Ordered red thai curry!!! and it was no where near to authentic one. instead of red thai coconut curry it was red thai oil curry.

Ordered the red thai curry and fried shrimps yesterday and the food was great! Was still super hot, very quickly delivered and large portion size. Would definitely recommend this place!

Delicious pad Thai and chicken satay. Great food, good portions, and delivered quite quickly.

Just like many people have said it. You order 17 euros for soup or food and you don’t get any chicken or meat or rice. Portions are terrible too. Tried talking to the owner and he showed no understanding Do not order from here. Unless you want to waste your money

I never throw away food until today.

My food was accepted from the delivery person by a stranger who stole it. This was resolved quickly and new food was delivered within 20 minutes. Good service and tasty food

Fast delivery, good portions, and delicious food. 4/5 stars, but I think it could have had a bit more flavor/spice.

Highly mediocre, too little spices with too much salt, like an Allerhande recipe gone wrong. Portion sizes are good though and the delivery was fine

2 stars out of sympathy, but the food was bad. Not authentic Thai at all. The flavors are bland and very Dutch. Next time we will make the effort to drive to Houten again, where you can get authentic and tasty Thai food.

You can taste that the food is freshly prepared. Portions are large

Dutch Thai with in my opinion too much leek, carrot, onion in every dish. Lacks spice and typical Thai flavor. Curry is tasty.

The Thai food was tasty, but not necessarily one of the better in Utrecht. The delivery took 1.5 hours and we then received a Tom Kha soup that was half empty over the other food. They also forgot the rice with the curry. Sloppy as far as I'm concerned. The number is unreachable, so that is also very inconvenient.

The food tastes delicious and is freshly prepared. The Massaman curry is highly recommended!

Contrary to many of the reviews, my food arrived within 25 minutes on a Sunday evening. Food taste was good.

Guys, just go there by bike or in the car when I read the reviews. Easily accessible and our food was ready within 20 minutes (so chapeau on Saturday evening rush hour). The food was really delicious...tasty garlic black pepper, delicious spicy red curry and tom yam soup. I only saw the reviews after I placed my order, so I was critical ;)... but I can't judge delivery times, but I would say get out of your armchair and go for the axe... we'll come pick it up again soon

We order from here quite regularly and are always very satisfied. The quality is always good. You get a lot of meat and fresh vegetables and it is also very tasty. I never had to wait long for my order.

I agree with the previous reviews. Our waiting time was also quite long. We waited more than 40 minutes, which is really long for a Monday. But the reason for the 2 stars is the content of the Pad Thai. That was a heavy, very full bowl of noodles. With 3 large pieces of spring onion, bean sprouts and a few pieces of onion. (No, not subtle bits). I missed the structure of various products, especially peanuts, a greater diversity of vegetables, but especially tofu or tofu. I thought this vegetarian Pad Thai was so bland that I won't order it again. Baan Nok and Lemongrass are really much better Thai ordering options in Utrecht.

Ordered over an hour ago. Only when you call will they take action... As I write this I realize that this was also the case last time. Note to self: do not order here again

After 2 hours and 2 calls, no order received. They lie about that they are just getting into the car and will be there in 5 minutes.

Delivery took almost 2 hours to arrive Curry was dry rice with a lot of paprika, don't recommend ordering here

OK but not really thai, tasted more like Chinese, at least one of the dishes. The other was a watery green milky curry, but I guess at least spicey. Won't order again

Waited 1 hour + when ordering, and it tastes (no jokes!!) like motor oil. Do yourself a favor and order somewhere else.

I order through UberEats, the food was delivered very quickly and it was very tasty. I definitely recommend it!

Personally, I didn't like it. The nasi had a lot of carrot in nice flowers.. which also appeared in the Garlic black pepper chicken..... which does not taste like Garlic or black pepper. The chicken was tough and quite fatty (probably chicken thigh fillet), then add that. The satay was therefore also greasy. Never again for me, the order arrived within 15 minutes, that was the only positive

All negative reviews are 100% true. I was still thinking of giving it a try, the food was supposed to be delivered in 45 minutes but was received after 2 hours. The quality of the food itself is just ok, nothing to brag about

Pad Thai is super tasty and always fresh.

Ordered at 6 p.m., estimated delivery time was 45 minutes. It finally arrived at 8:15 PM. Also impossible to reach by phone, so we had already eaten something else. The Pad Thai was also really unpalatable, boiled noodles with way too much fat/oil. Do not order here!

Compared to other reviews, I actually have a positive experience. Food delivered quickly despite a large delivery distance across Utrecht (kudos). Tasty refined food; tasted both the monkfish and the beef. Recommended!

The red curry was very tasty! Really enjoyed it. I would have liked it to be 2 peppers spicier, but for most people I know this is already spicy enough.

Extremely long waiting time, unreachable by phone. We have been waiting for our food for more than two hours...usually the food is fine.

Echt heel goed! Geweldige Tom Kha Kai soep, heel veel verse ingrediënten gebruikt, prima authentieke smaak. De red curry en de garlic black pepper waren ook heel erg lekker. Verse groenten, niet te zuinig met de gamba’s. Lekker pittig maar niet te overheersend, zodat ook de overige kruiden en smaken aanwezig waren. Gewoon uitstekend gedaan op een regenachtige dinsdagavond, ik was aangenaam verrast.

Small containers with little content and also expensive. Prawn crackers are not Thai. Ordered a shrimp specifically and there were only a few frozen shrimp in it, and the rest was a watery sauce.

This is a ridiculous place. Had to wait more than 2 hours for the food to arrive. Phone kept being pushed away. The bad thing is that we had already paid and then you are less likely to order from another restaurant. Because of this we had to miss the start of my sister's ballet performance. We will not come back here again and advise against it to everyone.

Eten was niet bezorgd en ze namen niet op, volgende dag met de eigenaar gebeld. Bleek door een onbekend persoon in de flat te zijn aangenomen. Eigenaar wilde geld niet terugbetalen en werd ongelofelijk agressief op de telefoon. BESTEL HIER NIET!

Yesterday i ordered pad thai with beef. it wasn't easy to find Meat there... But okay. because there was no more thai restaurant close to my hotel,i gave them a second chance... I have to say souce was testy (sweet and sour) , not a lot of Meat again but i found this piece of metal in souce. what would happened if that would be in my doughter meal???

Crappy soup, and for the extra 1.50 I got exactly 2 shrimps. I enjoyed the bag of Conimex prawn crackers more than the meager excuse for Tom Yam at €8.50. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Very slow delivery—food had already cooled down. Quality of the food was reasonable.

Unbelievably bad. Trying hard to find to words to describe how bad it was. I ordered the chicken green curry, they should have called it the paprika, bamboo green water colour instead though. There was barely any chicken in it, full of paprika (who puts paprika in green curry anyway?)and bamboo. Please do NOT order here, unless of course u wanna have a horrible meal 😂

I was pretty disappointed with my meal. I ordered a vegetarian Massaman which was pretty sweet and about + 75% of the food consisted of only onions.

The delivery was nice and quick, within 30 mins. Pricing is very fair. The best part was the authentic and delicious Thai food.

Terrible customer service. Ordered food from them, which was badly packed with most of the curry spilled in the plastic bag. Even the delivery boy said that it was badly packed and spilled. We called the restaurant and even sent them a picture of how much food had spilled. They were rude, accused us of spilled the food and refused to do anything about it. Do not recommend as they take no responsibility or accountability for their service.

I had a horrible meal courtesy of Thai Orchid 5 months ago. It was so bad, 5 months later I'm still angry. I was triggered today while visiting another slightly less bad restaurant today, and it brought the terrible memories of Thai orchid flooding back. The high prices, false advertising, and lack of taste color, or texture of their Pad Thai- Thailand's signature dish. I also see that Thai Orchid has gone to the liberty of deleting my original comment - cheers guys.

Na een eerdere bestelling al niet zo tevreden, maar op aandringen van collega's toch weer bij The Thai Orchid besteld. Gekozen voor een Garlic Black Pepper Chicken met nasi (€17,00) en een Thaise Saté Chicken (€6,50). Tot mijn verbazing kreeg ik slechts een half leeg bakje van mijn hoofdgerecht geleverd. Groot was mijn verbijstering toen bleek dat 80% van de inhoud uit groenten bestond, en de kip ongeveer even veel was als op anderhalf stokje saté. Zie foto's !!! Dezelfde avond heb ik een mailtje met de foto's opgestuurd naar de bedrijfsleider en het restaurant, maar na 3 weken nog altijd geen reactie gehad. Daarom nu een recensie, want kennelijk worden klachten niet serieus genomen. Vanuit het werk bestellen wij meerdere keren per week eten in Utrecht, maar The Thai Orchid is ons definitief een klant aan ons kwijt.

Quality has greatly decreased compared to 1-2 years ago. Wok dish super greasy, doesn't taste Thai at all? I have no idea what I just ate... so not really recommended

I have ordered vegetarian Thai bami ande was not there in description(i have an eeg allergy). When I received the order it has eeg in it.I am very disappointed.

Been there twice for chicken satay. Last time with rice. I didn't have it delivered because I live around the corner. They surprised me and I know what good food is. Gave them the benefit of the doubt. Ali is very nice and the boys work hard. So I come here more often.

Ordered tofu and chicken pad thai, there were literally 3 small pieces of tofu and chicken in each. Also didn't taste like authentic pad thai, was full of noodles, barely anything else. Not worth the money.

Gisteren waren we met collega's aan het werk op locatie en hebben we eten besteld via thuisbezorgd.nl. Het eten was verrukkelijk, helaas was het niet al te warm meer. Ik had gevraagd me te bellen als ze er waren (bedrijfsverzamelgebouw), dat deden ze niet. Dat is wel een tegenvaller. Daardoor heeft mijn eten onnodig lang bij de receptie gestaan. :-(

Eten was lekker maar asociaal ontvang ik nu regelmatig reclame sms met als afzender ThaiOrchid, waardoor ik dus niets kan blokkeren of laten tegenhouden door spamfilter.

New chefs in the kitchen? Previous experiences were great, but unfortunately this Thai is out of the question for me. Pad Thai, few ingredients and sauce from a packet. Red curry in coconut, nothing to write home about either.

Had food from this Thai delivered to my hotel. I had paid via Ideal, but when the courier from Thuisbezorgd.nl arrived (after only 20 minutes) I was stupid enough to pay again. I quickly called them and they would refund it, 5 minutes later they called back that that didn't work and the courier would bring the money. Great service! And then the food. I had Thom Kha Koeng soup and Massasman Kai. Both were fantastically tasty. Best Thai food I've ever eaten!

Yesterday we ate here with 6 people because it is close to Tivoli de Helling, so then we went to a concert. We were very satisfied with the food, super fresh, and very authentic Thai. I'm not sure about giving it a 5th star because it took a long time for the food to be ready, but it's definitely recommended. It is more take-out than a real restaurant, but you can sit there.

Delicious Thai dishes (one of the better in Utrecht) and excellent delivery. Order there regularly. Restaurant is very simple.

Had takeout here last weekend and got 5 mains for 6 people. Varied with hot n soft, chicken beef and shrimp. Great value for money. Food was delicious and plenty.

Service was slow during dinner time, but the food was worth waiting for. A bit chaotic and busy, like in Thailand.. :-)
