The Pad Thai was quite good here. Tried it in many other places, and also in Thailand itself, and I can say it was comparable. The Mango Sticky rice was also an ok portion and good taste.

Just a lovely hidden place to have dinner right in the center of Amsterdam. Really friendly staff. Affordable prices. Of all Thai food places I would definitely recommend this one.

Delicious food! A must to visit here. Friendly welcome. Within 10 minutes the food will be in front of you. A bit noisy when it's busy, but that shouldn't spoil the fun of eating tasty food.

The staff is very friendly, the food is very tasty and the service was very good, we were 6 people and everyone was happy with their food at a good price! I would come back happy.

Oh my dog, I had a weekend in Amsterdam and came here with a friend and I could’ve cried at how good my plate was, this place is literally the worlds best kept secret. I ended up leaving Amsterdam and coming back about 2 weeks later because I couldn’t stop thinking about my pad see ew, unfortunately they where closed due to holiday, I went to another Thai place but nothing compares, it’s been 4 months and I still think about this place. I will be back

Even though it is located in the basement, everything seems clean and tidy. The rooms are bright and create a cozy atmosphere. However, a small downside is that the toilet is currently in the bar above, which is a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the restaurant is located in the red light district, which may be uncomfortable for some guests - hence a star deduction for the location in terms of ambience. Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) The service was excellent as the boss served personally. He was funny, friendly and took great care of everything. There were no misunderstandings with the orders, everything was served correctly and in a timely manner. A truly outstanding service! Food and drinks: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) The food was absolutely fantastic and reached the highest Thai standard – at least for the non-Asian palate. A loving cook ensures that every dish is prepared to perfection. We tried number 22, "Keng Daeng", an extremely delicious dish with a slightly sweet yet spicy curry sauce, coconut milk, fresh vegetables and chicken - just perfect. We also had dish number 31, "Pad Si-eiew", flat rice noodles with vegetables, soy and egg, and here too the taste was exceptional. We have rarely enjoyed such good Thai food! Value for money: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) The prices are absolutely reasonable for the excellent quality of the food. Main courses start at around €15, which is a common price in a good restaurant these days. Given the quality offered, the price-performance ratio is absolutely harmonious. Conclusion: This restaurant offers a fantastic Thai experience with outstanding service and excellent dishes. Despite the small disadvantages of the location, it impresses with the high quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. Definitely worth a visit!

Excellent little Thai spot. Food was so, so delicious. We had panang curry and fried rice and it was hands down some of the best of curry and rice we have ever tasted world wide. The restaurant was also open late and it was just a nice and extremely tasty little escape from the hustle.

If you are looking for Thai food in Amsterdam this is one of the must visits. They prepare the food right in front of you either all the authentic Thai ingredients. We had Thai friedrice , green curry and mango sticky rice which were absolutely delicious

We loved this small and cozy place! The food was good. The veg spring-rolls were really yummy with fresh ingredients! We loved the satay also. We actually went there twice for dinner as the food was really good and as well as the staff were really friendly. Hats off to these 2 women there!

Food was good, but it is a small kitchen. We needed to wait 30+ minutes, order has to be taken at the cash register.

The staff are really nice and friendly, the food was good too. We didn’t like the locations as it is unfortunately right in the middle of redlight and in a lower level of the building.

The two old Thai ladies working were friendly and polite. Food tasted fairly authentic but wished the pad kee mao was the chewy rice noodles instead of chinese noodles. We were hungry roaming around for food and they open late so that was a bonus.

The Best Thai Food Outside of Thailand!! Both the Pad Thai and the Tom Ka soup with tofu tasted extremely delicious. In addition, the restaurant owners are extremely friendly. Compared to other Thai restaurants in the center of Amsterdam, it's even cheaper here. I will now eat here on every future visit to Amsterdam!

I feel that whatever I write, I won't do this fine place a justice. In short, this small restaurant with a big soul and the kindest staff is the place to go if you want to eat the most delicious and hottest meals of your life. Pad Nam Prik Pao is meal fit for a god, while Singha beer is the icing on the proverbial cake. Go there, drink, eat, enjoy, and then repeat.

I arrived skeptical as it was on the red light district street and I was worried it would be a tourist scam. Nonetheless I was super excited to visit as the reviews were so good and when I arrived I was sure it’d be good as it seemed like a family run spot. Unfortunately that was the extent of my good experience. Came here for a late dinner around 9pm and couldn’t leave until 11 because food took so long to come. Bizarre as there were barely any people when we arrived. The staff were polite but it really is disappointing when you get served a very salty small plate of noodles you paid 16 euros for, after 40 minutes of waiting. Even hunger couldn’t make me enjoy the food. Fortunately they were aware and obliged with giving us tap water without charging us for it. Seems like the kitchen vent wasn’t turned on so the place also smelt of grease, although the lighting and space was otherwise clean. Would not return.

Their name is "lotus" but somehow it shows up as "Thai food" on Google maps lol The owner is very nice Food's very flavorful and authentic, went two times. But both times (two different chefs) were too salty 🙂

From the moment you get in the place you feel like you swim in a bath of deep oil the scent of the deep frying is too strong. The food was too oily the savory level was on par, and the portion was just right but not enough vegetables.

I’m surprised there weren’t more people here! It’s a quiet, sort of hidden restaurant in red light district. The food was delicious and well priced. The noodles were soo good. Tom yum was also good but couldve had more flavor. Very kind staff as well! I’d visit again for sure
