The Nacho Bar in Binnenstad

Mooie inrichting en gezellig, maar de kwaliteit van de cocktails vond ons gezelschap maar zozo. Fancy namen, mooi geserveerd, maar smaak bleef wat achterwege. Bediening was vriendelijk en sharing was ok.

The portions of nachos are suddenly only 1/3 of what they were before. Super overpriced for current quantity.

Because I was in Tilburg for a night, we also went out for dinner there. A friend of mine had seen this restaurant before and was curious about it. When we arrived, a woman at the bar said that we could choose a spot for 2 because we had made a reservation. We walked further into the restaurant to look for a seat but were stopped. There was a queue also for reserved ones, so we had to go back and wait to be picked up. We thought that was a bit special, but they apologized because there was not good communication, so it was fine. The restaurant is decorated in a very funny way. It's super cozy, you're in a kind of jungle. We ordered a cocktail and it also looked good, completely decorated with flowers like the restaurant itself. The taste of the cocktail was also good. The staff is also very friendly, my table was sticky and a cloth was immediately brought and an apology was offered. I deliberately say 'obviously' because apart from the friendliness, the service was somewhat lacking in terms of speed. We ordered a plank to share. This took quite a while, but it turned out that an error had been made with the order and we still received it. The taste of the snacks was excellent. It was also largely fried, so there's little you can do wrong with that. After this platter we were still hungry so we ordered 2 more dishes to share. The dish we actually wanted was no longer available so we went for the vegetarian version, which was also fine in terms of taste. It did consist of 1 piece (it was a kind of croquette) so how you should share it was a question for me. We also didn't get any cutlery or napkins, so cutting was not an option. Since there were all kinds of things such as pieces of tomato and spring onion around the snacks that it would be a shame not to eat, we asked for cutlery. There is a kind of cylinder on the table that is white or red in color. Red if you want service, white if you're ok. Yet it has been red several times, when someone from the service walked by to bring something somewhere and then walked back to the bar or kitchen without coming to us. I also saw this at other tables. In my opinion, such a light makes little sense. After the snacks we wanted dessert. If you can't choose, they have a dessert that includes both the cheesecake and the brownie, which seemed perfect to us. We also decided to share this one and if it wasn't enough, we could always order a second one. This dessert, like all the other snacks, also took a very long time (while there were few people eating, but many people around us were just drinking beer, the beer is apparently only 1 euro). What was really nice was that we got the dessert on the house without complaining about it. I must also honestly say that if that had not been the case, I would not have come back, because all in all I thought the service was mediocre. The food was fine, but as I indicated, there is little to spoil it. Now I might come back, but I think I would rather have a cocktail and a snack than come here for dinner again. Our clothes smelled like fries when we got home, so sitting there and then going into town is not an option. Legend: 1) Terrible! I don't recommend it, I will never come back! 2) Too bad, below my expectations, I won't come again. 3) Ok, nothing wrong with that, but nothing special, nice for once. 4) Fine, worth coming back. 5) Excellent! I recommend, I will definitely come back!

Amazing staff!! The girls are super happy to help with anything! We visited on Monday the 20th of October and your staff could not have been more helpful kind and patient, we really appreciated their efforts throughout the meal We will be back:)!

Totally overpriced and the drinks are not that good, full of ice too. The food is okay but not worth the price. The service is super slow and rude. Also they constantly lie about needing a reservation to get in when in fact you don’t even need one. They just do this to seem more demanded than they actually are. Absolutely cringe. Never again

Cocktails were really delicious. Staff was not hospitable, no words actually came out. When paying, no thank you or have a nice evening (probably because we didn't leave a tip) and I just didn't run away, even though I still wanted the receipt.

Looks nice inside, but staff are nearly all college kids. Had dinner here but had to wait for 1 hour to actually get food. They only had 1 cook in the kitchen for a Saturday night rush hour. I wouldn't eat here if you are actually hungry or have more to do later in your evening.

1€ beer is nice but the waiting time for snacks was too long

Price-quality was not bad, but we had to wait a very long time before we were helped. There was also 10 minutes between the first and last person who received our food. Finally, the dessert was not tasty and of mediocre quality according to my friends.

The drinks were no cheap and most of the glass was filled with ice! What a scam. The place is pretty but the service was not good. They set a lot of restrictions about consumption due to the hour and the amount of people and the payment method. We were just able to take 1 drink each and no food... And they were rude, almost kick us out because they said we were talking too loud.

A mixed experience at this restaurant. A number of staff members visibly did their best (some less so), but we still had to wait a long time for drinks to be served. I didn't find the food convincing. For me, the nacho dish lacked good seasoning and the only flavor that dominated was sweet, due to the lump of topping and sauce. I found the pulled beef and shrimp disappointing in terms of taste. Very flat in taste and not what you expect from this product. I thought the fried dishes were a lot better, but certainly not spectacular. Of course it remains a personal opinion and other people may like it, but this was not for me.

We came from the north of the country for a great concert on Tuesday evening, and we had a delicious meal at another restaurant before the concert. We were also there on Wednesday and of course had to eat something in the evening, we ended up at the nacho bar. The food was delicious, the place looked beautiful. The service was great, the cocktails not only looked beautiful, but also tasted delicious! You can also get a beer there for 1 euro.

Nice meal. The Mexican beef burger was great! Just like the ribs and the surf and turf nachos. Nice atmosphere on the Heuvelplein. It was busy and we had to wait a while. Minus point: the tables were not cleaned. Friendly staff

Never again wil I eat here again. Staff is very slow. 🐌🐌 Ordered some drinks and had to wait 25 minutes before they we're on our table also the food ordered at 7.45 p.m. and on our table 8.50. We didn't order another drink because we we're scared it would take them again 25 minutes. If you have to go to a concert would not recommend to eat here

Very bad and disorganized service. We did get a 10% discount, but that didn't make up for the fact that it took 1.5 hours for us to get our food. We had 2 dishes but couldn't taste the difference between them.

In een woord jammer. 0 sterren is niet mogelijk, was best terecht geweest. Lekker met vrienden genieten op roze maandag, begrijpelijk dat het druk is. Wij hadden met 3 mensen gereserveerd bij de nacho bar. 2 van de 3 gerechten die besteld waren, waren op. De nieuwe keuzes die we hadden gemaakt, waren ook op. Alternatieven waren door allergenen niet mogelijk. Meedenken vanuit personeel gebeurde ook niet echt. Hebben ons voorafje opgegeten en zijn ergens anders heen gegaan. Voorafje met nacho's was ook het laatste beetje uit de zak, alleenmaar kruimelsm We snappen dat het drukker is dan normaal met roze maandag. Maar als bijna alle gerechten op zijn, neem dan contact op als er gereserveerd is... heel erg jammer dit.

Ik plaats nooit/zelden een review, maar aangezien deze zaak een gevaar voor de gezondheid vormt voel ik mij genoodzaakt anderen hierover te informeren. Wij hadden allerlei gerechten besteld. Onze kinderen een hotdog - ze namen een hap en spuugden het uit. De hele onderkant van het brood was beschimmeld - groen / zwarte vlekken. Het broodje was zwaar beschimmeld. Ik begrijp niet hoe een keuken dit over het hoofd kan zien als een 5 jarig kind dit wel gelijk ziet en proeft. Kortom - hier niet eten de keuken heeft duidelijk zijn/haar zaken niet op orde.

I never/rarely post a review, but since this case poses a health risk, I feel compelled to inform others about this. We ordered all kinds of dishes. Our kids had a hot dog - they took a bite and spit it out. The entire bottom of the bread was moldy - green/black spots. The bun was severely moldy. I don't understand how a kitchen can overlook this when a 5 year old child sees and tastes it right away. In short - don't eat here, the kitchen clearly doesn't have its affairs in order.

Went for dinner for the first time tonight. Delicious. Very affordable. Very nice atmosphere and the conditions are super friendly. We will definitely come back

Catastrophe. I had to wait an hour for a burger. That is not how it works!!!!

A mess, no overview and no one to keep an eye on the customers. I have even seen customers leave because they were not helped. Waiting an hour for a board of fries that has been ready for 15 minutes and is not delivered, which is of course lukewarm when delivered and a group of young people who do not seem to be able to manage on their own.

Nachos, nachos, nachos! What can I say, a great place to have some nachos! Located in the city center, with a unique tropical ambience, this restaurant is everything! The staff is very helpful and the food is amazing. Plates are quite large and the prices are good.

I am very disappointed in my visit to The Nacho Bar. The service was extremely bad. We waited inside for at least an hour and a half for our food, while there were only two other customers present and it was therefore very quiet. To make matters worse, something went wrong during checkout. I will never come back here, even though the food was tasty

Nachos could use a little more Nacho chips in my opinion, but otherwise great!

Had an awful experience here! Food took long to come, and after we ate, we felt sick. Our stomachs were hurting and we felt like throwing up ALL NIGHT!!! We ordered the portobellos and the nachos with pulled pork. Not to mention the pina colada, which is just coconut juice with ice in it. Not how you make one!! Very expensive and not worth it.

The food was good, but definitely too cold. With 10 people inside, the service already had problems. The decor is very interesting, but the lighting is disappointing and not pleasant or appetizing.

Don’t look any further if you’re into nacho’s and are in Tilburg. This place delivers. Even for a big eater like me, I could find more than enough options. The vegetarian options were nice and there were some good sides to choose from as well.

Delicious food, fast service, fun for young people

The food, atmosphere and styling was good. Unfortunately, something seems to be going wrong with the service. Even though part of the restaurant was cordoned off, the 12 occupied tables and the terrace outside were too much for the service. Almost all tables complained about long waiting times (1 hour or more) and bad fried snacks and nacho plates. Food was ready in the kitchen but was not served. The food was very tasty, but 1 dish was not what was ordered and the other had already cooled down a bit. Service was also friendly.

To eat; no idea, drinking; no idea. On Friday at half past seven someone will come and tell you if you want to leave because it is too busy. Good luck with the business.

A glass popped open just as I was about to take a generous sip of my beer, unacceptable!!! This is attempted murder.

Unfortunately I had to adjust my previous review. Where the only point of criticism was that the nachos were cold, unfortunately there is now little positive to report. Had to ask for a menu ourselves, even though we were given a table. But no one came. Service quite slow. Not really friendly. The menus are worn out, partly illegible.... How can you give this to your customers? Also not thinking: looking for a table for 3 people, no, we had nowhere to sit. Ultimately I suggested putting a stool at a two-person table, which was fine. Cocktails are nicely served here, on a board with all kinds of things around it. Unfortunately, most service boards and such are a bit damaged and worn, because people don't keep their fingers off them. My board was very unstable and my cocktail fell over and over me in no time. Only 1/4 cocktail remained. The glass was neatly taken away, where I thought I would get a new one. Unfortunately, the (almost empty) glass came back with only a new straw in it. Also the floor, which was full of cocktail remains, cinnamon stick and straw, was not dealt with... Also no cloth for my soaking wet pants or arm. So there was no real thinking involved. It also turns out afterwards that we paid for 2 drinks from other people!! Unfortunately, I only received the receipt after payment, so it was not checked together, as it should be. Didn't look at that at the time and came to this conclusion later. more than 15 euros from other people. How can this happen, we only had 1 drink. All in all, this experience was not good.

Tafel gereserveerd telefonische, hier aangekomen komen we aan bij een vieze tafel met een hoop ships op de grond. De tafel kon ze dan wel schoonmaken, maar de vloer kon ze niet aan doen. Cocktail was prima. Glazen kwamen ze nauwelijks ophalen, deze hebben we maar op de bank gezet. We hadden als voorafje brood besteld, dat heeft 45 min geduurd dus zelf maar gevraagd waar het bleef. Het hoofdgerecht duurde ook lang, maar buiten dat hadden we 2 gerechten zonder bonen besteld. En kregen 2 gerechten met bonen gekregen (een met kip waar nauwelijks kip in zat). Hiervoor hebben ze een nieuwe gemaakt. Eind stand had iedereen z’n eten op, behalve ik. Deze terug laten sturen en van de rekening af laten halen. Gaan wel langs de Mac Donalds. De rekening gevraagd. Ze vroeg wel of het verder naar wens was. Netjes aangegeven dat het zwaar was tegengevallen. Hier bood ze haar excuus voor aan en wenste ons een fijne avond. Wij haar ook, maar hier zien ze ons nooit meer terug!

I have never experienced this in my first two times eating at the nacho bar that the wait time and delivery was so bad. We made a reservation at 6 p.m. We didn't eat until around 7:30 PM. While we were able to order drinks and food, no one came to check or come by to take our order. In addition, the food was no longer warm and very watery/wet due to the sauce from waiting.

Drinks were served quite quickly but we waited almost 45 minutes for our food. The food was delicious, but it's a pity that the food arrived very late. We ended up eating it quickly because we were hungry and went straight home shortly afterwards.

Amazing food! After giving feedback the first time I was here, I noticed they implemented it the second time I was there, fantastic! Service is also great, everyone is friendly and the service is quick, even when it's busy. Overall, fantastic experience!

I arrived at 6:50 PM and had to wait a long time to order drinks. While ordering drinks we also ordered food. It was now 8:00 PM and we still have not received our food. There are 3 of us and we ordered 2 burgers and 2 extra things. Unbelieveable. Staff didn't think along, won't come back here again.

Were here at 6:40 pm without a reservation. Even though there was plenty of room, we were not allowed to take a seat because it was “full”. I looked at the website and was able to make a reservation there. When I pointed this out, my wife said she couldn't hire anyone because the kitchen couldn't handle it. I also had a bad experience here last year and thought I would go again, but I was wrong. Never again for me. Everything but customer friendly! Rottent.

Nice place to eat sometime. Good price-quality ratio. Nacho dishes all have the same base, but could be more varied. Now just choose a different topping. Friendly service, but it took twice as long for the dishes to arrive. Point for improvement

Just for the interior you have to walk into The Nacho Bar! Beautiful and attractive catering industry, styled in detail and Insta-worthy. Nice for a drink, but a bite to eat is also definitely worth it! Good value for money. We ate a delicious bowl of nachos which was served by good, quick and friendly service! Very nice to have been here!

Very atmospheric location and nice service with fency cocktails. The food was surprisingly really bad. We had burgers and spare ribs both tasted pretty much microvaved straight from the refrigerator and did not match the pricing.

I am very positive about The Nacho Bar! We were welcomed by super friendly staff and there was a nice atmosphere. The cocktails were nicely presented and matched the theme well. I am also very pleased with the food. Highly recommended!

First of all, I would like to say that I really love eating/making nachos. So when I was planning activities in Tilburg and came across this restaurant, I was immediately sold. The decor is really beautiful and atmospheric. Large bar with palm tree in the middle and the different colors immediately brings you into the Latin American atmosphere. The music was also perfect. Afro hits, Latin American/Spanish music in combination with some quiet Dutch hip hop. AWESOME! We had the vegetarian kebab nacho dish (or something?). Well, a dish that is definitely good enough to share! In terms of service, they have a light on your table in this restaurant. If you turn it over, they will come by to take the food/drink. When we were done, we had placed the legend board on the edge for us to take away. But after we ordered drinks, they weren't brought. So the light, plus the fact that the empty plate was not immediately taken, makes me give it 4 stars. But actually it should be 4.5 haha!

Went here on November 18 and waited 90 minutes for something simple to eat. First we got 2 starters instead of 4. Daanra 60 minutes of nothing. I asked and they went to find out. 30 minutes later again nothing and they said. Oh it's all here. Under a warming lamp where it was already placed when asked. After this there was a discussion in which the staff member thought that we should just wait a while and the other wanted us to pay for what we had had. Bram Laddage sits opposite and got a fries and walked to 013 for a concert. I'm not from Tilburg or the surrounding area, but I won't be coming back here.

Je moet niet te vroeg komen anders is er nog niemand en dat geeft niet een fijne sfeer. Het is wel een tent waar je je fijner voelt met wat mensen om je heen. Maar erg lekker en ook aan te raden

Een ontzettend mooi interieur en een zeer relaxe sfeer. De cheesecake is een aanrader. Ook de bediening is keurig. Je hebt ook plekken waar je rustig kan zitten

Superleuk restaurant. Heel sfeervol met aardig personeel. Op het verzoek voor een andere tafel ivm grootte gezelschap werd meteen ingegaan. Geen probleem. Heerlijk gegeten tegen een zeer schappelijke prijs. Aanrader!

Relaxte sfeer. Ruime indeling met o.a. comfortabele zithoeken. Vriendelijk personeel, vlotte bediening en lekker eten. Je kan door het omdraaien van het lampje op tafel aangeven dat je bediening wenst om bijvoorbeeld drinken bij te bestellen of af te rekenen. De bovenkant van het lampje krijgt een andere kleur als je het omdraait.

Excellent burrito, friendly service. Highly recommended.

zoals altijd, als wij in Tilburg zijn volgt er ook een bezoek aan de Nacho Bar. We komen uit midden Nederland en bij toeval ooit een keer super lekker en leuk gegeten, dus nu is dat ons gebruikelijke ritueel. Dit keer wederom voor een bezoek aan 013 waar Antoon op trad. De sfeer, het eten, de prijs eigenlijk is alles aan de Nacho Bar gewoon leuk en goed. Dus voor ons is het wederom “tot snel”

Meer dan anderhalf uur moeten wachten op ons eten. 1 persoon was ook vergeten. Ten compensatie kreeg hij zijn burger wel gratis !

Nacho's en cocktails waren heerlijk. Vriendelijke bediening, leuke inrichting en aankleding van gerechten/drankjes.

Ik ben hier pas met een vriendin geweest (was er ook al eerder geweest) en het eten was erg goed. De bediening was vriendelijk en de sfeer was goed. Ik vind de inrichting van het restaurant ook erg mooi.

Je zit er echt heerlijk relaxed, de cocktails zijn fantastisch en het eten is geweldig. Ik smijt niet graag met de term perfect maar The Nacho Bar heeft het toch echt wel verdient. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is overigens ook enorm goed. Je zou denken dat je voor cocktails met zulke leuke opmaak en zulke porties met goed eten een ruim prijsje betaald maar ook dat is aangenaam laag. Het restaurant zelf is echt leuk in elkaar gezet qua decoratie en de muziek is ook aangenaam. Niet te hard, niet te zacht. Precies goed. De cocktails worden ook altijd super leuk gedecoreerd en zijn kwalitatief echt goed. De staff is ook super vriendelijk en doet hun uiterste best om je bezoek zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Kortom. Zeker een must-eat als je in Tilburg bent!
