Surely a bit pricy, though I can accept that. However, I have to be very honest, the food kinda disappoints me. The paella looks delicious, yet the actual taste is mediocre and tasteless. The seafood is okay, not particularly standout. It might just not be for me.

What a lovely atmosphere and what incredibly sweet people work there! This is basically how you always want to be served when you go out for dinner. We enjoyed a lovely meal on the terrace in the breeze with a view of the canal. When it got a bit chilly, we were warmly welcomed to finish inside. Absolutely recommended and we will definitely be back!

In all honesty this was close to where we were staying so we said let’s try it. We are so glad we did, it was some of the best food we’ve ever eaten. The food was excellent, drinks/wine list amazing, and the atmosphere couldn’t have been better.

Every dish was heavenly; there wasn't a single thing we didn't like. A must-visit if you're in Amsterdam, and needless to say, we'll be back.

Somewhat secluded from the hustle and bustle. We felt comfortable here as soon as we entered. The service was excellent, and the food was plentiful and delicious. The seafood paella was prepared with a generous amount of seafood, a rare find.

Had a great dinner at Tasca Bellota recently. It really felt like a mini-trip to Spain from start to finish. The paella was definitely the star of the night, packed with fresh seafood and the rice was cooked just right. I also have to mention the drinks. It was their first time trying out a Limoncello Spritz garnish and honestly it looked super professional and creative. Such a cool touch! The pulled meat rolls were a delicious surprise too, and the flan and sorbet were the perfect light end to the meal. The place looks great with lots of cool interior details. I was also really impressed by how clean the restrooms were. They are very stylish with a cool industrial sink and you can tell they really look after the place. The only downside was the seating. I had specifically asked for a window seat when booking but we ended up tucked away in a back corner. It was a bit of a shame, but luckily the food and the friendly staff made up for it. Overall, high quality food and a really nice atmosphere. If the seating goes as requested next time it is an easy 5 stars!

Worth the trek. A little Spanish gem. Delicious tapas, freshly cooked and hot to the table; gambas, bachaleo (sp?) patatas and chicken skewers. Puddings ALL 3 different and delightful - mango sorbet, flan (like a thick vanilla cream) and french toast (lightest slice of bread n butter pud) with divine raspberry sorbet set off by a fab rioja. V friendly and welcoming. Whats not to like?

Come to Tasca Bellota! The weather back and outdoor seating has sunshine starting at 1800. The stuffed peppers with seasoned ground beef are a miracle. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Go here. Amazing paella. Best I've had outside of Spain. All the tapas were superb. The owners are darlings. Affordable. Do not miss this spot. Magic. Back again, this time the star is the Coliflor Crujiente. Cauliflower tossed with panko and chickpea flower and crisp’d, perfect sliced spring onion, smoked Basque cheese… ask for the hot sauce… which is also a home made miracle.

Excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was exquisite (the daily tapa was fried calamari, and the main course was mixed paella). It was my first wedding anniversary with my partner, and I spoke to the cook. When it came time for dessert, she wrote "Happy Anniversary" and added a candle. The service, the food—everything was excellent! Thank you!

Cosy family run restaurant with great authentic Spanish food for a fair price

The seafood items were bit disproportionate with fewer shrimps and prawns than expected in a seafood and prawn paella. Most importantly the dish was overcooked as rice grains were stuck at the bottom and often went hard.

This is our fav restaurant in the neighborhood, we try to come here a couple of times per year with friends and work! The service is so personal and the changing menu always has lots of tasty tapas to try. All time fav is the Catalan dessert, I could eat that every day. Keep up the good work, see you soon!

Perfect place for dinner with friends. The paella was very good, and for tapas we tried the Iberian pork and the octopus with prawns—it was spectacular. But what I liked most was the dessert, the flan. Finally, the staff were very friendly. We hope to return soon.

Literally the best restaurant in Amsterdam! A true hidden gem near the city center, tucked away in the quiet residential area of Prinseneiland. This canal-side restaurant is already a beautiful spot on its own, but when you add how delicious the food is, it becomes absolutely perfect. You can enjoy a wide variety of beautifully crafted tapas or share a gigantic paella with friends and family—and that’s only the beginning of the menu. I especially recommend any tapas with shrimp or calamari. The drinks menu is also excellent, and you absolutely have to try the red sangria! But if you can only eat one thing there, don’t miss the Spanish flan. It’s incredible—soft, rich, and literally melts in your mouth. The staff is impeccable: friendly, attentive, and absolutely adorable. I can’t wait to go back again very soon!

The service is good, atmosphere is good, just the shrimps of paella feel like carrion, my friend and I couldn't eat them, they feel like they've been there for very long time, not frozen or expired, I hope the owner can check the shrimps of the paella.

This restaurant is fantastic, and the people are amazing. A true gem in Amsterdam! I had been to the restaurant before choosing it as the location for a private event. We had almost 40 people, and the restaurant served a delicious buffet style dinner catered to our requests and dietary restrictions. Everyone was raving about how good the food was. We felt so welcomed by everyone working here, and we really loved the cozy vibes. I cannot thank the team enough for making our evening so great. We (and the rest of our group) will certainly be back many times!

Our experience was really something special. Staff consistently went out of their way to make us feel warm, appreciated. welcomed and satisfied. Could not think of a better choice for Spanish meal and homey environment. Vegan paella was beyond words. Out of 8 days in Amsterdam, we only ate here 4 times. it was that special.

Honestly never had such flavourful in 8 years living in Amsterdam. I loved the mushrooms with tempura eggs and the octopus with shrimp. So f** good! We also ordered paella but honestly after those two dishes the paella couldnt stand a chance. Also loved the olives with anchovies sauce 👌

The food is good, not wow. And I find it a bit expensive. And the tapas menu is very limited. I prefer Mama's and Tapas, much better prices, tastier food, and a much wider selection! This was a one-time visit for me, and I won't be back anytime soon!

I found a hair in my paella, the food from others was not cooked properly so that food had to go back to the kitchen and then came back cold, and in addition we had to pay for the toilet

During my week in Amsterdam, we stumbled upon this place almost by accident while looking for paella. My initial expectations weren't very high, but it actually turned out to be very good, especially the aforementioned seafood paella. It was a truly enjoyable dish, perfect for sharing. The person serving us was truly helpful and friendly; she immediately put us at ease. The place has a lovely canal view; I recommend it to anyone in Amsterdam looking for excellent paella.

Incredibly sweet people – very warm and friendly. But the rave reviews surprised me. Some dishes were quite good, but others were disappointing – for example, €20 for a dried piece of catfish tapas. It's fine as a neighborhood restaurant, but I know I won't be back.
