Had a small family-dinner on Tuesday. I believe that during weekdays it's more a business atmosphere. Hoever, the food and wine were excellent, the service outstanding! Personally, I would most definitely recommend their perfect asperagus soup as a starter.

The food was excellent. The food and wine pairings were also well thought out. As a wine connoisseur, I can compliment the extensive wine list. There is also a large number of wines by the glass of the type you don't drink every day.

Had a fantastic meal on Grandpa & Grandma Day on June 4th with our grandchildren. Only our grandchildren had to pay; grandpa and grandma ate for free—a fantastic deal.

We dined here on May 22, 2026, to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. A very warm welcome and friendly service. The food and wine were explained well. Thanks to the beautiful weather, we were able to sit outside. Furthermore, a very beautiful dessert with a personal congratulation in Italian.

Yesterday afternoon, we enjoyed some delicious Italian food and drinks again. It was a fantastic afternoon with delicious dishes, fine wines, and friendly service. A Pranzo just like we are used to in Italy. It was a real treat again, and we felt like we were back in Italy for a moment.

Once again, it was a treat to dine here. It was exquisite again, and as we have come to expect, there was a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and professional, sweet, and very friendly service.

At Buoni Amici, you always feel welcome. The welcome is most cordial, and the atmosphere is convivial. The evening begins wonderfully with some delicious bread, fantastic olive oil, and salt and pepper. That's a treat in itself. The menu offers a variety of fine dishes, always pure and unpretentious. There are also a number of delicious specials. The expert staff always knows how to pair these dishes with a wonderful wine. Once the dishes are served, there's no need to ask who's having which dish, even if a colleague has taken the order. The desserts are also always excellent. Affogato is always available off the menu. After all these delicacies, there's also a limoncello. Every visit is a fantastic experience.

We had a wonderful meal here. We're used to eating Italian food, and the food was absolutely comparable to what you'd find in Italy. It's a shame the restaurant didn't smell of Italian food, and the decor couldn't have been further removed from the Italian atmosphere. The interior was dull and impersonal. The service was good, but felt stiff and pretentious. We were supposed to have potatoes with our order, but they didn't arrive. The menu says "extra bread," which we assume means you'll get bread anyway and can order more, but the only basket of bread that arrived was included on the bill. Dishes come with some garnishes. Vegetables, potatoes, etc., have to be ordered separately. That ultimately adds up.

We ended up here while staying overnight near Schiphol. This restaurant exudes craftsmanship in both the kitchen and the service. Hospitality as it should be! I love dining out, but I've rarely had such a wonderful experience thanks to the high-quality food and friendly, helpful staff! Keep up the good work!

A warm welcome, friendly and knowledgeable staff, a good wine list, and a fantastic atmosphere. A restaurant with a distinct Italian feel. The food was fine, though not every dish was fantastic. Burrata was too cold, pumpkin soup delicious, ravioli tasty but way too salty. The meat was superb. Dessert was fine. Tastes are a matter of taste. What keeps us from visiting this restaurant again is the amount of food you get for the price. The price is completely off. Ten pieces of ravioli for that price made even me, a not-so-big-eater, laugh. Consider it positive feedback.

The dessert was so delicious we'd happily have taken a portion home – including the recipe! The hospitality also deserves a huge compliment. The hosts exuded professionalism and warmth, as if they'd always done it. We felt incredibly welcome and well cared for. If I had to offer one piece of feedback, it would be the portion size – for the price you pay, you expect a slightly more substantial plate (especially vegetables and potatoes; the vitello with the starter could have been more generous). Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back!

Great restaurant! A warm welcome, coats were politely taken and hung up. Upon departure, they were handed back, and the ladies were helped into theirs. Pleasant atmosphere, soft background music, and despite the large number of guests, it was easy to chat peacefully. The food was very tasty, a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. I always take colleagues to this place, and everyone likes it. One of my colleagues from the US said if this is a score 10/10 in my region I don't get higher than a 5-6 that's the level of quality of food, wine and service! Well done again

Went there with work colleagues for dinner. Everything from the moment we walked in was amazing. We got greeted in a very pleasant way, they took our coats and put them away somewhere where there was absolutely no smell on them when we got them back. The atmosphere is super nice, romantic but urban, quiet but not too quiet, dark but not too dark, and very well balanced. You could smell the cooking but very, very lightly when you walked in, and it smelled soooooo good. The appetizer was phenomenal , main dishes made it hard to choose which one to get as they were all amazing , the dessert was great, and the wine was so good we had to get another bottle. The person serving us knows everything about the food and the wine and was super attentive but not too attentive. Well done!!!

Without a doubt, the best Italian restaurant in the area in terms of quality, but that's understandable considering the prices. What's missing is a surprising extra, like an amuse-bouche or something different than the standard glass of limoncello or a prepackaged cantuccini with your coffee you get at any other restaurant. There's a wide selection of wines, but even here, the prices are a bit steep. The staff is welcoming and friendly, but I think this should be standard fare.

We are (or rather, were) regulars at Buoni Amici, which, while expensive, we considered a good choice for "more than pizza" Italian food in Hoofddorp. But what happened to us last night is truly indescribable. I had the sea bass. I have above-average taste and smell. This sea bass simply wasn't fresh. Not really spoiled either, but bordering on the edge. It had a smell that wasn't right (for those in the know, it's due to elevated polyamine concentrations). After taking two bites, I sent the sea bass back, saying this and also that I didn't want another (I'd lost my appetite). Within 30 seconds, a very agitated chef arrived at the table and loudly announced that the fish was good. He also took a bite of the fish (with his fingers...) at our table to demonstrate that what I said was all BS. His tone and choice of words were intimidating and aggressive. I calmly repeated my findings and at one point I said I wanted to end the conversation because the chef was really going crazy. It was truly awful and extremely unprofessional. The rest of the staff were completely speechless... To top it all off, the dish wasn't removed from the bill. It was over €270 (3 appetizers, 4 main courses, no desserts (of course not, haha), nor a bottle of wine). Truly scandalous treatment. We will never go back there.

We were expecting a real trattoria with authentic, simple Italian food at fair prices but unfortunately, this was not the case. The staff was friendly, but the service felt more focused on selling than creating a warm atmosphere. The truffle pasta was disappointing and lacked flavor, while the ribeye steak was excellent. There was no children’s menu. Overall, prices and ambiance do not match what you would expect from a true trattoria.
