Great restaurant. Good service and delicious food. For 30 euros per person, you get a 3-course menu with soup, various dishes with rice and naan, and dessert.

We sat on the terrace. The food was exquisite. I didn't like the dry white wine very much. I have drunk better wines in a restaurant.

Food decent enough. OK but not super special or impressive.. Had the Garlic tikka and it honestly could've done with a bit of lemon juice and maybe some mint dip or something.. Otherwise it just tasted kind of bland tbh. The food comes in sufficient quantities compared to some other Indian restaurants that give hardly any meat in the curry. Atmosphere isn't so great. too hot inside with no ventilation. a few cheap looking tables outside. The thing that bothers me the most is when you get charged extra for things that are - according to the menu - included in the price. For example Naan bread. I'm from the UK and the Indian restaurants there are far better. Unfortunately in Netherlands they're mostly still not so great and too expensive for what it is.

Good service, nice atmosphere, fairly okay starter & naan but main dishes were very poor. Chicken wasn’t cooked nicely. And curries were lower quality than supermarket curry. Started very well but went south from there. Disappointed at the end.

I indicated twice that I was gluten-free, but still had symptoms after eating it. This is the last time for me.

Probably the best Indian restaurant in Amersfoort that I know of. Great service, delicious food, and a really nice atmosphere. The pricing is also reasonable. Vegetarians options were available. I can’t remember whether he was the manager or the owner, but he was always very attentive and respectful. This review is long overdue — I first visited years ago and have been there quite often!

The food was delicious! They were very busy, which made it seem a bit chaotic, but everything was delicious and well-prepared.

You don't need to rush... (an hour between ordering and the first meal) and it's deliciously "Indian style," so sometimes a bit chaotic, but the food is excellent, so worth the wait! And super friendly service, highly recommended.

The food was really good and deliciously seasoned. It was disappointing, however, that we had to wait over an hour for our meal. The reason: it was so busy, but it was only half full. We also had a reservation (which I could prove), but it didn't come through.

The food was delicious, with typical Indian dishes. It felt like being in India. The Butter Chicken was perfect; the meat was tender and not dry. The service was very welcoming and thoughtful. The atmosphere is very cozy with beautiful, authentic furniture.

Not really an Indian restaurant, but a Pakistani restaurant. I don't understand why all Pakistanis in Europe call their restaurant Indian.

I've been here several times. The food is usually fine, but the last time it was truly awful. The samosa starter was fine. But the onion bahji had no onion and tasted like a flattened doughnut. The chicken thigh from the tandoori oven was unseasoned and almost tasteless. But the worst was the mat paneer. It was 99% peas, topped with flakes of cheese so thinly that it was difficult to tell if it was paneer. We discussed the matter further when we paid. I was told I should have told the waiter about the complaint. But he was so busy that he left halfway through our order to attend to other customers. The order also contained three errors, which were later corrected. A huge disappointment; we don't know if we'll go back.

Op oudjaarsavond is het niet gemakkelijk om een restaurant te vinden dat open is. Gelukkig konden we bij "Taste of India" terecht. We kozen voor een 3 gangenmenu. Mild van smaak, als je graag pittiger wil moet je dat even vermelden.

Sat at a small table near the toilets. Food was ok. When the restaurant became full, the service was lacking.

Unfortunately the chicken was not of good quality and had nothing to do with Tandori Chicken for me. The chicken was on raw onions! The vegetables were in a separate bowl. Cauliflower, peas... the dish cost 21 euros!

I have been coming here for years with great pleasure and love! The food here is delicious, the food is well seasoned and therefore tastes great, and the meat is wonderfully tender!! Every time I'm here I see the girl in the service who compliments her for doing it in a nice way! Definitely go here if you want authentic Indian food, nowhere in Amersfoort as tasty as here!!!

Gewoon lekker gegeten. We zijn voor een driegangenmenu gegaan. Het was niet overdadig veel maar genoeg. Het voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht waren lekker. Het nagerecht (ijs) had ik wel wat meer van verwacht

The food was listed on the menu as spicy. It wasn't spicy. Unfortunately the service was not very friendly. Food and drinks were banged loudly on the table.

Service mediocre. Food seems like everything was prepared in the same curry sauce. The chicken, lamb and potatoes tasted the same. We wanted the menu without soup and without coffee or tea. That was possible, but both the soup and the coffee that we had not ordered were simply charged without consultation. We didn't think that was very nice.

We used to come for the same dishes and have not been there for a while. Something must have changed as the quality and taste of the butter chicken was nor nice. Service was not the best either even if the restaurant was totally empty ( they forgot the rice - which was also not tasty when we got it). Seems like they have used chicken from already made skewers to make the butter chicken. Big disappointment for a very pricy meal. I do not recommend anymore.

Solíamos venir por los mismos platos, pero no lo hemos hecho por un tiempo. El pollo con mantequilla se hizo con pollo viejo (los trozos de carne no eran los mejores). Todo estaba definitivamente recalentado y probablemente varias veces. Tenemos que pedir arroz ya que no se sirvió con el curry. Las abuelas eran buenas. No recomiendo este lugar nunca más. Entendíamos que éramos los únicos clientes

Food was Ok as per desi spices. Price was clearly mentioned that price is for single person, we ordered Deal Thali Royal, which on menu was not clearly written it’s per person price 32.50 euro. Rest food was great.

Aangeland voor een alcohol vrij biertje. trage bediening, maar goed dit is een restaurant en niet primair een terras. Vervolgens wel € 4,75 moeten afrekenen en dat vond ik echt veel te veel geld voor één consumptie. Jammer want nu ga ik ook niet langs om de keuken te proberen.

Superb, never been to India so cannot say anything about authenticity but great food, especially their tandoor dishes.

Very nice place to eat delicious Indian food! We come here once or twice a year, for 15 years! We almost always order the same thing (chicken tikka masala and a mixed grill) and that is always good! Yesterday my husband tried the butter chicken and it was also delicious. If you want to order something else, it will be on the table quickly. Staff changes a lot but they are always nice.

Delicious food, friendly staff who are very flexible! The ambiance of the restaurant is a bit simple, but not disturbing for us because we especially enjoyed the food!

Very good food from traditional Indian cuisine. You can taste that the food is made in a typical tandoori oven. Definitely eat here if you like Indian, and above all, spicy food.

The food all tasted the same even though all 4 of us ordered something different. Furthermore, outdated furnishings and the glasses were placed very hard on the table.

Central location in Amersfoort. An amuse-bouche beforehand. Tasty herbs and vegetables. We had lamb. But unfortunately it was a long roll of meat (slice meat) and it didn't really have the taste of lamb, which is a shame. Furthermore, friendly service.

Das Restaurant ist für die Qualität etwas überteuert, wohl der Lage am Marktplatz wegen. Die Gerichte sind ordentlich scharf, aber nicht besonders abwechslungsreich gewürzt. Kenner und Liebhaber indischer Küche kommen hier nicht auf ihre Kosten.

Erg goed. Bijna tien keer in India geweest, dus ik verwacht wel wat.

The food is good but they added more turmeric in the currys so i personally didn't like it much. The service is not good maybe because of less staff. Also we the service person forgot our order item. There is no air conditioner or fan inside the restaurant and it's too warm to sit inside. The babyseat is not even clean and how do they think we are going to let our baby sit in that dirty seat.

Food was delicious, but the waitress was awful. She was not service minded and couldn't nearly smile. It was if everything was too much for her. We didn't feel very welcome there. A pity for such a good looking restaurant and delicious food.

Eten heerlijk, bediening wat slordig, prijs prima

We waren op vrijdagavond om 6 uur. Erg rustig, de verlichting had beter gekund en 1 van de serveersters keek een beetje chagrijnig. Maar al met al..Het eten altijd wel lekker! Spinazie curry is erg goed (vind ik) met knoflook naanbrood. (Had iets meer bij gemogen) heerlijk!!!

Heerlijk gegeten. Fijn restaurant met heerlijk indiaas eten. Iedereen die ik meeneem vindt dat ook. Vriendelijk en redelijk betaalbaar.

Quite a nice little Indian Restaurant in Amersfoort. the food is okay, nothing spectacular, just standard Indian food. Service is good, Menus are also in English (which is good 😉) Staff also speak quite good English. They sell the usual 'Indian Restaurant' Beer e.g. Kingfisher, but they also sell Hoegarden 👍 Price is reasonable

Lekker eten, vriendelijk personeel! We hadden lam tikka massala en garnalen met tomaat, beiden goed bereid, smaakvol en prima portie grootte. Het bloemkool (bhaji) bijgerecht was wat aan de pittige kant. Rijst en naan heel lekker.

Na een drankje in een café hebben we spontaan besloten om Iniaas te eten. Soms kun je daar ineens zo'n zin in hebben.Bij de Taste of India waren we nog nooit geweest dus daar maar naar toe gegaan. De ontvangst was een beetje stug, maar verder oké. Je krijgt wat lekkers op tafel en daarna de menukaart bestuderen. We hebben gekozen voor voorgerechtjes (kip tikka en gekruid lamsgehakt) hoofdgerecht (gegrild lamsvlees en een extra heet, ik hou ervan, lamsvleesgerecgt en een bijgerecht( groente in curry). Alles was goed van smaak en de geserveerde basmatirijst erbij was ook heerlijk. Je kunt er goed eten en de prijzen zijn nog betaalbaar. Hoofdgerecht rond de 18 euro en voorgerecht en bijgerecht 7 a 8 euro. Wij waren er op een zondagavond en het was niet heel druk, dus reserveren is missch6niet nodig. Alles werd vlot geserveer, zodat je eigenlijk vrij snel klaar bent. Voor dit keer was dat prima, maar voor een echt avondje uit eten zou je kunnen vragen om wat tijd tussen de gangen. Wij gaan hier vast nog wel weer eens eten om zo ook andere gerechten te proberen. Indiaas eten blijft genieten.

Zeer matige kwaliteit, kleine porties en totaal niet verfijnd. Vriendelijke bediening, maar zeker geen value for money.

Het eten was echt heerlijk, de bediening was alleen niet zo snel, maar dat kwam omdat ze maar met z'n tweeën waren. Gelukkig was dit niet heel storend.

We hebben hier erg lekker gegeten. Vooral de verzameling vegetarische gerechten is erg goed bevallen. Bij de mixed grill met garnalen zat welgeteld 1 garnaal. Dat is wel een beetje karig, maar verder was het erg lekker. Bij een dessert met exotische vruchten denk je niet meteen aan plakjes banaan en ananas uit blik, maar verder was het op zich prima. De bediening en service was vriendelijk en snel. Kleine tip voor de eigenaar: pas de prijzen van de dranken kaart op de site aan. Hier staan echt belachelijke prijzen op die totaal niet overeen komen met wat er werkelijk op de kaart staat.

Het was ijskoud in het restaurant, de thermostaat gaf 16 graden aan, mensen zaten met hun winterjas aan en er gingen zelfs mensen weg vanwege de kou. 3 gerechten met kipfilet besteld, de smaak was goed, maar er zat veel vet en zelfs een botje in de kip. Ik vind dat de kipfilet mals en zonder vet hoort te zijn. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

We waren bijna € 80 euro kwijt. Voor bizar kleine porties. We hadden ook een mixed grill besteld voor bijna €20 euro. Er zat jawel 1 garnaal in. De naan was erg droog en dun. De smaken waren over het algemeen wel oké.

Het gerecht wat ik had nr 21 was erg lekker, milde romige saus met kip. De rijst ziet er ook smakelijk uit met verschillende kleuren. Wat ik jammer vind, wel een echte minpunt, voor dit bedrag mag er best wel wat salade bij, want er zat totaal geen groenten bij. Dat vond ik vreemd. Als ik vergelijk met andere restaurants.

Goed op smaak. Lekker buiten gezeten en genoten van de gerechten. Mate van vriendelijkheid bediening hangt af van serveerster/ober, maar men is zeker behulpzaam.

Prima gegeten, het eten is lekker en niet duur. Personeel deed zijn best. Een puntje van kritiek: de nep bloemen op tafel hebben echt hun beste tijd gehad. Ze zijn stoffig en vaal en niet iets wat je graag naast je bord wilt hebben. Tijd voor de vuilnisbak.

Centraal gelegen restaurant. We hebben er 03-06-2022 heerlijk gegeten. De bediening was vriendelijk, af en toe een beetje stug, maar ach het eten was prima. Voor ons was het een prima "Taste of India". De gerechten waren spicy maar niet te, de kruiden smaakten "oosters" en het vlees totaal niet gemist in deze smaakvolle vegetarische schotels. De rijst was lekker gekookt en goed gekruid, het dessert een kers op het bezoek. Prima gedaan.

Good service nice food worth a visit. Cobra and kingfisher beers 🍻 we had chicken jalfrezi, lamb rogan josh and a tarka dal with rice and nan. It's a really delicious meal spicy and hot but just enough I indan I've had in years 🙃 😅

Restaurant was overvol. Personeel kon het niet aan. Was 3 drankjes verder voor ik überhaupt mijn voorafje had. Maaltijd was ok doch heeft voor mij geen reden dit weer te herhalen.

Eten was prima! Lekker. Alleen wel even opletten ze hebben hier geen allergenen kaart! Dit was voor ons even navragen hoe alles zat.

Best lekker gegeten, maar de bediening had er duidelijk geen zin in. En alles werd geserveerd alsof het een shoarmatent was i.p.v. een restaurant. Met als dieptepunt het dessert dat bestond uit een paar stukjes keihard bevroren ijs die in een schaaltje gekwakt waren. Jammer....

Afgelopen zaterdag hier heerlijk gegeten, de bediening zou iets vriendelijker mogen maar dat doet niets af aan het eten. Beslist een aanrader.
