajinomoto) was a bit overpowering in the dish overall. Still, the best Roti I've had in a while. So 4 instead of 5 stars, but still very good. If all the dishes are like this, a possible must-visit.

Authentiek Indiaas eten uit echte tandoor oven. De peshwari naan is een aanrader (eigenlijk alle naan) Lieve eigenaars maken graag tijd om de klanten goed te bedienen en de gasten goed te verwelkomen.

Al zeer vaak ben ik hier geweest en het voelt altijd weer als thuis komen. Het eten is altijd voortreffelijk. En Sunita is zo ontzettend lief en zeer attent. Een werkelijke aanrader!

Keer op keer blijven we verrast door de heerlijke smaak. Dit is een pareltje in IJsselstein. Heb in het verleden al buitenlandse gasten meegenomen en iedereen geniet. Zelfs Indiaanse mensen zijn zeer te spreken over dit restaurant. Echt een aanrader, de kok is een meester in smaak.

Heerlijk gegeten vriendelijke bediening.

Smaakvol qua inrichting en ingrediënten en bereiding van het overheerlijke voedsel. Vriendelijkheid troef. Zeer aan te bevelen voor iedereen, die naast de Hollandse pot eens verrast wil worden door Surinaamse toverkookkunst.

Heerlijk gegeten, we waren met vijf man en iedereen vondt het heel erg lekker.

Smaak is goed, helaas vaak fouten in de bezorging waarbij onderdelen van de bestelling missen.

Meerdere surinaams & indaas restaurants uitgeprobeerd in de omgeving Utrecht, maar dit blijft echt mijn favoriet. Als je lekker wilt eten moet je zeker hier komen!

Heerlijke Roti Lam Speciaal! Helemaal uit Vleuten komen we hier speciaal daarvoor. En in het restaurant eten is zeer knus en warme en gezellige sfeer.

Geduld wordt echt beloond! Het eten is heel lekker: kip is mals en saus is verrukkelijk!

Roti met lamsvlees besteld maar volgens mij is het rundvlees. De smaak en structuur zijn anders. Aardig aan de prijs maar verder wel goed
