Van Maanen in Wijk 00

I wanted to sit down for a nice lunch with my friend and her baby in the stroller. They neatly placed the stroller to the side so it wouldn't bother us. We were then told we weren't allowed to sit there because it was in the way, as they were walking around with hot food. I think they have to walk everywhere to bring their food to the table, which is very strange. They didn't offer any help with finding a different seat. People in the restaurant laugh and roll their eyes. The service is really nonexistent, and if you're coming here for the atmosphere, you'll only fit in if you're as sneaky as the people who were there.

I just went to stand in the lunchroom section to order because I wanted to have breakfast at a table. But it wasn't entirely clear to me if I was standing on the right side for a croissant, because the lunchroom only seemed to be the sandwiches section. I asked. The lady told me I was standing on the wrong side, so I walked around. My little one got a single roll when I asked, so that was really great. I even told my sweetie that we needed to eat quickly because I was hungry. I paid and sat down on a chair, only to be sent away because *then* I should have paid the lunchroom rate... I was standing on the lunchroom side to start with😭

Reheated food which causes everything to burn because they cook it too long, very dry food and very grumpy staff

Two coffees and two sandwiches without butter with (yummy) cheese for 15.50!!! No wonder nobody sits here anymore! 😲👎

Went in for a cappuccino and a coffee. The waitress was friendly and came to take our order right away. The coffee and cappuccino were delicious. The stroopwafel was tough, which was a shame. Plenty of seating. Clean and tidy.

As regular customers after grocery shopping, we were there on Friday at our favorite table. Service was fast as always, which is why we always choose this Van Maanen location. This time, our order went a bit differently; the coffee machine was broken. It was okay. Only tea or hot chocolate with whipped cream. The choice was tea and hot chocolate with whipped cream. The tea was fine, but the hot chocolate turned out to be a deluxe version with tons of whipped cream and extra chocolate on top. That was clearly too much. We told them we thought it was overdone. "Then we'll have to make a new one," the waitress said. Walking to the cash register, I asked if it would be possible to put the whipped cream in a separate container so we could measure it out. She was back in no time. With the same disgusting cup😤—whipped cream in a container that was too small. The whipped cream had simply been scooped off, but it was impossible to eat without being covered in chocolate. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Bye Van Maanen, you'll never see us again. What disgusting service... Unprecedented...what unfriendly customer service.

We ordered three coffees and one hot chocolate to go. Because the to-go cup didn't have a lid, we decided to quickly drink it in the lunchroom. Then a female employee (50+, with glasses) came over to us to tell us we weren't allowed in the lunchroom because we'd ordered to-go cups. I explained that I didn't have a lid and therefore couldn't drive with an open cup. She then told me that a to-go cup was cheaper than a coffee directly in the lunchroom. Conclusion: we ordered four overpriced hot drinks, and we weren't allowed to drink one without a lid in the lunchroom, after which we were sent away. What terrible service! We will never get our drinks here again. I would be ashamed to treat customers like that.

Stroopwafel Caramel Latte: the stroopwafel was chewy, the coffee was otherwise okay. I've had better at another branch. The sauce roll was fine. The service could be a bit friendlier.

Wilde met mijn vrouw een kop koffie met een sauzijnenbroodje gebruiken. In de vitrine lag dit broodje met een verkoopprijs van €2,25. Bij het afrekenen bleek er 0,70 per broodje bovenop gedaan te zijn, omdat koffie en broodje aan tafel wordt geserveerd. Schandalig duur, voor een paar stappen van vitrine naar tafeltje. De rekening werd 1,40 duurder om twee broodjes naar een nabijgelegen tafeltje te brengen. Zo ga je de klanten weg, lijkt mij.

The lady who took our order was very unfriendly. The toasted sandwich we ordered was still plain white, and the cheese hadn't even melted.

Dirty tables were also not cleared. It wasn't busy, there were 4 ladies chatting happily behind the coffee machine. We had to wait almost half an hour for 2 coffees and a tea. Extremely bad service!

There are 3 Maanen bakeries in the shopping center. Two of them serve sandwiches when they feel like it. Sent away from both, ridiculous. Then I bought a sauce ice cream sandwich from the store, which they gave to me still cold after heating up. Very bad staff!

Not the pastries or sandwiches, but the staff was a bit poor, not at all coordinated, waited 20 minutes for a cappuccino, they still brought the wrong one, so 2 stars

Lekkere broodjes. Die truffel chocolade gebak, is een droom aanrader!

Heerlijk kunnen eten en drinken voor een goede prijs. Rondom Sinterklaas en kerst waren er ook nog “specials” op het menu. Aardig personeel. Leuke plek om te zitten!

Het brood is prima maar om er te gaan zitten vind ik wat minder. Maar goed, dat heb ik altijd met winkelcentra met een zitje om wat te eten en drinken. Met uitzicht op de gladde vloer, het plafond en de winkelende mensen. Prima belegde broodjes, dat wel

Price wise a bit on the higher end and they made a mistake with my bill, but otherwise a nice spot to have a relaxed cup of tea or coffee in the shopping centre.
