We dined for 2.5 hours. There is a decent variety, especially when it comes to sushi. Many types to choose from, which is a plus. They also have finger foods, some Chinese dishes, and a wok and grill station where you can pick your own ingredients. There are several sauces for the wok, four types of fish, and four types of meat for grilling. They have salads and fish. The food itself was okay. Nothing stood out in taste. Some of the fish and appetizers did not look very fresh, which lowered the experience for me. Fresh fruit was available but the selection was limited. Service was smooth. No waiting time at all. We arrived earlier than our booking and were seated right away. The time started as soon as we got the table, which was fine. The restaurant was also not very busy when we visited. One chef was lively and friendly, which was nice to see. The other chef clearly looked unhappy. Maybe just exhausted. 😅 For the price, I expected more choice. I have been to other all you can eat places in the same price range with much more variety and better presentation. Overall, it is fine if you want a calm all you can eat dinner, but do not expect anything special.

For a very reasonable price, you can eat all you want here. And certainly, the quality is more than adequate. You do have to get your own food and have it cooked/fried, so the service is somewhat lacking. Delicious food and friendly service.

Yesterday, five of us went for dinner for the first time after a day out. The food was fantastic, especially the wok and grilled meats, which were of good quality, taste, and texture. For a buffet, the sushi was excellent and better than average. The buffet was ample and presented in smaller/deep containers to prevent waste. The staff was friendly and helpful. Sometimes, the plates were left untouched. But if something ran out, they immediately arranged for new ones. The biggest drawback is the state of the restrooms, which are old and worn and in poor condition. The chairs also need replacing soon. Everything else was fine, and we enjoyed the evening.

It wasn't busy when I picked it up, so we left quickly.

We regularly go to this Chinese restaurant with our family and now even with 13 people! There is plenty of choice for everyone, from meat to vegetarian and from vegetables to sweets and ice cream. Sushi for the lovers and locally stir-fried or fried vegetables and meat. Everyone enjoys it to the fullest, there is no rush and you know in advance where you stand with the price. Drinks and coffee included.

We always enjoy eating here. Great for larger groups. Fresh preparation is fine. Service very nice. What you can expect from all you can eat. Atmosphere, if you like vintage Chinese restaurant, this is really a winner. Some music would add to the atmosphere 😀

Had dinner tonight. What an arrogant lady who served us. Very unfriendly. No, absolutely not recommended.

Disappointing second visit to the Original Chinese Palace. After a year we decided to visit the buffet restaurant again. It was, like last time, too cold in the restaurant, even though we were prepared with fur-lined vests. There were two mobile heating cabinets, but even that hardly helped. In addition, unfortunately nothing has been done with our previous suggestions. We still had to use the same cutlery and one napkin for the entire visit. We also noticed last year that the chairs, especially the backrests, are extremely worn. These should have been replaced twenty years ago. Furthermore, the toilets are absolutely not up to standard: no wipes to dry your hands (but a bacteria-spreading warm air blower), a leaking toilet bowl (water on the floor), a cistern that fills painfully slowly and worn door handles from another era. The wardrobe also looks like it comes from the 80s. Worn and messy. The floor in the restaurant also stuck unpleasantly to our soles. The food itself had a sufficient supply and the quality was reasonable to good, but the plastic plates clearly need to be replaced. In short, despite a sufficient range of dishes, the ambiance is seriously substandard. Therefore two stars. We hope that next year will be better, but otherwise we will look for an alternative.

If you reserve a table with a large group (10) of people. And you specifically ask for a round table, they are happy to disappoint you even if the desired tables remain empty all evening. You can eat buffet or from the menu. At the buffet there is a grill plate and a wok where they prepare the meat/fish/wok stuff for you while you wait. Not suitable for vampires. The garlic goes liberally over everything. Delicious!

The food was hit and miss. Wide choice of starters including some sushi, the rice of which was a bit dry. The wok could be very tasty but sometimes also a bit tasteless. The grill was better in terms of taste, although the tenderloin tips were a bit on the overcooked side. The buffet was warm and had a wide choice from the 'usual suspects' of Dutch Chinese cuisine. Although with the babi pang gang it was a bit like fishing in the sauce for the meat. Ice creams wide choice and tasty, pastries and tarts were on the dry side. Service was friendly, but was sometimes late collecting the plates. the wok chef was not friendly and could get irritated if the plate was incorrectly indicated or someone did not make way in time for the person who still had to indicate a plate. The atmosphere in the restaurant was busy in the kitchen, but there was a cozy atmosphere in the restaurant where you can clearly recognize the Chinese culture. Even though it is a large restaurant and many tables were empty, they were close together. Also child friendly All in all, not a bad restaurant, not particularly good, but sufficient. Price quality could also be better. So quite average. I will definitely go here again with children, even though there is no play area for the little ones

Had dinner here by invitation with a large group of people. If you have difficulty walking, you don't have to go here. You have to walk a long way to get a seat from the disabled parking space. Most of the food was very average, almost tasteless. For example: Stir-fry with garlic. No taste. In Hazerswoude-Dorp it is very spicy if you ask for garlic. The ice cream was tasty with good whipped cream. Price-quality not good. Would never go here myself.

We hadden een chinese rijst tafel besteld. De tijd tussen de 'rondes' was extreem lang. Andere kwamen veel later binnen en waren al weer weg toe wij nog aan onze hoofd maaltijd moesten gaan beginnen. Een opmerking over gemaakt, geen excuus of niets. Eten was zeer matig, vieze oude en kapotte stoelen, bestek en borden. We komen uit deze stad en kennen het restaurant van al veel langer, het was atlijd redelijk goed, maar na corona trekken ze het eigenlijk niet meer. Verder zeer onvriendelijk 'personeel'. Het duurde zo lang dat onze trek al weg was. Na het hoofdgerecht opgestaan, zonder de rest (ijs en koffie) af te wachten omdat we het spuurzat waren. Er werd niet eens gevraagd waarom we eerder weggingen. We denken dat ze donders goed wisten dat dit allemaal van geen kant klopte. Geen vraag, geen excuus, niets.. Het slechtste restaurant dat we ooit hebben meegemaakt. We komen hier nooit meer.

Het restaurant is gelegen op een mooie plek aan de Zegerplas. De buitenkant ziet er goed uit, maar de binnenkant, inclusief de toiletten, zijn toe aan renovatie. Wij hebben van het lopend buffet gegeten. Het eten was prima en het samenstellen van eigen wok met saus is top. Er waren echter een aantal mensen die erg onhygiënisch gebruik maakten van het lopend buffet. Denk aan het pakken van het eten met blote handen, de vingers aflikken, krabben aan het gezicht en het eten verder met blote handen pakken! Of de toetjes met de hand pakken, de vingers aflikken en vervolgens een vork pakken. Hierdoor kregen wij een vreetschuur beleving. Dit terwijl er echt potentie zit in het restaurant.

We dined here at Xmas eve First off all there were a few heater on and later on turned off due to it was too hot there ( smart ) First the food was very good Torpedo Tiger prawns were the best. Than Beef TAtaki . Tepanyaki selection were fresh and enough choise. Lamb chops, small steak pieces , solmon, other Sliptong and Panga fish and prawns... tried many of them and was very fresh. Sushi rice i found a bit dry bur there were enough choise Salad bar was the weakness. Perhaps they prepare more if them have more booked tables but there were 5-6 choises but no big deal Fresh fruits pineapple , melon, peach etc... Many ice cream options , doughnuts, spek koekjes, kids can love it. Restaurant seemed a bit dated and also WC probably could b renovated and perhaps more cleaner. We picked up a monthly menu. That was a great price, great food and the two of us could eat for two days.

Went for dinner tonight. Very cold. Several people were eating with coats on. Not deduct anything from the price. Indicated several times that it was cold, but no solution was taken. It was 6 degrees at the table. Measured with temperature meter.. I won't eat here again. Home later. My stomach hurts from the food and the cold

BUT the temperature in the restaurant was just COLD...unbearable!! .after having indicated this several times and also that other people were eating with their jackets on.!!! .didn't have an ice cream because we had already gotten one ourselves! It's a bit of a shame that no answer was given, they said that they had done everything to make it pleasant... unfortunately the CV knob was not turned on... and they ignored their customers' complaints.... so pay and leave.... Pity but once and never again...... have to pay the full amount and no compromise is allowed... ..let alone an apology ridiculous 16 degrees is too cold for a restaurant wrong cuts!!!!!! hope people read this and bring the JAS to the table! is not an unnecessary luxury

I'm actually not into this kind of all you can eat buffet stuff. We ended up there by chance and were pleasantly surprised. There is a lot of choice and not Chinese either. Service very friendly. I think the atmosphere is not optimal due to the lighting being a bit harsh/cold. The food tasted more than excellent.

Voor het eerst hier geweest. Ziet er allemaal wat verouderd en onverzorgd uit. Keuze uit eten matig. Eten zelf niet alles even warm en goed. Prijs hoog. Wij hebben jassen aangehouden vanwege kou in het restaurant. Wij komen hier niet nog eens.

Excellent food for an all you can eat. A lot of choice with cold starters, to sushi, soup, teppanyaki, stir-fry, standard Chinese Indian food, pancakes to spekkoek and all kinds of other sweet desserts. Sufficient drink variety makes it complete. For this price, 2.5 hours of food is a really good ratio.

Had dinner here for the first time on a Wednesday evening. It was very quiet but the staff is really friendly. The buffet is not large, but it does have everything you expect from an all you can eat. The meat and fish from the grill in particular are super tasty and freshly prepared. And also affordable compared to other restaurants in the area. The restaurant is old and really needs to be replaced. But the view makes up for a lot.

Ordered family menu and an extra dish. This would include large bins. This was clearly stated in the description. When we opened it we saw that they were small containers and not even full. Called about this. The lady indicated that they were standard containers and not large ones. Indicated that this was not in the description. No compensation, in our view misleading. Ordered via home delivery on a Sunday. As quickly as possible. After 1.5 hours I called and got a Chinese lady who spoke poor Dutch and was clairvoyant and knew she was on her way. I never told you an address! After 2.5 hours there was still no food in sight so we decided to eat a sandwich. With every phone call it seems like a sketch 'it's busy' 'it's on its way' We also live in Alphen.

De gastvrouw is het woord niet waard wat en verschrikkelijk mens.Waar ze wel goed in zijn is het laten stijgen van de prijs nu al 68 euro voor 2 personen dit voor zeer beprerkt bufet waar wij de volgende dag nog beiden ziek van waren. Tip....vermeid deze chinees en zoek wat anders

Beautiful location located on the Zegerplas with plenty of free parking. It's just a shame that the restaurant itself is a mess. Unfriendly staff, no charisma, stare at you as if you were an alien. Dry chicken covered in sauce, vomited in the toilet after half an hour. The sushi tastes spoiled. Desserts tasteless and chewy texture as if it was defrosted in the microwave. And a few nice hairs in your food. Enjoy your meal! We thought we would have a nice dinner with the family. Upon entering, my father-in-law says at the cash register "I have reserved a table", then the lady answers with an (exaggerated) Dutch accent "I know, sir, I will be with you in a moment!" in a tone as if she were biting into a sour apple. Once we returned, my mother-in-law kindly asked if it was possible to sit by the window (all tables empty). Answer: “No!” No further explanation, just an index finger to a dark place in a corner behind a curtain. Without sparing a glance, the lady turns her back on us. That same woman walks back to the kitchen empty-handed and leaves dirty plates on tables. If you say something about it you will get a big mouth in return. To the best of my knowledge, I have never been treated so rudely. I won't set foot in there again.

Too expensive for the quality. Sweet and sour sauce is not special and a bit watery, the Koe La Youk is dry and 3.90 euros for prawn crackers is too expensive. We got attracted looking at beautiful building and decided to try some Chinese food. Reality was different : Unfriendly, rude and disrespectful service. First we tried Soup and it was very salty and quantity was not worth. We wanted to try something more, but due to unfriendly waitress, we decided to leave the place. It was bad experience due to unfriendly service.

The food was good and despite the heat the staff was very friendly. Here you can eat well for a reasonable price.
