We opted for the three-course "Chef's Choice" lunch menu. A lovely, light, and flavorful meal. Highly recommended!

We weren't treated very kindly by the slightly older gentleman serving us. He started a bizarre argument with us. The evening was ruined. Fortunately, a younger waiter came and made up for a lot. The food was awful. But because of this older gentleman, we won't be eating there again.

Didn't eat, but enjoyed two delicious hot chocolates by a warm stove. Served nicely, but the milk could have been a bit warmer so the chocolate melts better.

Tonight we had a 5-course surprise menu here with a matching wine pairing. We were very surprised by the variety of delicious dishes and the wonderful wines. It was lovely outside on the terrace, and the desserts... and the limoncello... delicious... and finished off with a wonderful espresso! Perfect... absolutely fantastic!

What a topper! Delicious snack platter for lunch and the next day a delicious dinner. And all this with fantastic service, hospitality with a capital E! We enjoyed the dishes but also your service 👍🏼

Every time we come back here we are surprised by the good kitchen and also service. All dishes are deliciously prepared and a very extensive menu. We always come back here. Tip, the surprise menu never disappoints.

Chocolate milk on the terrace. Bland lukewarm milk frothed with some chocolate at the bottom. After stirring, chocolate milk should become... I can't taste it... the second worst chocolate milk ever. (The worst was vegan....)

A few days near Schagen. So almost at our destination we had something to eat at Sophia. A kind of cold Italian pizza. Richly topped/filled. What delicious sliced ​​meat. Trosquito? mozzarella onion etc. Another dish pumpkin soup Cratons and lekkr spicy. And capachino and a drink later. Everything tasted good and was well taken care of. Service very friendly. It looks cozy inside and outside. The food was fine, nothing special. The evening I ate there it was very busy so it was noisy in the small space. It was also very warm inside, which was very annoying for me. It was completely hot in the toilets. There were candles burning in the toilets, so a woman with longer hair had to be careful not to let her hair sway. I thought it was dangerous. Furthermore, the staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a delicious meal, we were with friends and there was actually no room left, because we had not made a reservation, but with a little pushing we managed to make it.

Downright lousy, first asked if there was room inside, no, we are full, you can eat outside. But when I eat on the terrace there are always people who ruin it for me with their smoking. Anyway, we sat outside and ordered drinks and bruschetta. Bruschetta on some kind of grilled bun with very scant herbs. Little taste. Then we wanted to go for the 2nd round and yes there is my fear, a lady who smokes. I asked if she wanted to break up with him but no, no response. I just ran away to the waiter and complained about it smokers and what was possible then, sitting inside. We left full of disappointments. And I'm not coming back.

The four of us settled down in Trattoria Sophia on Thursday, September 12, 2024 after spending a week on Texel and having our last dinner here to conclude. We had a wonderful evening at Trattoria Sophie in Schagen! Wonderfully located on a beautiful square. The welcome was friendly and we were able to choose a nice spot ourselves. No rush on this terrace, plenty of time for a chat with the guests and villagers who passed by. We start with Bruschetta, the waiter politely asked if we wanted 2 or 4 pieces. We kept it to 2 pieces and they were served beautifully and we both received a plate, cutlery and napkin, which is what I like! My ordered starter was served upon request with the main course without strange looks. My husband's main course was delicious with more than enough fish and the salad offered was also very tasty. We then ordered 1x Tiramisu and it was served with 2 forks, then you completely understand. The wine of which we had ordered a bottle was also neatly served as soon as our glass was empty. Chapeau for both the great service and the kitchen, thanks!

Restaurant gemütlich und sehr nette / aufmerksame Bedienung. Hund war auch willkommen. Spaghetti Carbonara waren gut, aber noch Luft nach oben. Fisch war sehr lecker, dafür die dazu servierten Kartoffeln nur genügend.

Voor moederdag de speciale moederdagbrunch gereserveerd. Het was top geregeld! Van 3 naar 5 naar 9 personen.. was even puzzelen omdat het druk was maar super goed geregeld. Heerlijke prosecco, daarna een verschillende kleine broodjes, bruschettas, salade en ei. Een zoete afsluiting met o.a. tiramisu, chocolade mousse, citroenijs met prosecoo etc.. echt heerlijk gegeten. Bediening was erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Echt een aanrader!

It was okay, the pizza wasn't special and the selection was very poor.

Hier voor het eerst gezeten. 1 van de bediende was erg onaangenaam. Deed wel vriendelijke, maar je voelde je niet echt welkom. We wilde dinner, maar besloten voor een borrel plank te gaan. Leuk opgediend, maar het waren 3 soorten worsten op een plank neergelegd. Leek wel uit een verpakking te komen en zo de plank op gegooid. 3 toast achtige cracker erbij. Totaal niet genoeg voor 2 personen. Voor een borrelplan en 4 drankjes was je gewoon 58,50 kwijt. Als de bediening nou nog wat enthousiast was en beleefd had het allemaal minder erg geweest, maar buiten dat is het eten dus ook zwaar teleurstellend.

The extremely cozy restaurant offers a small but good menu. The food was delicious, without a doubt. The beautiful and extensive terrace is an additional asset.

Paasbrunch besteld. Paasbruch was voorzien van allerlei lekkere kleine hapjes. Bestond uit 2 verschillende “ plankjes”. Maar het eten was heel erg afgemeten per persoon en zelfs soms (veel) te weinig. Was erg karig en lang niet genoeg. Brunch kostte 24,95 en daar heeft men goed op verdiend. Voor een paas brunch viel het erg tegen. Bediening was wel goed en de entourage was ook gezellig.

My partner and I wanted something different than a standard Italian meal. So then we came across Tratorria Sophia. From the outside it looked cozy. Once inside, we hung up our coats and were assigned a table. It then took a very long time before we were asked if we wanted something to drink, at least ten minutes (while it was still incredibly quiet). The waitresses seemed very disinterested. Once we got our food my partner noticed that there was a hair in the food. The staff responded very 'laughingly' to this. And then we also had an argument with the waitress, because she was very difficult to bring a new plate. She even said the chef said this must probably be a hair from my partner. Another point of attention, the noise level from the kitchen was so loud that we could no longer even have a normal conversation. This was mainly due to the chef, he was just laughing, singing and roaring. And of course there should be a bit of fun in the workplace, but not so much that it could bother guests. This is the first and last time for us.

In an almost empty place at 5 p.m. I couldn't get a normal table just to have a drink. Placed at a high table and none of the 4 ladies in the service want to come and take your order in the next 10 minutes

Beautiful setup and charming atmosphere

Klanten doen er hier toe. Ze krijgen de aandacht. Aan het eten mankeerde niets. Voor een vervolg vatbaar.

Net aangekomen uit het buitenland omdat er een familielid was overleden legde onze zoon zijn telefoon aan de lader en gebruikte het stopcontact bij ons tafeltje, waarna iemand van het personeel onze bestelling kwam opnemen en vervolgens onze zoon de les las dat hij dat eerst wel had kunnen vragen. We waren te verbluft om te reageren, in deze digitale tijdperk zie je tegenwoordig bij bijna alle restaurants laadstations bij tafeltjes voor laptops en telefoons. Het was gewoon een rare binnenkomst voor ons, dat we nadat we gingen zitten meteen de les werden gelezen alsof we kleuters waren die iets stouts hadden gedaan. Achteraf hadden we misschien meteen moeten opstappen, maar we zaten zo vol emoties en waren te verbluft om te reageren. Wij hebben het als klant ontvriendelijk ervaren in elk geval.

Was soll ich sagen, dieses Restaurant ist der Wahnsinn. Reservieren lohnt sich vor allem am Wochenende! Die Einrichtung ist so so schön, jedesmal entdeckt man etwas neues. Es passt einfach alles zusammen. Der Wein spitze. Das Essen ein Traum. Es ist seinen Preis auf jeden Fall wert. Die Pizzen sind recht groß, eigentlich braucht man keine Vorspeise, wären diese nicht so lecker. Die Kellnerin war sehr lieb. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Gerne werden wir wieder kommen. Update: wir waren nun zwei weitere male in unserem Urlaub hier. Wir haben ein paar Gerichte probiert und sind mehr als begeistert! Ganz große Empfehlung!! Noch ein Update: Wir hatten ein ganz tollen Restaurantbesuch. Trotz Reservierung haben wir „nur“ einen Platz mit Barhockern bekommen, das war schade, denn die Pizza konnte man in der Höhe nur schwer schneiden. Wir hatten eine ganz tolle Kellnerin, sie hatte wirklich alles im Blick, sogar zwei ältere Menschen die Hilfe bei der Tür brauchten, sofort war sie da. Sie hat uns wirklich toll bedient und trotz der Sprachbarrieren hat alles super geklappt. Dankeschön :) Das Essen war wie immer toll. Im nächsten Urlaub kommen wir wieder! Der nächste Urlaub ist schon wieder vorbei, der Besuch war wie immer wunderschön, leider waren unsere Pizzen ziemlich verbrannt. Sehr schade.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, waarna dat we aan tafel zaten onze zoon meteen de les werd gelezen dat het in het vervolg wel netjes was geweest als hij eerst om toestemming had moeten vragen nadat hij zijn telefoon aan de oplader had gelegd in het stopcontact bij ons tafeltje. We waren als familie net aangekomen uit het buitenland omdat er een familielid was overleden, nog vol verdriet en lege telefoons,terwijl we bereikbaar moesten zijn voor familie. Het voelde op dat moment dat we een stel keluters waren die een standje kregen. Achteraf hadden we gewoon op moeten stappen, maar we waren te verbluft en te vol van verdriet om erop te reageren. In deze digitale tijdsperk zijn er in het buitenland in elk geval bijna bij alle eetgelegenheden oplaadpunten voor je telefoon en/of laptops. Dit was voor ons niet meer dan normaal om je lege telefoon op te laden als er een stop contact bij je tafel aanwezig is.

Lekker gegeten, sfeervol ingericht

We hebben super gezellig gezeten en heerlijk gegeten. Een leuke ambiance met Italiaanse sferen. De bediening is zeer vriendelijk. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Das Ambiente vor Ort ist schön. Eine Bedienung stand gelangweilt hinter dir Theke und die andere war total gestresst am bedienen. Die Pizza war okay, leider nur lauwarm.

Hier in juli met 4 personen gegeten op een doordeweekse dag. Er was alleen nog plaats buiten. Helaas wat last van rokers. Het eten was prima, en iha voldoende,maar voor 1 van ons was het bestelde gerecht te klein van formaat.

Super Pizza in nettem Ambiente!

Außergewöhnliches, gutes Essen, guter Wein, ein schöner Grappa, freundliche Bedienung. Ein rundum gelungener Abend. Zu empfehlen!

Bestelde wijn niet meer verkrijgbaar per fles. Er werd geen alternatief geadviseerd. Na verloop van tijd zelf maar naar binnen gegaan, en een wijnkaart gehaald (er was geen bediening op het terras te bekennen). De fles die wij uitgezocht hadden was ook niet meer verkrijgbaar. Het alternatief was gelijk + €11. Reservering gecancelled, afgerekend en verderop gegaan. Hier vroeger veel gegeten en het was altijd top. Dit was echter al de 2e mindere ervaring in korte tijd. Het momentum van Sophia lijkt voorbij. Jammer!

Das positive zuerst, ein sehr schönes Restaurant, aber... Der Service war freundlich aber total überfordert und das Essen.... Meine Frau hatte einen Auberginen-Auflauf bestellt. Nach 45 Minuten bekam sie ein verbranntes Gericht auf einem kalten Teller serviert - ungenießbar. Angeblich war der Backofen defekt und man hat improvisieren müssen... Mein Fleisch war auch nicht richtig warm. Auf die Rechnung haben wir dann wieder unendlich warten müssen und zum kassieren kam dann auch niemand. Irgendwann haben wir dann die Rechnung bar bezahlt und sind einfach gegangen.

Leuke tent, goede bediening en echt Italiaans eten! Zeker een aanrader voor wie op zoek is naar een tentje weg van de massa maar in het centrum van Schagen!

Heerlijk gegeten in dit sfeervol restaurantje,ook de bediening is top,zeer vriendelijk.

Heerlijk 4 gangen verrassingsmenu op. Uitstekende bediening, zeer vriendelijk. Een volle zaak zorgde ervoor dat het wat rumoerig was, gelukkig zelf lang getafeld dus werd gedurende de avond beter.

Sehr stilvoll eingerichtetes Restaurant. Die Preise sind zwar etwas gehoben aber die Gerichte sind diesen Preis definitiv wert. Der Service war perfekt. Jederzeit wieder wenn ich in der Nähe bin!

Erg gezellig gegeten en wat gedronken.

Fijne bediening en vlot ook, geen lange leegstand ofzo. Toch maar 3 sterren omdat ik op het eten beoordeel. Zoals eerder omschreven kleine gerechten, wat prima is mits er goede smaaksensatie is, vooral voor Italiaanse maaltijden is dit cultureel erg belangrijk. Ik voelde het niet, de pizza van mijn kinderen was niet heel krokant, wel rustig bedekt (positief). Mijn spaghetti carbonara was hmm oke naar lichtelijk bitter, maar vond mijn eigen zelf gemaakte carbonara veel authentieker. De lasagne van mijn vrouw was ook niet echt een beleving maar ook wel oké. Al met al hoop ik echt dat ze de keuken gaan verbeteren, bediening is helemaal top. Over een paar maanden misschien nog is proberen, je weet maar nooit misschien lezen ze de reviews en doen ze er wat mee.

Essen war lecker und der Service war auch gut. Aber die Preise sind ziemlich unverschämt dort im Vergleich zu den Nachbar Restaurants.

Zentrale Lage, von der Terrasse schöner Blick auf die große Schagener Kirche. Übersichtliche Karte mit jeweils 3 bis 4 Gerichten aus der italienischen Menüfolge, getreu des Mottos 'weniger ist mehr'. Sehr leckere Spaghetti Carbonara mit frischen Nudeln und guten Zutaten. Empfehlenswertes Ragout nach Art des Hauses. Freundlicher Service.

Gezellige ambiance. Gerechtjes zijn erg karig maar wel lekker. Helaas met honger de deur weer uit na een 4 gangen menu incl. bruschetta en brood vooraf. En dan zijn we geen grote eters. Is het geld naar mijn idee helaas niet waard!
