t Smikkelhoekje in Binnenstad

Do you want food dripping with oil? Do you want diarrhea for 3 days? Do you want lukewarm food? Do you want stomach pain while eating, and are you willing to pay good money for it too? Then ’t Smikkelhoekje is the place to order your food!

We had a delicious meal and it was very fast!

Since this snack bar changed owners, the fries have been bad. Overcooked, tough junk. It's no longer a real Dutch snack bar, but a shawarma/doner joint. There are already enough of those, and I don't come for doner, but for fries and snacks. There is little choice here.

Had a delicious meal, large portions, and delivered quickly!

I indicated 2 hours in advance that I wanted to receive the order at 7 PM, but it only arrived at 7:45 PM after calling 3 times. Our Pasta Carbonara had mushrooms on it; these were not listed in the ingredients, yuck! Frikadel speciaal, delivered without the 'special'.

1 portion of fries with mayo and a can of Coke Zero. 8.45 euros, a bit too expensive, but the fries are fresh, so that makes up for it.

Waited a very long time, about an hour and a half, and the fries were cold and bad.

Small portion with a croquette for €8.10, so never again (and the fries were dry)

I have been ordering here for many years. Always tasty food at a good price. Lately, prices have gone up, which I fully understand. But then just maintain the quality of your food as well. The quality of the food has been declining lately. I ordered again today, but the quality was truly deplorable. It's a shame, but as of today, I will no longer order from here.

Ordered twice, late both times, highest delivery costs €5.95. Food cold, of course (can reheat possible once/cannot twice). Cold Pizza Funghi: 2 raw, wafer-thin mushroom slices. Lukewarm, tasteless Pizza Gorgonzola. Both pizzas were very dark on the bottom and had burnt edges. That's why I couldn't reheat them. Unchilled Spa Red. Bill €40. Called immediately on the day of ordering, but they were apparently closed. Called the seemingly new owner today; he was willing to arrange something this time. Because €40 was too much for this fiasco. Offer: 2 pizzas for free, but pick them up yourself, or pay €5.95 delivery costs again. I declined. Wasted money, don't get the same thing for the 3rd time!! I read reviews; the previous owners were much better. I rest my case!!

Delicious fries for cheap and kapsalon with rice

Very bad fries Ordered a small portion of fries with a croquette The fries were half raw and the small pieces so hard they would break your teeth This was clearly a leftover piece that had already been fried along with the fries The croquette was also soggy A few years ago this was a good place and a real snack bar Several snacks aren't even available anymore I'll go to Scheldestraat from now on

Food black and burnt not 1 hair salon good had 3 children's menu were reasonable

The food was literally swimming in grease. And the fries were still half raw, unfortunately. Normally, the food was really good, but recently it's really gone downhill. My cheese soufflé is practically soaked with grease. It's a shame what happened to it. It used to be a really good chip shop, but since the new owners, it's no longer good.

It's a real shame what happened to this place. The previous owners prepared the food with love, now it's lying in a pool of oil, "inedible."

The pizza was delicious, and especially well-topped. I had one slice left, and normally I'm still hungry after eating a whole pizza :)

Delivery was fast, but the food was inedible. We had pasta carbonara three times, which was in a bath of milky soup with far too much pepper. Thuisbezorgd didn't mention that it contained mushrooms, and after a lot of hassle on the phone, a new one was delivered without mushrooms and also without any flavor. In short, NOT TO EAT.

Very friendly staff and a snack bar that stays open a bit later, satisfying late-night hunger. The pizza was delicious and, at around €11, perfectly reasonable; great selection.

Can't understand that guy, just whispering, eating is fine.

Very bad food. The chicken was still raw!!! Never ever ordering again!!!

It's a nice place to get some food when you're hungry. Don't have to think twice when going there. So go out and ask them for some fries and maybe a pizza if you're even more hungry. Enjoy it there!

Everything here just tastes good! The best fries, good portions and for fair prices.

Really unbelievable. So delicious! And a lot! And that croquette we got with it; eaten first. Nice and crispy. When we order, we order here! The gentleman who delivers it is also always super nice :)

Wow, this man can bake! Yesterday a mayo/peanut fries, today a pizza, in one word, absolutely delicious!!

Unfortunately today the fries were really mediocre. I doubt they ever taste it themselves. Can't say why, but they are quite hard, tasteless potato sticks.

Very nice people, I order at least once a month and it is always good to eat today, also a super sweet delivery person who makes my son happy, just like a bowl of baklava, really great, you get a free snack or fries, it is small, but the 2 kids can eat here good food together, really great, keep it up Just to add, the döner pizza is my partner's favorite and after tonight for my Turkish pizza with döner in The Hague, they really had good ones, but these are just as tasty. I would like to thank the people for such delicious food. People who liked it bad have no taste.

Best Kapsalon i ever eat in Netherlands ! Quality meat and veggies! Thank you ! :)

Very tasty fries, very generous. I'd love to come by again!

The döner sandwich was delicious.

Ordered all kinds of things here. Always delicious and always friendly service!!!

Delicious Döner. Tasty crispy meat pieces with well-fried fries, salad and tasty sauces. Received a good warm up so that it was still warm after 10 minutes of cycling.

The reviews are not suddenly so negative, of course. Since the new owner the food has been really bad. The fact that a few friends now give a high score doesn't really make the whole thing more believable. The review from a certain Debora below is also laughable. Finally tasty fries in Vlissingen?! That boiled mess from the freezer that makes the tent blue? Then you've probably never been to Meijer ;). If it's bad, shouldn't it just be said?

Delicious doner dish, nothing to complain about.

The place smelled of old frying fat and so did the food. The edge of the pizza was dark black.

Food has deteriorated greatly since the new ownership. Fries are boiled rather than fried, it seems. In addition, the snacks that come with the fries are not thoroughly cooked and are often lukewarm/cold. Even the soft ice cream is bad and the cones are tough. Really not good anymore unfortunately.

great desserts pizza and the food is delicious

Food was okay! Price performance for Holland was also possible!

Good tent. Good food. Friendly staff

Yum yum pollo fungi dish was really delicious....and the kapsalon chicken was also great

To start with, we had a nice meal. The fries were especially delicious! Finally tasty fries in Vlissingen. The snacks were also tasty. Super friendly people too. I'm not someone who quickly leaves a review, but after reading some reviews I still want to leave something. The fact that people give this starting business (taken over) 1 star because their favorite snack is no longer on the menu makes no sense. It is a new business, with a new menu. There is now pizza, pasta, hair salon and more. That's no reason for 1 star. Also the low rating, because there are no more family business fries.... Just like above. That's no reason to give such a low rating. Do you realize that because of your unjustified reviews, this business gets a lower overall rating, just because you assume that a new business has the same menu? In any case, I am happy with this new business and hope that people will not be discouraged from going because some people post special reviews.

We ordered pasta, which was really VERY UNTASTEABLE. Paid €38 for 2 pastas that came with 2 grams of sauce. What a shame

Happy with the new owner. She has created a few cozy seating areas outside in the sun and she prepared my ordered durum sandwich deliciously with delicious fresh vegetables on it!

Delicious order, everything neat and well taken care of, very satisfied, döner sandwich, according to partner, was the tastiest we have ever eaten, meat was tender and not too greasy, thank you

Super tasty food. Highly recommended and they are always friendly when I order.

Since the new people, the food is no longer acceptable

Very friendly and helpful owners, they have completely cleaned, renovated and painted the snack bar and kitchen. The food is very fresh and delicious fries. Good snacks, baked the right way. The Turkish pizzas are great. I picked up, but you can also have it delivered! The new chairs and tables look luxurious. A welcome addition for Vlissingen.

Today we ate delicious pizza and pasta at te smikkelhoek, it was delicious and the new owner was great

Major setback. Order delivered after 50 minutes and everything is lukewarm/cold. This used to be a chip shop but I think it changed owners and focused more on pizza and doner. The fries are limp, we received the wrong snack (Frikadel special instead of frikadel). The doner sandwich has to be put in the oven at home, it is so cold and the comment I made (wishes on the sandwich) was not taken into account when ordering. In the end, not much goodies for over 20 euros

Oh dear. No progress after the previous owners built a great name. Food lukewarm. Particularly fat. Order incomplete. And in the end, the best people came to the door three times for a refund. Regrettably. Edit. Supplement afterwards. Everyone in the house has a stomach ache. Two stars has now become one star.

Unfortunately the menu has changed... hardly any snacks available and large fries without sauce 5.00??? . Very unfortunate, we were regular customers, but this was the last time

Too bad it has changed, we always order a family bag of fries, but that is no longer available... nor more than a frikandel and croquette, too bad, that will be the chip shop here on the square.

Food not bad but could be improved

Great place to learn about the savory food the Netherlands does best. Quite some vegetarian options such as cheese kroket. The staff was lovely. Good place to learn some Dutch vocabulary and practice with the people

I've just been there, there was a smoke in the store, bad sign, 2 chicken corn on two rolls with satay sauce, the satay sauce tasted very cheap, too bad... making fresh satay sauce is better. Recipe: Peanut butter (calve) Ketchup Ketjap Caster sugar Sambal Conflict White pepper 4 types of herbs (jar) Milk or water Good luck making it.

Quite expensive considering what you get on your plate, but tasty food. That's it

Last weekend I picked up food. Kapsalon and a mix dish döner/kebab. The taste of the food was good, but I thought the food was quite pricey. The mix dish döner/kebab was 17 euros, while in the area this is at least 2 euros cheaper (some places even for 12.50 euros), the portion of meat was actually what you get on average at other restaurants. It is understandable that there may be some difference in prices, but I thought this was quite a lot and will therefore be less likely to order here.

Very neat place, friendly service, food was excellent, will definitely come back again

The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly.

Plenty of options for snacks, which not many places have so that is a real plus. I had really nice fries here once, but this time the fries seemed old. I think about 50% of the bag of fries consisted of hard fries, a real shame and honestly a waste of money. The chicken frikandel seemed to be fried too briefly and did not taste very good. The other snacks we had were fine.

Delivered quickly and good service. The pastas ordered were very tasty. They could put more vegetarian dishes on the menu. Recommended!

Delicious food! We got our food quickly. The service was friendly and the food not expensive! Recommended!

Could do something about delivery times. The large hair salon turned out to be small in our opinion, and the Hawaii pizza contained 9 pieces of pineapple... Otherwise, it tasted good.

Poor communication with customers about waiting times and delivery. We were waiting for almost 1.5 hours while the order had been on 'delivery soon' for 40 minutes.

very dry pasta. Mostly delicious was awful tonight.

Best fries in Vlissigen. Can be picked up or ordered via home delivery. Always delivered hot with a smile.

Haven't had such delicious fresh fries in a long time! Just like the cheeseburger sandwich! Highly recommended!! It sometimes takes a little longer, but if everyone wants to eat at the same time, you know it can take a little longer... that's normal, right? Keep it up, you have a new regular customer 🍟🍔🤗 PS delivery people are always neat and friendly

Some time ago, we had it delivered to our home, via "thuisbezorgd.nl"... Delivered on time. Pizza 🍕 was good, but pasta was substandard. Cooked far too long and the chicken fillet was actually fine meat (charcuterie). They had put salad with the hot pasta during transport (salad warmed up). So it is more likely to be food from a cafeteria than from a restaurant. I passed by the restaurant a few days ago (see photo 📸). So seems sloppy, unkempt looking. Shame. Price-quality ratio here can be described as moderate to below average.

Delicious food and really not expensive, very clean and friendly staff

Very tasty food. I give 4 stars instead of 5 The reason for this is that I have already ordered 3 times and without vegetables/salad and still received this.

The food is delicious, especially the hair salon (: Good service, they always keep their delivery agreements.

Great tent! Very nice and neat delivery! Food looked great and tasted great too. Delivered on time and it was still super warm. One of the better delivery restaurants in Zeeland!! Worth repeating.

Very friendly people, delicious food. Nice service.

The food is delicious. If they are a little later than planned, they will call you politely Delivery person is also very nice☺️

Smikkelhoekje has good stuff. Sometimes you have to wait a while, but that shouldn't spoil the fun. Ordering via the app is cheaper than home delivery. They steal too much from the entrepreneurs, so you should just drop by or order via their own app.

Excellent fries and very friendly delivery people!

Antisocial people! Don't order anything anymore

Lightning fast delivery and very tasty, thank you

Pizza is very tasty, always delivered on time. They recently introduced a warming box for delivery, which works well! We order here regularly.

Had wrong orders twice, called both times and the owner immediately defended himself and said that the order was correct! The first time, with a lot of effort and a big mouth, they managed to complete the order! 2nd time a not normally rude guy (I think the owner) on the line who indicates that I should not order from him anymore! Very strange since I can actually see what I receive and what I don't! And that after waiting 1.5 hours😅 Customer friendliness (from the owner) is at 0 here and if your order is not complete you don't have to expect them to 'believe' you and resolve it with you! Catch free money😉

Very tasty fries! Second best in Vlissingen

Very good quality fact and snacks. Very friendly owners.

Fresh, delicious quality and nice service, unfortunately the atmosphere is not that nice!!!

Waited more than an hour for order and fries and lettuce were missing

Surprised by the good quality of their home-made fries. They are also not frugal, compliments.

They do their best, but unfortunately they have no catering experience and they lack experience in frying

Very friendly welcome, delicious pizzas! We go back again on occasion!

Picked up food a few times in recent years. Reasonable chip shop. Fries are fine. It is noticeable that the snacks taste slightly fatter than the competitors in Vlissingen. Also often see grease stains in the containers. They are probably not drained as well and put into the containers too quickly. Not the perfect Snack Bar, but for me it deserves a pass.

Quiet restaurant in the center of the village. Delicious with baklava.

Delicious fries, friendly staff.

We waited there for 10 minutes at the bar for a table. And no one came. It's not that they didn't hear us with three children. And there was only 1 table occupied. I don't think they are waiting for customers in their restaurant. It's that you can't give - stars. Really rude. We just turned around and went to Mario, which is highly recommended.

Had a delicious meal with the very hospitable gentlemen from pizzeria Torino 😃

The food was super tasty! The pizzas and dishes are definitely recommended. Friendly staff and we didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive!

Delicious fresh fries and snacks, friendly staff

Super tasty food! Ate in the restaurant over the weekend. It tasted great. And friendly staff

Terribly bad business, and if you order something it takes at least half an hour before it arrives, while home delivery 40 minutes before it arrives indicates that it will be there within 5 minutes

To start with, the order arrived 45 minutes late. 2nd, the order was not what I ordered. When I order 2 sambal and 3 garlic sauce, I receive 5x garlic sauce. The rest of the food was not really tasty. Ordered a kapsalon without fries due to allergies. Can I still get fries with it? Just thrown into the bin. Bad thing……

The Turkish pizza is highly recommended. The pasta with eggplant could really be better, I was able to find three pieces of eggplant in an excess of pasta.

Not friendly, just arrived, but hunger is already over! Bah bah, when you have to treat customers like that, you can't help but smile!

The food arrived half an hour late, there was no herb butter and mushroom sauce instead of pepper sauce and the food was cold

Delicious fries good service 👍🏻 +late on Mondays, where many are closed or close early, they are still open
