Very cozy and centrally located between the train station and the beautiful city center

We both ordered the burger with fries. The burger was a standard, run-of-the-mill burger with a salad cucumber instead of a pickle, nothing special. The fries tasted like they'd been fried two or three times. We've had much better ones in the Netherlands. A real shame, considering the price. The dessert was delicious and plentiful. Friendly service, pleasant atmosphere, clean restrooms.

Very cozy interior. Large portions, good value for money, also perfectly fine. All in all, highly recommended.

Actually, nothing to add. Coffee and cake in the morning, and lunch again in the afternoon. The atmosphere was lovely, and the service friendly and easygoing. We will be back.

Tasty lunch! It was very busy due to the Old Veluwe Market, but the staff did their best to take orders quickly, and the lunch arrived fast too. That was nice for us, but also for the many people waiting for a table. The lunch was delicious, good quality, tasty filled omelet, and good bread. The hot meat sandwich was also very tasty!

We had a delicious meal on Christmas Day with 5 people; a cozy location, beautifully decorated for the holidays, tasty food, friendly staff, prompt service—actually mostly positives. One negative point: a cocktail we ordered with Dutch shrimp. Unfortunately, we did not receive it; Norwegian shrimp were used instead. That was quite a letdown.

Based on the reviews, we chose this restaurant for lunch, but unfortunately, it was very disappointing. Regarding the food, we may have chosen the wrong day. The Carpaccio sandwich turned out to be stale and soggy. This was because the Carpaccio was placed on the bread as a thick lump and may have thawed. The fried egg was overcooked, which made the taste disappointing. A portion of fries we ordered as a side dish was mealy. Otherwise, the restaurant was atmospheric, clean, and tidy. The staff was also friendly and the service was prompt.

We had a fantastic meal! The meat was prepared perfectly, standard vegetables were available, and the salad was tasty. The children enjoyed their meal too and received a small gift to take home.

It was really delicious; we were with a group of 14 people and everything went really well! We had two large tables, so everyone had more than enough room. Even the “picky eaters” loved it. So, really very good. Nice atmospheric shots on the TV, and when a guest asked for something, it was looked up immediately. Very happy with it! Will definitely go there again…

We received 4 dirty glasses with the bottle of Spa Red. These 4 dirty glasses still contained fruit pulp and other dirt. We sent these 4 glasses back. Then we received another 4 dirty glasses with fruit pulp still on them. We sent those back as well. After that, we finally received! 4 clean glasses. The carpaccio was not good. It had long white threads in it. There was also onion and croutons (for soup) on top of the carpaccio. A very strange combination. This was not mentioned on the menu either. We visited here for the first time after the musical and will not be going back.

We ate there on April 17, 2026. We went to the musical 40 45 that evening. They had a special menu for musicalgoers. Plenty of choice. Nice, relaxed, friendly atmosphere with attentive and friendly hospitality.

We had a pleasant afternoon with a group in the "lounge". (The old snack bar) The space is decorated in a very atmospheric way, and the service was excellent. Very friendly staff.

The best you can find in this area. I recommend everyone go here. It's only a 15-minute drive from the campsite in Voorthuizen to here, and there are plenty of parking spaces. Service at its best. And enough room for everyone. If there isn't any room left, just ask for their second place a little further down the street. Also a super place and location.

We had a reservation at De Hebberd, and it was a good thing we did, because the place was packed. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly, and the service remained attentive and efficient throughout the evening, creating a pleasant atmosphere at the table. There were four of us, and overall, the food was tasty. The tuna steak really stood out: perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, my choice, the spareribs, was a bit of a letdown. As a spareribs enthusiast, I have a clear preference for meat that is so tender it almost falls off the bone by itself. That was not the case here. I had the sweet version, but the flavor was quite neutral and the meat was still quite stuck to the bone, meaning I really had to pull at it. What all three of us particularly missed with the main courses were the vegetables. The three roasted tomatoes felt a bit meager and did not meet our expectations as a vegetable garnish. We also had dessert, which we had already hesitated about beforehand due to the price. In hindsight, we should have listened to that feeling. The dessert was not bad, but certainly not special enough to justify the price. All in all, a pleasant evening with good service and some successful dishes, but there is still room for improvement regarding the balance on the plate and the price-quality ratio.

We had a nice meal here. The terrace is divided into a smoking and a non-smoking section. We found the atmosphere a bit less appealing compared to other restaurants; the terrace is very open with many tables. The food is tasty and the staff is friendly. Dog-friendly. Paid parking is a 5-minute walk away. Clean toilets.

Excellent service. The waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful with everything. She even found solutions for my toddler with feeding issues. It is a perfect spot for train lovers, by the way. My 2-year-old train enthusiast felt right at home so close to the tracks.

After seeing the musical "40-45" on Boxing Day, we thought we wouldn't have anywhere to eat. No problem at De Hebberd, which, despite being full, still had room for us. The food was delicious, and we were even allowed to choose the Christmas menu.

I was frozen solid, only had a main course, and quickly left. My Christmas Day dinner was somewhat ruined, as my 85-year-old mother could barely walk from the cold.

I had made a reservation in advance, we got a table for two near the stairs to the toilets, and people who arrived later without a reservation could sit anywhere, which we found very strange, so they gave us the free choice of sitting anywhere, in any case not near the stairs to the toilet

Despite the hustle and bustle surrounding the musical on Saturday evening, we still had a lovely, peaceful meal in the newer section, which was much quieter than the old one. Albert and the new owner's son, Robin, were the caring hosts who always came to chat with us Barneveld residents, making you feel seen and welcome! After the NederlandZingtDag (Dutch Singing Day) at the Midden Nederland Hallen, we settled in here. What a cozy restaurant! The staff were exceptionally friendly. The warm nachos as a starter, the main course "chicken on a stick," the goat cheese salad, the chicken salad, and the desserts were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
