As an expert Local Guide and one of the most influential in France and worldwide on Google, with over 15 million views, I'm sharing my personal experience here… After traveling to many countries and trying countless Japanese and Asian restaurants around the world, I can honestly say that Sushi Eyes 2 is one of the best surprises I discovered in Amsterdam. Frankly, the quality and especially the freshness of the ingredients are remarkable. From the first bite, you can immediately tell that the ingredients are carefully selected. The fish is incredibly fresh, melts in your mouth, is flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The sushi is generous, well-balanced, and visually stunning. Another very impressive aspect is the speed of service. Even when the restaurant is busy, the dishes arrive quickly while maintaining excellent presentation. The team is professional, welcoming, efficient, and always pleasant with customers, which makes the experience even more positive. You can feel the real organization and dedication in the restaurant's management. The atmosphere is also very pleasant, modern, and friendly. This is the kind of place where you immediately feel at ease, perfect for spending quality time with family or friends. The portions are generous, the flavors are spot-on, and each dish makes you want to try more. Honestly, of all the sushi restaurants I've tried in the various countries I've visited, Sushi Eyes 2 more than deserves its reputation and excellent online reviews. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all lovers of truly great sushi in Amsterdam. Kudos to the entire team for their consistent quality and excellence.

We came across this precious gem of a restaurant whilst on a trip to Amsterdam. The restaurant is clean and inviting, good table space, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. During our visit the staff were a little bit busy and apologised on two occasions for delays (we only waited under 30 minutes for our food). When the food came it was beautifully fresh and had just the flavour you would expect. We already started eating before taking our photos it was that good. All sushi is made to your order and honestly so worth dining here. Thank you Sushieye2 🫶🏼

I ordered a large sushi platter, and it was absolutely delicious. What stood out most to me was the rice, the flavor was better than at many other sushi restaurants I’ve tried. The fish tasted very fresh and full of flavor as well. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a quick snack, lunch, dinner, or even if you just want to order at home.

We ordered a salmon combo. Very fresh, it was fine, but not the best experience. We also ordered some crispy tuna rolls, and they weren't good; they tasted like soap. Expensive for what it was. Beyond that, the negative aspect was that we were going to pay in cash, and they gave me €20 back in coins, which is understandable. But when I went to pay by card, they charged me a surcharge without warning. I would have stuck with the cash payment. Whether my card was from the EU or not, they should have informed me.

I often get my sushi here. The food is super good and the staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend coming here!

No service at all as i enter they gave me the menu but then no attention given while sitting.

Food was fine but can’t believe that it was like pulling teeth trying to order a meal being one of the two tables there. They also made my order wrong, never gave my spicy mayo, and just seemed annoyed to be working. Won’t be coming back again

I wanted a sushi feast to have in my hotel on the last night of my Europe trip, and this was the closest sushi restaurant. The man who took my order was very friendly and patient as I decided on a variety of items. When I opened the box, I was genuinely shocked and how massive the pieces were. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented - even for takeout.

We had a delicious meal there. The price-quality ratio is excellent. Very fresh products. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Very good food and lovely caring people

We arrived a bit early. No problem, we drank green tea while waiting for the kitchen to start. And then the flavors arrived... heavenly. Good proportions, one bowl is enough for you. And with a shared meal, you can take food home. What stands out is the cramped atmosphere. You simply don't expect this quality. Highly recommended.

Delicious, fresh sushi. Everything is very well-stocked and prepared with great care. The chef and staff are very friendly. Authentic little restaurant with a friendly owner who welcomes everyone warmly.

The sushi is way too expensive for regular sushi! It's prepared to order, and you can see the chefs cooking it, but neither the taste nor the location justifies such prices 💁 2 small skewers are 5 euros, a salmon poke bowl with a few pieces of salmon is 19 euros...

Always good quality rolls and friendly staff here. Especially can recommend Dragon Tasamaya it's the one commonly known as a Philadelphia roll.

The food was incredibly fresh and delicious; there was plenty of choice too. The service was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was pleasant and peaceful.

We got take out. Cashier was very kind, friendly, and attentive. The vegetable and salmon crunch rolls were amazing, the miso soup was comforting and very hot, and the cucumber salad is a good deal. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We took a set of rolls and nigiri. Everything looked very nice, but it was difficult to eat. The rice was falling apart, and the soy sauce was very salty. The service was good.

We walked for a few minutes from the center but it was worth it in the end. Very nice service and you really can't say anything about the sushi, excellent quality for a very fair price. The rice wasn't too sour, the salmon wasn't too cold, but in my opinion the tuna could have been a touch warmer. I can only recommend this restaurant 👌🏻

Only the furnishings are ugly/cheap. And from the outside it looks completely horrible. Dead plants in the pot outside. Old dirty planter with weeds in it. And further advertising with photos of sushi outside. Doesn't look like much! Take an example of what Izakaya looks like from the outside, chic and neat as you would expect from a Sushi restaurant. Too bad because the food is good!

Very fresh and tasty sushi. It was our last night in Amsterdam and we ended it with a bang. It’s worth it. The service isn’t that fast. I think they had a lot of takeout. The atmosphere is simple but quite pleasant. I definitely don’t recommend the miso soup… it’s quite thin and unsalted…

We love to eat sushi and this restaurant is amazing! The flavor, the cut of th sushi is perfect! We order the combo salmon Tuna 2x. The kids ate like crazy! We did not manage to make a nice picture, but when the second combo was almost ending, I did one picture! Congratulations for the team, everybody very friendly!

Absolutely amazing food! Cooked fresh to order by the fantastic chefs. It was a cold winters night and we warmed ourselves by the heater and enjoyed a ridiculously large amount of delicious sushi for a very good price. It was so good we had to go back! Thank you

Very friendly little restaurant, warm atmosphere and attentive staff. We were served very quickly (around 10 minutes) even though we ordered for around 50pc and the dish was delicious! The only time I ate sushi without soy sauce and had a culinary orgasm.

We ate there last night and got VIOLENTLY sick with food poisoning. The whole family was vomiting all night. Stay away. Update to respond to the restaurant’s comment: We don’t live here and due to the food poisoning have ruined a full day of our vacation. Everyone is sick and didn’t sleep last night due to vomiting and diarrhea from the raw fish (which obviously had some bacteria or parasite… not fresh). We literally have no reason to leave a bad review, but we did get very sick and this restaurant needs to check their fish so that more people don’t get sick. We have 2 small kids and this is really a serious health risk.

I don't know why they give five stars, my experience was quite bad. The atmosphere was generally not comfortable, there was no proper ventilation and the smell of oil filled the room. The weather was pleasant outside, but inside the restaurant it was very hot and there was no means whatsoever to reduce the heat. The workers inside had shiny skins from the heat. As a result, there was no feeling of comfort and you could not enjoy yourself. Simple tables and a tight space. The price was very high in relation to the quantity, location and service. You can spend the same amount, but in a comfortable, luxurious and better equipped place than this. Finally, thank you for the friendly smile. (؛

Hi. The food is always amazing! The staff are so nice and friendly! We really enjoyed the family menu option :))) But something weird happened at the end: The bill was 83 euros and I paid 100 euros in cash. In return, he gave 15 euros and one Lira Turkish coin !🤨 when I complained, he laughed and exchanged the coin with the euros! FYI: one Lira is equivalent to almost 3 cents !!! I believe this guy did this to me intentionally, because when I returned the Turkish coin, he did NOT check it to see if I’m right or he was NOT surprised that from where this coin is coming! Again, this guy is so poor in terms of marketing. We already paid 83 euros and that’s quite a lot, but he is still trying to steal 2 euros!😅 that’s is not appropriate, but food quality is perfect. Thanks.
