The Hangout in Wijk 28 Wippolder

Its strategic location within the TU Delft campus makes it quite accessible for everyone, even by walking. Recently, I invited some of my friends after a campus event, and everyone seemed satisfied with the food served. A really nice choice if you want to have a proper dine-in after a full day of in-campus activity.

Not even bothering to speak a little Dutch is irritating. How hard is it?

I love these guys! I don't know if it's because of the food, the friendly people, the cozy environment, or even the wonderful soundtrack! The prices are quite fair, and if they were in City Centre, they would be the most famous restaurant in the city. You rock, dudes!

Great staff and good food...I ordered a poke bowl and the chicken noodle soup was basic but tasty as well.

We've been there twice and enjoyed every single times. Such a cozy and chill place. The deco is lovely and into details. Rows of hanging lanterns remind us so much of Vietnam. The food is authentic and delicious. We've ordered Pho, Sizzling beef ... and enjoyed them all. Totally recommended

Hangout in Delft is my new favorite Vietnamese spot 😍 Everything was super fresh, full of flavor, and just like in Vietnam. A large, beautiful place with lots of light and space—and… kid-friendly! Oh my gosh, every dish has the right flavor ✌️Only I don't have enough strength to try the 4th dish at once 😅 Luckily, the restaurant also gave me a bonus - listening to singer Thanh Hoa live, a legendary voice from the late 80s - early 90s (if I'm not mistaken)..... the voice was so good 😍

Visited The Hangout, mainly because a friend of mine works there. The place was nice and cozy, with a relaxed vibe. During my visit, it was relatively quiet—which I actually enjoyed, as it made the experience more chill and comfortable. Located in TU Delft area, so it’s a convenient spot for students or anyone around campus looking for a laid-back place to eat. We ordered the Fried Egg Noodles with Crispy Duck. The noodles were decent, but honestly, it was the duck that stole the show—crispy, flavorful, and well-cooked. We also tried the Vietnamese Beef Noodles, which were fresh and tasty, with a clean and light broth. Overall, quite an okay experience. A nice spot to hang out if you're looking for a casual and relaxed meal.

Hidden gem on the TU. We ordered fried spring rolls, boneless chicken, chicken noodles and some beef and it was amazing!!

The chicken had a slightly gamey taste, but the homemade sauce was quite good. The portion size was really too small for someone who has worked all day.

Only ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee and a few snacks but everything was very well prepared. We also got a cheeky extra piece of boneless chicken because we were sharing everything the two of us and the chicken usually comes in 5 pcs. Very much appreciated. This is also one of few places I've been able to get Vietnamese iced coffee so that an extra plus. :)

The food is delicious. I had Poke, Vietnamese Pho and snacks here. I really felt the taste of home from the food. It was great and of course I will come back for more.

Food is very 👎, salad just leaves without proper sauce, noodles with duck and chicken also without sauce were awful, never again.

Had yellow curry which I found okay, definitely thai yellow curry is much better. Also, they do not serve normal water, which was disappointing. Dumplings were great.

Imani doesn't have an empty plate, but what a great place :) On Sanne's last working day, I came to the conclusion that Hangout is the place to be on Campus.

Great location, right at the edge of the campus, next to Spar. Prices are reasonable, in addition they have offers for every day of the week and in the weekend any dish in the whole menu is 10.95 euro. Definitely recommend this place for a quick bite, they serve the food very fast and it's delicious, and if you're really in a hurry and need a drink, you can go straight to the bar.

If I were a student at TUDelft I would visit this place for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The steamed chicken rice is good but the pokebowl not so

So good. Our group had teriyaki salmon and rice, yellow curry chicken and rice, crispy duck and noodles and salmon poke bowl and we all loved it. Yum! The salmon in the poke bowl is cooked. It was summer so student area was quiet and we weren't sure if it would be open, but it was. The offers are good. If I were local I would visit often

Don't order here, the food is terrible. The salad was not fresh, chicken also didn't seem freshly made. The sauce was watered down. The rice was so dry we needed to mix it with the soup to be able to swallow it. The 'fresh' spring rolls were also terrible and chewy, nothing at all like the real ones in Vietnam. We threw most of the food away. If you just go to Lidl and get chicken burgers with some rice, you'll have 10x better food for 4 euros instead of 40 euros.

Food was very bad. Ingredients not fresh. Chicken in the Pho was chewy. Rice was dry and the crispy chicken also not good at all. sweet and sour sauce was watery. Spring rolls were chewy and not very flavorful. I had to throw out most of my food.

Really a shitty company every time they reject orders at the last minute and then you're left without food at 8 o'clock, you bunch of shitty idiots if you can't handle your orders then refuse them right away.

Casual atmosphere with nice, fast service.

A bit meager, 6 leaves of lettuce with dressing from the bottle, two cucumber segments and 1 quarter of a tomato, they call the salad. Add rice and a good piece of fried chicken That's a whole menu, nothing more. Small portions and drinks pricey. Excellent service!

We were visiting a student there and wanted to eat something. The quantity for the price is not acceptable. Way too expensive. The soup was cold and the beef was tough. The taste isn't particularly tasty either

Cozy lunch spot in the TU district.

We went here after reading the many good reviews. Called in advance and there were also plenty of gluten-free options. Things went wrong with the starter, so I checked the sauce and sure enough...not gluten-free. Okay that can happen. Main course the beef salad and fried onions on top. This was resolved immediately after reporting. But during dinner quite a few stray fried onions were discovered. Then you don't understand! Do you have allergies? Then definitely don't eat here! Saves you a lot of misery..... In short, the snacks were surprisingly tasty, but the main courses were poor, also from the other table companions. With the rice with crispy chicken, the piece of chicken might have been enough for a child, but not for an adult. And the AH sells better ones ;-). The noodle soup with chicken and beef was also nothing special. The service was very friendly and helpful! And there was nice music on.

Honestly this is great place for casual food, they have special discounts, they have many choices, and the food is prepared with care, the boss/chef even works on weekends serving half-prijs dishes. So I have to rate 4/5 for the food and environment. But what I experienced today with the restaurant waitress lady is pure humiliation. - 1st encounter: I request to order because I have a really low blood sugar (hypo). Even though I am waiting for a friend. I said: I don't mean to be rude to my friend (because they know my issue), and she responded in whisper: "it's a little rude, but it's your friend not mine..." "Anyway, what do you want?" ... I finished my order. -2nd encounter: My friend arrived, she request to order now, she raised her menu card and point to a dish, terriyaki was maybe hard to pronounce: "May I have this one please", waitress lady looked down at my friend: "what 'this one' ?" full of distain and contempt... So I interrupted her and explained that her attitude is awful, I don't think she really respect us. She has her own defence saying there is a reflection on the menu, blah blah, but that is irrelevant to the attitude she shown. Since attempting to awaken someone feigning sleep is futile, I can only walk out of this restaurant and would hesitate to ever come back again. But I feel that I have to acknowledge the chefs (I have seen 2, and one even helps waiting tables when busy) for their hard work, and give them some insights on the business. Maybe 50-off discount and weekend openings are not the pain point...

I had the beef pho soup. I liked it and I was very full! Luckily you don't get a small bowl of soup. For starters I had Korean crispy chicken and gyoza. I thought that was a bit low for the price, but it was tasty. On certain days they have special offers for dishes. That really makes a difference! I will definitely come back 😊 People are very nice and friendly there!

as a student i go to this restaurant almost everyday. Cheap and nice food and you get rice, pho, burger etc. There is discount for one type of dish everyday.

Had to wait an hour for a drink then after 1.5 hours our order was lost. It was far too busy with takeaway and home delivery, so the guests in the restaurant were not served. Very unfortunate because the food reviews were good, but we left after 1.30 pm. Bad thing. If your core business is home delivery, you have to close the restaurant or vice versa if there are not enough staff.

waiting here for more than one hour with my baby， nobody serve us even we call them twice. The attitude of the waiter was bad and not friendly at all. This is my first time to leave bad review and I DONT recommend this place at all！so disappointed!

Came here to eat multiple times, and was greeted with amaizing food and service every single time, no matter what choice of food I made! The restaurant was spacious and nicely decorated, and the service was always fast, the servers even offering personal recommendations in case the customer is unsure. This restaurant is quite crowded at meal time so I had to wait, But you won't be disappointed, it's beyond my expectation, I enjoyed chicken rice I'll be back the next time

Hangout always provide the best quality both on food and service. I enjoy the atmosphere and really feel cozy there. If there is a sports match or event, it will be full of energetic people. The staff are friendly and if you have some issues with the food, they care kindly. Even one time, without any complaints from my side, they found out I didn't like something and offered me a discount. I love this place and I always felt good there.

Burger was very average, absolutely nothing special. The grilled chicken with rice was really sub-standard.. would not be surprised if it was actually a microwave meal from a supermarket. Quite overpriced for the quality you're getting.

Nice place, but they're very understaffed.

I was one of the early customers maybe that's the reason I saw only one person serving. The ambience is great. However, coming to the food which was a disappointment. The ginger tea tasted nothing but hot water and the poke bowl was bland. There was no flavor and the vegetables in the bowl were not fresh. The crispy chicken was the only factor that made it edible. The rice was overcooked and didn't have any flavour. Overall, it was disastrous. I would recommend the cafe labs, the restaurant next door over this place.
