Delicious and tasty dishes. A wonderful hostess who was very accommodating to our group. And a lovely atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised.

This restaurant is fantastic, and the people are amazing. A true gem in Amsterdam! I had been to the restaurant before choosing it as the location for a private event. We had almost 40 people, and the restaurant served a delicious buffet style dinner catered to our requests and dietary restrictions. Everyone was raving about how good the food was. We felt so welcomed by everyone working here, and we really loved the cozy vibes. I cannot thank the team enough for making our evening so great. We (and the rest of our group) will certainly be back many times!

Our experience was really something special. Staff consistently went out of their way to make us feel warm, appreciated. welcomed and satisfied. Could not think of a better choice for Spanish meal and homey environment. Vegan paella was beyond words. Out of 8 days in Amsterdam, we only ate here 4 times. it was that special.

Honestly never had such flavourful in 8 years living in Amsterdam. I loved the mushrooms with tempura eggs and the octopus with shrimp. So f** good! We also ordered paella but honestly after those two dishes the paella couldnt stand a chance. Also loved the olives with anchovies sauce 👌

The food is good, not wow. And I find it a bit expensive. And the tapas menu is very limited. I prefer Mama's and Tapas, much better prices, tastier food, and a much wider selection! This was a one-time visit for me, and I won't be back anytime soon!

I found a hair in my paella, the food from others was not cooked properly so that food had to go back to the kitchen and then came back cold, and in addition we had to pay for the toilet

During my week in Amsterdam, we stumbled upon this place almost by accident while looking for paella. My initial expectations weren't very high, but it actually turned out to be very good, especially the aforementioned seafood paella. It was a truly enjoyable dish, perfect for sharing. The person serving us was truly helpful and friendly; she immediately put us at ease. The place has a lovely canal view; I recommend it to anyone in Amsterdam looking for excellent paella.

Incredibly sweet people – very warm and friendly. But the rave reviews surprised me. Some dishes were quite good, but others were disappointing – for example, €20 for a dried piece of catfish tapas. It's fine as a neighborhood restaurant, but I know I won't be back.

What a party at Tasca Bellota! For our anniversary, I made a small request when I made the reservation... and upon arrival, there were streamers. So thoughtful. The hospitality was warm and genuine, and the hostess in particular made it truly special. And the rabbit and chicken paella? Phenomenal. Perfectly cooked, deep flavors, and then that socarrat... that crispy layer at the bottom of the pan that leaves you speechless. Spain at its best, right here in Amsterdam.

This restaurant constituted such an unexpected surprise! The location is amazing: if you dine outside you have this romantic view of the canals and the tiny harbour out there, with the sky and its shades. On top of this, and very relevant to determine wether a restaurant is worth it, the paella mixta we ordered was just flawless - full of fish, meat, and vegetables and very flavoured. Loved it! The dessert, el flan de Carmina, was the cherry on the cake of our dinner. To complete, the service is informal and very smart, with attention given to clients’ needs. Definitely recommended, definitely will come back!

Beautiful place on the water with great food and generally very friendly staff, but if you refuse to serve tap water to your guests to quench their thirst on a day with 30 degrees of sunshine, you are not right in the head. Especially if you first indicate that you want to "take the best possible care of us" as guests when we arrive, this comes across as extremely hypocritical I have also worked in the hospitality industry for years, and a glass of tap water for a guest who asks for it is one of the most basic forms of hospitality you can offer. When you refuse to do this, I only feel seen as a profit model, and not as a guest. Really scandalous.

Go here. Amazing paella. Best I've had outside of Spain. All the tapas were superb. The owners are darlings. Affordable. Do not miss this spot. Magic. Back again, this time the star is the Coliflor Crujiente. Cauliflower tossed with panko and chickpea flower and crisp’d, perfect sliced spring onion, smoked Basque cheese… ask for the hot sauce… which is also a home made miracle.

We have been here with a party of six. It was a very pleasant evening thanks to the great atmosphere and amazing food. We have tried quite some options of their tapas. All were very tasty. Their desserts deserve a special recognition as well, especially Flan!

celebrated my birthday at Tasca Belotta. The atmosphere was lovely and the location is beautiful, right by the canal with a nice view. The food was overall good — the octopus was delicious and the paella was tasty, although it could be improved. The starter portions were quite small and overpriced in my opinion. The service was slow, as there was only one waitress managing the whole room. Despite that, I enjoyed the experience and I’d go back. The setting makes it a pleasant place for a special occasion or a relaxed evening out.

Had a nice evening at Tasca's. Super friendly help. Nice place too, nice terrace in the summer. But we found the food really disappointing. Way too much sauce with each dish so you couldn't really taste anything. It's a shame because I think it would be much tastier and purer without it!

The place is located slightly outside the normal tourist routes but in my opinion this is an advantage. Just to reach it you cross a very particular part of the city completely different from the Amsterdam you are used to seeing, this different air you can breathe even once you arrive at the place. In fact, the entrance is directly on the canal so arriving at sunset you can enjoy a spectacular view, inside the restaurant is simple but well-kept, the portions are generous and the food is well cooked and of top quality. Absolutely excellent service, attentive and very friendly. Together with my colleague we had a paella mix prepared the moment we entered. Reservation is absolutely necessary and remember that paella must be requested in advance. Absolutely recommended

The food was so good and flavorful. The paella was definitely worth trying and as dessert I would recommend the flan. Don’t even get me started on the sangria it was one of the best I ever had! Definitely would be returning just for food but the service was also exceptional and it is a nice cozy restaurant.

This is the perfect cozy restaurant to have good quality food, delicious drinks (order the home made sangria!!) and great service. We ordered a variety of food from the menu, and everything was amazing. Definitely go for the Paella and don’t skip on dessert!

We made a reservation for 10 people. They were all problems. They ask us to choose the menu well in advance. We send it to them and when 7/10 people have chosen food, they respond that they cancel the reservation because not everyone has ordered food and that what we are looking for is a bar. Very disappointing. And to continue, half of those dishes are not Spanish at all. I don't recommend at all. 0 professionalism

All in all a positive experience. Dishes more on the Spanish-inspired creative/fancy cuisine side. Cozy environment, friendly staff, dishes served at reasonable speed. Most dishes at reasonable price, although one single bread at 7 eur is a bit... Some dishes are prepared too salty, and way too much mayo that makes them feel Dutchified ;)

Really lovely restaurant in a prime spot in Amsterdam. Went to one of their "Arepa Brunch", everything was extremely delicious and will definitely come back. As a Venezuelan, I can definitely recommend it. The Arepa Brunch is only the first Sunday of the month, but the restaurant also serves authentic Spanish food which is also delicious!

Then the food, indescribably delicious, that's all I can say!!! Never had such a delicious Paella before. Full of fish, chicken and rabbit... Then the cocktails...... In one word Wow! Gisteren prima gegeten in dit restaurant. Ik was enthousiast geworden over de vele positieve recenties en wilde het zelf ook graag ervaren. Helaas ben ik wat minder positief. Het bedienend personeel was absoluut erg vriendelijk, de locatie is echt heel leuk. Het eten vonden we prima: niet uitgesproken goed maar zeker ook niet slecht. Helaas vond ik de prijs veel te hoog. We bestelden een bijvoorbeeld fles rode wijn (Pepe Yllera 2021) die goed te drinken was maar om voor een fles die inkoop nog geen € 5,65 kost € 40,00 te vragen vind ik echt te gortig.
