I didn't eat there, but the cocktails were good. Staff very friendly. I would love to come back again.

Really nice rum focused cocktail bar, the bartender he was really friendly and knowledgeable and helped us pick a great non alcoholic cocktail, and for me made a rum old fashioned which was so good I didn't miss the whisky at all. Great service and loved the drinks

A cocktail bar just the way I like them. Located in downtown Rotterdam, it's a true cocktail bar, intimate and quite small. However, and this isn't really the bar's fault, I sat outside on a terrace opposite the bar, and frankly, you could feel a little unsafe with passersby who were either high, drunk, or riding bikes/scooters in the street. Despite this, the first cocktail, a Mercedes, was very dry, but quite good nonetheless, before I tried a Negroni to improve my overall impression of this lovely bar.

We were lucky enough to stumble upon this relaxed and charming bar during our first visit to Rotterdam. The professional bartender, Daryl, made incredibly delicious cocktails, and even the specialty drinks perfectly met our expectations. We had a fantastic night. A really fun place to try different rum cocktails. From simple to more distinctive, there is something for everyone. The service was also top-notch, we received a nice explanation, and the atmosphere was cozy.

Nice place with friendly staff. We did a mocktail workshop, where we received great explanations and were able to make two drinks in pairs at a relaxed pace behind the bar. It was also nice that they took our own preferences into account and considered how something could be done differently to make it taste better.

As a proud London Jamaican, I believed I knew a good rum cocktail, but I was truly blown away by the exceptional quality of the drinks. Without wanting to sound like an alcoholic, I must admit the beverages were remarkably good, so much so that I felt I must have been irritating the bartenders, as I couldn't resist trying everything on the menu. The staff were consistently polite and attentive throughout my visit. This was my first time in Rotterdam, and I can confidently say I will return solely for this bar, drawn by its outstanding atmosphere and expertly crafted drinks.

Amazing unique cocktails, no food. Regular menu updates so an interesting experience every time. Their rum negroni is my favorite classic.

I have been to this bar a number of times and have always enjoyed my time, so decided to book their cocktail workshop for 5 people. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Eddie was very friendly and helpful when I was enquiring about the session and was also very flexible to accommodate my group and prior plans we had. The workshop was very fun, interactive and well planned. Eddie was very knowledgeable when telling us about the history with alcohol and spirits and it all integrated well with the cocktails we made. It was truly a great workshop and my group had so much fun, had so many drinks and we picked up some great cocktail making skills in the workshop! Thank you to Eddie and the team for a wonderful cocktail workshop experience!

The shop/business is fine, but the atmosphere on the street outside has unfortunately become very unpleasant. Groups of antisocial people often hang around in front of the adjacent restaurant (Zayt & Za'atar), harassing and intimidating passersby. This makes visiting the surrounding shops an unpleasant experience. I hope the business owners on this street take action to ensure the safety and tranquility of their customers.

Very friendly bartender who explained the cocktails in detail and recommended based on preferences. We had a rum negroni and an althama(?) both were absolutely delicious and unique. Would say among the best we’ve ever had. A must stop

This was my second time here. This time I came on my own to try some new intriguing cocktails. As they had changed the menu since my last visit, there were lots of new interesting cocktails. The cocktails are just so so unique. Really well-composed and balanced drinks for every palate. If you’re a cocktail lover and keen to try some creatively crafted drinks, this is your place! The service was phenomenal and the bar staff were super nice and helpful. They explained the concept of the bar and took the time to explain the various ingredients in the cocktails. I will absolutely 100% return for more cocktails. Highly recommend!

Great place, coincidentally they had a power outage, so they couldn't make all the cocktails anymore, so with some improvisation, candles and some music from a mobile phone, we celebrated a great birthday with our friends!

I went to Rumah full of anticipation for the most delicious cocktails. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. I ordered two more cocktails, one of which was served in a shot glass. Two sips and that was it. The other was served in a larger glass, but ultimately only four sips of a "cocktail." It wasn't amazingly good, and for the price, you should expect something. You want to taste your cocktail and enjoy it. Unfortunately, you pay an exorbitant amount for the minimal amount you get.

Very good service and attentive staff. The drinks menu is explained to you, and the staff knows what's in the drinks and what makes them special. High praise for that. The only thing I would criticize is the payment option – the minimum for card payments was a €10 tip (€15 for the second option, etc.) on a €39 bill. Since the service was really good, that's still within reason, but in principle, I don't think tips, especially at that level, should be forced on customers...

We enjoyed several cocktails with the friendly staff. They were top notch bartenders who clearly care about the spirits they serve. We enjoyed the conversations and sampling a the wide variety of rums they had. The experience changed my understanding of what to expect with rum!

As simply as I would describe this place to friends visiting Rotterdam: « An institution ». A can’t be missed in the very active cocktail scene of the city. Places comes and goes with trends The Rumah stands and keeps that secret sauce throughout the years.

The staff explains the drinks once you are seated so that you make a more informed decision, they also make recommendations based on your preferences. The drinks (€14) match their flavor descriptions in the menu. Depending on how busy it is, the servers may rush the explanations.

Some of the best and certainly most original cocktails I’ve ever tasted! My favorite is the “Booby Trap,”which comes beautifully presented (as you can see in the photo). Highly recommend trying (and returning to) this bar. The bartenders are extremely warm and friendly, which truly adds to the experience as well!

This place has the vibe game on lock— cool atmosphere, amazing staff, and a menu that’ll make you do a double take. But let’s talk drinks. Sure, they look impressive, but once you excavate the glacier-sized ice cubes, you’re left with a half-empty glass and a full dose of disappointment. Less ice, more nice, please! 🥂

My nephew is a cocktail connoisseur and this bar was his top want to visit in Rotterdam. What an amazing place. Great atmosphere and the staff were so lovely. Particular shout out to the really amazing guy with the beard- sorry couldn't remember his name. Made us some delicious drinks and shared lots of his knowledge on the rums. Delicious weather and the best cocktail in Rotterdam

Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are real cocktail nerds. Exciting cocktails going far beyond the classics. This bar taught me that cocktails can be more exciting than food. Would be nice to add some small snacks to the menu.

A work of art. I love when bartenders are truly passionate about their craft. The menu and theme are timeless. Every drink is explained by the bartender upon presentation. I am not a rum fan, but I highly recommend trying this cocktail room out. I will be back! The pink drink is "Booby Trap," and the other is "This is America." Update one week later: We came back! This time featuring "Pinga" and "Devil in Disguise." Our waiter was kind enough to ask if we enjoyed a more savory/olive flavored drink because our first choice would have been Fragata. He said if you wanted something sweeter, then this likely wasn't the best choice, which swayed our selection. Maybe next time, but I appreciated the heads up.

It's probably just me... but the drinks weren't for me. Too sweet, too experimental, too expensive. Nice concept but really only for the passionate. The IPA beer was delicious though. Sorry for the two stars, I won't be coming back but I wish you only the best
