The best choice of local and international craft beers in Haarlem. Great service, very helpful. I recommend for all the beer lovers out there.

Nice beer bar. The taps are quite expensive, especially compared to the other craft beer cafes in Haarlem. It's a shame that, contrary to what the website says, they don't really serve lunch. Only sausage and cheese. Ultimately, I decided to have lunch elsewhere after drinking two beers on an empty stomach.

If you want to try unique beers, you've come to the right place. They have 30 different beers on tap. They also have low-alcohol beer. For those who have to drive :). You can order cheeses and other things. The atmosphere is friendly and informal.

Those barrels stacked everywhere really created such a cool atmosphere, a bit industrial yet cozy. The beer was nice and cold and full of flavor; I could have easily had two more. The service was relaxed, although they briefly forgot about our nachos, but they sorted it out later. The music was a bit loud, but it fit the overall atmosphere.

A beer bar for beer lovers. That's all you need to know.

A busy, noisy bar, but always good laughs. The DJ sometimes plays odd songs, but that's what makes it fun. Cold beers, sharp service, relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes there's a bit of pushing and shoving at the bar, but never any arguments.

A good place to have some delicious beers. The place is pleasant and has a good atmosphere. Recommended.

A wonderful bar for a (craft) beer. Professional and friendly staff. 32 taps, so the selection is enormous! Especially for IPA lovers. So don't expect many dubbels or trippels. They do have stouts in all percentages, sours, and some seasonal beers. They also have excellent cheese and meat platters, not to mention the pizzas. The atmosphere, the taste—in short, highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing experience of Haarlem and dutch beer 🍻 we had a tasting with paired cheeses and purchased some canned beer for later. Barman was on top of everything — he knew what we want, when we want and offered his guidance on all the beers and cheese pairings. This was our top Haarlem experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Today I was introduced to the Uiltje as a bar for the first time. We had a tasting of four beers that you can choose from. The service was very friendly. The beers were delicious, especially with a piece of cheese 😉.

I'm a big fan of Uiltje's beers, and the bar was definitely recommended. There's a wide selection of taps and a wide variety of beers. (There are also many from guest breweries, but we didn't try any of those). They also offer a small tasting with four tasting glasses. This gives you the chance to try lots of new things. A really great place to visit while in town. And the restroom has a nice surprise when you enter.

If you like your craft ale then this little bar is about your only place in town. Good job then it's a keeper. The town by the way is really pretty, but then you will know that by the time you have found this place. A couple of benches outside in the sun an indoor window seat then a darker seating area which leads to a separately owned burger place. You can order both beer and burger but you pay each place separately. The bar also does a cheese pairing - beer and cheese are most agreeable bed fellows, but I'm rotund enough. The burgers looked fair price in a pricy country. Beers came in at around 9.50 Euros for a 44cl glass. Rather steep if you want 5, but fine to savour a couple. Compared to the rubbish mass produced lager on tap in many bars elsewhere, Im worth it. The beers are more often served in 25cl glasses or you can have a flight of 4 different 15cl for i think around 13E. Most of the guests were sampling 4. Noteworthy in a country where the folk tend to be fit and skinny cyclists, your average beer drinker in here was rather more padded than average. No one told me that when I was 20. A great choice of beer on the taps, some local some German and one or two British (I saw a tasty looking Track collaboration with a German brewery on offer). As is the way in this world, most are over 6% but there were a couple in the 5 -6% range (my usual travelling sweetspot as I dont want to wander around slaughtered) and one under 5%. Beer was well kept and perfectly pleasant. Choice of blonde, IPA, wheat, larger, dark and sour so something for everyone. Bar nice and tidy but suitably Boho. The gents loos is to the right and behind a slightly concealed door before the little step up. Glad JK Rowling wasnt in, as most of the men were using the ladies. She would have had a meltdown.

Popped in to this impressive little taproom for 1 beer, wish we could have stayed for more! Guy behind the bar was very welcoming and happily gave us a few beer recommendations. I ended up having the Chocolate, raspberry and caramel sour which was a b dutiful balance of sweet, sour and interesting. Played a few quick rounds of Jenga and then had to head off, but I wish we could have stayed for hours. The Cheese board looked awesome and the Pizzas sound incredible. I’ll be back for sure!🍻

In the middle of Haarlem a small cafe of the Netherlands' tastiest specialty beer with a village feeling inside. 30 different, and not just Uiltje, beers on tap. It is a bit pricey, but that is okay for once, especially if you are a fan of Uiltje. If you are hungry, there is a guy in the back of the shop who makes delicious burgers and such. The only pity is that it can be really busy, so you might not have a spot. The stools at the box are actually just too low for people under 1.75m, including me. Nevertheless, a very nice cafe with a nice atmosphere and delicious beer, more than worth the hour's travel!

We had a great beer tasting here with a cocktail nut. We were very satisfied, the beer was tasty and the nuts too. The service was good and the place had a nice atmosphere. It was a bit pricey for what you got but in my opinion it was worth it. I would definitely go there again.

I was on my way somewhere else, but walked by and was drawn in by the large collection of beers. The Juicy Lucy is a great NEIPA. They also have an extensive snack menu ( I had the duck rilette) and there is a separate burger shop in the back.

I'll come back for dinner later. What a beautiful place.

Very nice bar, which serves as a taproom for the famous Uiltje brewery. The craft beer selection is excellent, with nitro and cask beers. The cheese snacks are superb. However, the prices are very high.

Very chill, I was looking for a cheese board for dessert and the owl bar completely fulfilled this wish. Of course accompanied by an IPA and tripel from the owl. 4 cheeses for 16 eu. Perfect!

Lovely small and cozy bar for Craft Beer from 't Uiltje and also various guest beers from the region and other countries. Small but nice, perhaps the biggest contrast with that famous Church a little further away... The bartender (Joost) was very friendly and offered a warm welcome. With more than 30 beers on tap and some in bottles and cans, so there is something for everyone and enough for a nice session. The most important thing is that there is a quick change of beers, and we work with small kegs. In addition, there is also a beer available on Cask by Handpump, which is actually a system from the United Kingdom. This can only be found in a handful of places throughout the Netherlands, so it is unique. A pleasure to see and taste this served. Then the food. Uiltje Bar itself offers various pizzas and in-house Burgers are made by Grillin' in the Name at the back of the bar (independent of 't Uiltje). As far as I read, these burgers are very good, unfortunately I arrived too early to taste them. Within the snacks, the range of cheeses is particularly striking, very refined with the various beers. But my best tip for a tasty bite to eat with beer; go to "the neighbors" Mama Mojo for a delicious Bàhn Mi Pork Belly (pork belly) sandwich, for example. This is marinated to perfection and prepared using Slow Cooking. Believe me, if you're into beer, nothing can beat a Pork Belly Sandwich, especially the one from Mama Mojo :) Craft Beer meets Craft Cooking. In short; I am very happy that I went to Uiltje Bar, it was a pleasure.

Very cozy bar with about 30 taps. Many beers from Uiltje itself that always taste great. Also a number of guest breweries on tap. The staff is knowledgeable and can provide the necessary advice regarding beer selection. Highly recommended if you are in Haarlem.

Very extensive range of tasty beers. The pizzas served with it will not win a Michelin star, but they are simply delicious. There is a wide choice of meats and cheeses, but no bitterballen: that is a sign of a good café. In addition, the Uiltje bar is within walking distance of the Jopenkerk, making both bars easy to combine. But this is only necessary if the wide choice of beers at Uiltje is not enough for you!

Booked together with the group for 7 people. Upon arrival it turned out that we could fit a maximum of 4 people at the table. If we waited until people at the table behind us left, we were able to move them together but within a few minutes 2 new customers were pointed to this table. Now we went to the Jopenkerk with great pleasure and are really enjoying ourselves here.

Decent place where we do come back often. The place is not very big and often very busy on weekends. The beer is very good and there is a lot of choice. The staff were a bit of a hit or miss, many were very friendly but some a bit grumpy.

If you are in Haarlem and you like beer, a visit to the Uiltje bar should not be missed!

There are so many beers on tap! Very impressive, but it could be overwhelming. The guy serving helped us find the perfect beers with tasters and excellent recommendations. We had 3 different IPAs and 3 different stout/porters, and all were outstanding! If you like beer, go here.

Uiltje Bar, you must have been there. And that is really true! Delicious beers and a great atmosphere among the guests. Unfortunately there was a lady behind the bar who didn't seem to be into it. Especially when you sit at the bar, this detracts from the experience!

I think this cafe is too expensive. I visit many specialty cafes and can therefore make good comparisons. The number of tables and chairs is too many. Therefore, the seating distance is small. The beers are also fine.

Uiltje Bar in Haarlem is a great bar! Had a good with some beers and a laid-back vibe. There is lots of beer from tap to choose from. You can get some food here as well but have not tried it yet. There are board games you can use. There is friendly staff, good crowd, and overall just a cool place to chill. Definitely recommend!

Excellent Swedish dipa. Still, if you have to pay €7.90 for 0.25 cl, that detracts quite a bit from the taste! Furthermore, nice service, possibility to taste and apparently serves good burgers.

Really nice brewery tucked away in Haarlem. Really great beer selection on tap of their own as well as guest taps. The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly, took great care of us. They do have food available there, which I do wish I would have known before going as I would have liked to have tried their pizza. Highly recommend.

Last Saturday we did a beer and food pairing at Uiltje Bar with a group of 10 people. We were a little early, but we were greeted kindly and were able to sit down. We tasted several beers with different flavors. The food pairings that were provided were very tasty and surprising and made the tasting a true taste experience! Definitely recommended if you are in Haarlem!

I was very curious about this tent. I am a fan of the owl beer and often buy it in the supermarket in Amsterdam. Now finally in Haarlem I come to Uilltje with my girlfriend. The first thing I notice is that food and drinks are charged separately. No problem of course, but different than I am used to. I order some beer at the bar and a burger at the other internal tent. I pay neatly. I get a nice burger and nice beer as always. Until a boy with short hair comes to our table. I ask, because I'm not used to it, whether I can order food or drinks now. I don't know the concept and ask about the condition... well I get outraged. Also a sneer from him. 'Yes you should understand, food and beer are separate' 'you are from Amsterdam' and he said he felt attacked. In which I said why, I just wanted to know if I could order food or beer? Then he walked away. I also left with a strange feeling in my stomach. Very unfortunate and I got the feeling as if I was not welcome. I won't be back.

We loved the experience in this bar! First of all the vibes, absolutely great! I loved the interiors, the availability of table games and the toilets completely covered in uiltje labels. We wanted to try a beer tasting and I found it great that you can decide which beers to include in your 4 sample tasting. Also, the personnel is very knowledgeable and can guide you through the choice. Absolutely worth a visit!

Last week enjoying another extreme and just awesome beer. One of the best pubs in Haarlem with high quality craft beer.

Bartender had a lot of knowledge about beer and the area. Beers were tasty. Felt a bit soulless inside, maybe because it was a quiet Tuesday during the summer holidays 😀

We went all the way from Utrecht just to find out that they were closing 2 hours ahead of normal time, so we had time for just one beer. At least some post on instagram would have been nice. I love the beer, which is a pity. Was expecting more of this bar

Great selection of beers, nice atmosphere in the bar and you can also get a really good burger. Unfortunately though,what would have been a five star rating, is only a three because of the absolutely abysmal service. It seems like a few other people have experienced this as well, judging from the reviews. I wasn't once asked if I wanted another beer, even when taking away my empty glass. I ordered four different beers and each time I had to force myself to get one ordered. It is as if the staff wear blinkers. People were getting served who were clearly not before me and even people offered drinks when they still had beer remaining in their glass. It is not nice being made to feel invisible and soured the whole experience, which is unfortunate.
