Valentino in Wijk 00 Centrum

I've ordered and picked up the mixed grill several times. The food has always been delicious, but today it was truly awful. I ordered medium/rare, but it was medium/well, more like well done than medium. All the pieces of meat (nowadays even a sliced sausage was mixed in...) were dry and quite tough. Perhaps just bad luck, but that's not acceptable in a restaurant that prepares food professionally. The pasta was generously filled with salmon, but the cream sauce was tasteless. The fries were already soggy when I opened them in the car. All in all, unfortunately, I won't be ordering again.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Absolutely the best Italian restaurant in Veenendaal and the surrounding area, wonderfully authentic! 5 stars for this restaurant!

Their pizza is terrible, it is like you eat a piece of paper. Definitely, I dont recommend it.

Ordered 30 pizzas for a garden party, which were delivered at 3 times. Always on time and deliciously warm. The flavors (ordered all kinds of different ones) were great, the guests were full of praise. Thanks to Riccardo and team. È stato delizioso!

Been here for the 3rd time... heard from others, new owner, inferior quality, poor service. We cannot confirm this at all, on the contrary. Were here on 10.5. Packed on Saturday evening. The service was fast, friendly and good. The time between ordering and food on the table was fast considering how busy it was. The quality of the food was fantastic. Well prepared, the beef, rare ordered perfectly roasted...the pizza Marina delicious and large. So nothing to complain about... just a good Italian with good service!!!! Don't listen to rumors, just have a nice meal.

A tasteful Italian experience! Delicious dinner at Valentino! The atmosphere was cozy and the service was friendly and super quick! The pasta was perfectly al dente, the pizza had a crispy base and the tiramisu was delicious. A piece of Italy in our own city, we will definitely come back!

First things first, the food was delicious. Delicious antipasti platter. Then we ate pasta, which was also very good!! Operation and speed could be better. Is friendly, but had to wait a long time for main course after starter.

Last week we enjoyed a great dinner provided by Valentino. Dishes well seasoned and made with fresh ingredients. Recommended!

Had a fantastic wine tasting yesterday at Van Bellen Wijn accompanied by beautiful dishes from Valentino. Delicious antipasti and pasta dishes, all well prepared and very tasty.

Delicious food, still delicious pizzas and pasta. Service neat and friendly and I didn't notice anything about changing owners; it was just fine!! We just keep coming!

Ate here again on January 10, 2025. We have been coming here regularly for 18 years. Unfortunately, it turned out that the restaurant had a different owner. The quality of the food under the old owners Gigi and Ineke Inzitari was always more than good, I can no longer say that. The dishes we were served were substandard. Tough meat, overpowering dressing on the starter, etc. Price/quality ratio is not good. Service was friendly. Due to the (for us) poor quality of food, we will not return to this Restaurant (after 18 years of regular visits).

Delicious dinner tonight! The service was really friendly and pleasant! Compliments for serving us so warmly and friendly after the busy holidays... I think it's highly recommended. Gluten-free is no problem and very tasty.

Was just okay. I think this “focaccia” would be considered a personal insult to many Italians, so admittedly when this was served the tone of what was to come was kind of set. The pasta and pizza that followed were nice, but sadly nothing I would be hurrying back for.

The food was good, not very special but certainly not bad!! A good option if you like Italian food, they also have a wide choice of dishes. In contrast to the food, I actually thought the service was poor, having to wait a very long time for the food on several occasions and also having to speak to the waiter where it was. This is my personal experience, at other tables I think it went better!! So perhaps we just had bad luck with our table, but I am open to coming back here!

Sour pasta sauce, tension between the servers, they were not well coordinated. Our main course arrived half an hour later than the children's pizzas due to a mistake, that is of course possible, but a pasta and a salad does not have to take half an hour... the pizzas are positive!!!

We have regularly had a delicious meal here. The service was always top notch. Unfortunately, things are very different now. Certain dishes have changed, the service is substandard and you really have to be very patient before you get anything. There was 30 minutes between arrival and a glass of drink. Between arrival and eating 2 hours!!! The whole place was full but only 3 people were serving. The new owner walked around but did nothing… The food was tasty, the dishes ok, but still missing the somewhat special way of working of the previous owners.

Top restaurant and delicious food! At Valentino we were immediately warmly welcomed by (what we later understood) the old owner Gigi. Delicious bread and bruschetta, well-prepared tenderloin and matching wines. Also plenty of vegetarian options within the pastas and pizzas. The staff is attentive and involved. The restaurant looks cozy and the terrace is also nice in the evening. We would love to come back here again. Thank you!

Apparently new owner and new staff. Drama! Staff don't know what to do at all. You will only be received by staff after 10 minutes. Not knowing how systems work, total chaos behind the bar.

Very good food, very nice service

On the advice of others, we had dinner here with four people on Pentecost. It took a very long time before we could order. The starter came fairly quickly. My mushroom starter was really very little. Mushrooms fried in olive oil with garlic and some lettuce. It took more than an hour between the starter and the main course. We already heard several guests complain about the long waiting time. The pizza was fine. But the pasta dish ordered was again nothing special. We left the coffee and dessert alone. That probably wouldn't work before closing time. We may have had a bad evening, but you can only make a first impression once.

We always like to eat here, but the last time it seemed like there was a different manager. The man/boy was friendly but seemed very chaotic, like a headless chicken running from here to here. The time between handing out and taking the card was long and we also had to wait a long time for the food. We were not offered a sandwich in advance or something like that. Finally the boy came to say that the food would be there within 2 minutes and that the kitchen was making a lot of mistakes. I heard him say that to several guests. Tip: don't do it, it doesn't inspire confidence in the food.) The food was also not the quality we are used to. Meat was no longer very warm, for example. The staff also did not radiate that everything was under control. Twice the dishes fell off the elevator that had to go up... Hope it was a one-off because it would be a shame if this restaurant could no longer be considered our favorite.

We have to wait more than 2 hours for our food although The rest of the people who came later got their food before us. When our order was ready it turned out to be wrong. The food was tasteless. Even though we got small beers on the receipt they were large beers.

Always an excellent experience to visit Valentino's. Talented Italian chefs cater this cozy restaurant, a variety of delicious and fresh foods that exceed my expectations. I can't decide what to recommend first because every time I find a new love here among the succulent antipasti and other dishes I had tasted here! Love the see thru refrigerator stocked full of Italian delicacies, and the amazing wines (specially from the island of Sardinia). Come and have a taste of good Italian life in the beautiful town of Veenendaal!

The service is a bit understaffed, they are doing their best, but I also feel that they are suffering from a staff shortage, unfortunately.

Terrible..More terrible...This restaurant! I had no idea such a bad restaurant existed . Disgusting pasta. Something called a salad. And...etc...etc. Whatever bad I have to say about this place will be little. Please people, you'd better get yourself a croissant from Albert Hein.

I don't even know where to start. The service is terrible. You'll be in a good mood, and the stay... Generally, you'll stay hungry for about an hour and thirty minutes. What more does a man need?

I had the feeling that I was back in Ischia, an island near Naples. Delicious Italian pasta made by a real Italian chef. The Neapolitan fish soup: Zuppa di pesce alla napoli, is also highly recommended. Service was good. Very friendly service

We dined here for the 2nd time a few weeks ago. This will be the last time. The service was very slow, the Spaghetti Carbonara was extremely salty & had obviously been heated in the microwave but was not warm. But the main complaint was that they had issues with the cash register but never informed us and just left us waiting for a very long time. We feel for the money spent, we could have done much better eating elsewhere. Also, had the communicated to us that they were having issues with the register, that would have been much better than leaving us to wait for such a long time to pay.

Price-quality ratio is ok. Food quality was ok but not special. Service was nice and smooth. The carpaccio with gorgonzola sauce was a nice dish on the menu.

One of the tastiest pieces of meat I have ever eaten. Wonderfully soft, good meat. I had various types of meat grilled in garlic, highly recommended! I also found the carpaccio a bit bland and the tiramisu cream a bit tasteless.

Home delivery Had to wait 2 hours for 2 pastas. After 1 hour and 15 minutes I called to say it would be delivered. It's on its way, they said. While it is less than 10 minutes away. Finally received the order after 2 hours. Pastas were ok but not worth the wait. Bread that came with it, meant sweetly but very dry. Can be thrown away immediately.

Went here for a quick lunch. They weren’t fully open yet, but still allowed us to take a seat. We both ordered a beer and a pizza. We both got a huge pizza, which tasted wonderful. Absolutely no complaints. I definitely recommend going here for lunch or dinner sometime.

We was on Saturday 24.04.22 Well we pick up randomly this place. Was mostly empty at the time. Design outside and inside was very nice, comfty. That pictures was pretty nice to look at. Now about the order and menu we had to ask all about it. We order pizza for 3 people, and what we get. Not a big pizza, when in menu wasn't any size about it. It's not clear at all. When we get pizza, we didn't get any plates to eat separately as normal people and pizza was on small plate but wasn't even cutted, we supposed cut with fingers? That was more than weird and even the stuff wasn't really nice to us, like they hit with plate with some food and you can eat like animals. That was rude. We had to ask someone each time. When we finished again we had to wait very very long to pay. I thought that this restaurant has so high review then i thought it will be good, but appearances sometimes are totally wrong. I wouldn't back. Thanks

Worst pizza I've eaten in years. Just picked up, boxes were already cold when handled, crust not crispy. With pizza fantasy, I wouldn't let it be baked if the chef had nightmares. A bunch of random ingredients in every corner, no flavor combinations, half of it undercooked due to the uneven distribution. Not recommended, unfortunately the Italian is not nearly as mediocre as the big chains.

Ordered 3 pizzas. Burnt and very dry. Indicated that sauce should be added and how I received the pizzas. Called and was not taken seriously at all. Scolded by staff and pushed away. A little later the owner called me back and he was very aggressive because I had a complaint to report. Paid 45 euros, once and never again. OUTRAGEOUS how you can treat people.

Had dinner there last night with friends, we all ate different dishes and each starter or main course was really TOP. Tomato soup packed with real tomatoes and tagliatelle with squirrel bread, gorgonzola cream sauce and walnuts, super tasty. Two glasses of house wine Multopociano also of good quality, intense and also soft in taste. The entourage is a bit dated, but if you were in Italy it would suddenly be 'authentic', real Italy with a bit too bright lighting. Smooth service with nice, cheerful young ladies. The owner/cook greeted everyone later at the end of the evening, they do their best to please you and provide a delicious meal.

Valentino's is always a party :) Had a delicious meal again tonight, this time pasta instead of pizza. Staff was busy and remained super friendly and alert! The pizza calabrese remains a favorite here! The restaurant is very nicely set up and has a cozy warm atmosphere. Recommended for everyone.

After 25 years at.... "Da Gigi" .... elsewhere in Veenendaal ... tonight we ate old-fashioned TASTY and GOOD pizza again .... Big compliment! fresh, tasty, simply TOP, keep it that way Recommended!!!

Unfortunately, only takeaway at the moment, but that doesn't affect the taste. Good service and good pizzas.
