Delicious high tea. Friendly service.

We had lunch here after our wedding with a total of 11 people. The service was fast and efficient, and the food was good. The menu has something for everyone, and the dishes are all generously sized and of good quality. We had some dietary requirements, and they were all well-catered for. Thanks!

Very slow service on a day without crowds, despite having plenty of waiters and the fact that some of them were wearing earpieces. ??? They try to act fancy but don’t live up to it. Long waiting time to take the order, long waiting time for the drinks to arrive, and on top of that it was spilled on the table while being served.

Great restaurant, great service, also suitable for strollers

+ Ample and attentive service on the crowded terrace. The women looked like they'd been scouted by a modeling agency; all dressed up in suits and heavy makeup. A few young women who didn't speak Dutch were wearing leather suits, so they were wearing a few "flip-flops." + Excellent coffee and pastries, accompanied by a glass of water without complaint. -/- Then we opted for the Sicilian rosé; a fine wine, but very sparsely poured; just a small amount, and that for €6 a glass! We quickly left after that to have a decently poured glass elsewhere, for less money.

I've been here occasionally over the past few months. It often has a rather posh atmosphere; I personally prefer a more homely atmosphere, but the food and drinks are always excellent. Most recently, I was there for a party in a separate room. Reservations were made for a group, including one wheelchair user. We'd also requested a screen to play a video. Upon arrival, we asked a staff member where we were supposed to go, as there was no signage. "I don't know," was the response. So we asked how we found out, and again, "I don't know." No further greeting or anything. He went to inquire and came back with the message that we needed to go to the first floor. We asked how we could help the wheelchair user upstairs, but he didn't know either. He then fetched another staff member, and we repeated the question to them. This staff member didn't seem to care that one of our colleagues was completely sidelined. He shrugged his hands and shoulders and also said "I don't know." When we asked how we were seated in a room on the first floor, even though there's no elevator and we'd specifically booked for a group with a wheelchair user, we were met with the usual "I don't know, I don't handle reservations." Eventually, a colleague found another staff member, and we came up with a solution. It wasn't exactly convenient, but at least we could sit together. The snacks were fine, and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. We ended up being spread out over several small tables due to the relocation, but the snacks were on fewer plates, leaving one table without any. We distributed them on a napkin, which solved the problem. We all had a great time, but the nonchalant attitude (you almost felt like you had to apologize for being there and for someone in a wheelchair) really put a dampener on the party. Mistakes happen, but try to be a little prudent. It's incomprehensible how they reacted, both as hospitality staff and simply as people. It's a beautiful location and I hope they've learned something from this situation so that next time something like this happens, things will go better for those people.

19 euros for 2 Weizen. I understand that prices have gone up, but this is absolutely ridiculous. In the store, you pay a maximum of 2 euros, and there's a margin on that. I'll be sitting on a patio somewhere else from now on.

Simply a good place to eat, have a drink, or have a party in the centre of Groningen.

Very small and too expensive beef tartare made from cold ground beef, rather than properly chopped meat. Didn't have any capers, onions or other traditional ingredients. Burger was equally a waste of time and somewhat tough/not tender and with a weird sauce combination. The french fries were excellent and a good selection of beers. This is definitely NOT Dutch cuisine. Weird mix of various world regions.

Pensamos en probarlo porque era nuestra última noche visitando a nuestros queridos amigos. El Rumpsteak, normalmente en los Estados Unidos es un asado que se cocina durante horas. Este filete era extremadamente duro, no estoy seguro de por qué salsa holandesa con servir con esta carne, aparte de tratar de cubrir la dureza. El plato de pescado blanco apenas estaba caliente y parecía que parte no estaba cocinado 100% pescado tibio no es atractivo. El servicio era pobre, los platos no se recogieron y la comida no se presentó muy bien. Gracias a Dios nuestra visita de amigos fue maravillosa.

A very meager club sandwich for 15 euros. Three slices of casino white bread and a few chips. That really needs to improve.

We had high tea yesterday, which was quite good, though we had to pay a small fee, one for each of us. When we arrived, we were asked if we wanted a drink (special name), which we did, but they didn't tell us if it was included in the price. Later, during the high tea, they did tell us what was and wasn't included. When it was time to pay, it turned out the special drink cost €7.50!! We thought that was quite a lot. We didn't ask the price or whether it was included. So, in the future, ask here if it's included or not, and if not, what the price is. €7.50 per glass... .

Bediening geen contact mee te krijgen, lopen je steeds straal voorbij. Sfeerloze inrichting, niet passend bij het oude pand. Muziek ook niet passend bij het pand, rustige jazz of klassiek zou passender zijn. Ga hier niet weer heen.

Today a high tea with my beloved. After waiting for more than an hour a measly triangle with some food finally arrived on the table with the man a small piece of quiche two pieces of bread (a brown bun divided by 4) with a difficult name which later turned out to be just hummus. On top of that two scones which were certainly not fresh (probably straight from the hanos) and as a topper three very small sweets with as the icing on the cake a sweet with a chocolate Christmas tree on it on January 15th (how fresh) And all this for €25.50 per person. In a word scandalous If you don't know what a high tea should be like, don't put it on the menu

Ordered a burger and fries for two. Got two burgers and fries for 1 person. Interior hasn't been updated since 1990 it seems, it could use an update. Service was mediocre. Drinks took a long time and we had to ask twice to pay.

Nice place when you spend a day in Groningen.

Unfortunately, nothing pleasant Feithhuis about. Modern and coldly decorated, but that is personal. Lunch wasn't great, sandwich was dry. Unfortunately, I hear this more often. So look for another place.

The food was very good and quickly to the table. We ordered two glasses of wine and only the bottom part was filled. However, during the retake it turned out that it was really the normal amount. The staff was very friendly. Had a nice evening!

A fantastic spot just outside the hustle and bustle, yet still very central. Excellent food, super friendly service, and a very pleasant interior! Definitely worth a visit.

Last Saturday afternoon, we popped into Feithuis for a late lunch. No one took notice of us as we searched for a suitable spot. We finally settled in the bar area. There were plenty of staff, but even then, we were ignored. However, there was plenty of time for conversation. Meanwhile, we were also starting to get annoyed by the loud music, which made conversation difficult. Time passed until I managed to make eye contact with a waitress. When I commented on the long wait, the response was that it was very busy. An excuse, as we'd noticed the staff were mostly occupied with themselves. We ordered drinks and asked for the menu, which was brought promptly, but the wait began again. When I finally caught someone's attention, the answer was that he'd be right there. The young man then walked past us again without a glance. Later, we saw him again on the street by the window. Finally, a colleague of his took our order and, at our request, turned the music down a bit. We had a similar experience at your lovely establishment a year or two ago. However, my wife convinced me to have lunch at the Feithhuis again, which resulted in the experience described above. We'll try again in two years and hope to experience true hospitality then.

Op de menukaart staat “heeft u dieet wens of allergie geef het aan ons door” Wat er niet staat is: we kunnen een kruisbesmetting niet uitsluiten. Toch essentieel bij een allergie. Bij een allergie is het niet een vraag bij hoeveel wordt je ziek maar is het zeker dat je ziek wordt bij de minste of geringste besmetting. Kruisbesmetting is voor een professional eenvoudig uit te sluiten maar je moet wel willen.

We, two sisters from Brabant, love eating at Feithuis and make reservations for every evening we spend in Groningen. The food is delicious, the staff incredibly friendly, and the way they accommodate allergies is unparalleled. It's also a treat to enjoy a drink on the pleasant terrace in the afternoon. We'll definitely be back next year!

Highly professional staff, very pleasant and smooth communication. We enjoyed a delicious (yet competitively priced!) three-course meal for our nearly 30 guests, preceded by drinks on the terrace under the tree, followed by a small reception and party in the beautiful Stadszaal (city hall). We and our guests thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and I'd especially like to thank Aileen, Jesper, and Vincent. They really went the extra mile to make us feel at home and ensure our party ran smoothly. Kudos!

Zeer professionele medewerkers, hele prettige en vlotte communicatie. We hebben hier gebruik gemaakt van een verrukkelijk (maar toch scherpgeprijsd!) driegangen menu voor onze bijna 30 gasten, deze werd voorafgegaan door een fijne borrel op het terras onder de boom en na afloop nog een kleine receptie en feest in de prachtige stadszaal. Onze gasten en wijzelf hebben enorm genoten, speciaal wil ik bedanken Aileen, Jesper en Vincent. Zij deden écht dat beetje extra om ons thuis te laten voelen en ons feestje stressvrij te laten verlopen. Alle lof!

I have already had lunch here on the terrace. I was able to sit here comfortably with a beautiful view of the square. I had ordered the Pastrami sandwich, I did not find it very tasty. I did not think the price-quality ratio was completely in hand. However, the service was great. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great food, drinks and service!

Yesterday, the two of us went to this lovely restaurant. We sat outside on the terrace, a quiet location yet still in the center of the action. The food (rump steak) was delicious, beautifully presented, and absolutely reasonable in price. The service was also very friendly. We really enjoyed it and can recommend the restaurant.

Nice ambience and decent food. Nothing to clamor about, but nothing to complain either. The waiters are very friendly. The only downside was that all the windows were open because it was a sunny day. And I could still smell cigarette from our table, which was very far from the windows.

Delicious food, top restaurant!

Had lunch with four people on the terrace of Het Feithuis in Groningen. A wonderfully quiet place in the middle of the city center. All four of us ate for twelve hours. Well maintained, friendly, fast and correct service! We will definitely come back here!!!

Adorable place, great location, great vibe, nice service.

The vegan croquettes were delicious. The sandwiches on the bread board were very small. Each menu item has 1 vegan item. This selection may be expanded. The atmosphere on the terrace was good. The service was smooth and very friendly. Almost the entire terrace is easily accessible by wheelchair. You will occasionally have to ask someone to move up. There is gravel near the low tables and this can be difficult. Inside, there are excellent plates over the steps, making the restaurant and toilets accessible. Some indoor slopes require some strength. The accessible toilet is attractive, just like the regular toilet, and spacious by Dutch standards. There was a large mirror. Very nice, but it can also get in the way when you try to maneuver your wheelchair. I assume that employees are willing to remove them upon request. But it's better if you don't have to ask for it.

Great service, nice place. But our lunch dishes had very little taste. For the price I expected better food.

I had the “runderburger”, it had great texture and the meat was good, but the sauce was used way too much and was way too sweet, the jalapenos also did not help the taste of the burger. It is still a solid option if you order it without jalapenos and less to no sauce.

King's Day 2024. It has been a tradition for 20 years to have the hangover breakfast after King's Night. But what a deception. The king's breakfast has been reduced to a simple Italian bun with absolutely nothing on it, but for which you pay the absolute top price. €12.50 for 1 Italian bun with a little bit of lettuce and minimal portion of mozzarella is a complete rip-off. Next year, find a different tradition or at least a different place. Feithhuis always guaranteed 5 stars, but that time is definitely over.

Cappuccino was also available with oat milk.

Nice ambiance and delicious lunch.

The food was... simply great! And we watched with admiration as the waitresses served us along our long tables. We were with a large group. One of the waitress seemed to be dancing. It went so smoothly. And they were also good at remembering who wanted an adjustment. I just thought "How?" 😄.

The food was great, service less so

Today it was Feithuis's turn. We have a Caprese sandwich (€12.50) and pastrami (€13.50). The photos speak for themselves: good quality and large portions. Because we were very hungry, we also opted for the onions and Thai soup for 3 euros each. Very good and tasty addition to your lunch. The coleslaw was also good and served for free upon request. Coffee is good and served with a butter cookie. That's really tasty!! The service is excellent. As a musician I would like to make a small comment: put on better music. Here you are 'houseing away' at Ava Max and Maroon 5. I would choose a more attractive option that fits the atmosphere of the house that was once the Groningen conservatory! Ate here during Valentine's Day, they had created a special menu. However, we opted for al la carte. No problem, had to wait a while for the main course, but it was also very full that evening. And I had a thick tenderloin, perfectly cooked! So it was worth the wait. Super friendly staff and it was no problem at all that we wanted the dessert that was on the Valentine's menu. Definitely recommended for any day, quality culinary delight here. Definitely come back!

Beautiful place at the new market. Had lunch here recently with some friends. Didn't make a reservation, but still managed to get a table. Delicious lunch with a wide choice on the menu. Service was also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come here again! The food is good and the dining room is beautiful.

A very well known restaurant in the center of Groningen. Gorgeous building, redecorated a few years ago. At the back, where the terrace is, it's also possible for wheelchair users to enter. The food is very good and the service very friendly. The ambiance is nice/warm and friendly. There is a fully accessible wheelchair bathroom.

What a wonderful place this is. Good service and very tasty dishes on the menu. Right next to the Forum an ideal place for lunch.

I went for a private event (company celebration). The food served was incredible, and the service first class.

Heerlijk gegeten met kerst, maar de akoestiek is erg slecht. Als er veel wordt gekletst (wij waren met een groot gezelschap) is niet alles te volgen. Voor ons een reden om een volgende keer elders te kijken, ondanks het goede eten en plezierige bediening.

The food is very average. They dont excell at anything. Even the french fries are 'so-so' they have been in the fryer too long. I had the Rumpsteak, odd combination of pumkin, crisps and mashed cauliflower. Just. Overall dissapointing experience.

Afgelopen week een ceremonie georganiseerd in 't Feithhuis. Het personeel was bijzonder vriendelijk en hielp met alles wat we nodig hadden, erg meedenkend. Daarnaast een fijne zaal met een indeling die we van tevoren hadden door gegeven, maar toen we wat wilde aanpassen was dat snel geregeld. Bedankt!

Schitterend pand gelegen aan de nieuwe markt hartje centrum van Groningen. Naast het restaurant en de bar, beschikken ze ook over een mooi groot terras(vrij zicht maar ook afgeschermd). Wij werden hier alleraardigst ontvangen en bediend. De kaart is niet heel groot, maar de gerechten waren voortreffelijk (daarom ook 5 sterren)! Klein minpuntje vind ik het interieur van binnen (had wel iets meer klassiek gemogen).

Sandwich vegan pulled jackfruit

Went here last week for the 3rd time. My mom got very sick that night. I then remembered that the last time I went there my friend got very sick after. I thought the food was ok but I definitely won't be going back. Additionally the service this time was really lacking. I didn't see a smile from anyone and the main guy was actually kind of rude.

Er was wat misverstand over een gerecht, heel lief direct werd het vervangen voor een ander gerecht (wat we wel lusten). We waarderen deze service en lekker gegeten.

Das Essen war nur so lala. Dafür sehr teuer. Außerdem war der beef burger innen noch sehr roh.

Vergadering gehad prima geregeld

Eigentlich wollten wir hier gestern essen, aber nachdem man uns unsere Getränke gebracht hat, wurden wir quasi 30 Minuten ignoriert. Auch Winken oder Fragen wurde zwar gesehen, aber es passierte nichts. Dabei war es zu dem Zeitpunkt relativ ruhig und nicht zuviel Betrieb. Schade.

Prima eten. Bij gerechten iets zuinig maar bij te bestellen dus prima. Sfeer iets minder. Hangt maar 1 ding aan de muur

De bediening viel al tegen: geen welkom of smakelijk eten gewenst. Terwijl er toch 3 dames in de bediening liepen, maar van niemand iets gehoord. De lunch viel tegen, zeker ook de verhouding qua prijs. We kregen een zeer eenvoudige uitsmijter ( die we thuis wel net zo goed kunnen maken ), een club sandwich die niet bijzonder was en een waldkornbol zie zeer karig belegd was. Wel met vijgen er op, maar dat voegde eigenlijk niets toe, vonden we. We hebben besloten hier niet weer te komen, maar de volgende keer ergens anders te lunchen. Jammer.

Nice place in the downtown of Groningen. Worth to try.

Overdag een perfecte plaats voor een borrel en lunch. Na zonsondergang zijn niet alle tafels even geschikt. Het kan er behoorlijk waaien waardoor het fris aanvoelt. Eten prima maar wel aan de prijs.

Prima soort tappa schotel. Met ons 5-en gedeeld. Vlees, kaas, olijven, etc..

Het werd ons onmogelijk gemaakt om hier te dineren. Net voor dat ons hoofdgerecht werd gebracht veranderde de situatie drastisch. Wij zaten aan de rand / hoek van het buitenterras en plots werden we overspoeld door een groep mensen (collega’s) die door de medewerker van t’ Feithuis, genaamd John, met alle plezier wel even naast ons werden neergezet aan 2 hoge sta tafels die er bij werden geschoven. Een groep van zo’n 20 mensen vergaarde zich rondom onze tafel. staand. Omsingeld en beklemt. Had ik hier de hele week naar uitgekeken toen ik met mijn vriend had afgesproken om hier lekker op het terras te gaan eten, na een drukke week. Daar zaten we te midden van ruggen en achterwerken en warrende blikken met ons hoofdgerecht. Nadat we al een half uurtje hadden doorgebracht met een drankje toen alles nog redelijk ging, behalve de zeer gedateerde Cubaanse muziek op de achtergrond. Personeel erbij geroepen, eerst zwaaien, geen communicatie, dan maar zelf van de stoel gaan en over het terras personeel aanspreken. Zie je niet wat hier gebeurd, kan dit anders ? Wij willen zo niet eten. Geen oplossing, medewerkers, 2 verschillende wisten niet wat te doen, misschien binnen ? Ja leuk met dit zonnige weer en hoezo. Wij zaten hier toch al. Of stond die groep hier al die tijd al en heb ik die niet gezien ? Ben ik gek ? Het ergste is ‘John’ de manager of bedrijfsleider of iets wat daar voor door gaat. Geen enkele compassie geen enkel begrip, wel hele grote ogen opzetten en zeggen dat je bij hem had moeten komen om probleem te melden. Oh wij hadden elf moeten werken ? Wij kwamen niet om te genieten van een etentje ? Wij moesten de situatie onder controle houden, dat was onze taak? Maar waar was John de bedrijfsleider? Die stond met een grote glimlach en zonder blikken of blozen de drankjes te noteren voor de grote imponerende zeer storende groep mensen die met hun kont bijna op mijn eten zaten. Excuses, nee daar hadden ze nooit van gehoord. Feithus, 3 x niks. Fake horeca!

Niets bijzonders....via de voorkant naar het terras aan de achterzijde. Tafels onder de bomen...bediening niet echt vlotjes, weinig tot geen interactie tussen gast en medewerker. Prijs en kwaliteit...vond het gebodene niet bijzonder... Burgers niet echt geweldig...simpel opgemaakt. Koffie was daarentegen prima.. Nee, kom er niet snel terug... Er is voldoende alternatief...
