My boyfriend, my brother, and I just came to eat at the Venlo truck stop. We had been waiting for a good 25 minutes before anyone came to us. After those 25 to 30 minutes, our "sweet" Annette came to take our order. She was very pushy and completely unsympathetic to the customer. I'm already craving the raw steak, and for the price, it's totally not worth it. This is the last time we'll eat here. Thank you, Annette, for your hospitality and your courtesy.

I’ve spent years on Dutch roads and met a lot of nice people, but this place surprised me. If you plan to rest at this parking lot, be ready to meet an arrogant and unpleasant woman behind the counter who clearly hates truck drivers and talks down to them. So be mentally prepared.

The woman who served the drivers today is most likely very prejudiced because it would seem she's the main driving force of this place. She was disgustingly rude, giving orders in a commanding manner, not listening to inquiries, and ignoring customers. It's probably high time to consider a change of staff. Maybe the salesperson and restaurant staff should move from behind the counter to working in the restrooms so that customers and drivers wouldn't have to listen to her rudeness... I don't recommend this place because after a long day of work, you don't want to eat when you share a common space with someone like that.

There's no food, but it costs 17.50 a night. If I'd known, I'd have gone and stayed with the Germans. I'm not very happy.

The reason for the 4 stars is because if you reserve a parking space online, you don't get a food coupon... Anyway, it's a good place.

I liked the large number of parking spaces. We drove in and took a ticket with a barcode and car number at the terminal. The gates opened automatically. I paid for parking that same evening at the restaurant's cashier, as many people say that the terminal doesn't always give you a receipt when paying with a DKV card. I paid with my DKV card as if it were a day's worth, or 16.5 euros, and received a receipt. I didn't eat at the restaurant. Showers are 3 euros with a token, and the restrooms are free. When there's nowhere to park, it'll do. On January 6, 2026, at 2:20 AM, there were only a couple of seats available. The machine wouldn't give me a ticket, so I paid at the restaurant that morning and left.

Pay for parking inside the restaurant. They issue a receipt there. At 9:00 PM the large parking lot was full, there are spaces at the other end opposite the scrub dump. There is no wi fi, you can't reserve a space with Travis. I don't know if there are any discounts for the restaurant... You have to shower pretty quickly... it's about 6 minutes long and when one minute is left it starts cutting out as a warning....

A really large and clean place. You have to spend €17.50 to get €8.50 deducted from the parking fee. This can be paid with DKV. That's why I'm deducting one star. But otherwise, it's great. I'll definitely be back.

If you're seated at a table in the restaurant and studying the menu, a staff member will come and demand that you order. Your request to wait because you need to make a choice is irrelevant. When you repeat that you need to wait, they'll walk away with a grim and disgruntled expression. When you approach the cashier to order food, you'll have to wait for another staff member, as this one refuses to serve you. This is simply very unattractive and shows a lack of respect for you on the part of the staff. The food is overpriced, so decide for yourself whether to order. The restaurant offers a daily discount on food and doesn't accumulate on the last day, as mentioned above. The restroom is free, but a shower costs 3 euros, paid at the checkout; you'll receive a token for it. Washing and drying clothes costs 6 euros plus 3 euros. The washing machine room is always locked, and you're sent to the sofa next to the room to wait. When you wash, they throw in a capsule; you don't have to use your own detergent. The restaurant is closed at night, and the restroom is outside on the exit side. Change your attitude toward the drivers, as everyone is doing their job and deserves respect.

If they would explain more, it would be better not to pay for all the days at once because you will not get anything back, pay for each day separately and you will have 8 euros for each day, the man here may God give him the wisdom to communicate with people correctly, the woman is more or less adequate, more pleasant to talk to, and the order here is like in a camp institution. A great place to take a break. There are restrooms open at night. Plenty of space. The ticket is quite fragile and can easily get wet in the rain when trying to enter or exit the parking lot. There's a bus stop nearby.

The parking lot is getting worse and worse. On November 22, 2025, I wanted to take a shower at 6:00 PM and found everything closed. I went to the restroom, and there were only four stalls in the entire parking lot, and there was a huge line. If you pay the parking fee, you don't get any food. But you can pay for both parking and food with a Visa or cash. Then they'll give you a ticket with the parking and food fees printed on it. The wait for takeout food is like waiting for dogs at the exit near the door, and you can't even sit at a bunch of empty tables in the restaurant. For those restaurant prices, you'd be better off taking the bus to the store. On Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 8:00 PM, there were many free seats.

Starting with the fact that there aren't designated spaces for refrigerated trucks in such a large parking lot! They park everywhere they can, but in reality, they have a lot of room to maneuver and can easily separate the refrigerated trucks from other trucks. Next, the lack of internet is getting worse. It used to work in the first few spots, now it's completely gone; getting a signal is practically impossible. And why advertise that Wi-Fi is included in the price? Very bad experience at Venlo Truckstop. The older man at reception ignored me and served others who came after me. I felt disrespected and unwelcome. This behaviour is unacceptable.

I have to say, what a friendly stop. The staff are amazing, speak perfect English and the main thing, smile. The food is lovely, I went for the Nassi, very good portion size aswell. The showers are perfect and clean, as with the toilets. I needed some laundry done, priced at €9 for a wash and dry, it’s alot cheaper than the machines appearing at most services across Europe. Very happy, first time here and won’t be the last. Thankyou so much to the staff for such a nice experience

August 7, 2025 At 9:00 PM, 1/3 of the parking lot was free. At 11:00 PM, there were still plenty of spaces. I was there on the weekend from November 1-2 and noticed that there were still spaces available on Saturday evening, but the gates weren't open. Drivers were told that the system automatically tracks vehicles in the parking lot and couldn't manually edit the data. Payment by DKV card is €35 for two days. Toilets are free, showers with a timer are €3, washing machines are €6, and dryers are €3. Lattes are €3.30. I picked up a parking card, and it says 390 parking spaces. You pay 17.50€ for the parking. 8.50€ can be used as a voucher, I think for food only inside the restaurant... The facility is new, hygiene is good. The big issue is the staff. The woman who greets you at the cash register is really very impolite and rude, but the woman who serves was the total opposite - very polite and kind! There are eight electric charging stations for trucks.

The parking lot is new and concrete. It's noisy because the refrigerated trucks are parked everywhere. The food is expensive, even with a parking coupon. I waited 30 minutes for an XL Burger in a nearly empty room. The patty was like ground dog meat, half the size of the bun, but as thick as a small roll. September 2, 2025 The parking is excellent, and overall, I've had very positive experiences. However, the service at reception depends on who's on duty: on September 2, I was helped by a somewhat less than friendly employee, while I normally always receive a very warm and helpful welcome from a very nice woman.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Truckstop Velvo is an absolutely brilliant stop for drivers. The hospitality here is second to none – really welcoming and helpful staff. The facilities are excellent, with clean and modern toilets and showers that make a huge difference after a long day on the road. There’s also plenty of parking available, even if you arrive later in the evening, which is a big plus compared to many other stops. On top of that, they provide a clothes washing facility, which is super handy when you’re away from home for longer stretches. Overall, this is one of the best truckstops I’ve visited in the Netherlands – well worth stopping at.
