Tapmarin Leidse in De Weteringschans

I wish I could get zero stars. It says it is open on Sunday. We went all the way down to the bar and it wasn’t open.

The evening started off pleasantly, but later in the evening, one of the guests was taken outside because he was drinking. One of the other guests wanted to film this, which I didn't find acceptable. As soon as I said something about it, the young man filming got angry, and the guard got angry too. The guard was okay with an unconscious young man being filmed and posted online, and he lashed out at me and a friend of mine. It's not okay to see how they treat guests here.

Always a fun and cozy party here!

I had a really bad experience. I went here for my sister-in-law's birthday. I'm a woman with an Afro, and firstly, the bartender gave me a really nasty look. Secondly, I was harassed by boys who were clearly underage, constantly touching my hair as if that's normal, touching me, and then pretending they didn't do it. For people of color, I definitely do not recommend going here. It's a really unsafe atmosphere.

Nice place to have a drink with friends and even enjoy the music. There is a perfect combination of enjoying a beer and letting loose to the music. Bar staff are friendly and always helpful

Tapmarin Leidse knows exactly how to run a pub: fast service, cozy atmosphere and just that little bit of chaos that completes a great evening. You don't come here for 'a drink', you come here for stories that you have to reconstruct the next day. Love it.

Great pub, nice music (the DJ moves from song to song a little too quickly). Two points of feedback: 1. Paying for dirty toilets is far from hospitable 2. Please stop ringing those bells. Once is funny, but not every chorus. My ears hurt

Not exactly happy with this bar/club. On arrival I went to the toilet for 50 cents, that's just part of it. But only to find out inside that the complete toilet was closed (without any sign or indication) and only the 2 dirty urinals without a wall in between were available (the holes in the walls lead one to expect that these were already there). asking for it back only results in threats of being kicked out. The music is not particularly good, half of the songs were nothing and the songs that were something were always cut off early, sometimes even in the middle of the chorus. The smoke adds little besides eye irritation.

Great tent, but asking money for a really, really dirty toilet is not okay.

There is always a good atmosphere!

Atmosphere inside was good. Security guard outside was not professional. Friends were roughly thrown out for no apparent reason. Consultation after that was no longer possible. That makes it grim and unDutch. Guard also not friendly to us as a group of women. Wouldn't come back again.

Came here on my vacation as tourists, even though the bar was very quiet as we came just as they opened the staff were very friendly and entertaining. Prices are good compared to other places we visit and we’re sure to come back next time :)

If you ever plan to have a drink in this cafe, I recommend that you first do a skin color check. We were literally refused on Sunday evening because we did not meet the requirements. Namely, being white! The man at the door literally says “I only let white people in.” Never thought I would experience this, especially in a city like Amsterdam.

We thought we would go into this pub with a few friends for a few drinks, but to our great surprise we were refused. Only students was the doorman's first reaction. When I showed my digital student card, his next reaction was: we are only allowed to let Dutch people in. We were not “white” enough, because apparently being born and raised in the Netherlands is not a sufficient reason to be admitted. Orders from the boss was the doorman's response, because he was only allowed to let white people in. A Surinamese doorman who refuses other boys with an ethnic background because of the color of his skin, it couldn't get any crazier. It's bizarre that in 2023 we are still dealing with these kinds of racist scenes. Especially in a city like Amsterdam, where diversity and inclusion are highly valued.
