Sushi Era in Haarlemmerbuurt

I have been ordering from sushi era the last two years, it is the only sushi place I order from! I have tried their poke bowls, various rolls and their gyozas. Everything is ALWAYS fresh and delicious, even when they are really busy. The people that run it are very kind. They always give me extra ginger. Thanks Sushi era! 🍣 ✨

Small neighborhood sushi takeaway. The prices are really competitive! Much lower than anywhere else in the city (and even outside). The quality is good, so it's become my go-to spot in Jordaan!

Good sushi and nice people working there. I have never sat inside, but always ordered takeout. I regularly order online via their own website and then pick it up. There are a few seats at the bar: so it is not a large sushi restaurant if that is what you are looking for. Good sushi!

What a wonderful experience. We had a delicious meal here and the quality of the sushi was truly excellent. The plates were beautifully presented and everything tasted super fresh. The sushi with the beautiful glossy sauce was especially highly recommended. It is the perfect place for a relaxed evening out. We will definitely be back here again.

We ordered sushi through Thuiszorgd, but unfortunately it was cancelled. Sushi Era couldn't do anything about that, so we picked it up! Upon arrival, they apologized, which wasn't necessary but still appreciated. After returning home, there was an extra roll and spring rolls! A great place and definitely recommended!

I highly recommend Sushi Era to lovers of Japanese food. Those who aren't already will surely join the club of Japanese food lovers after trying it. The place is very clean and organized, the dishes are prepared with great care, and the owners are extremely kind. In our house, every Friday night is Sushi Era night!!

We enjoyed 2 quick rolls before we had to go to the airport. We dropped by during rush hour, and were told 15-20 minutes. 10 minutes later they had our food ready while also keeping up with their deliveries. We felt bad stressing out the couple working there but they were all smiles as we left the small but cozy restaurant. The tuna was especially good compared to what we usually get.

Finally found a great place for good quality, affordable sushi! I've been there four or five times since finding this gem. Besides the fresh fish, the grain and temperature of the rice are fantastic. They also have a lovely indoor seating area. We ate in once, and it was a great setting, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. But I usually opt for takeout. Oh, and my guilty pleasure at Sushi Era is the three slightly larger spring rolls. So I would definitely recommend those.

Amazing sushi place and the prices are great. They have combo type sushi dishes and it is great to taste different types. Their sitting space is limited and it takes a while to get your food, but they are great at making sushi and all of them taste delicious with an affordable price.

I recently had a sushi takeout from this place and I can say with certainty: I have never had such delicious sushi. Everything was super fresh, carefully prepared and perfectly flavored – from the salmon to the crispy rolls, it was simply amazing. What made this experience even better was the friendly couple who run the place. They came across as incredibly warm and hardworking people who are truly passionate about what they do. You can taste it, and feel it when you walk in. I am so glad I discovered this place. This is without a doubt my new favorite sushi takeout place. I can’t wait to order again!

I ordered the tuna lovers set and the inside out spicy tuna dish through Uber Eats. Was pleasantly surprised by the spicy tuna dish, but that is what I expected given the rave reviews. However, I found the tuna lovers set to be too bland. The rice did not taste vinegar-y at all, the tuna didn’t taste like tuna – it didn’t taste like anything, even the seaweed… no taste. I thought it was just me but I asked my housemate to try it and she also agreed. I’m thinking maybe the forgot to add the vinegar when making that particular batch of rice? Anyway, I’d still definitely go back and get those inside out dishes but I’ll pass on the nigiri or the sashimi next time.

First time ordering sushi in Amsterdam and what a Dimond find!! “Sushi Era” We ordered 2x All in one set 3x hand rolls - 1. Salmon 2. Eel and a 1x Avocado Special Roll. We got told it will be a little wait, around 30/40 minutes but we were fine with that. There are plenty of things to go see and visit whilst you wait. We came back after 30 minutes and turns out our food was already ready waiting for us. Taste - Fresh, Tasty, Super!! Great customer service!! Very thoughtful! Next time we are back we will revisit defo!! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
