Lovely restaurant with the most friendly staff, the sweet thai lady that was organizing the orders, kitchen, food serving and dealing with customers was very friendly and kind and made the experience feel like we went to Thailand! They have chang beer also 🍻 The place can get busy and you might wait a bit for the food/seating but it's worth it. Prices can feel extra too, splitting with a group will make it more sensible.

I think is a little overrated. The food is only on the normal standard. It’s not bad, but also not surprised as well. The portion is not big and we wait for a long time to get the food.

Had a delicious Pad Thai meal. The ingredients are prepared fresh daily. The restaurant is tucked away in a basement. Highly recommended!

The place is in a small basement, with a distinct smell of fried food and spices, and a lot of chaos, including piles of dirty dishes on the counter, because the three people working there are rushing around like crazy to serve all the customers waiting in line. The food is delicious! We had a curry and the stir-fried pasta with vegetables (from the pad thai section of the menu), and the flavors are the best we've had in Thailand.

Good food, nothing to complain about the service. Go for it with your eyes closed.

Small and can get busy later in the night. Was busy around 9pm-ish weekday. Clean and good food, but only one cook when I went, so the food was a bit slow. Very fresh though. Server was nice, often busy and nice when explaining menu items. Menu prices have gone up compared to older menu pictures on Google reviews. E.g. Tom Yam Noodle Soup was around €19. A bit expensive.

Great food and good prices. I had a soup with rice for 8€ and a Pad Thai with tofu for 16€, sharing with my gf. I don’t put 5 starts because they serve spicy food but it is not possible to have tap water. The toilet is in the dodgy hotel nearby.

Lotus Thai Food, Amsterdam – My favourite Pad Thai in the city Tucked inside Hotel Torenzicht, this place is an underrated gem. The Pad Thai with chicken was proper. Balanced flavour, not too sweet, no ketchup weirdness, just fresh, wok-fried goodness with the right texture and heat. The Pad Si-Eiew was mellow and clean, not soy-heavy. Tasted more like a lighter stir-fry with good depth and proper wok char. Spring rolls were crisp with no grease. The chicken satay was grilled well, juicy, and came with a peanut sauce that actually tasted like peanuts. And yes, I had three Thai iced teas. Cold, creamy, perfect with the spice. No regrets. The bill came to €65.50 for two. Worth every cent. If you're in Amsterdam and want Thai food that delivers, go here.

I’m not sure about Thai food in Europe. Having been to Thailand and eaten Thai food for the better part of two decades, the worst Thai food I’ve had is in Europe. It just doesn’t taste right. I don’t know if it’s too hard to get the right ingredients or what but it’s not good. And unfortunately this place falls in that not good camp. If you’re an undiscerning Thai food eater, it will probably be ok for you. But if you’ve had real Thai food, this place will be a disappointment.

Hi everyone, I wanted to eat here and use the restroom to wash my hands. While I was there, the owner, dressed in normal clothes, remarked that I should go find a shawarma place. You have to be able to show a little respect to customers, especially if you own this place.

Excellent authentic Thai cuisine. Very flavorful. Beef and tofu are absolutely excellent. Service is great as well, and the restaurant ambience is perfect — not too loud or busy but definitely a sought after restaurant.

I ordered the chicken pad Thai and it was delicious. It was large enough to share with someone if you aren’t super hungry. Our daughter ordered the Thai red curry with chicken and hers was great too! I would definitely recommend this place!

Hot summer day. Fan spinning inside. I came for the beef noodle soup. Spicy, hot, rich with deep beefy flavor. Nose running, forehead sweating, a few curses slipping out. For 15 minutes, I wasn’t in Amsterdam, I was in Bangkok.

Really nice spot down off of the red light district takes you out of the hustle and bustle of the area but still drops you right back in there after as succulent Thai meal (🇳🇿). I tried this small restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam. It is definitely value for money. We all had vegetarian only. The food is amazing even for vegetarians.

This place is AMAZING! What a hidden gem, service was so great from (I assume) the owners. I asked for mine very spicy and they did not disappoint, my whole group loved their food and finished their plates. This is the first time I finished my plate in years! Definitely recommend

Hidden away authentic and delicious Thai made my some lovely Thai ladies ! Flavours were incredible and so so authentic!!! Service was a little slow as there were a few big groups and it was abit more of a “quick eats” place as opposed to formal sit down meal. However would 1000% recommend if you’re wanting some fair prices and authentic Thai food. Thanks so much we will be back!

Delicious stewed beef noodles. The soup is rich and flavorful. It has a light aroma of herbs and spices. I must say that this is another shop that is both cheap and good. The taste is like eating in Thailand. You have to try it. For those who love crunchy beef, I must say that you will be so satisfied.

Worst experience in my life. I have ordered Tom Yum Soup. The soup tasted fine but it has a very small portion so we ordered another one without onions and a less spicy. They brought us a boiled water with 3 shrimps in it. I went back and told them perhaps they misunderstood our order and asked them do make as like the first one and they only put chili sauce in it and served it. It tasted nothing like a tom yum. I paid the full price for both soups but told them that the second soup didnt taste like tom yum. Upon which the two ladies there started shouting at me, became very rude, cursed at me and one showed a middle finger at me. At that time I started recording them then they got physical and pushed me. Disgusting people.

The food was super tasty, and I finally got to satisfy my craving for Thai curry and rice. The staff were really nice, and we had a great time enjoying our meal. The Pad Thai was quite good here. Tried it in many other places, and also in Thailand itself, and I can say it was comparable. The Mango Sticky rice was also an ok portion and good taste.

Delicious food! A must to visit here. Friendly welcome. Within 10 minutes the food will be in front of you. A bit noisy when it's busy, but that shouldn't spoil the fun of eating tasty food.

Oh my dog, I had a weekend in Amsterdam and came here with a friend and I could’ve cried at how good my plate was, this place is literally the worlds best kept secret. I ended up leaving Amsterdam and coming back about 2 weeks later because I couldn’t stop thinking about my pad see ew, unfortunately they where closed due to holiday, I went to another Thai place but nothing compares, it’s been 4 months and I still think about this place. Even though it is located in the basement, everything seems clean and tidy. The rooms are bright and create a cozy atmosphere. However, a small downside is that the toilet is currently in the bar above, which is a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the restaurant is located in the red light district, which may be uncomfortable for some guests - hence a star deduction for the location in terms of ambience. Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) The service was excellent as the boss served personally. He was funny, friendly and took great care of everything. There were no misunderstandings with the orders, everything was served correctly and in a timely manner. A truly outstanding service! Food and drinks: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) The food was absolutely fantastic and reached the highest Thai standard – at least for the non-Asian palate. A loving cook ensures that every dish is prepared to perfection. We tried number 22, "Keng Daeng", an extremely delicious dish with a slightly sweet yet spicy curry sauce, coconut milk, fresh vegetables and chicken - just perfect. We also had dish number 31, "Pad Si-eiew", flat rice noodles with vegetables, soy and egg, and here too the taste was exceptional. We have rarely enjoyed such good Thai food! Value for money: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) The prices are absolutely reasonable for the excellent quality of the food. Main courses start at around €15, which is a common price in a good restaurant these days. Given the quality offered, the price-performance ratio is absolutely harmonious. Conclusion: This restaurant offers a fantastic Thai experience with outstanding service and excellent dishes. Despite the small disadvantages of the location, it impresses with the high quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. Definitely worth a visit!

Excellent little Thai spot. Food was so, so delicious. We had panang curry and fried rice and it was hands down some of the best of curry and rice we have ever tasted world wide. The restaurant was also open late and it was just a nice and extremely tasty little escape from the hustle.
