The food is fine, but quite expensive in relation to what you get. Furthermore, it is ridiculous to dare charge €4 for 4 thin slices of chorizo—together I estimate not even 50 grams. Therefore, the price-quality ratio is not okay.

The food was nice, nothing exceptional and a few things didn’t seem quite to standard (Smashed avocado was actually pureed, big difference imo, egg was over done) but others very nice (pancakes especially went down well). Sadly we waited over 40 minutes for a very simple order at a time that wasn’t particularly busy. It seems there are some running/management issues because there was at times some quite obvious open discord between the FoH staff and kitchen. I saw one persons food dish left out for at least 20 minutes before it was served and there were a few flies flying around so that wasn’t great to see. For the food I would return but the overall experience I’m afraid not.

I have to give one star because the 35 minutes we waited to be served we never were. I went inside around 15 minutes in to let them know we were ready to order and they told me a colleague would be with us shortly. Another table sat down close us and also waited around 15 minutes then the waitress passed us and went to take their order. At this point we decided to just walk away

The bread was dry, the sausages were floury and chewy and there was even a piece of eggshell in the fried eggs. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this place, very disappointing.

Can't recommend. I had an omelette with "salad" and sourdough. The omelette was raw and didn't taste like anything, bread didn't have any butter and was hard, salad was only a pile of rucola leaves. Service was rude. On top of all of this I got a diarrhea from the food and was thus unable to do anything that day.

Felt very unwelcome and uneasy. When entering we got asked “can i help you” as if we were not supposed to be there. The iced latte was drowned in water and the syrup was way too much. Felt like drinking a cup of syrup. The matcha was terrible, tastes like pear juice. Bad pear juice. Only took one sip and couldn’t even finish it because of how bad it was. The mint tea tasted straight up like boiled water and the mint looked it had been through a lot. The vibe was very weird and we were being watched the whole time. It was a very uncomfortable experience and we do not recommend. Go at your own risk. The food did look alright, but we didn’t get anything to eat.

I used to go to The Breakfast Club often since 2019. Very surprised how much the food quality has changed. I had chicken waffles. The waffle was way too sweet and sugary almost like pop tarts. Small piece of chicken, not even crispy. And tiny shredded red cabbage in between. The worst of them all is that the waitress gave away my table and took away my half full iced americano when I went to the toilet. I haven’t even asked for the bill. It was Monday, before noon. Not the busiest time. I usually don’t give bad reviews. But this one is exceptional. Never again 👎🏻

The staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is good. However, the venue does not have air conditioning or fans, which are essential during the summer. Additionally, the cleanliness of the restrooms needs to be improved.

Waitress's first day on earth. Me and my girlfriend decided to have lunch here as we have done so in the past. This time around we had such an odd experience that we were left flabbergasted. I've never seen a waitress so bad at her job before, so here goes. We went around mid afternoon for lunch. The place wasn't busy, I'd say around 5 tables. It still took 10 minutes for our waitress to come take our order, mostly because she was struggling with taking an order from the table next to us. When she came to us, I wanted to order a coffee and a homemade iced tea. This was already too much for her, one person ordering two drinks?? She proceeded to ask me if I only wanted coffee or ice tea. I said both, she asked again if I wanted both, I confirmed (then proceeded to take 2 full minutes finding it on her POS). Then when I wanted to order the smashburger without tomatoes we hit a second wall. She asked me if I wanted cheese on it. I said yes just no tomatoes. She then told me there's avocado on the burger, to which I looked at the menu confused. I don't think it's on there I said. She said yes it's on there. I said okay and then I repeated just leave everything as is just no tomatoes. She said okay, no tomatoes. My order arrives and what do you know? Tomatoes. Of course... I can look past this, I've had this happen before, no big deal I'll just remove them. My annoyance really started when I wanted the bill. I asked her if I could get it and was told it'll be right there. I waited and nothing came. She then proceeded to take a man's order who wanted a club sandwich with an extra egg on the side. She somehow understood this as a club sandwich with no bread??? Another member of staff had to come and confirm his order to which he had to repeat: no I want everything on there, just an extra egg on the side. The other staff relayed this to the kitchen, to which my waitress chimed in: "yes but without tomatoes." The other staff member was visibly annoyed by her and told the chef to ignore her. I watched this unfold waiting on my bill and ran out of patience. I'll just go to the counter and pay I thought. When I got my receipt before paying I was quite shocked. I had to pay extra for cheese and avocado. Cheese... which was already listed on the menu, and avocado, which she told me was also on the burger already even though I never said I wanted that as extra. I pointed this out and after arguing with my waitress that cheese is listed on the menu under the burger I ordered, they removed the cheese. Sadly not the avocado. TLDR: Food was alright but waitress was so bad at her job I've never seen such a waste of potential in a restaurant. Be careful who you hire.

Yesterday, I went to the Breakfast Club with my colleague to get two iced Matcha lattes. The lady at the bar with long brown curly hair was incredibly rude. She didn't acknowledge us at all and didn't even say hello. Eventually, another colleague came to take our order and saw that it was taking a long time. That order was also taken incorrectly. It was quite noisy in the restaurant, so I can certainly understand that something was misunderstood, but instead of an iced drink, I received a hot drink. I pointed this out, and also that it was probably just a misunderstanding and not a problem; nevertheless, the lady in question argued with me and insisted it was my fault. She then poured the hot drinks into a cup with ice. I indicated that I wanted a new drink because you can't turn matcha from hot to cold like you can with regular coffee using ice. The barmaid refused and said it was the same. I also had to pay the difference for a watered-down matcha that was half hot, half cold. My colleague and I both tasted the drink, and it just tasted like water because all the ice had already melted. I walked back to indicate that it really wasn't good. I was met with a rude response, and it was said once again that it was my own fault. In the end, I left the drinks there, and we walked away empty-handed. We wanted to organize a company lunch at The Breakfast Club for our 10th anniversary, but after experiencing the service, we will absolutely not be doing so again. A complete waste of money and the experience.

The food was very good, although a bit pricey for being on the outskirts of town. The problem is the service; they are very slow and unfriendly. On two occasions, they forgot breakfast for two people and then brought it to us rudely, even though it was their mistake.

Mediocre. They took their sweet time with coming over for orders. Drinks took too long to be brought. Glas was smudged. Chilly cheese steak, you shouldn't call it that. That is a sneer to the OG recipe.

The place was far from crowded and we were waiting outside to be seated while it was raining. After 5min the waiter said they are full. Not the best experience

I can tell the waitresses are trying and putting in energy into the job, so service is at least amicable. However the food is mid, and the kitchen is extremely slow, they also forgot to check on us if we needed anything after they brought the food out. I would expect for the price and name recognition to be a more pleasant experience. After this I have come to the conclusion Waffle House is better, I'm afraid.

Okay, but not quite good value for money. Making an online reservation for four people was absolutely no problem. We ordered four different dishes, which tasted okay, but unfortunately weren't anything special. The portion sizes varied somewhat and weren't particularly generous, which was disappointing considering the prices – the value for money wasn't really convincing. In addition, the arugula on the plates was already quite wilted and no longer fresh. The service was okay – not unfriendly, but not particularly warm or attentive either. Overall, it was decent, but not enough for us to return.

I wish I could break my fast here 🤌

The worst restaurant I've ever eaten at. I ordered a burger, there was no sauce (just the patty and a bun), and what's worse, the meat tasted rotten... so I couldn't eat it. Furthermore, I found the service rather unfriendly (very unfriendly demeanor + I really had to insist to find out if there was an ingredient in the dish that could be harmful to my health). Avoid this place, as it's quite expensive for such mediocre food.

A small but well-kept restaurant, opposite Sloterdijk station. We've been there several times and have always had good food. Some of the staff are Italian. The prices are in line with the cost of living in the Netherlands (which is more expensive than Italy). Overall, very good.

A very disappointing experience. We waited over an hour for our order to be taken, while customers who arrived after us were served much sooner. The food was bland and unseasoned, and the drinks (even the coffee) were watered down. The service was lukewarm, and the restrooms were poorly maintained (clogged sink, overflowing trash can). We do not recommend this place.

Food was rather uninspired for the price, not seasoned and not nicely presented, and therefore unreasonably expensive; the toilet was also dirty.

The food was funny and presentation was good. Restaurants has inside and outside seating as well as 2nd floor (if open). Service is very attentive and fast in case you need to rush for the train/bus.

The food ( breakfast was so bad) they put one egg on top of a heated toast and call it “special breakfast” and charge you 15/14 Euros. No sauce, no side dish, no cheese, no honey no nothing, literally a dry toast with an egg on top. We got a sandwich from a supermarket near by and it was 10 times better. I dont recommend at all. Its full with tourists who them too dont realise how bad it is.

For vegans, the selection is limited to two dishes, which I found very disappointing. I had an avocado toast which was delicious.

I stayed for a few days at Hotel2Stay in Amsterdam Sloterdijk. There aren't many restaurants in the immediate area, but the Breakfast Club is a real highlight! The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable! It's a great place for breakfast, or you can enjoy fresh, well-prepared dishes like burgers and sandwiches later on. They even have beer and wine. Unfortunately, the place closes at 6 pm. I would suggest they add live music and stay open until 1 am. That would make it a fantastic meeting place!

Honest take: there are cozier coffee places in Amsterdam, but if you're in need of a good coffee or a quick bite before your train or bus journey from Sloterdijk, this is the place to go.

Horrible waitress. I just noted there are similar reviews about that dark brown hair waitress on Google. She showed us long face with rude voice at the time we entered the restaurant. She told us to split our group of 5 people into three tables rather than asked us to wait for a while or rearrange the tables. She then even rolled her eyes while taking our orders. Food quality is just okay. Coffee tasted like milky water. Chicken was dry. The food and horrible service do not worth the money. I am a tourist and surprised by that kind of horrible attitudes.

There was a queue at the door around lunchtime (as expected). Our wait was less than 5 minutes. The breakfast was delicious and the presentation was also very nice 🌟

Had the breakfast burger and the eggs Benedict. Both quite mediocre. The pancakes with fruit at other people's tables looked quite good; consider leaning that way. Cappuccino was decent, 7/10.

The restaurant was really cute, but the staff seemed incredibly stressed. Our food was cleared away without any thought, and when we paid, they just held up the card reader. We couldn't even see the bill, and there was no receipt. There were also many empty tables.

Absolutely loved this brunch spot! The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented, but what really made the experience special was Marta. She provided excellent service from start to finish — super friendly, attentive and welcoming. She made us feel genuinely taken care of and brought such a positive energy to the place. Honestly, I love eggs benedict, but this one was probably the worst / least memorable. It felt like eating a BLT with an egg on top. What's with the lettuce and the tomato? And little hollandaise sauce and really nothing great. The only good thing they had going was how the egg was cooked. It would have been meh if it wasn't for the crazy price...value for money is 0.

Had the New York breakfast and it was delicious! Although it was busy, we only waited about 15m to sit, partially because we were a group of 6. The food was quick and price was standard for the quality. Would definitely return and recommend.

I was a bit reluctant to sit, given many poor reviews about the service. In my case, I was served by a brilliant waitress who could speak different languages (polish , Italian, english) to the various customers and actually she was very friendly and professional. So in my case service was really on point. The food was ok, nothing spectacular

I visited The Breakfast Club with a group of five black women and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience with the service. From the moment we arrived, the staff member who served us was rude and unwelcoming. There was no smile, no friendliness, and overall just a very cold attitude towards our table. I paid attention throughout the meal, and we were the only table she didn’t show any warmth or basic customer service to, which didn’t sit right with me. To make things worse, when our food arrived, only four out of five meals were brought out. We were then told that my friend’s order was no longer available, but this was only communicated after the other four meals had already been cooked and served. It’s really not acceptable to leave someone waiting like that without any prior notice. My friend then had to wait an additional 15 minutes for a replacement meal while the rest of us had already started and finished eating, which completely ruined the experience for her. The food itself was nice, but the service, particularly from that staff member, was extremely poor and left a bad impression overall

This was one of the worst breakfasts I’ve ever had. The pancakes and the club sandwich were dry and completely tasteless. Even in the blueberry pancakes, there was barely any syrup it was hardly noticeable. The service was also very poor. It took a long time for someone to come and take our order, and when they finally did, they only took the food order and left. We had to call them back to let them know we hadn’t ordered drinks yet. They returned without any apology. I’m really disappointed with both the quality of the food and the service.

If you are coming in a group, remember to book in advance so you can meet up together.

I had their chicken burger. The portion size was decent and filling enough, though the taste was just okay, nothing particularly memorable. On the positive side, the service was fast and efficient, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience more enjoyable overall. A solid spot if you’re looking for a quick and easy meal with good service.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself in the bright sunshine. I received my fries 1 minute after ordering and my iced latte 1 minute later. Excellent service! I was lucky I had my earphones with me; the atmosphere was a bit less pleasant because I could hear construction work from the surrounding buildings the whole time.

Unfriendly service, very disappointing coffee to go

Upon arrival, we were walked past multiple times while waiting to be shown to a table. After we had been seated for a short while, we were able to order drinks quickly, which was fine. To order the food, we had to signal someone. During the ordering process, I asked if I could exchange an ingredient for another free of charge. This was fine. We were seated close to the kitchen, and our entire order waited at the serving station for over ten minutes while plenty of staff were standing around doing nothing. Afterwards, we were charged an extra fee on the bill for exchanging the ingredients; a shame, because the food tasted quite good (though ultimately too expensive for what you get, but that is often the case in the city). Too bad, we will never be coming back.

We arrived spontaneously with a group of six, and unfortunately, we received no help finding seats. Instead, we were curtly turned away with the comment that there were no seats available. Unfortunately, the coffees to go were also undrinkable.

An excellent choice if you need breakfast near Sloterdijk Station. I am a long-time fan of the Breakfast club locations in Harlemmerplein and Bellamyplein, and I finally got to visit this location. I was not disappointed. The food and coffee are the same high quality as the other places, and considering the location, the staff do an awesome job during busy times. I had the London city breakfast and cappuccino. Everything was just right, and I caught my train on time, too. Update: After several excellent meals here, today's experience was quite different. The waitress seemed angry before I even got seated. After she took my order (the same thing I always order), there was a long wait. Then the food was brought by a different person, and it was already cold. The two eggs were sitting on one piece of hard, thick bread. When I asked about my cappuccino, he quickly went to get it but it had clearly been sitting there the whole time. I ate my cold breakfast, and when I was finished I tried to get her attention. She was clearly ignoring me. Someone came and took my empty plate, but then I sat and waited. Finally a third person came and asked if I was finished. I paid the check and left.

A little disappointed in this spot. Service was very slow - many tables and no one being sat. Food was mediocre compared to its price point.

Great atmosphere, but the service needs work. With a full floor of staff on, it was still surprisingly difficult to get seated, flag someone down to order, and close out the check. The food itself was solid, just wish the portions reflected the price point.

Highly recommended! We were on holiday in Amsterdam for two days and were looking for an affordable breakfast, which we found at The Breakfast Club. There are several branches in the city, which is very convenient. The price-performance ratio was generally good. Unfortunately, we couldn't order orange juice because the machine was broken, so we give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Good Food but really bad and unfriendly service (women with dark hair and dark glasses). Couldn't talk, couldn't ask if everything is well .. just starred at us. Sad for such a solid place. You should hire more qualified or at least more friendly staff to ensure a pleasant stay.

A great breakfast option if you're in the area or just passing through. Its location next to the station is a bonus. Attentive and fast service. A wide variety of options allows you to customize your breakfast. Highly recommended.

I had much higher expectations for this place and was massively disappointed. Here are the reasons for my poor rating: Extremely long wait times: We had to wait 60 minutes for our food. For a restaurant that's supposed to be focused on breakfast and fast service, that's absolutely unacceptable. Unfriendly staff: The service was anything but welcoming. We felt more like a burden than a welcome guest. It generally seemed like no one wanted to serve the customers. No separate payment possible: Then came the next surprise – it wasn't possible to pay separately. In this day and age, and especially in a city like Amsterdam, this basic service should be standard.

Love the vibe at this location. It’s modern and spacious with a really high-quality menu. Excellent breakfast spot just a short walk from Amsterdam Sloterdijk. Much better quality and atmosphere than anything you'll find inside the station. They have a wide variety of options including great vegetarian and vegan dishes. It’s a large, open space so it’s easy to bring luggage along if you’re heading to the airport. Quick service and friendly staff

A very cozy, busy place with a "Breakfast menu" for the whole day, not just for breakfast. The service is very friendly and efficient, and the food consists of nice, straightforward portions without any unnecessary frills. So, they are really geared towards people who want to grab a quick bite and then travel on. But you can easily sit there longer. Nicely decorated place too, with an industrial vibe.

This restaurant is not far from the Park Inn (hotel). I decided to treat myself to breakfast here on my first morning in Amsterdam. And they certainly succeeded! The toast was delicious. The atmosphere was cozy.

It looked better on TikTok than it actually was. I had the avocado and egg croissant, which wasn't anything special. Also, no one was allowed to sit by the window, and everyone was forced to sit in the middle (half or half people), which meant you were practically sitting on each other's laps, even though there was actually plenty of room.

January 2026. They forgot about our order, it was very cold in the room, and we waited about 40 minutes. Everyone was freezing. But the food was delicious.

The food was rather carelessly thrown together, and the "side salad" consisted simply of dry arugula without any dressing. The staff also seemed very annoyed.
