The poffertjes were abysmal only the tea was decent, vibes were off Edit in response to question: They tasted quite stale and like they were thrown into a microwave from a shelf stable package. The fact that it’s a kids’ meal doesn’t mean that it should taste that bad.

Reasonable red wine for €6 per glass, nice terrace under the Brandaris with heating

Very friendly service and delicious food. Our only complaint was the price of the catch of the day. It was our mistake not to ask, but you'd expect the price to be in line with the menu, which unfortunately wasn't the case.

Great place, but if your kids are standing next to you with an ice cream from across the street, you are sent away even though you ordered a drink from them.

What a wonderful experience! The oysters were perfectly fresh, the mussels and the trio of seafood dishes were superbly prepared. And then the dessert – the mango tiramisu – was truly the icing on the cake. The atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic, with a warm and relaxed ambiance. The service was friendly, professional, and attentive – just as it should be. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Restaurant Flaman to anyone who enjoys good food and a great night out!

The dinner itself tasted okay, but a pork tenderloin of just under 100 grams with between 30 and 40 grams of "seasonal vegetables" for about 25 euros is quite a bit of shrink-flation. Next time I'll go back to Storm or the Witches' Cauldron or something similar.

We ordered mussels and the fish of the day. This was served for 5 people with one large portion of fries, only two sauces, and nothing on the side. Then the fish of the day cost 32.50, which was very expensive and the quality left much to be desired. We missed the vegetables. When we mentioned this, a small bowl with a few carrot/legume pieces arrived just after we had finished eating. There were other points that made us less enthusiastic. It's a shame, Flaman was our favorite restaurant on the island.

Ate delicious mussels. We had made a reservation and that was necessary, because the weather was nice and everything outside was full.

Great lunch. The carpaccio and tomato soup look good and are tasty. Friendly service. The terrace is nice and has a nice location (in the sun).

Very bad service. For an extra cup of mayonnaise you have to pay extra without them saying so. For 2 half pieces of baguette you have to pay extra (1.75) on a bill of 170 euros. Comment from the owner was that it was like that and we should be happy that the ice cubes were not charged.... in short... we will never come back and neither will our friends while they would have received a 10% tip otherwise. In short... balls place. Don't go there

Nice terrace and great food. Very nice spontaneous staff.

The food and atmosphere were good. However, the service was not well coordinated and we had to watch for 20 minutes as they pointed out to each other that we still needed help. My dessert was also forgotten because the staff was already busy cleaning up.

I was here for dinner with my wife. She had fish curry and I had mussels. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The ambiance is also very nice.

A lovely afternoon on the terrace with tea at the foot of the lighthouse. Later, I ordered the Vis van het moment and ate very well. The service was very friendly and attentive.

you come in, sit down and order like a normal person, fine, everything goes well. Then the food takes more than an hour and is brought by another waitress. Then you get more fries with the burgers than with the pork tenderloin. so ask why there are so many fries with the burgers and only a little with the pork tenderloin. Then you get the answer that this is even for 2 people, to which we respond that this is out of proportion. whereupon the waitress says if you want fries, go to a snack bar, they have plenty of fries. I don't think this is normal and I certainly wouldn't eat here a second time purely because of how the waitress treated the customers

We always walk the Fjoertoer and like to come. Whether it is for a beachcomber with bitterballen or a lunch. Despite the crowds, the staff is always very friendly.

We like coming here. You can often sit on the terrace in the sun, the carpaccio sandwich is very tasty and the staff is very friendly. The round steak with red wine sauce is also recommended.

Flaman, under the foot of the Brandaris, is always a great place for (in our case) lunch. It is cozy and the service is very friendly and attentive.

Say they are full. They just don't want a dog inside but don't say so. In response to the response...we were not there for dinner but for a snack at half past three. I went inside and it was NOT full.

The line-caught sea bass was delicious. We didn't have to wait long despite the crowds. The desserts were also very tasty. What pushed it over the line to 5 stars was certainly the service, very nice employees.

Beautiful and attractively decorated restaurant. Excellent food.

We came especially for the scallops, my wife and I are fans, and they were so tasty! There was a soft cream of cauliflower and hazelnut, and a few sprigs of samphire. I then ate the pork tenderloin, which was still a little pink on the inside, with a fine, creamy pepper sauce. To finish I had a crème brulee, coffee and whisky. The service was pleasant. Highly recommended!

Nice restaurant. Nice atmosphere. We had fish soup and burrata caprese beforehand. Fish soup tasty and generously filled with fish. Nice bread too. The burrata was very cold which did not improve the taste. Then fish trio (slip sole, sea bass, prawn) and mussels. Add a bowl of fries (those weird ones with a dent in them, why?). Fish trio was very tasty. Mussels also well cooked but we had doubts about the quantity; this was not a kilo of mussels. For desserts a double portion of espresso and a vanilla ice cream coupe with cranberry. The latter was almost a meal in itself, but very tasty. The pace of the service was good. Maybe a little too good… All in all: a good meal and a pleasant evening with a few criticisms.

We come back here every year, cozy tent and always delicious food excellent wine. We ate mussels with our children last week. Absolutely great and very friendly service. Recommended

Made a reservation prior to our visit. We were nicely received upon arrival and guided to our table by a friendly employee who also immediately thought about the entertainment for our youngest daughter. Attentive, considerate, thoughtful. Compliments. The lobster is highly recommended! The rest of the family also had a delicious meal. In short, good staff and delicious food!

I correct my previous adventure! Now the best mussels outside of Bruges! Attentive staff and also excellent escargots that did not go well! The lunch the week before with shrimp croquettes was sublime… Overbearing! Arrogant! Escargots that are not for entertainment! Facilitated by the staff with high cynicism! After repeatedly asking not to get out of the shell!arrogant response!! Never never never come here again! What a predilection!!! Operation severely below standard! Nap that's great! This is tough under “east wind!”

Too bad, such a first visit to this restaurant... the hamburger I ordered was raw on the inside. The air conditioning was on and blew the cold air directly towards our table. We asked if he could go out...well that was okay but this didn't happen. Service also poor, we were not asked if everything tasted good, then we could have returned the raw hamburger and now lost a lot of money for a lot of annoyance. No, unfortunately we won't be coming again!!

Nice place, very nice friendly service, excellent price-quality ratio, tuna for lunch with sourdough bread and lots of raw vegetables. Huge amount of tuna, well prepared. These people know what a person needs. And just as you would like it. Excellent!!!!

Places without oat cappuccinos, they still exist. Old school, but inconvenient with cow's milk allergy. In 2024, not serving plant-based options is old-fashioned and inhospitable. Still three stars, because of the excellent, hospitable and friendly service.

After wandering around Terschelling for three days and sniffing the salty air, a friend and I had an irresistible urge to eat mussels. The search started across the island, because mussels are not yet in season. After a grueling search, we found a sign at the beautiful Brandaris with the inscription: fresh mussels, classic and Thai.  Our prayers had been heard, here our quest for these shellfish would be fulfilled. We entered the Flaman restaurant in good spirits. The menu once again confirms that they sell mussels here. The waitress comes to our table to take our order and we order mussels with great enthusiasm. Then comes the disappointment, there are only 8 portions of mussels left. Fortunately, we are 2 people and not big eaters, so 1 portion per person seems enough to us. At this point all logic around us seems to disappear, the mussels must be saved for the evening. Economically a bad choice, why keep something if you can sell it with certainty? Why disappoint customers if the products are in stock? And 8-2 is 6 so there are still 6 portions left for the evening. However, Restaurant Flaman continues to bravely resist our logic and unfortunately for us, this is where our great quest for fresh mussels ends. Because these mussels are for dubious reasons intended for evening people, and not for simple afternoon people. With our heads hanging we leave the establishment and walk past that great temptress, the sign with the text: fresh mussels, classic and Thai, the temptress who deceived us and left us feeling hungry. One day we will return to join the evening crowd, those who have the privilege to eat these mussels, those who are worthy to eat these mussels. But not us, we go to the fish stall and enjoy a bickering hoping for the return of logic in this world.

Had both lunch and dinner at Flaman. Enjoyed it both times. Friendly staff, fast, professional. 3 courses. Food (mussels, steak, pork tenderloin) fine. Desserts excellent. Special mention for the creme brulee. Price also good, certainly not too expensive. Point for improvement: use real gin 0.0 with virgen gin and tonic instead of a pre-mixed drink.

The worst steak ever eaten A dry shoe sole cut in 6 places., As an apology, free coffee or tea, of course, declined that gesture. The tender Scottish steak was of course on the bill!!!!!!. Because he's just a tourist But they are just wrong about that. Dear guests of beautiful Terschelling, think carefully before you make a reservation here.

We had a delicious meal at this restaurant several times during our holiday on Terschelling. The food is fine, enough choice. There is currently an asparagus menu with 3 courses. Good quality and for a good price. The service is correct and friendly. In short, highly recommended!

Food is ok, but nothing special. Service in the restaurant is friendly, but the kitchen is not prepared to make a simple pasta for a child.

Dishes are quite expensive and not really special. Avocado burger came from the freezer.

Ordered a hamburger with fries for 17,50, the fries were great but the burger tasted like it came from Jumbo.

Little food, poor price-quality ratio, much too expensive for food that is cold and not very tasty. 45 euros for a fairly small lobster with little meat. Called a month in advance on purpose because I wanted to eat there on my birthday and therefore with a fireworks candle, which was possible, but was not passed on to colleagues. I won't go there again for dinner, lunch always had a good experience, but this... one of the most expensive restaurants on the island that I often hear good things about, doesn't get any points from me.
