Beautiful new restaurant with both an indoor and outdoor playground for the kids. The food also has a lot of choice and is delicious, only the service is a bit slow. The standard vegetable trio with beets could stay away as far as I'm concerned; I didn't eat any of it.

Beautifully decorated restaurant with a nice atmosphere. There were two of us on Saturday evening at 7:00 PM, and we had the tasting menu. It was reasonably full with diners, but spread across multiple rooms. Fortunately, we weren't seated in the children's 'ball corner'. Very tasty, unique, and familiar dishes, such as delicious stew, some of which were medium-sized rather than small. Something for everyone. Very friendly staff.

Last time, everything went wrong with the tasting regarding the service, but I went again recently and can only say that it was perfect!

It wasn't busy; the two of us got a table next to a large group with small children present. Other tables were unoccupied but still needed to be cleared of dishes. It took a while before a hostess came to our table and we were offered something to drink. We had a delicious meal!

Poor service; they only took the order, and when serving, the soup bowls were still on the table while the main course was being served.

Very good, nice place for parents with young children. There is something to do for all ages. We were here on Wednesday morning and it was wonderfully quiet until after lunch (children's parties, etc.). Lunch was also good for adults and children. Flamkuchen and sandwiches are generously filled, and the children's portions are also a good, large size. Service is good too. The menus are not yet printed very conveniently on standard A4 sheets. I guess this will change in the future, as the restaurant and play area look very good. There is also an outdoor play area available. Due to the weather, we didn't use it, but it still looked fine (guessing it was from before the renovation).

On April 17, we attended a tasting evening with a group of friends at Tante Stoof in Hellendoorn. The price of €49.50 per person (excluding drinks) is on the high side, but that is fine if the quality and service are good. Upon arrival, it was explained that we could order one dish every 20 minutes via a QR code on our phone. In itself, a fine concept, but in practice, it worked very unclearly. After placing an order, it seemed as if it would be automatically processed after 20 minutes, but that turned out not to be the case. You had to do this manually yourself. This was not clearly indicated anywhere, so we only discovered after about an hour why it took so long before we received anything. That is a real missed opportunity and causes frustration. The food itself was okay, but certainly not special or of a level that justifies the price. Additionally, we noticed that the wine glasses were not clean. There were clear lip marks on the rims of several glasses. We reported this, and fortunately, it was immediately resolved properly with new glasses, but naturally, this shouldn't happen at all. At the end of the evening, we shared our feedback in a friendly manner with the waitress, who indicated she would pass it on to the manager. Unfortunately, no one from management took the trouble to stop by for an explanation or a chat, not even when settling the bill. We consider that a missed opportunity. All in all, this was not a successful experience for us. For this price, we expect better service, clearer communication, and higher quality. We will not be returning here again and would not readily recommend it to others either.

We have been coming to Tante Stoof with the family for years. The children can play happily, we have a drink, and then enjoy a nice meal for what was then an affordable price. Only now, after the renovation, which has turned out very beautifully, we had a delicious meal again. During the tasting menu, the wait between orders was quite long; in my experience, it could be shorter. After we received the bill, the fun was really over.

We were here this afternoon for lunch following the renovation. The restaurant looks nice and is a really pleasant place for children – they can play there wonderfully, which is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. We had to wait about 45 minutes for our food, and on top of that, it was served in a staggered manner. The first person received their food while the rest of the table didn't get anything until 10 minutes later. We even had to ask twice for a simple portion of fries. Additionally, the order was incorrect: the curry was missing from the toasted sandwich, and we were never asked if we wanted anything to drink in between. It seemed that communication between the kitchen and the wait staff was completely off. Orders were delivered incorrectly, and the waitresses often didn't know where to put them. Guests next to us, for example, had been waiting for a pitcher of lemonade for half an hour. It is a real shame, because the location and the concept are really nice. Hopefully, the service will be improved soon.

Visited here recently after the renovation, on a beautiful sunny weekday. First, we sat outside on the terrace, then moved inside for dinner. We hadn't made a reservation, though I would recommend it. The indoor play area is really large compared to most restaurants. The terrace itself is big enough, with a direct view of the outdoor playground. The value for money of the food is fine. The service is... mixed... could be better. Friendly, though, but things did go wrong at other tables. In particular, the tables just weren't being cleared. Also, the patio tiles outside remained covered in food. This is definitely something to work on. After reading some reviews, we see that this happens quite often. Tante Stoof, please really try to improve this; it is a very simple way to improve the entire guest experience!

The tasting concept sounds nice. The food you get tastes good and arrives on time. However, we found the price a bit high for what you get, especially for the children. For our 7-year-old daughter, we had to pay €21 for the food; drinks are extra. That is quite high for a few chicken nuggets, some fries, and an ice cream. A concept including drinks would work better. The big plus is that the kids can have a great time there, but ultimately, that is what you are paying for.

Great location, we had an Easter brunch. It was well organized and pleasantly busy, followed by a walk through the woods.

Beautifully renovated restaurant and indoor play area for the children. Outside, next to the terrace, there is also play entertainment for the children. Nicely set up and we had a delicious lunch. The new indoor playground is included with lunch. The children had a wonderful time.

Hot and cold buffet at home. It was great that everything (buffet, plates, cutlery, napkins) could be delivered to your home and picked up again (without having to wash dishes). The buffet was delicious, varied, fresh, and more than enough. Even my discerning brother-in-law and sister-in-law were full of praise. At my request, delicious desserts were added to the buffet for a small extra charge. Highly recommended and definitely worth repeating.

We had a party for about 50 people. We were able to sit both indoors and outdoors. The band (music) was right outside the patio doors, so we could hear it clearly both inside and outside. It was a very pleasant experience. Good coffee, excellent service, delicious and beautiful snacks, and a fresh sandwich with a hot croquette to finish. We were very satisfied. Thanks to the staff!

Had dinner with family (9+). It was perfect for guests with small children. There was a lot of flexibility in menu requests, and they eagerly embraced this. The staff was very patient. The rolls were nice and crispy, but the accompanying sauces were a bit bland. The food itself wasn't as good. The flavor was okay, but the meat wasn't served hot enough. Perhaps it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while? I requested my stew steak medium, but it turned out to be quite rare. The accompanying vegetables were good. The fries were bland, but the fried potatoes were very tasty. Summary: For a meat restaurant, there were some weaknesses. That could/should definitely be improved. But otherwise, I'm not dissatisfied. We had a very pleasant evening here. ++ for the staff, who kept a cool head.

Friendly staff, but we had to ask several times if we could order another drink. We then waited a long time for it or it was forgotten. The food was otherwise okay. Dessert wasn't good. We all regretted having it.

We ate here today. We arrived at 5:15 pm with two small children. The starter and main course arrived fairly quickly. Then the long wait began. We'd finished our main course for over 45 minutes before they even came to clear the table. This was after I loudly suggested we should probably have ice cream at home because it was taking so long. Then we immediately ordered dessert. After another half-hour wait, we went to the cash register to pay. We cancelled our dessert order, so we ended up having ice cream at home. The staff didn't even offer an apology. It was always a nice and good restaurant, but what should have been a pleasant end to our holiday unfortunately turned into a disappointment. They won't be seeing us again. Such a shame...

The food was fine, but the service was poor. We waited a long time for our food, and after receiving our main course, we asked twice where our fries were, and after 10 minutes, they still hadn't arrived. After paying, we realized there was a price difference in the coffee. We ordered regular coffee twice, but were charged two different prices. What a shame!

It was lovely to sit on the terrace and eat while the kids enjoyed the playground. Playground for all ages, great fun! Completely fenced, with a water pump, so dry clothes for the kids were a bonus. Friendly service.

Everything is correct, service and food and drinks

We had another delicious meal at Tante Stoof on Saturday evening with friends. Enjoyed a very well-prepared dinner. Delicious desserts. The service was very good despite the fact that it was busy and full of guests. But it went like a train. Excellent, attentive and friendly service. It remains a top location.

I have always been there with pleasure and have always eaten well. But today (22-6-25) 😡 I will not come back. What a bad afternoon.

A great place to go with kids. The lunch was excellent – ​​the carpaccio sandwich was generously filled and was accompanied by a tasty salad. For the kids there is plenty of fun with a large playground, sandboxes and various play equipment. Definitely recommended!

Although busy, good food and fast service

After a nice walk from Geocaching, we got a cup of coffee here with a nice dessert. The dessert was so delicious! If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back!

Simply good for parents/grandparents with young children

Tante Stoof is a local celebrity, its outdoor restaurant is lovely and set up for parents with kids. It has a huge playground that is fenced off, so kids can play while parents have an actually uninterrupted conversation over what is surprisingly good food. The flammenkuchen are baked in a proper pizza oven and the steak is painstakingly grilled to perfection on a wood grill. This also mention that you should expect an hour wait for your food when it’s busy. The atmosphere inside is less great than outside but it’s cool to see the chef grill your meat or bake your kuchen. The playground has lots of different options for different ages and a big area to play with water and sand so bring an extra set of clothes. It’s so big that there is plenty of space for many kids however as is the Dutch approach to rearing there will be some little bullies that are not sufficiently supervised, so be prepared to parent other peoples kids and perhaps also their parents :p Surprisingly their kids menu was not great, all the options were deep fried and they did not have any simple or healthy options, like a simple pasta of some sort. Which meant we ended up ordering the flammenkunchen for our kids, which was okay but a bit too salty to be honest The lack of healthy options is a dealbreaker for us, no matter how nice the playground I just would not become a regular at a place where I know my kid only has very unhealthy or salty options for dinner — not even when they get the dilapidated pool fixed

Jammer dat de bediening meer met zich zelf bezig is dan aandacht voor de gasten ook erg gastgericht zou de keuken tafel voor tafel de gerechten laten serveren en niet één gerecht en dan na een tijdje weer een gerecht en dat tegelijk met een andere tafel waar het zelfde gebeurde. Helaas zaten we zonder bestek waardoor de gerechten snel koud werden ..dit gebeurde ook bij tafel naast ons. De supplementen die bij de gerechten kwamen zijn voor 2 pax evenveel als voor 4 triest dat je als je bijbesteld dit nog on rekening wordt gebracht.

I ordered a Caesar salad of which you form a certain image when you order it. I was shocked when I received the plate: large chunks of lettuce, thrown onto the plate, an egg thrown on top, two nuts, red onion and a layer of sauce thrown over it, which tasted like liquid mayonnaise to me. The only thing that was tasty was a few pieces of narrow strips of chicken. The taste overall was really not good. Apparently we couldn't discuss this either. I indicated to the waitress that I was not okay with it, she said she would discuss it but I never saw her again. €22.95 for this dish is absolutely not worth it. (I remember this dish was reduced from €27.95 to €22.95 on the menu) this should have been a sign on the wall. Many stars were given for the atmosphere because we met customers who made us laugh a lot. Shame about this experience.

Coffee stop during the Sallandse Heuvelen Tour. Great stay on the terrace. Service still had to get going and they had forgotten to bake or defrost the apple pie. It wasn't really high quality. If you are a resting point during a tour, you know what to expect and respond accordingly. The service was friendly though.

Ate here during our camper visit in the area. Good dinner menu with plenty of choice. Taste was good and even warm vegetables were served. The main course was more than enough, we couldn't finish it so we asked for a doggy bag. The food was neatly packed. And we can enjoy it again. In short, highly recommended.

It was all very long-winded, upon arrival we had to wait for the reserved table and then didn't see anyone again for 30 minutes to ask if we wanted something to drink, let alone serve the menu. Then waited 1.5 hours for the order, which tasted great. Payment is the same, begging for the bill 3 times, then eventually paying yourself instead of waiting another 30 minutes. Quite steep in terms of price, fine in terms of seating, good taste in terms of meal, but in terms of service, the service could use some refinement.

We were unlucky that it was in high season. Terrace was full and it took a long time before we had food. Food was unfortunately cold, but we were compensated for this. Will definitely come back outside the high season.

We spent midweek at the Hellendoorn holiday park. This restaurant is located in the holiday park. Lovely terrace where you can relax. With a large playground next to it. Delicious food. Good service. Highly recommended!

It was very busy and it showed. Had made a reservation but got a table that was completely covered in pancake sugar and drops of syrup on the chairs. After 5 minutes we kindly asked for another table...and got it. The staff does their best to handle the crowds, but all in all you wait just too long for everything. Please note, the rib-eye for surf and turf is a veal rib-eye. Unfortunately it was not mentioned. Furthermore, the children had a great time in the playground and the sun shone brightly. Oh yeah. The card looks creative with enough variation. So go there, but try to avoid the top around 1700-1900.

Ate today, it was very busy on the terrace and there was a party inside. Service and cook couldn't handle it. Ordered at 5pm and only received the main course at 7.30pm, that's not good. On a children's menu, the croquette was still frozen on the inside, just like the herb butter with the main courses. The dishes per person were also served with a long time in between, so the first person had already finished it while the last person did not yet have a plate in front of him. Very unfortunate, a disappointment for us!

We enjoyed a delicious buffet after our team building activity. Only the service occasionally took a little too long.

Fijn terras met leuke speeltuin voor de kinderen. Eten niet spectaculair, maar gewoon goed. Prima biefstuk, alleen de veel te zoute gefrituurde aardappelchips dissoneerde bij het geheel. Het trio van gebakken aardappel, gekookte groente en fijn aangemaakte kool, wortelsalade past beter bij het geheel. Fijne attente bediening.

Very nice and sunny terrace. I think the controls still had to get used to this early in the season. It all went a bit strange. My dish, a meat mix with chicken and ribs, was too large a portion for me at least. there was a certain flavor to the ribs that I didn't appreciate, something that was too much. wax, some kind of seasoning or marinade. My wife's salad was fine. All in all not bad, but not great either. Price/quality is reasonably balanced. Not very expensive but not cheap. Eetcafe/Burgundian menu. I didn't think the takeaway policy to get a snack or fries was in proportion, the times indicated are minimum. You had to give up before. not flexible when I called for fries and snacks, which was disappointing, I went to the village.

We had made a reservation in advance, but when we arrived there was no table available for us. The service left much to be desired, as we only received our drinks after 25 minutes (we had to go to the bar to report this, during that time no one from the service came by with the drinks and the menu). Once a menu choice was made, it turned out that surf and turf was not possible because the ribeye had run out. During the meal no one came by to ask if everything was to your liking. Our second drink again did not arrive… It turned out that there was a party, which meant that the people in the restaurant were not served properly.

It all took a long time, which is certainly not a bad thing, but at the point where you get annoyed about not being on screen anymore, you just throw in the towel and leave the dessert and ask for the bill. And quite pricey.

We komen al jaren (tijdens de vakantie) bij Tante Stoof. Het is jammer om te zien dat het ieder jaar minder wordt. Hele jonge meiden in de bediening die totaal niet aangestuurd worden. Met als resultaat hele slechte bediening (drinken wordt niet uitgeserveerd en te weinig opgenomen en eten niet volledig uitgeserveerd). Normaal was het eten echt nog wel goed, maar vandaag leek het nergens op. Het is dat de speeltuin ideaal is voor kleine kinderen tot 10, maar anders zou ik even doorfietsen. Genoeg andere tentjes in de buurt!

As guests of camper park Hellendoorn, we wanted to have lunch here. We also ate here last year and our dog was also welcome. This time our dog was not welcome, so we had to walk back and forth to bring the dog to the camper. For lunch we had a carpaccio salad with fries (fries were included according to the menu) and a smoked chicken salad, also including fries. The salads were very tasty. With the salads we received 1 small basket of fries and 1 small egg cup of mayo for the two of us. Then, at checkout, an extra fries was charged at €3.45. The service was downright bad.

Service was very good, nice people. Tomato soup was fine, but the steak, schnitzel and potatoes were not tasty and we left it alone.
