Finally a coffee shop without WiFi! And the pastries are amazing. I only drink the filter coffee but I guess the other options are better than you’ve had before. They roast their own beans people! They gotta be doing something right.

The best coffee in Utrecht and the owners are real gents. Great vibe, the music always hits, and the crowd are super friendly! Also a great place work for a few hours, or have a coffee with a mate. Highly recommended!

Cool coffee shop with decent coffee.

Popped in here on a rainy morning and was so glad we did! Super cozy, great speciality coffee and the gluten free PB&J cookie was delicious. I am learning Dutch and the barista was so patient and encouraging while I was ordering in Dutch! Very lovely little spot.

This coffee was so amazing and the atmosphere is so vibey. I’m American so I love my iced coffees and find it difficult to find good iced coffee here, but my iced latte was so amazing! The staff was so friendly. This was such an amazing place and I highly recommend!!!

Looks and vibe 4/5 Flavour of coffee 1/5 Flat white was a cafe au lait and when told to the person behind the bar, it was said that’s how a flat white should be.

Food: Great - had the PB&J cookie on Saturday: would trade one of my kidneys for it Today: choc brownie (see picture. Was delicious) Flat white, cappuccino with this or that milk also great. Bonus points: Music. Idles on Saturday and today on Tuesday full on 3 albums of the boss. Bruce Springsteen nonstop & no song skipping. Lovely, thank you. See you again soon

The coffee was great and so was the PB&J cookie! Definitely recommend. Staff is excellent! I was only in town for another hour and I asked one of the guys working there what I could in Utrecht during this time and he was such a great guy, he pinned me on google maps a route that he likes to walk as well, around a beautiful park they have there. If you are reading this, guy with the route, thanks a million! It was great!

Service could be improved. When I ordered, I asked if they could add a little milk to the cold brews - not possible. I then asked if they could make iced cappuccino (they have iced latte on the menu, but I didn't want too much milk) - also not possible. Then I asked if I could have the iced double espresso with a little milk - also not possible! It wasn't even a busy time and still they were not flexible in accommodating at all, and also not helpful in any way in suggesting other options that might suit my request or at least explaining why they can't add milk. We still ordered coffees in the end, but it really felt like they were not customer oriented at all and gave us a bad experience overall. The coffees were more on the sour side, which didn't suit our tastes in the end. The music was so loud that we couldn't have a good conversation whilst sitting next to each other.

The Village is my cats' favorite! The sealing strip on every bag of coffee is a favorite cat toy at home every time! But also quite satisfied! Delicious cups of coffee from relaxed staff in a good atmosphere. They roast coffee beans for home themselves and are excellent in price and quality.

Coffee shop with tattoo shop vibes! Great coffee and chai latte! Cookies and croissants are also delicious! Staff is also super nice! They also have a few tables outside! There is no WiFi, but it’s still a good place to read or work (if you don’t mind a bit of music in the background)!

The best cafe I've been to in the Netherlands! They not only have incredible coffee that's roasted by them, but the location in Utrecht is incredibly cozy, artsy, and awesome to spend time in. Everyone I've brought here has been so impressed!

Great coffee (would definitely recommend the flat white) and nice atmosphere. One of my favorite cafés in Utrecht. Not a lot of seats inside, so it may be difficult to have a coffee in. They also serve great decaf and sell decaf coffee beans. One of the coffees that is in my rotation.

Cozy coffee shop. A bit of a punk atmosphere, which fits in on the Voorstraat. The music is so loud in the back that it is difficult to hear each other, not a place to relax, but nice.

Love the place and the vibe, but when it comes to espresso this is just not the place for me. The coffee quality is undoubtedly good and I trust the staff k ows what they're doing, but it's a very sour profile. I tried different beans in multiple occasions. If you like a round, bitter and sweet profile for your espresso, don't go here. But also: it wouldn't hurt if they got some more variety in beans profile.

This cafe is amazing! The coffee is so good, and their banana bread is easily one of the best in the city (when its not sold out :( ) The vibe is super chill with great music, and I love sitting outside to soak up the lively atmosphere of the busy street. Perfect spot for a nice cup of great coffee!!

Unbelievable coffee, very comfortable place. I travelled from Amsterdam with one of the reasons to visit this place. Great speciality coffee, and what I found quite unusual was the masonic symbols on the coffee cup and plate. Large outside sunny and shade area. One of the best coffee and overall ambiance.

Top location, near Neude, very friendly service. I am not a coffee lover, but I tasted a teaspoon and I think this coffee tastes very good. Enjoyed the fresh ginger tea with lemon and their delicious banana cake.

Great atmosphere, with classic tattoo iconography and a well curated playlist on the speakers. I am sitting here right now, and the coffee is some of the best I’ve had in Amsterdam/Utrecht— and the homemade peanut butter and jelly cookie is absolutely fantastic.

a local coffee shop with great atmosphere located in a lively street. it was quite busy, we couldn’t find a table outside but the inside is just as nice. we tried tahini choc, banana bread and oat cookie. banana bread was nothing extraordinary but each one of them were veeeryy tasty. also you can find cool booklets of various events and arts&culture establishments!

Great coffee, chilled atmosphere

Visited The Village, a café conveniently located on Voorstraat in Utrecht. The atmosphere is a unique blend of rock and tribal vibes, mixed with an industrial aesthetic, creating a distinctive and inviting space. I tried their Iced Latte, which was good, quite refreshing and balanced. I also sampled their Hazelnut Cookie, which was a pleasant surprise—deliciously flavorful without being overly sweet, making it a perfect companion to the coffee. The café itself is cozy, offering both indoor and outdoor seating options, depending on your preference. Whether you’re into café hopping or just looking for a cool spot to relax, The Village is definitely worth a visit.

Friendly place for good but very sour espresso

This is not a suitable cafe for working. There are signs inside the #44 side that say no laptops, but laptops are tolerated on the #46 side, with limited quality seating with tables. I ordered a tea with honey. She didn’t give me honey, but the tea was fine. The cinnamon roll was pretty good but didn’t seem like it was made in house. The main reason for giving a 2 star review is that when I asked the guy if they had WiFi, he said: “ Luckily No. “ which is a weird response. My group ordered at least 30EUR worth of food and drink. I sort of understand not wanting to have people using your cafe as a work station without being a customer, but why would you respond that way to a customer looking for WiFi?

Utrecht is the new Amsterdam and the customer is not exactly king. When you ask if the (rock) music can be turned down, this is not possible because "this is the concept"??!! Inside, you can't have a conversation with the person sitting next to me. We were told we could sit in the back, but there was no room here. I don't come here anymore. Too bad, because the coffee is good.

This place may seem very eco-bobo but in the end we paid a lot of money for intermediate quality pastries… the drinks were good but absolutely do not deserve this price. Don't expect music when you come to brunch at this place PS: ultimately don’t go there to get pancakes, they no longer sell them

I am a Groningen resident so I don't have much experience with coffee places in Utrecht. Decided to visit this place after seeing the high reviews on Google. Entering the store, the vibe is amazing. There were 2 baristas who were not coordinated or particularly interested in customer service. I asked what coffee they were using and they weren't interested in explaining anything about it which was surprising since they claimed to be a roastery as well. The baristas separated their tasks, one poured the shot and the other steamed the milk. But they did not communicate to each other as the other barista was busy talking to someone else. The milk for the cappuccino for cold, the coffee plain bad. The ice latte with the hazelnut syrup tasted like there was no coffee in it. Highly disappointed. If you're in Groningen sometime, try out Koffiestation or Mahalo, you will get a service and product that is levels beyond.

This place roasts its own coffee. The taste of the coffee is spicy and a bit bitter. The service is extremely correct and friendly. The staff surrounds you with attention without being pushy. price quality is certainly in order. a place to go more often for coffee and cake.
