Sushi eye2 in Nieuwmarkt/Lastage

We love to eat sushi and this restaurant is amazing! The flavor, the cut of th sushi is perfect! We order the combo salmon Tuna 2x. The kids ate like crazy! We did not manage to make a nice picture, but when the second combo was almost ending, I did one picture! Congratulations for the team, everybody very friendly!

Absolutely amazing food! Cooked fresh to order by the fantastic chefs. It was a cold winters night and we warmed ourselves by the heater and enjoyed a ridiculously large amount of delicious sushi for a very good price. It was so good we had to go back! Thank you

Very friendly little restaurant, warm atmosphere and attentive staff. We were served very quickly (around 10 minutes) even though we ordered for around 50pc and the dish was delicious! The only time I ate sushi without soy sauce and had a culinary orgasm.

The food is super good! Only the furnishings are ugly/cheap. And from the outside it looks completely horrible. Dead plants in the pot outside. Ugly black logo. And further advertising with photos of sushi outside. Doesn't look like much! Take an example of what Izakaya looks like from the outside, chic and neat as you would expect from a Sushi restaurant. Here you see huge plates with images of sushi which gives it a very cheap look from the outside. A shame because the food is good. Tip for the owner, change the outside (remove photos of sushi) and make it chic!

We ate there last night and got VIOLENTLY sick with food poisoning. The whole family was vomiting all night. Stay away. Update to respond to the restaurant’s comment: We don’t live here and due to the food poisoning have ruined a full day of our vacation. Everyone is sick and didn’t sleep last night due to vomiting and diarrhea from the raw fish (which obviously had some bacteria or parasite… not fresh). We literally have no reason to leave a bad review, but we did get very sick and this restaurant needs to check their fish so that more people don’t get sick. We have 2 small kids and this is really a serious health risk.

Hi. The food is always amazing! The staff are so nice and friendly! We really enjoyed the family menu option :))) But something weird happened at the end: The bill was 83 euros and I paid 100 euros in cash. In return, he gave 15 euros and one Lira Turkish coin !🤨 when I complained, he laughed and exchanged the coin with the euros! FYI: one Lira is equivalent to almost 3 cents !!! I believe this guy did this to me intentionally, because when I returned the Turkish coin, he did NOT check it to see if I’m right or he was NOT surprised that from where this coin is coming! Again, this guy is so poor in terms of marketing. We already paid 83 euros and that’s quite a lot, but he is still trying to steal 2 euros!😅 that’s is not appropriate, but food quality is perfect. Thanks.

I don't know why they give five stars, my experience was quite bad. The atmosphere was generally not comfortable, there was no proper ventilation and the smell of oil filled the room. The weather was pleasant outside, but inside the restaurant it was very hot and there was no means whatsoever to reduce the heat. The workers inside had shiny skins from the heat. As a result, there was no feeling of comfort and you could not enjoy yourself. Simple tables and a tight space. The price was very high in relation to the quantity, location and service. You can spend the same amount, but in a comfortable, luxurious and better equipped place than this. Finally, thank you for the friendly smile. (؛

This is a hole in the wall that should turn into a hole in the ground. It smells like oil that hasn’t been changed in months. The service was slow and the sushi roles were not great.

The place is run by a few Tibetan lads and is located right next to the Holiday Inn Express, and about 3 minutes walk from the Arcam museum. The food was great and we were served by a very nice fella who made us feel welcome. We had a few different things. A seaweed salad, a sushi platter, a soup and some gyozas. They were all great. If I were in Amsterdam, I would be back more often for sure. Thugje che!

Having experienced several sushi restaurants in Japan, my expectations have become high regarding establishments in France. However, during my visit to Amsterdam, I did not expect to discover a sushi restaurant of exceptional quality. Here are my impressions: The quality of the food is remarkable: the products are incomparably fresh, offering a maritime flavor that I thought I would only find in Tokyo. A real taste pleasure, accompanied by generous portions. The service is impeccable. The staff is attentive, stopping by regularly to make sure nothing is missing, while remaining discreet. They even added extra dishes to make sharing easier within our group. The atmosphere is pleasant, with moderate attendance. Located in the heart of Amsterdam, the restaurant enjoys a prime location. In summary, this restaurant is worth exploring. The quality of the experience fully justifies the price.

I’ve had some really good sushi in my day and this place missed the mark. I can’t exactly put my finger on what was off about the sushi other than everything being very almost good. The restaurant staff was kind and welcoming. I wish I had better things to say about the food. They just need to get inspired to take their food to the next level. They’re almost there.

Atmosphere: very simple, looks more like a delivery place that has a few cheap tables where you can also eat-in. We went on a winter day, no heating inside. The guys setup a mobile heater for us, nice. Service: the best feat of this place. Kind and helpful. Price: way too much for what you get, see menu pic. You pay Amsterdam center price level for a delivery atmosphere.

Usually I don't write reviews but this restaurant deserves one. This sushi restaurant is one of the best I tried. The sushi was very fresh and tasty. The portions are huge and the prices are very fair actually too cheap in my opinion, especially for Amsterdam where everyone tries to be expensive for bad food. The employees I had were super nice and the food was ready very fast. If you guys crave sushi go here.

Hi there, Since you asked more details about my opinion, here we go: This is just my free advice if you want you can take it !!! 1) The burnt oil smell inside of dining was terrible, so I advise you to improve the air conditioner system.. 2) When the customer asks for Unagi sushi, you do not bring them umami sauce 3) Tell your staff to smile more often 4) it is not a shose gallery it is a sushi restaurant for God's sake, and if you want to have good feedback from your customers, you better improve your food and your service and environment rather than running after reviews...
