The Mix in Oud-Zuid

We were a group of 26 guests for the concert at De Oosterpoort, and everything was truly excellent. Good quality, beautifully presented, pleasant service, and attentive to our dietary preferences. Highly recommended, and honestly, I don't understand the relatively low ratings. We'll be back!

The food was surprisingly good, but the service was unfortunately disappointing. First, they forgot to include fries and salad with one dish. We had to ask for them several times, it took ages, and we ended up canceling dessert to avoid being late for the concert.

We had an unexpectedly delicious meal before the Kingfishr concert. I wrote "unexpected" because I didn't have any expectations beforehand, booking purely for the practicality. But: a delicious meal, very pleasant and quick service 🎉. We'll definitely be back for the next concert 😎

I went to The Mix in Groningen and opted for the chef's four-course surprise menu (€40 per person). I liked the idea: giving the chef free rein makes the experience more dynamic. Two of the four dishes impressed me positively, well-balanced and tasty; the other two, while beautifully presented, weren't quite my cup of tea. The value for money is good if you choose this menu, especially if you arrive hungry: the portions don't disappoint. The atmosphere is quiet and refined, and the service was friendly, if a little slow. An interesting experience, which I would recommend to those who love trying new flavors and aren't afraid to be surprised (for better or worse).

Made a reservation last week for 6 p.m., before an 8 p.m. performance. Relaxed atmosphere, pleasant attentive service. Good options for vegetarian, fish, and meat dishes on the menu. Served right on time, delicious dishes paired with a nice glass of wine. There was still plenty of time for dessert and coffee. We were very satisfied.

We thought: let's do it this time, grab a bite to eat at The Mix before a show at the Oosterpoort. What a pleasant surprise! The food was truly delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!! #rodepoon #lamsrump

We had dinner here as a family before Christmas, we were there at 17:15 because we had to be in the main hall at 19:30. There were some dietary requirements that had to be taken into account, which was also indicated at the bottom of the menu that this was possible and my father had called about it. Once at the table it was very difficult, one of us follows a strict diet so she was forced to go with us to the chef to see what was possible, with great difficulty he went to see what he could do but it was clearly a burden. A little later the manager comes to the table to say that in principle she could not do anything for us in terms of dietary requirements other than duck breast. So there was no starter and only duck breast as a main course. There was a lot of time between the courses, which is why the desserts were skipped in the end because we didn't have to eat a dessert at 19:25. The manager had removed the dessert from the bill and as compensation we could get a cup of coffee, very nice but in what time. I thought it was a lot of hassle and next time I will go to a restaurant that DOES take dietary requests seriously.

Main courses, asparagus with salmon and prawn salad, were good but not special. Dessert, Eton mess, was a downer. The card said; Menardi strawberries, meringue and whipped cream. However, it was a large amount of heavy whipped cream, a little meringue and four halves of strawberries. We were looking forward to this dessert, but it was a disappointment. After reporting it, the lady said that she could imagine this, but there was no further action. Very unfortunate. Had a nice evening at Son Mieux.

Delicious food and ideal if you are going to a concert, it is right next to the entrance to the main hall of the Oosterpoort.

Not my menu... but very friendly staff. The atmosphere is great, but more because you have a music evening ahead of you than because the restaurant is so atmospheric.

There were 4 things on the menu as a main course. There are pretty much only things for a vegan/vegetarian. I opted for the ribeye, it was very good, a bit small, but hey, it's still a ribeye. It comes with fries and salad, but you share them if you are with someone, then it is quite little. It was very busy and there was also loud music playing, which I thought could have been a bit quieter. All in all a great place but if you are a fussy eater maybe not the best place

Had very severe food poisoning after eating here. We were also contacted about this, but unfortunately no serious response was given. My advice is not to eat here!

FOOD POISONING!! NB! I ate here on Feb 2, 24 and ordered the crayfish in bao bun. Luckily I was the only one at the table who ordered that because I got my worst food poisoning ever. Worse than my food poisoning in Cuba. I was really on the verge of going to the doctor's office at night. I'll spare you the details but now, almost a week later, I still have sore stomach muscles from how hard everything came out.

Excellent food, nice restaurant. Service is friendly and very attractively decorated. However, it would be easier if you could already hang your coat in the wardrobe. Now you stand in line after dinner.

I haven't eaten this well in a long time! Everything was exceptionally good. Friendly staff, smooth service. 3-course menu for a very reasonable price. Especially when you consider the high quality of the food.

Food good, service good, atmosphere good. It is special that paying in cash is not possible because it is legal tender. Fortunately, there was someone who wanted to pay by card and we were able to pay the person back in cash It was nice that this was said in advance.

Idd 3 stars: i.e. reasonable but not special. Friendly service. Starters fine. Main courses mediocre: steaks on skewer tough and slightly overcooked. Bacon and bread in Cesar salad on the weak side. Inie mini wine glasses not even half full VOO 6 euros: that could be better!

I had dinner here on October 25th. I was quite skeptical beforehand, given the reviews and the lack of photos on Google Maps. However, this turned out to be completely unjustified. I didn't get around to taking pictures either, but it was very nice and cozy and not too crowded. The menu was a bit on the short side, printed on one A4 sheet, but there were enough options for us. Vegan, vegetarian, but also a tasty steak skewer. Even the vegetarian bacon in the Caesar salad was very tasty! If you feel like reading a menu that will take you longer than the average novel, this is certainly not the place for you, but if you are attending an event and want to have something to eat there, it is definitely recommended here to go (make a reservation)!

As far as I'm concerned, the worst thing I've seen on a plate in a long time. 21.95 for an exceptionally bad Cesar salad and the same amount for a soggy beetroot hamburger. Unsellable merchandise for that amount.

We hebben hier gegeten voorafgaand aan een concert - het eten was goed (sommige sausjes waren net niet helemaal mijn smaak, maar verder was alles uitstekend!), de sfeer en bediening prima, en er was zelfs een paar vegan opties die prima bevielen. Aan te raden dus!

Duurde allemaal vrij lang maar het eten was heerlijk! Ik had de falafel, een aanrader. De messen zijn overigens mega bot, kon amper mijn eten er mee snijden.. zeer irritant. De menukaart is niet erg groot, wel redelijk betaalbaar. Het was een praktische keuze voor ons concert en om die reden zou ik er misschien wel weer eten.

Een leuke eetgelegenheid direct grenzend aan de ontvangsthal van SPOT. We aten er wat voorafgaand aan een concert. Reserveren is dan wel aan te raden. We zagen hoe mensen die niet gereserveerd hadden geen plek kregen. De menukaart is niet heel uitgebreid maar met een tiental voorgerechten en een vergelijkbaar aantal hoofdgerechten is er voldoende te kiezen. Je bekijkt hem vooraf via de website. De zalmtartaarburger en de hamburger smaakten in ieder geval prima. Ook de chardonnay was heerlijk vol en rond. Last but not least, was de bediening er erg vriendelijk. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar bij een volgende concert.

The Mix Hier gegeten omdat we die zelfde avond een evenement hadden in de Oosterpoort. Na een goede ervaring bij het restaurant de Melkweg in Amsterdam. Na het eten werden we begeleid naar de zaal en hoefde we dus niet in de rij te wachten voor de zaal. En dus hier gereserveerd met de zelfde verwachting. Om 18;30 werden we naar onze tafel begeleid en na een kwartier kwam iemand langs om de drankjes op te nemen, maar pas nadat we hadden aangegeven dat we nog niet geholpen waren. Keuze was minimaal, maar we hebben een prima burger kunnen bestellen. Burger was leuk opgemaakt en smaakte goed. Maar de burger werd op tafel neer gekwakt en raakte onze bier glazen. Hierna snel afgerekend en in de rij gaan staan van onze zaal. Wat niet verwacht was, want waarom anders hier gaan eten als je niet naar de zaal begeleid word. Eten was prima, maar de service laat veel te wensen over
