Little Indonesian gem. The food was delicious with authentic flavors. We visited with 5 adults and the portions were well enough. The service was good and the lady of the restaurant was very kind. As the place is relatively small, it still had a very nice atmosphere compared to other Indonesian restaurants in the area. We definitely recommend this place and their Iga Bakar is the dish to try out, as well as their cendol. All in all, definitely worth 5 stars.

So perfect tasting Indonesian food. Fresh tasty and delicious. The restaurant is very small so you really need to reserve a place. The owners were really friendly to prolongue the opening time for us - thank you.

If you want to find a legit Indonesian restaurant in NL, then go to Pak Camat. Their food feels like home, the portion is so generous it’s huge. Always eat iga bakar here, the meat is melting in your mouth. And Bebek Goreng for takeaway, which also mindblowingly delicious especially their Kremes. I came here at least 1x a month to taste the home food.

Good food, good service. Too bad there are not many tables, and too bad about the small toilet. Make a reservation first if you are going to eat with some company! But overall good food and with Indonesian background music, it feels like you are in Indonesia for a while.

My first visit, yesterday, was a pleasant experience. The service was prompt and polite but the place is very small and it became crowded very quickly - a good indicator - so reservations are recommended. Alas there is no wine or other alcoholic drink available, only zero-alcohol beer - a clear LPO!

Totally love it! 😭 I came with my friend without a reservation because we hadn't checked beforehand, but the owner still let us order, thankfully. 🙏🏼🫶🏼😭 We ordered 'iga bakar', 'bakso iga bakar', 'es jeruk', and 'tempe mendoan'. All tasted really good, even the kerupuk was tasty. The 'es jeruk' was quite different from what we usually had in Indonesia, but it was really refreshing! Love the campursari music as well!

Real Indonesian food, delicious, the service leaves something to be desired, but that in itself is not a problem. The food makes up for everything.

Today we ate a rice table for lunch with 19 friends. It was not only super delicious but also very enjoyable and the service was great! All dishes were delicious and served hot at the same time. We had a blast! A very friendly atmosphere and highly recommended! We will be back very soon! Ps: we could take home what was left in containers.

Very tasty food. Accidentally ordered mendoan, and didn't regret it at all because it was so tasty! The iga bakar and sate kambing were also very tasty! We will come here more often 😊 Book in advance, because there are limited seats.

Unfortunately I cannot share the good reviews. You can also heat food for too long so that it is no longer edible. Meat therefore tough and everything overheated. A waste of money once and never again.

Growing up in East Java, I can be sure this place is a Home of East Javanese foods. The Iga Bakar, Fried Tempe and Bebek Goreng are a must dish to order from here. I ordered Bebek Goreng (Fried Duck) and Bakso Iga Bakar (Beefballs soup with Grilled Beef Ribs) to dine in and Nasi Goreng with Iga Bakar as well as Fried Tempe to take home. To my surprise, the nasi goreng has a similarity taste to my late mom nasi goreng who was from East Java. Although I tried the bakso but it won't be my first choice to order again. Friendly owner and staff for sure.

Unfortunately, normally very satisfied, but unfortunately I fell ill yesterday after picking up the item. The egg tasted strange and different than normal.

Restaurant Toko Pak Camat in Voorschoten is definitely worth a visit. The iga bakar and tempeh mendoan come highly recommended; both dishes are tasty with authentic flavors. While the space in the restaurant is a bit small, it is still comfortable enough for a dinner for two or a family of four. Due to its popularity, it is recommended to make a reservation well in advance if you plan to dine there. If you are coming by car, you can park at the small indoor parking lot “Parkeergarage Deltaplein”, which is about 5-minute walk to the restaurant.

The real authentic Indonesian restaurant. Iga bakar is the most famous menu in this place. I’d suggest to reserve your place before coming, since it doesn’t have big space.

Ate at this store for the first time. We started with the Tempeh Mendoan, (fried tempeh cookies) Recommended. As a main, the Iga Goreng Jawa (kind of like beef spare ribs, Top) and the Ayam Goreng Seru, also delicious. We enjoyed it. Too bad they don't serve beers.

Had a fantastic meal at Pak Camat! I've been here several times and every time the food is delicious. It doesn't matter which dish you choose on the menu, everything is equally tasty. In addition, the owner is a very friendly man. My personal favorites are the Iga Bakar, Tempe Mendoan and the Gado Gado. Make sure to make a reservation in advance if you want to eat there. Recommended!

The best authentic Indonesian food. I highly recommend their Iga Bakar, bakso, mendoan tempeh (for appetizer), ikan bakar, Bebek Goreng, and Sate… all delicious. And they cook them with the original Indonesian recipe. So tasty!!! The resto is quite small, so always make a reservation before your visit, otherwise big possibility you need to takeaway. The rice tafel menu is also very nice, but the menu above is super!!! 10 out of 10.

Lucky to have this great Indonesian restaurant nearby. Their specialties are definitely worth a try and quite authentic tasting; Sate kambing, Iga bakar, Soto ayam, Bakso, Rawon, Gulai Kambing... Cendol too!

One of the few Indonesian shops in the region where you can eat delicious authentic non-standard Indonesian dishes, such as iga bakar or rawon. We came especially for these dishes. The tjendol also tastes good. Price-quality is top, in the big cities you now spend a lot more for this food. I think the negative reviews are unjustified when it comes to the size of the restaurant or the in and out of people who come to pick up. If you want luxury and comfort and want to enjoy an extensive dinner, it is better to go to the larger restaurants where the food is of lower quality. Also good to know, many people with real Indonesian roots also eat here, which always says a lot about the quality of the food. So recommended!

Best grilled fish I've had in the Netherlands! We immediately felt like we were back in Indonesia with all the food. The tempeh cookies and even the lava cake and mango ice cream were also delicious. Recommended!

I came here for the bakso and it tasted delicious. A friend ordered rawon and as a person who was born in Surabaya, where rawon comes from, he said it's an authentic rawon outside Surabaya. Meanwhile, my partner ordered their gulai and he said it's super tasty. Their es cendol also to die for. Very creamy, not too sweet, and refreshing. The restaurant seems well known by the locals. I met a few locals who previously lived in Indonesia and said that this restaurant's food has brought back memories. The back song, the kindness and hospitality, it's amazing.

Came in for dinner with friends. Got the igar bakar, gado gado, satay skewers and rendang. The igar bakar was perfect, meat was nice and tender and was very flavourful. The gado gado was ok but had room for improvement (the sauce was just average) and the salad itself needed more texture. The chicken skewers had great texture and the meat was moist (felt like the same sauce as the gado gado was used but it was fine for the skewers). The rendang had amazing flavour but the beef texture was not that great (I feel a fattier cut of beef could be used). Only thing missing was that there was no grilled or fried chicken (very rarely come across an Indonesian restaurant that doesnt have ayam)…. since that’s predominantly what makes up the menu of a traditional Indonesian restaurant (wanted to introduce our friends to Indonesian cuisine for the first time and was difficult with no grilled/fried chicken on the menu). Sambal was fantastic and so was the es cendol. Customer service was great (although I feel there should be an English menu also). Food came out pretty fast and was freshly cooked. Definitely worth a visit if you are craving Igar Bakar as this appears to be one of the only restaurants that have it on their menu and they definitely prepare it well.

Though situated between Den Haag and Leiden, the slight distance didn't deter us from savoring one of the finest Indonesian cuisines in town. Having visited thrice, i can confidently say that this is among the best Indonesian culinary experiences, albeit Lapek Jo which still holds the best Minangese culinary throne. The signature Iga Bakar was an absolute delight, showcasing its superior taste and authenticity. The Ikan Bakar didn't disappoint either, offering a truly Indonesian culinary experience, presented in an intriguing and authentic manner. The Tempe Mendoan was another standout, ranking among the best in the Netherlands. Pairing our meal with an ice tea, reminiscent of Teh Botol, added another layer of authenticity to our Indonesian culinary journey. Though the place isn't expansive, it comfortably accommodates several groups. The owner's warm hospitality and helpful nature only added to the charm. Without a doubt, Pak Camat comes highly recommended for those seeking an authentic Indonesian dining experience.

The food served here is just first class. I can recommend the iga bakar (beef bbq ribs), tempe mendoan (fried tempeh) or try the nasi rawon. It's worth catching the train from the Hague for this one.

Just got a rice table for two. Nasi/mihoen, chicken satay. Beef Rendang/chicken cashew, spicy beans/vegetables in fresh coconut. Taste great! Compliments! Back again soon.

Got it once and ate here once. The last time the birth did not go well and we suffered from abdominal distension and belching. The food is slightly better than what other shops/restaurants serve, but the quality is not consistent. Negatives: price/quantity/quality is a negative. If you pick up, the prices are much lower, the quantity for pick up is more than double. The prices in the restaurant are quite high for Indonesian food in a store. Drink prices out of proportion. The amount of rice is very little. It's not a restaurant. The collectors are close to the tables. The tables are connected to the front door, so very drafty and cold, especially with this cold. Little attention from the staff to the diners. Your clothes smell really bad and can go into the wash after you've been here. The menu includes grilled dishes, but these are clearly fried and not grilled. When asked, no answer is given. Conclusion too expensive for the quality and service. You don't leave with a satisfied, full feeling.

Last year I went here with my husband and kids and the experience was lovely. The food was absolutely delicious and it really brought out the Indonesian food culture. I highly recommend going here and I will definitely be coming back here again.

I like the service. They're so kind. Most of them can speak Dutch and also Bahasa Indonesia. The space is quite small but during my time there, that wasn't a big issue. I do love the food. Really Indonesian taste. I ordered jeruk panas, iga bakar, tempe mendoan, and rawon, and they're good. I ever tried some Indonesian restaurant in the Netherlands, and I would say this is one of my top 3 restaurants here so far. It's worthy to travel to Voorschoten for this restaurant.

Was having our lunch at Toko Pak Camat last Saturday, we came without appointment and the restaurant was totally full. I was then kindly talking to the restaurant owner if it is possible or not to wait for dine in? He asked my number n called me not so long as soon as one of the table free. Foods were all outstanding 10/10. The only downpart was the place is too small for lots of people that keep on coming and going to sit and eat there. My recommendation is making appointment before you go there.

De verhouding tussen betaalbare prijs, porties en de smaak is heel erg goed en verrukkelijk lekker. Authentieke Indonesisch gerechten en belangrijk is geen Indische gerechten ( gekookt voor de westerse die weinig originele smaak heeft ). We hebben ter plekke gegeten : gado gado, rawon, tempe medoan, bakso, soto ayam, sate kambing, iga bakar, rames … alle gerechten zijn authentiek en super lekker. We komen vaak terug ! We hopen de smaak van het eten altijd gebleven en niet in de toekomst veranderd want Indonesisch eten is lekkerder dan Indische eten !!

Heb een Nasi Ramas genomen met Rendang, Ayam Bedis, Sajoer Lodeh, S.G. Boontjes en een Telor. Had daarnaast nog een Soto Ayam als voorgerecht 😉 Ook nog wat snacks meegenomen voor de volgende dag (lemper &Pastei) In tijden niet meer zooo lekker Indonesisch gegeten. Is daarnaast ook nog goedkoper dan veel slechtere toko's in de omgeving. Een echte aanrader.
