Sadly was excited for this restaurant based on the other reviews however I got a takeaway Tom yum as wasn’t feeling well and the dish had 2 shrimps in it and was charged an extra euro for takeaway. Sad!

Was there yesterday. Writing this while waiting for my flight back. As a devoted asian-food lover, i have to say the food is AMAZING. I had steamed rice with beef in red curry and vegetables. The taste was so balanced and yet very powerful in a good way. Service was nice and caring, and the staff are very joyful. Athmosphere is cozy, small and nice. I recommend giving it a try

The Pad Kra Pao was, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned, wonderfully aromatic, and absolutely delicious—it was the highlight of the meal and something I’ll definitely be thinking about long after. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is cozy, and you can truly feel the care and passion behind every dish. I would happily return and highly recommend this lovely little restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine.

An all around amazing experience in a well run restaurant with each dish being special. My first time eating Thai and it was glorious.

You walk in expecting a tourist trap, however what you’ll find is a nice small place that smells like Asian heaven. The food was one of the best I’ve ever had, to the point that even though I visited Amsterdam as a tourist I wanted to walk out from the restaurant and be in Thailand. Kudos to everyone working here!!!

What a wonderful experience this was. We had a delicious meal here in a lovely setting. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, and the view of the facade across the street really gives that typical Amsterdam feeling. Every single dish looked beautiful on the plates. We particularly enjoyed the curry with fresh vegetables and the beautifully presented plates with noodles and lime wedges. Everything was fresh and prepared with great flavor. We will definitely be back soon for another meal.

I ordered Tom Kha Gai (chicken coconut soup), Som Tum Thai (Thai papaya salad), Pad Krapow Moo (stir-fried pork with basil), and Pad Thai Gai (stir-fried chicken with Thai noodles). Everything was delicious. The staff were friendly and lovely. The chefs were very kind. If I come back to Amsterdam again, I will definitely come back to this restaurant. The taste is perfect for Thai people.

The Tom Ka seafood soup is so good it should be illegal. It was the best soup I've ever had. I don't believe people when they say something is the best they've ever had but I can't describe this dish in any other way. You must try it to understand. It was so rich and flavourful and now other soups taste like canal water. This is definitely a place I would revisit

I’m writing this review while sitting in the restaurant waiting for my food - and returning for the second night in a row during my Amsterdam trip. The coconut seafood soup was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. The flavors were rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. It’s the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after the meal is over. The mango sticky rice was also fantastic and the perfect dessert to finish everything off. What makes this place even more special is the family who owns it. They are absolutely lovely, warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. You can really feel the care they put into both the food and the atmosphere. A place I’ll definitely remember and recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

This dry-fried beef with basil is incredibly spicy and authentic! There are no vegetables to detract from the flavor; just beef, basil leaves, chilies, and garlic, dry-fried to a satisfyingly dark color. The dry-frying technique is excellent! The beef has a little marbling, making it tender and not tough. The flavor is intensely satisfying. It's served with a fried egg with a crispy, fluffy edge of the white, but a runny, orange yolk in the center – absolutely tempting!

👎👎👎👎👎 Very disappointing experience. The menu doesn’t mention portion sizes or drink volumes, and there’s no difference indicated between small and large portions. I ordered Tom Yum and received the smallest bowl I’ve ever seen in my life — honestly shocking for a restaurant. Tom Yum is usually served in a proper large bowl, not in a tiny dish for that price. The waitress was unfriendly and unhelpful, and the rice even arrived with strange spots on it. Overall, poor service, tiny portions, and questionable food quality. Nice little spot for some Thai food in the busy bar area. Not a lot of tables so imagine it might get busy but when I was there I had my choice. #8 Tom Yam soup (w/shrimp) and #31 Pad Si-eiew (w/ chicken). Food was very nice and the Team there (Family or very close) were great. Friendly, quick service, and I loved the food!

expectations were quite high after learning that the people in the kitchen are thai, however the food sadly did not deliver. i ordered the tom yum noodle soup but what came didn’t even have a hint of tom yum flavours. the broth was extremely sweet and reminded me of the pad thai served in whitewashed restaurants. they also charged me additional €3 for a couple extra basil stems.

We went there to eat based on the good reviews and weren't disappointed. We paid €40 for two main courses and two drinks. The food tasted fantastic. We would definitely eat there again.

The beef noodle soup had a sweet flavor, and the beef portion was huge—very tender and fragrant. The noodles were also chewy and delicious! It was the kind of soup that would make you gasp in one bite. The milk tea was incredibly rich and didn't get diluted even at the end. The staff were all lovely and friendly, making for a very comfortable dining experience. 🥰

Cozy and the best pad thai I ever had.

The place looks very unassuming which i like and the red curry was very clean tasting. Its not overly spicy you can add more spice on the table so I think its a good place to take people with mixed spiced tolerances. The tofu sate was also super nice

Good quality Thai food and impressively fast service. Flavors were solid and portions fair. The only downside is that the very small space can feel cramped, and the strong food smell sticks with you. Still a good quick stop if you’re not planning to dine in long.

We had a delicious meal at Lotus Thai Food Amsterdam. It's a bit hidden (we walked past it several times without seeing it), but definitely worth it if you find it! The minced meat was very spicy, but the flavor was good. The chicken egg noodles were fantastic.

A bizarre location where a worker kept constantly freshen her make up in the kitchen area as if it is ok. Hence, I suspect many many health code violations. Food was good but I would not trust the ingredients given the weird setting. The weirdest part is that it has an open kitchen and you see that staff does not care much.

It doesn't look particularly impressive from the outside or inside, but the food is good and comes pretty close to authentic Thai food. The three of us spent about €100, including a few Singha beers. It was very cold inside because the door was open all the time. The portions weren't very large.

Lotus Thai Food – Warmoesstraat, Amsterdam After a morning full of learning, lust, and liturgy (RoB Amsterdam, De Oude Kerk), it was time for something down-to-earth: food. Els had one mission: bami. Not just any portion—three kilos, minimum. I just wanted to sit down… and, honestly, check out Johnny’s Vintage and Leathers’ belt collection on Etsy one last time. Lotus Thai Food is strategically situated between sin and bliss. The aroma of wok and fish sauce filled the street, mingling with the leather of Warmoes. Els exclaimed upon entering: “Harm, this smells like destiny!” She received her bami—steaming, shiny, full of life. I received chicken with cashew, a plastic fork, and a moment of existential peace. We ate in silence, as if Matthias Reim had just performed. Els concluded with: “Harm… this is what love tastes like when you’re hungry.” 4 stars. Food: delicious. Location: perfect between RoB and De Oude Kerk. Experience: spiritual bami with a leather undertone.
