There are some very negative reviews. We don't recognize that. Great place for a bite to eat and a drink. The staff is friendly and helpful, despite being very young.

Friendly service, unfortunately we found the coffee a bit less (a bit on the weak side), beer on tap was tasty, and we also got some nuts with it, which is always nice.

Sadly, it's been lost to tourism. From a nice place with atmosphere (dark interior, red-checked tablecloths) and decent food, it's now a bare, mass-tourism joint with staff who look at you in surprise if you don't order through a kiosk, and mediocre food (waffles are ready-made, just briefly warmed up). And the icing on the cake: your ears bleed outside from the après-ski yodel music played at too high a volume. Such a shame!

Nice place, but the music is awful. Instead of enjoying the scenery in peace, they're blasting some awful après-ski-esque tune through the speakers. The toilet costs a euro each time. Ridiculous if you have children who take turns deciding where to pee.🥲 If you want to enjoy a drink in peace, I'd suggest moving on to another spot.

We had a delicious pie and coffee on the terrace. The service was very friendly.

Went here with our three little boys (5, 4, and 2) and ordered coffee for the grown-ups — you know, the stuff you actually sell. While the kids were happily playing, we had their water bottles on the table (because, shocking twist, children need water). Then the waiter marched over, first making sure I could understand him (German? Dutch? English?) before informing me that outside water bottles are apparently a one-way ticket to their bankruptcy. If “everyone” dared to bring water for their kids, they'd all be unemployed by Tuesday. Funny thing: looked around and saw plenty of other families with baby bottles and sippy cups… but I guess I won the “randomly selected for enforcement” lottery. Maybe I have the kind of face that screams “threat to the coffee industry”? So, if you're thinking of coming here with kids — better prepare to caffeinate them, because water is clearly a gateway beverage to economic collapse. We ordered two hot chocolates with whipped cream. Firstly, it took quite a while for our order to be taken. Furthermore, the chocolate milk was watery and really not tasty. When I pointed this out to the bill, instead of something being taken off the bill or something else being offered, I was charged €10.40 and thanked for letting us know. Very disappointing.

We came here to eat, first we had to wait almost 10 minutes for someone to come while there were almost no people in the restaurant. Then we asked for the menu and it didn't come twice, eventually we got it ourselves. We just stood there talking and laughing with 5 men behind the bar. Eventually we wanted to pay at the bar (without eating) and then they all walked away. Definitely not recommended to come here!

Today we went to the three-country point with a group and thought we could have a bite to eat here. At first we waited 10 minutes before our drinks were asked for. Then we asked for the menu and we didn't get it. We asked twice. Eventually one of us took the menu himself. I think we sat there for about half an hour to 45 minutes and didn't get served during that time. So I can't say anything about the food because we never had it. I wouldn't go there.

Unfriendly staff, waited 10+ minutes before anyone even came. Asked for the food cards but never got them. Even with the bill they looked around stupidly and didn't come. And the manager himself stood there like a headless chicken. Finally went to De Bokkerijder where they are friendly!!

On the general website the square with catering seems very extensive. In the end it is actually very simple. Order yourself and then pick up. Quite expensive (toasted sandwich 7.50!!!). For a drink at the playground it is okay, but otherwise it is disappointing.

The toilet is clean. But you have to pay 1 euro every time. Very expensive. The food tastes okay and the price is not very high. The tea is expensive. It would be better to be able to order all types of food and drinks in one place.

Enjoyed refreshing drinks on the sun-drenched terrace. I believe there is paid parking there, but we could park the car elsewhere. Friendly service and water was available for our dog.

Management runs around like a headless chicken. Lasts a long time. Served table by table, no combinations are made. No eye for empty glasses. Food is ok and gets the 3rd star. Checkout takes a long time. The cash register, bar and service cannot handle the flow of tourists because the structure and organization are lacking.

Prices are okay, taste is nothing special, we wanted to warm up a bit here as it is still cold outside at the start of spring. However, the doors are always open here and it is just as cold as outside. So it is only recommended if there is heating or the doors are closed...

TOURIST TRAP! Waited over 20 minutes for service eventhough the place was almost empty. Never got any menu, 2 beers for €10 is just insane! ------ BEWARE! After waiting 20 minutes for service, we were not given a menu. Finally ordered 2 beers and had to pay almost 10 euros for it! Absurd.

I love the decor in this place! Really quirky yet comfortable. Nice beer and pleasant service too.

Very tasty highest tea, hostess made us feel welcome and explained all the dishes patiently and with passion. Delicious food, plenty of it and delicious teas and coffees in a beautiful interior with a real fireplace and look at the antique heating. Picture was extremely complete, thank you for this great experience!

We had dinner here during the 3 countries walk, very tasty, nice staff, but pricey.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Stylish and old fashioned design which you will appreciate a lot. For a moment, I had this idea that the place had seen the WWII but one of staff corrected me with a kind laugh and told me the design dates back to the 90s. So go there and enjoy everything!

They immediately encountered the menu, either in Dutch or in French, and began to ask the waiter something. We ordered a soup (to be non-vegan) and a kind of thin flamé pizza... The soup turned out to be ordinary peas with sausage in a beer mug))) but very tasty, just like the pizza. The institution is located in an old barn, where there are many artifacts of local residents, photos, documents and furniture, etc. A lot of people around, semi-darkness and strange language around)) And despite the +10 on the street lightly dressed children... It's a strange feeling... But we ate, met and drove on. This is a different culture, probably we are not used to it yet...

The table was not clean, after asking for a cloth it was wiped. The toasties were warmed up in the microwave. Cheese sandwich was bland. We were only helped after raising our hands. This with everything...

Nice place to grab a coffee and some snacks after visiting the famous Drielandenpunt. Perfect spot for family outdoor hike. I visited on Sunday and it got crowded in the afternoon. So if you wish to have a chiller environment with less people then you can come in the morning. I had a thin crust spek cheese flammekuchen. Good cheese, good size in the afternoon but slightly expensive to my point of view. Overall still worth a visit.

Nice place to sit on the terrace and have a drink. The terrace is located directly on the "highest playground in the Netherlands". A big advantage is that the playground only has 1 entrance and exit, so you can keep a close eye on the children. Staff is friendly and neatly dressed. You can order at the counter and you can pick it up at a counter further. There are also free toilets (inside) and a counter for fries and snacks.

I read some mixed reviews, but it was a nice restaurant. It's dog friendly, they have water for your dog and they gave us some candy for our dog. You have to order via a qr code and this doesn't always work (it did for us). The food was just fine. I had a cheeseburger with fries and I really enjoyed them. The toilets were clean as well. Overall just a nice restaurant but won't blow your socks away.

Let's start positively, the food, 2 croquettes, fries and lettuce, were really tasty. The mustard too. But it took a very long time for just that +35 minutes. The 1st does not have to do with the service, but more with planning and perhaps the (sub)staffing/planning in the kitchen. And A LOT was sold out.

In principle it was all quite reasonable, but way too expensive. In any case, the whole three-country point is a tourist trap.

Pleasant local, good selection of food. Of course the prices are a bit high due to the tourist environment, but still recommended.

A disappointment. Had a drink here on the terrace, wanted to eat something but decided against it. The waiter quickly came to us with two menus and threw them on the table. That's where things went wrong. Said we wanted something to drink. Ordered an orange and a coke zero. It wasn't busy, no one inside and a few on the terrace. After ten full minutes we asked the best man if everything was still going well, we got a questioning tone in return, but it turned out that he had forgotten us. Fortunately, a colleague brought our drinks again after five minutes. As said; We wanted to eat something, but he was able to put it in his.... By the way, the drinks were reasonably priced, but this was a one-off expense.

Totally overpriced food and poor quality. Eating out is definitely not worth it. The playground is great!

Had a lovely meal and a good laugh here this afternoon. Good service, friendly and up for a joke. If we are in the three-country point again, we will definitely visit again. Keep it up.

The tavern is located directly on the border stone (hence the name) of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. We visited the place at the weekend and ate in the tavern beforehand. I can recommend the apple strudel to everyone. As someone who grew up on the Austrian border... This was the best outside of Austria! Go for it!

Koffie is niet te drinken zo genaamd koffie machine kapot duuren koffie voor 2,90 echt niet te zuipen als toerist in eigen land zo wordt behandeld

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food and drinks about this place. We were not served. They didn't feel like having a group of 12 people. Terrace half empty, no one at the table inside. I didn't understand a word of it. The three-country point is nice to see.

Staff doesn't pay attention. You can wave for a long time before they look around and see you. We received an incomplete order and only 4 sets of cutlery even though we were 8 people.

I really liked it. Fast service and everything is very tasty. I recommend coffee with a special additive, apple pie and anything else you want. Beautiful interior.

Na een wandeling is het prima vertoeven in Taverne de Grenssteen. Goed eten en vriendelijke bediening. Leuke inrichting!

wij werden heel aardig ontvangen en hebben een frisdrank en een belgisch bier besteld. Verder hebben wij bitterballen en brood erbij besteld. alles was goed tot wij de rekening kregen. Voor het brood dat wij erbij werd 11euro geteld. Dit is dge laatste keer geweest dat wij hierwaren. jammer maar zij gaan te ver met hun prijzen.

Mijn man en ik hadden beiden de duitse flammkuchen, welke een originele drielandenpunt specialiteit was. Wij vonden hem allebei erg goed en prima belegd met crème fraiche, ui, champignons, houthakkerskaas uit Beieren (je moet wel van sterke kaas houden) spek en rucola. Erbij hadden we cappuccino en een kan water met vlierbloesem mint en citroen. Lekker fris op zo'n warme dag. Service was goed.

Met een grote groep hier vandaag gegeten. Eten was gevarieerd qua smaak. De hamburger was heerlijk en ruim voldoende. Het zuurvlees was wat minder van smaak. De menukaart is niet heel uitgebreid. Bediening is heel vriendelijk en snel. Sfeer is gezellig. Prijzen zijn wat aan de hoge kant. Al met al wel een aanrader.

Hier een kopje koffie gedronken. Deze was slap. Erg jammer voor de prijs van € 2,95. We hebben op het terras gezeten dat erg ruim is en schaduw plekken heeft. De medewerker was correct maar niet vriendelijk. Een andere medewerker stuurde een groep kinderen weg. Voor het toilet bezoeken moesten deze kinderen maar naar de 'buren' gaan. Niet erg netjes.

Wij hadden hier een gezellige lunch. Bediening was heel vriendelijk, eten van goede kwaliteit en ruime porties. Leuk gedecoreerd! Wij komen zeker terug.

Köstliches Bier im großen Gastgarten am Dreiländerpunkt

Prima plekje om even tot rust te komen tijdens de wandeling. Lunch ok maar ook niets bijzonders. 1iemand in de bediening is wel zeer weinig

Heerlijk gegeten bij dit restaurantje. Vriendelijk personeel. Schone toiletten. Goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

Cappuchino was lekker. Bourgondische bitterballen ook. Appeltaart zag er heel veelbelovend uit met nootjes en abrikoos bovenop. Smaak viel tegen, erg waterig en te koud van binnen. Ik vermoed uit de diepvries. Het interieur is sfeervol en het was er gezellig druk. Toiletten fris en schoon.

De flammkuche was een soort natte lap met veel teveel creme fraiche en mozarella. Jammer! Bediening was verder prima.

Van binnen een echte taverne, van buiten lijkt het meer op een skilift station... schijn bedriegt. Vriendelijk personeel, enigszins onderbezet. Heerlijke bospaddenstoelen soep, Caesar salade en kids American pancakes. Zeer groot aanbod aan taartjes en vlaaien (niet geproefd). Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding!

Wir haben ein Ausflug zum Dreiländerpunkt in Holland gemacht und hatten Lust auf ein Stück Kuchen. Dabei ist uns das Restaurant Taverne de Grenssteen positiv aufgefallen. Man konnte Tagesmenü an Kuchen auswählen oder, das, was auf der Speisekarte steht. Wir sind reingekommen und es war direkt eine tolle Atmosphäre, die Kellner konnten super deutsch sprechen und hatten immer ein Witz parat. Die Speisekarte ist auf Englisch aber verständlich ansonsten wird auch gerne weitergeholfen. Andere Gäste hatten auch Mittagessen bestellt das sah auch super lecker aus, nächstes mal probieren wir das auch aus;) Gegenüber befindet sich ein schöner Spielplatz für die Kinder die nicht lange im Restaurant verweilen möchten. Wir hatten folgendes bestellt: -Apfelkuchen (ohne Rosinen) u. Sahne -Apfelstrudel mit Vanilleeis, Vanillesoße u. Sahne -Wobbly Chocolat (siehe letze Bilder) Tipp des Tages: -Probiert unbedingt Wobbly Chocolat wir haben selten so ein leckeren Kakao getrunken, das lohnt sich wirklich!!!!!!! -Parkplätze vor Ort versucht außerhalb der Schranken zu parken da ist es tatsächlich kostenlos;)

Met zes een gezellige highest tea gedaan. Veel soorten tea en koffie zitten bij de prijs in. De warme chocolade met mini-marshmallows (Wobly) is een aanrader! Verder waren de kleine gerechten smakelijk en ruim voldoende. Prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is prima.

Bij het binnen komen werden we geholpen, aangenaam personeel. Wij hadden ook een vriendelijke serveerder. Niets aan te merken op het personeel. Eten was lekker. Natuurlijk is het op deze plek wat aan de duurdere kant, maar wij vonden het de moeite. Mogelijkheid tot bestellen en betalen via QR-code, maar de serveerder kwam ons vanzelf bevragen.

Uitstekend verzorgd, het is er netjes en schoon. Kleine kaart. Frieten waren heerlijk en ook de eigen gemaakte kroketten waren heel, heel, heel lekker. Heel vriendelijk personeel met gevoel voor humor. Bezoekje waard.

Ich kann die vielen eher schlechten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Bedienung war super freundlich und alles lief flott ab. Obwohl an einem touristischen Ort gelegen, war unser Essen sehr lecker. Gerne kommen wir wieder

Oudere serveerster erg onvriendelijk. Kon nog geen goedendag van af. Prijzen zijn abnormaal hoog. 3 Euro voor een glaasje water. Eten is ook niet te betalen. We zijn na het drinken weer vertrokken.

Restaurant right next to the maze enterance and during a sunny day offers a real good place to sit under the sun and enjoy the food and drinks. A few vegetarian food options including a kids menu. Staff was polite and food was served quick. For the price of the food, the quantity was less however it was tasty. Visited twice and both times found the Restaurant under the sun was almost full.

Wo sind die Pannenkoeken hin? Das war der Grund für die Besuche. Wir haben immer die langen Wartezeiten und etwas Chaos in Kauf genommen. Pan Cakes? Pannenkoeken gehören nach Zuid-Limburg!

Waren NET te laat, gingen sluiten paar.minuten voor 5, maar weet uit eerdere bezoeken dat hier heerlijk gegeten kan worden of even een koffiepauze genomen kan worden. 😊

Not very impressive from the outside, but inside is pretty cute with a cute fireplace. Overall wide range of selection on the menu. Waitress prepared a 12-uurtje (soup, bread and kroket) which was not on the menu, so a 4 star instead of 3 :)

Prima plek om een biertje te drinken en hapje te eten tijdens een wandeling. Bestellen kan via een QR code wat prima werkt. Het eten is op dit soort plekken natuurlijk geen culinair hoogstandje maar wel gewoon prima. De prijzen van het eten zijn beetje aan de hoge kant voor wat je krijgt.

Not too polite staff. Part of the coffee was spilled out of the cup. I asked for a new cup, but they just washed it. Paying option with an app does not work, but the idea is good. Some part of the staff walks around and does unimportant stuff instead of helping costumers.
