We are in the area and decided to try Thai 88 . The Thai dishes here are absolutely delicious! Cooked by the chef-owner, each dish tastes just like the authentic flavors I remember from my time in Thailand. Truly homemade, full of flavor, and genuinely authentic—this place is a gem for Thai food lovers!

Perfect for Thai takeaway, the pad see ew is highly recommended. I will definitely eat here again. The price quality is really great and you really get enough (we even have leftovers for tomorrow).

The best Thai of Utrecht and surroundings! We live nearby and come here often, both for takeaway or to have a quick bite inside. Food is always fresh, very well prepared and fairly priced. Owners and staff are very kind!

We are frequent "Thailand-goers" and have been looking for a good Thai restaurant/take away in the Utrecht region for a long time. We have tried many in the entire region. When I read the very positive reviews of Tai88, I became somewhat suspicious but also curious. We ordered four different dishes and I am happy to say that this is indeed the best Thai cuisine in the region. Each and every one perfect in taste and composition. The beef is also really soft and fine in structure. The highlight for us is the fish in pepper sauce. This will definitely be our regular Take Away. I am happy to drive from Houten to Utrecht for that. Definitely recommended.

Discovered by chance in mid-January 2025 and I can say, what great service and super tasty meals (including Pad Thai and Masaman). On a scale of 1-10 from me, a big 9.

Best Pad Thai in the Netherlands I will say ‼️ Many restaurants nowadays often cook too much salty or sweet, but at Thai 88 they make it neutral and tasty like a real Thai tastes. Other dishes are also tasty.. I will definitely order often 😍

A few weeks ago I ordered and picked up something from Thai88 (with chicken and rice) for the first time, it was delicious. Yesterday I ate the monthly menu with noodles, also very tasty. Easy to order, everything was ready on time.

Omgggg it's my birthday today and I just had to order my bday meal at your place. Tom Kha Kai and Massaman curry, my favorites. But the way you make it, it tastes absolutely amazing, and the extras that came with it made it even better!!

Located around the corner and now come there weekly. The soup is great, pad thai like in Thailand and the extra side dishes are also generous. Great tent and better than the others in the center. We are fans and keep coming. The only thing that would give it 6 stars is if they sold mango sticky rice ;)

Very good food! Thai 88 is that one Thai restaurant that keeps you coming back. Delicious authentic Thai dishes, made by Thai people - and you can taste it! The staff is very friendly and always easy to chat with. The prices are reasonable, and the quantity is always more than sufficient! I always have some left over for the next day. Recommended!

The flag along the street drew our attention to this small Thai eatery. The shrimp are delicious, served with fresh, gritty vegetables such as broccoli, peppers, bell peppers and carrots. Well-filled fried rice. Cola large can of 330 ml. We will definitely come here again on our next visit to Utrecht.

Ordered a cashew chicken and a noodle dish on August 11, 2024 on the advice of the Thai88 employee. Food was ready on time and the young man was very friendly. The food was really great and I was particularly pleased with the chicken cashew. The service was also really great, we received free cutlery, prawn crackers and some fried snacks. This is so far the best Thai I know and fortunately near my hometown. In addition, the Thai is also halal. Keep it up because you are great!!

Best Thai in Utrecht!! Tried a lot. And are often disappointed. But they certainly don't disappoint us here. We really love Thai food and many restaurants are a bit bland in taste. It tastes perfect here 👌. Everything tastes fresh and they are not “stingy”. Portions are always well filled. We once ordered fish with green curry here and you really get a lot of fish. We ordered the same thing from the conculega and counted 3 pieces of fish in the entire bowl... We would love to come back here, glad we discovered you. Keep it up. 💪🏻

Ordered the pad Thai and some spring rolls for delivery. They arrived hot and were delicious. It was my first time ordering from Thai88 but it definitely won’t be the last! So happy my friend recommended this place Yum!

Delicious food!!! I asked for extra spicy on the monthly Chu Chee meal and it was BUSSING! They really ate! Also dish came with fried vegetable starters which was an awesome surprise. The guy at the checkout was super chill too. Imma be back for more

Likely the best Thai restaurant in Utrecht. Everyone is kind and nice. We always get the Panang Curry extra spicy. It is a 10/10. Highly recommended place.

Currently on holiday in England and I now notice how much I miss thai88. Great food for a great price! They usually know how to take your allergy into account, but you must report this carefully and double check. Food is so delicious that I still give it 5 stars

I have tried many different dishes at Thai88, they are all tasty and really good! The service is also good. I would order take-out and not eat there so quickly. But I also live nearby.

I live around the corner. Always drive past it, the interior is not very inviting to eat there. But decided to order there anyway because I was curious! I can only say that Utrecht really has a pearl richer. This is not nearly as good a Thai takeaway. It's fresh. Super tasty. You always get such sweet free gifts. This way you get to know other snacks they sell. Don't hesitate, order!!! You won't regret it 💓💓💓

I had the best experience dining at Thai 88 with my friends. All of my friends were very happy and said they would come back to eat at Thai 88 again. The portions are very big, the food is very good and the price is excellent (we are all students and we really appreciate this aspect). Moreover, the service is amazing: they responded to my questions very quickly over email, and did the best they could to provide excellent service, even though the restaurant is quite small and busy. Highly recommend.

Spontaneously walked into the shop on a busy evening, how worth it! Despite the crowds of sitting customers and delivery people, the service was very friendly. The food was carefully and freshly prepared, and the taste was delicious. This will become a permanent address for Thai cuisine.

Je parkeert hier direct in het buurtje op de straat. Het afhaalrestaurant valt op doordat het schoon is, de kwaliteit van het eten is zeer goed, prijs / kwaliteit verhouding is uitstekend! Efficiënt, snel en op tijd. Aanrader.

Average score as there are some great and some bad aspects. The spring rolls are excellent, as were the free prawn crackers provided. It is more than enough food, and price seems okay. Massaman curry was not very good unfortunately. It needed more aroma and to be balanced better. It should really contain roasted peanuts. More flavour from lemongrass, galangal, ginger, tamarind/lime/pineapple/bitter orange juice, any of these options to give it more depth. Massaman should not be spicy, but on the sweet side. Too much fish sauce. Then again, there is no place anywhere near that does it better, so I can't complain too much :)

I went with 5 friends if mine to have dinner here on Sunday night. The front desk, May, is really sweet and polite, serving us really nice. Food are very nice, delicious and tasty. Taste authentic. Green curry (Kang Keaw Wan) is our most favorite as it gives us spiciness. Everything is really good!

8 years in Thailand. It is the real deal. 100% Authentic as can be! This is the closest I’ve tasted in the Netherlands. Insane. Ordered online and got an extra starter 🥹. So happy I found this place. The Price and the quality and quantity you get is perfect. Thank you!!

Fast service and the food is great

Op basis van Google reviews langs gereden. Kleine zaak gericht op take away. Wij hebben er lekker gezeten. Besteld: Beef groene curry. Precies genoeg pit (voor sommige wellicht te pittig) vol van smaak vers bereid (dus niet na 10 minuten klaar vanuit de magnetron) En je vind er veel verse kruiden in terug. Roerbakgarnalen met cashews ook zeer goed op smaak en wederom lekker vers! We zaten vol maar hebben zo goed als alles opgegeten omdat het zo lekker was. Al met al een echte aanrader. Eigenaar staat er met veel passie en wilt alles goed hebben voor de klant. Top!

Heerlijke aanwinst voor de wijk! Vega Pad Thai besteld en dat was de beste die we ooit gehad hebben (zelfs vergeleken met Thailand!). Panang curry met kip was ook erg lekker. Als verrassing ook 2 voorgerechtjes kado gekregen (denk omdat we nieuwe klant zijn!?) en die waren ook lekker, springroll en pangsit. We komen snel terug om de rest te gaan proberen! 🥳 Ondertussen al heel vaak weer geweest en de Massaman curry is onze favoriet, naast de Pad Thai. Overal krijg je altijd de saaie Massaman en deze is zo vol met smaak en anders dan de rest, die MOET je proberen! Normaal bestel ik niet snel een ‘beef’ versie, maar had begrepen in Thailand, dat dat de originele Massaman dan is 😊 Volgende keer een foto vd gerechten erbij 😉

Heerlijk eten! Lekker gekruid en de poties zijn ruim voldoende. Op een zondag besteld, dus de verwachting was dat het even zou duren, maar het was netjes binnen een uur bezorgd. Zeker een aanrader, en volgende keer Thai weer hier bestellen

Tot nu toe echt altijd HEERLIJK!! Curry’s hebben heerlijke smaken. Porties ook lekker groot (kan er vaak de volgende dag nog van lunchen), veel groente en vlees erin! Ook nog eens super aardige mensen. Wij zijn fan. Bij twijfel kan ik iedereen aanraden om de maandspecial te nemen, die is tot nu toe altijd echt superlekker geweest!

Amazing. The food is of great quality! Each dish has its own great taste. The owner was very sociable and friendly and explained well the differences between the dishes. We wanted to take away, then decided to stay and sit down in the restaurant. Good local experience. Homemade green tea was great, fresh and very sweet.

Bestel hier vaak, zowel de tofu als de niet- vegetarische opties zijn heerlijk! Stelt nooit teleur. Altijd vriendelijk geholpen en porties zijn groot. Je krijgt zeker waar voor je geld.

Gisteren (1-7-23) heb ik gerecht nr 61 besteld en een sate. Heerlijk gegeten. Kreeg daarbij ook een promo pakketje mee , een soort van simausa en bakbananen. Gerechten waren overheerlijk , zeker als je er een sausje bij neemt. Bij de bakbananen pindasaus mmm

Help, ik heb een nieuwe verslaving geloof ik. Wat een lekker eten. En wat fijn dat er zoveel vega(n) keus is! De groenten zijn inderdaad wat grof gesneden; ik zag dat in sommige recensies terugkomen als kritiekpunt maar ik vond het juist lekker, dan heb je ook niet van die zielige zompige stukken in je eten. De saus was dan weer heel verfijnd van smaak, de tofu precies goed gebakken en de porties lekker royaal. Een waardige opvolger van Soy!

The best Thai food in Utrecht! It was a small restaurant that can fit max 15 customets. The food is absolutely delicious- so flavorful and so fragrant. We ordered a shrimp Pad Thai (noodle), beef pad prik gaeng (a monthly special), and chicken Tom kha kai (a coconut milk based soup). They are all soo delicious, and they look stunning too. I hope they keep the pad prik gaeng in the menu because it was absolutely bomb! If you are the first time eating Thai food, just ordered what i got and you won't regret it.

Super lekker Thais eten. Met echt heerlijke verse groenten die naar groente smaken. Zoals in Thailand. En de info en bediening is altijd aardig en behulpzaam. Aanrader !!!
