We enjoyed several cocktails with the friendly staff. They were top notch bartenders who clearly care about the spirits they serve. We enjoyed the conversations and sampling a the wide variety of rums they had. The experience changed my understanding of what to expect with rum!

Fantastic cocktails made with knowledge

As simply as I would describe this place to friends visiting Rotterdam: « An institution ». A can’t be missed in the very active cocktail scene of the city. Places comes and goes with trends The Rumah stands and keeps that secret sauce throughout the years.

If you ever want to do a cocktail workshop, this is definitely a must! Unique cocktail menu and real professionals with a lot of passion, we had a great experience.

I'm a simple man: I love rum so I love this place. The narrative / theme they go for is a nice bonus.

For the beginner or connoisseur: this is the bar for rum cocktails in Rotterdam and perhaps the whole of the Netherlands. Rarely had such good cocktails and service. A top experience, thanks!

A really nice rum cocktail bar. Small place with great cocktails. The staff explains the drinks once you are seated so that you make a more informed decision, they also make recommendations based on your preferences. The drinks (€14) match their flavor descriptions in the menu. Depending on how busy it is, the servers may rush the explanations.

the variety of rums is amazing and the bartenders equally friendly yet the place itself is rather dull and luck vibe.. the music is very plane and doesn't feel like a true bar.

I was in the bar today. I was alone with Sadiq, a bartender that know how to mix and how to entertain people. He helped me with everything I was asking for. 10/10 cocktails, 10/10 workers.

Nice thing, coincidentally they had a power outage, but we had a great evening with candles and improvisation with music via a mobile phone!

Some of the best and certainly most original cocktails I’ve ever tasted! My favorite is the “Booby Trap,”which comes beautifully presented (as you can see in the photo). Highly recommend trying (and returning to) this bar. The bartenders are extremely warm and friendly, which truly adds to the experience as well!

My nephew is a cocktail connoisseur and this bar was his top want to visit in Rotterdam. What an amazing place. Great atmosphere and the staff were so lovely. Particular shout out to the really amazing guy with the beard- sorry couldn't remember his name. Made us some delicious drinks and shared lots of his knowledge on the rums. He is a five star asset to this business! Thank you!

This place has the vibe game on lock— cool atmosphere, amazing staff, and a menu that’ll make you do a double take. But let’s talk drinks. Sure, they look impressive, but once you excavate the glacier-sized ice cubes, you’re left with a half-empty glass and a full dose of disappointment. Less ice, more nice, please! 🥂

Delicious weather and the best cocktail in Rotterdam

Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are real cocktail nerds. Exciting cocktails going far beyond the classics. This bar taught me that cocktails can be more exciting than food. Would be nice to add some small snacks to the menu.

Beautiful setting to enhance yourself with an eclectic variety of cocktails and spirits., while you watch the world go by. Drinks expensive but worth it.

What a place of art! everything was perfect, from the waiter to the bartender to the cocktail. The atmosphere was on point and the cocktails are wonderful, the choice and composition of the ingredients is so balanced and above all excellent quality. I'm giving 5 stars only because I can't give more!

A work of art. I love when bartenders are truly passionate about their craft. The menu and theme are timeless. Every drink is explained by the bartender upon presentation. I am not a rum fan, but I highly recommend trying this cocktail room out. I will be back! The pink drink is "Booby Trap," and the other is "This is America." Update one week later: We came back! This time featuring "Pinga" and "Devil in Disguise." Our waiter was kind enough to ask if we enjoyed a more savory/olive flavored drink because our first choice would have been Fragata. He said if you wanted something sweeter, then this likely wasn't the best choice, which swayed our selection. Maybe next time, but I appreciated the heads up.

Quite top tier given the size of the city, solid and original cocktails in addition to a nice collection of rums. The place is rather lively and chill with a very diverse crowd. 16/20

It's probably just me... but the drinks weren't for me. Too sweet, too experimental, too expensive. Nice concept but really only for the passionate. The IPA beer was delicious though. Sorry for the two stars, I won't be coming back but I wish you only the best

It is a really good cocktail, especially for those who enjoy Rom, its rich history and flavour. Bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Cocktails are really tasty, though more on the stronger side of the pallet.

THE absolute reference in terms of rum in Rotterdam! Mixology experience not to be overlooked. Very good team at the controls, advice adapted to requests, beautiful presentation, friendly and friendly service. The prices are correct when you know the price and the difficulty of obtaining clear ice. A bit small place but very cozy.

The owner himself brings you the cocktails and also tells you the backstory of it as well as a backstory of the place itself. Very cosy, very cool, just go visit it!

It was busy (which is understandable!) so we couldn't be seated right away, but the employees kept a close eye on everything and we got a seat in no time. Tasty cocktails, very nice and quick service that tells something about each drink. I also liked that you got a glass of water that was continuously refilled. A really nice tent!

I will give five stars. The service is awesome. Cockeils amazing with a lot of imagination. Their flavors make you travel. The best we found in Rotterdam. You won't miss out if you come. Well done.

Small but cozy bar with incredible cocktails! I did a tasting with friends of mine where each one chose a different cocktail so that we all had the opportunity to try something different and it was a unique experience. The cocktails rely on a technique and ingredients that make a difference. The staff is also very friendly. I highly recommend it.

Lekkere cocktails en vriendelijk personeel dat veel over de cocktails kan vertellen. De bar is niet heel groot, maar wel gezellig.

Outside of the classics, i'd definitely recommend their cocktails from the book menu, which all of them is worth to try. Aiga is my favorite with a bit of coconut and coffee taste. The Rumah means 'a house or home' in Indonesian. The bar definitely has a cozy ambiance and a friendly service that mimic the name. I was there with 3 other people, which was perfect for the space that they have. Everything was great and i learned something new about ingredients and the origins of the drinks. I'd definitely come back 🤩

Situated in the heart of Rotterdam, this cocktail bar is fantastic. It has a cozy and vibrant atmosphere, drawing in a full crowd. The staff is exceptionally friendly and proactive. They craft excellent and electrifying cocktails, taking the time to explain the content of each in detail. I strongly recommend it.

In a word: sublime. I had the 'Lemonato' and dang was I thoroughly impressed, one of the best cocktails I've had in ages. An absolutely amazing combination of mastiha, brandy, smoked salt, and what have you. The combination of top quality ingredients, the lovingly crafted menus with little stories attached to each drink, rounded out by the skill and friendliness of the bartender easily makes this the top cocktail bar I've been to in Rotterdam, and probably well beyond that. Really enjoyed the experience and the service. I would recommend that you're specific with your servers about the flavors you enjoy. Some of the drinks are quite strong and have very unique flavors. Not for everyone. But if you're clear with them about what your preferences are, they have amazing cocktails.

We stumbled across this small but delightfully lovely bar in the heart of Rotterdam that makes the most unbelievable rum-based cocktails (hence the name). We tried several from the menu and then asked the cocktail waitress to make us one of her favourites too. All were delicious and seemed reasonably priced at around €11-€12, plus were pretty pokey! The giant designer ice cubes that adorned some of the drinks looked amazing too. So if you’re on a trip to Rotterdam, then this place definitely needs to be on your bucket list. The staff is incredibly friendly, it's mainly the owners. They change their menu with new things, have exciting cocktails with different ingredients. They have regulars who keep going there, great neighborhood bar, but also great if you want to try new things and learn more about ingredients used.

Nice Rum based cocktailbar, we visited on a Monday evening and were able to sit at one of tables on the terrace in the shopping street. Tried several of their Cocktails which were all good and original. Waitress was friendly, helpfull and knowledgeable on the cocktails and ingredients. Interior looked nice as well. Recommend the Aiga cocktail.
