What a wonderful evening we had. From arrival to departure… everything was perfect… delicious dishes… a charming atmosphere… A very friendly hostess… Simply fantastic!!!!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Chloé, in particular, was a wonderful hostess. The food was also delicious, and the atmosphere is always pleasant, thanks in part to the restaurant's decor.

We had a delicious meal at 't zus in Tilburg tonight. We were lucky, because I accidentally booked December 20th instead of today, but we were still able to get a table near the bar. The service was excellent and very friendly. Nothing to complain about! Unfortunately, we were really surprised by how the manager (at least we assumed it was him, the man behind the bar in different clothes) treated the staff. We're not difficult or whiny, but wow, what an unfriendly man! Several rude remarks were made to the staff, and the tables near the bar were able to hear them thoroughly... I even felt uncomfortable and tried very hard not to say anything. Comments like: ARE YOU DISLECT OR SOMETHING?!?, You've been doing everything wrong for two days in a row, how hard can this be?!, We're going to have a talk!! Etc. etc. The guy was new, super friendly, and didn't do anything wrong at our table. He repeatedly pulled a note out of his hand and said, "Pff, I'll do it myself," and "No, stay here!!! And watch!" I could go on and on about all the comments that were made. There was also a lot of cursing. It really ruined the atmosphere, unfortunately. We really didn't want to overhear, but it was so clear it was hard not to hear. We feel sorry for the staff there. Such a shame!

Perhaps the nicest (and tastiest) restaurant in Tilburg. It has a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere, which, combined with delicious food and excellent service, makes for a delightful, hearty evening!

We were at 't Zusje on September 6th with eight people (celebrating our birthday) and it was fantastic. We had a large table in the back (great for conversation) and the atmosphere was very cozy. The service was excellent (especially the youngest server, 15 years old; a waiter through and through, very professional) and the food was delicious; every dish was equally delicious. The desserts were to die for. I could eat here every week 😁 We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back!! (And the air conditioning was perfectly set this time; the last time we were there, it was quite (very) cold, but this time it was perfect too!)

To reinforce my comment below, I've added some photos from other reviews. It was our first time at 't Zusje. We were warmly welcomed by a cheerful man who then escorted us to our table. Once we arrived, there was a nice little gift waiting for us congratulating us on our anniversary. We immediately noticed that the back room was quite dark and we were sitting a bit further back. We indicated that we wanted to enjoy the all-you-can-eat menus. However, we were very disappointed on several occasions. We were seated at our table at 6:05 PM and didn't leave until 10:15 PM. - It took about half an hour each time to get our next dish. It was already 8:00 PM and we had only been able to order four times. - There were two male waiters walking around who seemed a bit clumsy. Instead of asking, "Is everything alright?" we heard, "Is everything alright?" At one point, the entire tableware was on the floor. - The receipts you use to fill out your food orders were gone, and we asked for new ones. They forgot, and I asked again. This also took quite a while before we received them. When we did receive them, there were three sheets of paper. These, of course, were gone again quickly, and the whole process started over again. Asking for new ones was forgotten again, and it finally took a long time before we received them. When we did receive them, there were only two receipts. After which I had to ask for receipts a third time. - We asked one of the waiters to take the completed receipt with him to enter into the computer. Before we knew it, another waitress came to ask if we wanted the bill. It also took a long time for the receipts to be collected. - When using the restroom, I noticed that the men's toilet seat was completely covered in urine. I understand that this causes customers problems, but it could probably be checked more often to clean it. - Sometimes we were also served something different than what we ordered on the receipt. Not a big deal, since we both like pretty much anything, but it was annoying that we didn't get what we ordered. - Once we started on the desserts and had our receipts ready, we each only got one dessert instead of two. We told them there weren't enough desserts, and only then did they tell us the Bastogne Pafait was gone. We were familiar with this dessert from a neighboring restaurant and were very disappointed it wasn't available anymore. - Then we ate some more desserts, and here too, we sometimes got different things than we ordered. - We both ordered a Pornstar Martini dessert (with passion fruit ice cream), but unfortunately, that was also gone. So, we were twice unlucky with the desserts we couldn't use. - While we were eating dessert, the lights went out in the entire restaurant. Luckily, there were some (fake) candles that provided some light. All in all, a lot went wrong in a restaurant that can still make delicious food. The dishes were small, but they were tasty and well-cooked. The temperature of the dishes was good. Addition after the management's response via email: All my complaints were dismissed as if it were normal. They were just making excuses because it was their first week. According to them, dishes should be on the table within 20 minutes, but they themselves had already indicated it would be a bit later. They looked back and said it was 36 minutes. This, according to them, is a bit later. NO! THIS IS ALMOST TWICE AS LONG! According to the restaurant, guests order an average of 6 times. We were at 9 and had to sit at the table for over 4 hours to be satisfied. According to them, it's possible that certain dishes are ordered much more than they anticipated and then run out. This is about ice cream, not fresh produce. You simply haven't managed your purchasing properly. Especially not on a busy weekend. And then, at the end of his email, he says, "We look forward to seeing you again as a valued guest." Well, they'll NEVER see me here again! And certainly not after this lousy reaction!

It's almost unbelievable that such delicious, high-quality dishes can be served for an all-you-can-eat price. We had a truly delicious meal. But it really starts here from the moment we walked in; they were super friendly and made you feel truly welcome. The service was top-notch all evening! Very friendly and really made sure we had everything we needed. We especially admired the way a 15-year-old boy, who was a bit small, managed to handle things. He spent the entire evening carrying overflowing trays, constantly asking if you were having a good time and if everything was good and tasty, and occasionally making small talk. He's already a true gem in the hospitality industry. The decor and atmosphere are also incredibly cozy and welcoming. A minor drawback for others might be the location of the restroom, which is in the basement. But you're informed of this immediately upon reservation. This was definitely worth a return visit!

Very small portions, mired in grease. We stuffed ourselves with the fries that were always included. We waited a long time for another one to arrive. We drank more than we ate. It ended up being way too expensive!

I don't know what it is, but I'm always a little disappointed after my visits to 't Zusje. Let me start with the positives: a beautiful and atmospheric building, a top location, and the decor is very cozy and warm. A packed menu with lots of choices, and the young man who served our dishes was very kind, funny, and attentive. And the desserts... The desserts are fantastic!! But then there are the dishes. I can only describe them as bland and lukewarm. You don't taste much love, everything is very bleu and pale, and some things really taste like they've been microwaved. And everything is lukewarm. I thought the chicken and waffles were good, but unfortunately, the rest wasn't. And what I also find really disappointing is the rather aggressive upselling. The girl literally came every 10 minutes asking if we wanted another drink, even if we'd just had a drink or there were still full glasses on the table. With a little more love in the food, a better warming plate/lamp, a bit less sales, some fresh herbs and spices here and there, you can really go a long way, I think.

Delicious food. Nothing to complain about. Beautiful restaurant, nice atmosphere due to super nice decor, wonderfully tasty 'dishes' (principle dislike of diminutives, but I understand the '-tje' concept now 😄), good service. Bread roll with it (free), truffle fries with it (also included), just great. Price-quality ratio is absolutely right. What I really liked was that you had no time limit. In the usual tapas restaurants you have to get out of here after 2 hours. If the kitchen takes longer, you are constantly waiting and while eating the course/round you already have to fill in the next dishes, etc. That makes the enjoyment factor a lot less. That was not the case at 't Zusje: you really had all the time, no one looked you the other way. Moreover, everything was 'old-school': just a card (placemat) in front of you and a piece of paper with a pen to write down your round (bring reading glasses, haha). No mobile phones or tablets on/at the table (really no one, a relief), wonderful. I hate restaurants where everyone is just looking at their mobile phone or tablet because that's where the menu is and then you also have to order via a screen. Totally impersonal and irritating. That relaxed atmosphere is so nice: eating your way calmly, with a glass of wine, then looking again at what you like, without wasting time. And the coffee with surprise was also great. Perfect, so. I enjoyed it! Only downside: the air conditioning was really way too loud. When you enter, you first have to shiver. At the table I even had a cold nose and was glad I was wearing my cardigan (it was still 28°C outside or so; too hot outside, way too cold inside). When more people were seated, it became a bit more pleasant, but the air conditioning was immediately turned up a notch (you can feel it!) and you were cold again. That air conditioning really needs to be turned down...

Not a pleasant experience. The table where we were placed was under an air conditioning outlet where very cold air came straight down. After a lot of shuffling and changing, the ladies were somewhat out of the flow and I was completely in it, resulting in a cold. Reporting to the waiter was pointless, they would look into it, but nothing changed. Do not eat here if you are hungry. They have logistics from the previous century. No form of automation. The result is that you have to fill in a card with the table and then, at the mercy of the waiter, it is collected and then processed in the kitchen, which takes at least 20 minutes. In practice, the waiters do not come by often, or have full trays and do not bring the card. This causes a lot of unrest at the table because you are constantly looking to see if there is a waiter who can give you the card. I myself took the card to the bar after a long wait to speed up the analogue logistics. In practice, there is at least 30 minutes between courses, even with the simplest starters. The waiters are well instructed to sell drinks that are well priced. Because there is no end time to the dinner, you will eventually be able to get enough food, but it squeaks and creaks from all sides. People should look at colleagues (such as Gossimijne) where everything runs via an app and tablet and it runs much more efficiently. The kitchen also knows exactly how much of which dishes should be made. The food is good. Unfortunately, much of the meat used is pre-cooked for simplicity, so that it is dry and the dishes mainly have to rely on the sauces. All in all, not recommended and for me absolutely not worth repeating.

Food was good but you can order 2 pieces per person each time and that is not bad but if it takes a long time for the next round to be brought it is annoying. So I would say a little more staff so that it goes a little faster

We went to Het Zusje in Tilburg yesterday. We were initially welcomed in a friendly manner and the interior and atmosphere are nice and well-kept. The food was tasty, so nothing to complain about there. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing: things were regularly forgotten, both by us and by the table next to us. Dishes arrived late or only after repeated requests, and the communication was messy. It seemed as if the staff were not well-coordinated. We also asked if it was possible to charge a phone, but unfortunately that was not possible. Of course, that is not mandatory, but in this day and age it is a service that you see in many places. In short: the basis is good, but there is real work to be done on the organization and attention of the service. Hopefully something will be done about that, because it would be a shame if the experience lagged behind the kitchen and the appearance.

Didn't get a good impression of the sister in Tilburg. The portions were sad to look at, so small and that made the plates seem way too big. The time in between was quite long. And still a pretty steep price for all this

As always, the food was delicious. The service was also great. The only downside is that the first round took 25 minutes, even though it wasn't full. Not a problem for us, but can be annoying if there is a time slot.

Food is cold and takes a little too long, but when it is warm it is tasty

Mooie locatie, vriendelijke bediening maar het eten is echt slecht. Kwaliteit was niet goed en het eten was of niet goed klaargemaakt (te lang gebakken / opgewarmd) of het heeft te lang onder warmtelampen gestaan. Was erg droog en smaakloos. Tevens zijn 2 gerechtjes per keer te weinig als de porties zo klein zijn.

It's a perfect place if you want to have a long meal and chat while eating different dishes.

After visiting Beekse Bergen, we went to this restaurant. We had been to the Utrecht location in the past and it was good. But today's experience at Tilburg was unfortunately very disappointing. The carpaccio stuck to the plate, especially at the edges. So my feeling is that it has been sitting there for a while (maybe as a preparation 🤷🏻‍♂️). The rest tasted fine. German steak, was just hamburger meat. I think that's a false description. Schnitzel was not meat, I think it was made of potato. I thought it was a shame, I expected meat, like a real schnitzel. Brownie was warm, but oh so dry. I really expected better 😑 Tom Kha Kai soup lacks that little bit of spiciness. Maybe 't Zusje should stick to dishes that they really know about? At Wellington it was said "Beef" Wellington when serving, while the filling is mushrooms 😅 Bao Bun could have had a bit more sauce, was a bit dry, but tasted good. Sjoom the orange juice was a bit bitter, but that could be because of the combination with ice cream and mandarin cream...very strange taste, but that can differ per person. I had asked for extra napkins and was told that they would bring them right away. After waiting 5 minutes I asked for them myself at the bar, I immediately got 2, great. But the waiter that I asked for, didn't bring anything later 😬 For drinks, almost the same story. Asked a waitress for drinks, she said she would call someone. Ok no problem. After waiting 10 minutes, I went to the bar myself, ordered and got it. But again, later in the evening no one had come to us to take drinks. Definitely not used to this from 't Zusje. Maybe forgotten due to busyness, it can happen, but that is at the expense of the service. When paying, it turned out that they had charged €17 for my 1-year-old child. I said that my child is 1 year old and the employee said yes, it is from 1 year that €17 is charged. That is not correct because 0-1 year is free and from 2-10 years is €17, I said on the website. The employee looked on the computer and agreed with me completely. The atmosphere was ok, but it was cold. With this kind of experience, I still gave a €3 tip 🙄 Really a shame, I think that 't Zusje has deteriorated a lot and will not eat at 't Zusje for the time being.

Personeel was vriendelijk en het eten was prima, maar we kregen pas na 40 minuten een gerechtje en de porties waren heel erg klein. Na 2,5 daar te zitten hebben we 3 rondjes gekregen en hadden we nog steeds honger. Ik ben niet iemand die snel klaagt, maar dit was echt niet goed.

Very cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere

During our visit we had a pregnant woman in our group. They have a separate menu for this and the dishes are clearly indicated with prikes. Fortunately she was alert to what she got. Since she (unfortunately) got meat twice that was medium-rare. Reported this, no apologies could be made. Very bad and detracts from the experience of the whole. Apart from the fact what the consequential risks are….

Because you can dine all evening, I liked that the dishes sometimes took a little longer, we were able to really enjoy the evening. The concept of a special menu when you are pregnant is really a very good service! We will definitely come back.

From the outside I always assumed that ‘t Zusje was a chain of cafe’s in the Netherlands but not howdy was I pleasantly surprised at how beautifully classy the place was decorated inside. Feels very exclusive and fancy. There are different styles of eating there and many different “tapas” style foods you can order. The food is amazing and the service is kind and patient. I particularly loved seeing the staff train the new youngsters the correct etiquette with patience and caring, it shines the spirit of transparency and hospitality, kudos! The food is delicious and the ambiance is perfect. I was very glad with the Spanish playlist that has a lot of some of my favorite Latin artists and even had a song in Papiamento!! The bathrooms are located downstairs and while they have many warnings about the steps, I was still caught off guard by the dip in the floor. There’s a coatrack available inside but we weren’t informed of that. I love the tiny utensil that comes with a rest for the utensils so you can keep them for the rest of your dining experience. The coffee comes with the cutest little box of “gifts” like sugar, cookie, chocolate, milk, lollipop.

The service staff is nice. The food was tasty, but if you choose unlimited and pay more for it and then have to wait at least 30 minutes for each round, you end up with 1 or 2 more rounds. We sat for 3 hours and ordered 6 times. This is really on purpose. The 1st and 2nd rounds still went reasonably well, after which we had to wait 30 to 45 minutes. Too bad, not again for us.

An unforgettable evening at Tapas Restaurant "Het Zusje" in Tilburg! We recently spent a special and festive evening with family and friends at Het Zusje in Tilburg, on the occasion of our 5-year wedding anniversary. From the first preparations to the last round of tapas, everything was taken care of down to the last detail! The collaboration with manager Rick and owner Joris was very pleasant. They took the time to calmly and clearly discuss all the options for food and drink packages with us. Thanks to their flexibility and professionalism, we knew we were in good hands – and that was more than fulfilled on the evening itself! The staff was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic and service-oriented. The tapas were served hot and on time every round, and the quality was exactly as you would expect at Het Zusje: tasty, fresh and perfectly prepared. There was absolutely nothing missing. Our guests and we thoroughly enjoyed this top evening. A big compliment to the entire team at Het Zusje Tilburg – you made our anniversary unforgettable. Definitely a big 10 and definitely recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy an evening of tapas in a warm and hospitable atmosphere with family or friends. Thank you and see you soon!

This was the 2nd time at 't Zusje @ Tilburg, where I wanted to take my girlfriend because she loves tapas and would love the decor. The service was really fantastic again, very sweet, attentive service. I had a nice chat and a laugh and everything was delivered quickly. We also made sure that the drinks were always replenished on time hahaha, because we love that! And we got a genuine, fantastic birthday surprise. Well... our weekend has started really well. We were speechless. I'm going back for my birthday, with a large group! There is something for everyone on the menu 😍

An attractive and relaxed restaurant. The dish “loaded fries” was tasty, but the name did not quite match my expectations: I had expected a combination of fried meat, vegetables and melted cheese on top of fries, but here it was served in a different way.
