Delicious food and top-notch service, definitely recommend it!

67 euros for 4 meals that came out of the microwave with cold chunks of sambal goreng, pickled and hard green beans, too little meat and too much rice. Not customer-friendly, and when we wanted to take our food away we had to pack it ourselves because the two of them were warming up one meal for the only other customer. I understand why it is almost always empty inside.

Since when has a simple chicken curry sandwich become €9?? This one was €3.50

Happy to have this delicious spot in the neighbourhood! Great indonesian cuisine with plenty of fresh choices. My favourite is the rames speciaal with spicy meat and mihoen. They serve it warm or cold depending on your choice and size of the portions are more than sufficient.

Toko Bali has become too expensive. We used to go there often for lunch or a sandwich. The sandwiches went from €4.95 to €5.99 at the end of January, a 20% price increase! That's more than about 3% inflation. It's a shame, because the food isn't all that special. It's always neat and clean, though, and there are plenty of tables with seating for eating in.

Chicken sandwiches have gone up a euro. You now pay €6 for a sandwich that won't even fill you up. We used to come here regularly, but I think we'll skip it for now.

Yesterday, my husband picked up two Rendang rolls, three lempers, and three beef/pedi bao paos. The rolls were decent, but the bao paos were old, dry, and the filling wasn't tasty. The coconut-to-chicken ratio of the lemper wasn't right, giving them an overly sweet and soapy taste. In short, for €35, it was expensive and I wouldn't go back. It's a shame, because the former shop in Leidsenhage was more than worth the detour! You can safely avoid this one!

Order: 2 chicken curry sandwiches, a can of green Fernandez, and a bottle of water (this was a mini Sisi bottle, maybe barely 0.2 liters). Cost: €14.40. Absolutely ridiculous, way too expensive. Then I received a red can of Fernandez instead of a green one. I hadn't noticed this at first because I was in a conversation, so I opened it. I walked back to the counter and asked for a green Fernandez. The lady and gentleman then acted very arrogant and difficult, acting as if it was all my fault. With great difficulty, I finally got a green can of Fernandez. What terrible service! They made a mistake themselves, and then they were too stingy and arrogant to fix it. As I left, my partner said goodbye. No response from these arrogant people. This was a real mess. The first and last time for me.

Way too expensive and small quantities

Indonesian cuisine is one of my favorite cuisines. Unfortunately, the food here is mediocre and relatively much too expensive.

The prices are simply too high for what you get when it comes to individual dishes of your choice that have to be weighed. They've set their scales this way, so the outcome is a surprise, but it's not pretty and certainly doesn't match the menu. Over €36 for a small container of cod, fried noodles, and two containers of vegetables?! And no, the combo deal isn't much better either. I occasionally saw someone inside and thought I'd give it a try, but this was the first and last time. Incidentally, it's not an authentically Indonesian (run) restaurant; there weren't any Asian staff members in sight—an observation that was neither positive nor negative. Given several reviews, the quality isn't worth the price, and I should have known this, since the meal has to be reheated in the microwave. All in all, not recommended; you can get a better meal and quality elsewhere at a more reasonable price. You don't go there for the pleasant atmosphere either; it's rather bland.

How I terribly miss the Chinese place that used to be next door. Tried Toko Bali a few times but find the price/quality ratio terrible. Much better alternatives in old Leidschendam and even in the mall. The staff is usually friendly though. Food varies in quality and taste.

I love the fantastic food at the diner. It's not really a restaurant, but it is a very friendly host and hostesses.

Called for 5 sandwiches and 3 roti rolls: pick up 12:15. We waited until 12:55. After more than 40 minutes we finally got the order. No concessions or discounts, just a lame excuse that they were only going to prepare it on time for pick up because they were afraid it would get cold (this was not shared with us in advance) Our office will never order here for lunch again! Pick up 12:15 is take away 12:15

Ordered 4 sandwiches, all 4 were dry. Chicken cashew was super dry and tough. This has simply been sitting for too long. Prices are also not normal €6-9 for a sandwich. In short, not recommended!

I have been coming here for years, good service, tasty food and a nice atmosphere at toko bali. The bad reactions on google do not match the reality at toko bali and are really written by a bunch of whiners.

Just got it at TocoBali Leidschenveen. What a terrible experience. Not very authentic and clearly not fresh. As if it had been in the fridge for a week. For 60 euros 3 dishes and the children still have to get something to eat because they didn't want to eat nasi that doesn't look like nasi. Short, save and don't do it to yourself.

Slecht eten, niks authentieks aan: nasi wat op burgel lijkt, roti met zeer weinig smaak. Het ergste is dat het echt niet vers bereid is, vermoedelijk wordt er ergens een berg eten gekookt en dan in de vriezer of koelkast langdurig bewaard. Porties zijn zeer klein, terwijl je voor 3 gerechten en een beetje kroepoek 60 euro kwijt bent. Op zich is het niet eens zo erg, want je gaat het toch weggooien. Erg jammer.

the food is reasonable, but the prices of weighed food are, as other reviewers report, bizarrely high, for a small container of meat of around 150 grams you easily pay 7 euros and for a 150 gram vegetable also 5 euros, the entire order was 60 euros, bizarre for a few containers and some rice, meat and vegetables.

Everything is getting more expensive, I know. Still, I was shocked when the meal I ordered a year or two ago had gone from 12 to 18 euros. And if they then start shoveling sparingly because they're afraid the nasi will run out or something... Such a shame. Quality was ok and luckily one of the two ladies was in a pleasant mood.

Delicious risolles from Toko Bali

Yesterday we had a delicious meal at Toko Bali. We got more food than we could eat, lots of noodles and rice and the ladies were friendly. The rendang tasted very good, as did the tempe and sambal goreng beans. The cashew chicken was slightly drier. It always looks clean and fresh inside and the shelves with products are neatly displayed. We like to come there.

The employees are not customer friendly and remain standing behind the counter. Do not come to the customer's table. The food is not of the best quality and pricey.

Tip: if business is bad and your turnover is declining, you should give more food instead of less because then you will lose even more customers. Rice costs nothing, throw some extra on it and they will come more often!

Ridiculously expensive! The funny thing is that when you order food they fill the container with a spoon... oops too much... out again. If you ask for a little more, you get something like this, you have to pay more! Grumpy as hell, unfriendly and doesn't understand a word of Dutch except "pay". What you pay here is a week's worth of groceries. If the food is already gone at 6 p.m. you are out of luck because there is nothing left. Retarded shit.

Not tasty food, little to no taste. With a meal box 15 euros you are only allowed 1 type of tempeh. There was no trace of Indonesian cuisine, I threw the egg away.

The tjendol is ridiculously expensive, 6 euros apart from 5 cents.

I have been getting chicken curry, liver and hot chicken sandwiches here for quite some time now and I like them, although they are not always richly filled. Today I was there again and was shocked by the prices. Prices have simply been increased by more than 40%. From €3.50 to €4.95. I understand that the costs are increasing, but this is really crazy, unfortunately this was the last time, I now make them myself.

Very disappointed. Order your lontong with satay and atjar. 3 small pieces of lontong and 3 half raw satay sticks are added with a spoonful of satay sauce. Comes out of the microwave 2 minutes later, still raw on the inside, satay sauce overheated and bubbling dry on your plate. Atjar is forgotten. No feeling for Indonesian food at all. Looks like factory work. This may be tasty for the Dutch as they have no taste in food, but this is not edible for Indian people. Passionless

Yes, very tasty, but still the last time. After the lady served a small scoop of rice, I was laughed at when I asked for a scoop more. As punishment I was given minimal amount of chicken in the next steps, and had to ask if the egg could be added, because that's just part of it. Really dramatic, especially if you are a slightly bigger eater. Making fun of your customers costs customers.....

Deze plek is voor ons vertrouwd en zijn liefhebbers van de Indonesische keuken. Het interieur brengt je in de sfeer van een authentiek Indonesisch eethuis, en dat voelde vertrouwd. Het eten was gewoonweg geweldig. Ik kan niet genoeg benadrukken hoe heerlijk de gerechten waren. De rendang, nasi goreng en saté waren allemaal perfect bereid, met die echte Indonesische smaak die ik zo graag heb. Wat het helemaal afmaakt, is het vriendelijke personeel. Ze zijn zo attent en behulpzaam, en geven me soms aanbevelingen voor mijn maaltijd of snack. Toko Bali is absoluut een bezoek waard. Het is een plek waar gastvrijheid en geweldige smaken samenkomen voor een heerlijke ervaring

Niet lekker en heel duur. Ben er 2x geweest omdat je het altijd een tweede kans moet geven. Nooit meer!!!

Ben al jaren fan van hun broodjes alleen het laatste jaar is het achteruit gegaan. Broodjes zijn een stuk duurder geworden en er zit amper nog vlees op. Heb met bestellen ter plekke er iets van gezegd maar dan krijg je te horen dat ze van hun baas niet meer zo veel erop mogen doen. 19,80 voor 4 broodjes waar bijna niets op zit en waardoor het broodje er droog is. Jammer dan maar naar de buren Soulkitchen. Als ik de reviews hieronder lees denk ik dat ze weinig geleerd hebben van de opmerkingen.

Eten is goed maar niet echt bijzonder. Heb niet de indruk dat het vlees/kip voorafgaand een tijd lang is gemarineerd.

Beste smaak en betaalbaar , kip cashouw Zoet zuur kip Gratis auto’s parkeren , Altijd lekker eten en vriendelijk personeel. Ze hebben er ook bubble tea en tjendol. Handig ook dat je er gratis kan parkeren

Vanavond eten gehaald, superlekker. Vriendelijke dames achter de toonbank, al met al een geslaagde eerste keer.

Leuke zaak, heerlijk eten, vriendelijk personeel

Ik haal hier al geruime tijd broodjes kip kerrie, lever, hete kip en vind ze dus lekker, al zijn ze niet altijd echt rijk belegd. Vandaag was ik er ook weer en schrok van de prijzen. De prijzen zijn gewoon even met ruim 40% verhoogd. Van €3,50 naar €4.95. Ik snap dat de kosten hoger worden maar dit is echt idioot, dit was helaas de laatste keer, ik maak ze nu wel zelf.

Voor 84,90 vijf maaltijden gehaald. Mocht voor 5 personen maar twee soorten vlees uitkiezen en twee soorten groenten. Naar mijn idee had het gevarieerder gekund..je kan ook meer soorten in één bakje doen. Het wordt toch afgewogen. Prijsverhoging is normaal in deze tijd maar zó véél !! Zie foto

Lekker Indonesisch eten. Helaas behoorlijk ZOUT. Heel jammer want dat overstemd de Indonesische kruiden wat.

Naar deze tent gegaan nadat surimix helaas uitverkocht was. In beide gerechten (nasi met kip cashew + roti kip kerrie) was de kip erg droog. In de kip cashew zaten letterlijk 5 stukjes kip en geen cashew te vinden. De smaakt mag ook worden verbeterd. Ga hier nooit meer naartoe.

Was alweer lekker. broodje tempeh!

Lekker eten, vriendelijke mensen. Wat wil je nog meer? Ik niets. Rondom gelukkig dat Bali hier is.

Is meer een toko om snel iets af te halen. Nu iet echt gezellig en om te eten. Geen grote porties.

Vers. Veel groente. Netjes verpakt. Hygienisch. Afhaal is schoon en overzichtelijk. Was 5 min voor sluitingstijd en wilde voor 5 (!) personen groepsmaaltijd. Werd netjes en goed geholpen. Groepsmaaltijd kost €12 per persoon. Je krijgt afgewogen hoeveelheid rijst, bami, vlees en groente, satesaus en atjar. Per persoon 1 satestokje en gekookt ei. Pittig vind ik zelf gewoon lekker van smaak. Klachten over de droog; het is indonesisch eten, het hoort vrij droog te zijn. Zorg dat het heel goed heet is, en niet hele grote happen! Verder is het juist wel veel omdat het vlees of groente ook echt bijna dat is. Je hebt geen 20% of 40% saus, water of suiker! Pittige zoetzure kip is onze favoriet.

Smaak is prima. Voor een niet grote eter.🤔

Het eten was zalig,…alles zag er super uit en smaakte geweldig en dit voor een zeer betaalbare prijs .. Kortom , zeker voor herhaling en ik kan het iedereen aanraden als je goed en lekker eten weet te waarderen ; )

Lekker Indonesisch eten! Echt een aanrader!

Via via voor Toko Bali gekozen. 2x een nasi rames genomen. Het eten was zeker niet slecht maar we waren ook niet dolenthousiast qua smaken. De prijs wat aan de hoge kant voor de hoeveelheid eten die je krijgt. Wel lekker vers allemaal. Als snack voor een pasteitje gekozen... deze was erg lekker!!

Alles ziet er goed en schoon uit. Helaas hebben ze nog geen naam bordjes bij de gerechten

Lekker eten, maar vooral de bubbletea is superlekker! En aardige mensen die daar werken.

Dit keer alleen afhaal eten. Maar voortreffelijk en redelijk geprijsd. De smaak is ook goed en komt in de buurt van de ouderwetse Indische smaak. En dat is een compliment waard.

Het was weer eens heerlijk! Alles was lekker vers en mals. Vriendelijk geholpen in een mooie zaak. Echt een aanwinst voor Leidschenveen. Ik ben in ieder geval inmiddels vaste klant geworden. Ik snap niet hoeveel mensen eten, die klagen over de porties. Het was meer dan voldoende!

Bali Speciaal is niet " large" maar "Small". De smaak is lekker van de meeste gerechten. Alleen lamsvlees droog en taai.

Vandaag tijdens de pauze enkele losse vegetarische gerechten en een tjendol afgehaald. Ik heb de gerechten koud meegenomen en thuis opgewarmd (ik werk thuis). De gerechten waren heerlijk, echt goed van smaak! Superblij, eindelijk een toko op loopafstand van mijn huis.

Mooi winkel, aardig personeel . Na drie heerlijke broodjes gisteren een Bali Excellent gehaald. De naam alleen al legt de verwachtingen hoog. Op het beeldscherm staat 12,95, op de bon 13,50. Maar dat ter zijde. 2 soorten rundvlees en kip cashew. Als je geen kunstgebit kun je je er aan wagen maar wat een teleurstelling. Gort en gort droog, hard en taai en heel erg flauw/smakeloos. Geen tweede keer voor mij.

Gisteren daar geweest. Pastei en tjendol ter plaatse genuttigd. Martabak, klepon en lemper meegenomen. Pastei en tjendol smaakten goed. Ijs hoort in de tjendol. De Martbak was prima, de klepon hebben wij gestoomd was wel lekker maar wij vonden dat er te weinig gulah (suiker) in zat. De lemper gaan we vandaag proberen. De zaak zag er prima uit. Het personeel vonden wij erg vriendelijk. Voor herhaling vatbaar!

Wat een zure reviews voor deze startup in Leidschenveen, het was heerlijk, dames waren ook vriendelijk 🙂

Jammer! Vaste klant bij hun toko in the Mall of the Netherlands. Dus ook aan hun nieuwe toko een bezoek gebracht. Alleen de bediening was chagrijnig (niet druk, kan het niet aan liggen) en het vlees was van andere kwaliteit en dat is vreemd. Van binnen ziet het er prima uit, complimenten. maar hoe je ontvangen wordt en hoe het smaakt telt mee. Groot verschil met hun andere locatie. Misschien een incident
