Food was delicious, and the service was wonderful.

Stumbled upon this Thai place while staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Leiden. It's about a 10 minute walk if you walk real slow. From the amount of take out it's obviously a neighborhood favourite. The food is authentic and very flavorful. Really, really friendly place. They also do soft serve ice-cream. Yum.

We got takeout and the food was great. Authentic! Portions were generous. High quality shrimp! Wonderful walkable neighborhood family restaurant.

Fantastic place. We found it while on our way to the corpus experience and we are so positively surprised. Very welcoming and funny atmosphere. We ordered green curry and the special meal which was absolutely delicious. Big portions and good value for money. Highly recomended.

Just got cashew chicken. Very tasty food.

We came expecting to enjoy authentic Thai street food because of the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best and far from authentic Thai cuisine. The chicken satay was tender and quite tasty, but was plastered with the standard Dutch satay mush from the supermarket, which immediately brought it down. The much-praised beef with mango turned out to be a bland stir-fry that truly lacked any refinement. It was more boiled than fried beef, some bell peppers, a few mango cubes, and soy sauce. The end. It was a good way to quell hunger, but nothing more. The highlight, however, was the Pad Thai. Ordered with chicken, it came with the same boiled beef as the "Mango Beef." So far, so disappointing. The rest, however, had about as much in common with Pad Thai as chicken has with beef. Namely, nothing. Rice noodles in a tomato-heavy sauce with carrots and onions is not Pad Thai. Tamarind, fish sauce, palm sugar, fried egg, and Chinese garlic are the pillars of a true Pad Thai. None of that was present here. A real disappointment for a "street food" restaurant. The owners are friendly, have a great sense of humor, and are truly good hosts. However, the food was a huge disappointment if you're expecting authentic cuisine.

Wat hebben we hier heerlijk gegeten! Het is meer een snackbar dan een restaurant, maar als je het eten proeft waan je je met je ogen dicht een klein beetje in Thailand. De porties zijn ( voor mij te) groot! De bediening is heel vrolijk, kortom: een aanrader

I was charged 4 euros per person (8 total!!) for a table because I said we weren't from this city. The table price applied to more than one course. In addition, the yellow curry I ordered was bad, sweet and looked nothing like the yellow curry I know from my many visits to Thailand. I feel disappointed and cheated. I don't recommend this restaurant.

Actually it is a takeaway restaurant. Fortunately, there is a limited opportunity to stay for dinner. The staff is very friendly and the food was super tasty.

I saw the many good reviews of this store via Google. Picked up six different dishes today. When I placed my order, I indicated in the store that I wanted to put stickers on the containers so that I knew exactly what I had ordered at home. While waiting we also received a free soft ice cream because of the warm weather. When the order was ready after 12 minutes (!) (everything neatly packed in paper bags and with free prawn crackers), the employee had already stickered the containers for me! The prices are very reasonable, price/quality ratio for me a 9. When I got home, I opened and tasted the containers with the six other family members. A great diversity of flavors and the best part was: every dish in itself was delicious! Everyone unanimously agreed with me, next time we will order from here again.

We hebben hier echt de beste kwaliteit eten van heel Nederland gevonden. Als ware kenners van Thais eten, zowel in Nederland als in Thailand, kunnen we zeggen dat de kwaliteit hier echt bijzonder is. Vooral de Thaise soep Tom Kha Kai is een absolute aanrader. De ober is vriendelijk en heel persoonlijk, wat de ervaring nog beter maakt. Het is hier ontzettend druk, wat aangeeft hoe populair het restaurant is. Het is misschien geen chique restaurant, maar als je echt voor het heerlijke eten komt, dan is dit de plek waar je moet zijn.

We are used to quite a bit of Thai food, but we found it quite disappointing at Toko Lekki. We found it tasteless and it looked very pale. I had to add crispy chili oil at home to give it some flavor. The satay, on the other hand, was quite ok. By the way, I actually think €0.50 per plastic container if you take it with you or €4.00 if you eat it on the spot is rude. If you pick up, you will soon have to spend €3.00 on plastic containers. Grab your margin in a different way, but not like this. There is a nice shop atmosphere, but I would still advise people to pick up from Sisaket in Leiden. So much better food and much tastier!

Great Tai food but better people running the restaurant!

Great Thai restaurant where you can eat and take away delicious Thai dishes. Unparalleled taste and quality and have been for years, I have been coming here for 6.5 years.

In the middle of the residential area. Very warmly and amicably received. Food more than fine. Cozy, simple sitting with a newspaper magazine. Otherwise, nice lazy talk with the kearls.

The food was excellent, owner suggested Chiken Tiki which was a great choice. Everything was fresh and tasty. We walked over from the Hilton Garden Inn.

Just a short walk from the Hilton in Leiden is a great neighbourhood Thai restaurant. We were warmly welcomed by the gentleman running the front of house and were invited to chose where we wanted to sit. The table layout was a bit odd - with just a few mostly big tables, but we found a table for 4 and took that for the two of us. Each customer that came in during our meal was a regular, and easy to understand given the level of service, the speed of cooking and the quy of the food. The two starters and two main courses and a couple of beers was around 60 euro.

**OVER CHARGE** The food was okay. The portion is also good. We ate as a couple and we didn't know that if we eat there we have to pay a fee of €4 per person. If you want noodles or fried rice instead of normal rice, this also costs €4 extra. If this were communicated to customers in advance, they would at least have the opportunity to decide. So we would have paid around €36 instead of €48.

Food good but portions small and overpriced if you eat in the restaurant, you get charged 4€ more person versus prices listed on the menu 17€95 for vegetarian green curry with tofu is pricey for a simple takeaway eat place. Especially compared to their Internet site which mentioned that that the veggie green curry was 11€95

Every time we are in the area we go to Toko Lekki. Mega delicious and round taste. Super nice people in the snack bar. We have been there 3 times in a row, thank you for the hospitality and the delicious food.

Very friendly owner, we had the chicken satay and chicken lekkie which was really well prepared, especially the chicken lekkie which was a tip from the owner. Definitely recommended to try out.

Get takeaway food from here often. The food is really delicious and affordable. Large portions. Eating on site is not special, it would be nice to eat it at home.

Via Google zag ik de vele goede reviews bij deze toko. Vandaag zes zo veel mogelijk verschillende gerechten afgehaald. Bij mijn bestelling gaf ik in de winkel aan dat ik stickers op de bakjes wilde plakken zodat ik thuis wist wat ik precies had besteld. Tijdens het wachten kregen we ook nog een gratis softijsje vanwege het warme weer. Toen de bestelling na 12 min (!) klaar was (alles keurig ingepakt in papieren tassen en met gratis kroepoek) had de medewerker zelf al de bakjes voor mij bestickerd! De prijzen zijn zeer redelijk, prijs/kwaliteitverhouding voor mij een 9. Thuis gekomen heb ik met de zes andere familieleden de bakjes geopend en geproefd. Een grote diversiteit van smaken en het mooiste was: elk gerecht op zich was verrukkelijk.! Iedereen was het unaniem met mij eens, de volgende keer bestellen wij hier opnieuw.

We zijn een andere kwaliteit gewend. Het was OK maar daar hield het ook bij op. Misschien omdat het al later en rustig was. Er zaten zeker goed Thaise smaken in maar al met al was het niet met de passie voor het land gemaakt. De kip had ook zo op een tortilla gekund. Ik ga het nog wel een keer proberen maar hopen dat het dan beter is.

Best place with the best people! Seriously made our trip to the Netherlands worth it! So good we came back.

Had a bite to eat on the way to Soldaat van Oranje. Delicious! Friendly service, large portions and above all very tasty. We are not from the area, but we will definitely visit again.

The food was delicious, cozy atmosphere, nice to eat there on the spot! I was surprised when I had to pay separately for the rice and that the prices on the menu apparently only applied to the sauce. I was told afterwards that this was because I ate there and did not pick up and therefore also paid for the service. That's fine in principle, but perhaps a separate menu is a solution? I was less pleased that I unexpectedly had to pay a few euros more. The portion of rice could also be a little larger, but that was mainly because the sauce was so tasty, there was just not enough rice to combine it with the sauce.

If you like a casual place with authentic and delicious Thai food plus and feel like you're part of the family, this place is for you. We had a soup, chicken lumpia, a pad thai and a lekki. Everything was superb. They mostly do takeout but there are a few seats for dining inside. They also sell soft serve ice cream. It is within walking distance or short drive from the Hilton Garden Inn.

Small restaurant that looks like a snack bar and is located in a very cute residential area. The cuisine is pretty, delicious, generous and seems authentic. The waiter was friendly and attentive to us who didn't really speak Dutch. He also gave us some tourist advice which was very appreciated. If you pass by there, take the time to stop there.

Ambiance and food are first class! Service is friendly. It is a very popular place, so it is probably better to order a take away and enjoy it at home, as many people are doing. A couple of tables are available outside. Portions were big and tastes were authentic. Totally recommend!

Bought takeaway, food was alright, price was rather steep for what I got. So high, in fact, that it became the reason for my rather harsh rating. I was torn, since usually, when in doubt, I choose to round up in favour of ratee, but at almost double the price of what it should be imho, I really couldn't justify this.

In the sleek Oegstgeest, a place that is not so organized is a relief. At Toko Lekkie you will feel like you are in Asia. The food is freshly prepared in the open kitchen by Lekkie and crew. This is the best Thai food I ever had out of Thailand. I have eaten Thai in many countries, and there usually is a local twist to the taste. However, this is a very authentic Thai food that tastes amazing. The flavors brought me back to the beautiful country that I visited a few times. We had a green Thai curry with beef tenderloin, chicken Pad Thai and chicken skewers with peanut sauce and all were spectacular. The owner is very friendly and the place seems to be very popular with people around the area, and no wonder—it's a gem of a restaurant. Will definitely be back for more.

The food was delicious. Chicken Lekki, super delicious! Massaman Beef was very mild, but tasty. For us next time a slightly spicier, but fortunately enough choice! The dishes are of the right size, you can almost eat 1 dish together.

Super tasty food and really warming personnel despite their english not being so fluent. Good prices. Probably because it’s not a touristic location, but an english menu would have really helped. Indeed I ended up eating a super spicy dish (almost in tears) with mushroom that I don’t like much. Nevertheless this was still part of the experience that made my day in Leiden, a day to be remembered. Surely recommended

What a place! We ordered via phone and the owner gave us some menu tips and set the tone for a fun pickup. When first arriving at the pickup point, I was a bit skeptical. The place looks to be in temporary housing on the edge of a new residential area. But if you forget the run down look and focus on what you are doing there; boy can they prepare genuine tasting Thai food! Best dishes with the true authentic Thai flavors we have had since leaving Thailand. True hidden gem!!

Very nice people and a nice uncomplicated atmosphere. Maybe it's a matter of taste, but for me there is way too much sugar in the dishes I ate. It was the chicken Lekki and the green curry. I won't try the other meals because we probably don't have the same taste preferences. But given the many customers, sweet is probably the taste of the majority. Try it yourself with these hospitable people. Maybe you have a match.
