Nice waiter l, but my toast arrived with mayo on it which was not listed anywhere in the menu and spoiled my lunch. If I knew there was mayo, I wouldnt have ordered it.

Velvet Lunchroom is my favorite place for lunch! I've been coming here for a long time, and the food is always delicious and of consistent quality. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is always relaxed and welcoming. It's a place where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the day and enjoy good food and a cozy environment. I come back here monthly, and I can highly recommend Velvet Lunchroom!

We had dinner at Velvet Lunchroom, and what an experience! We ordered a tuna sandwich, an avocado sandwich, two chai lattes, a Moroccan pancake, sweet potato fries, and two loaded fries. The tuna sandwich was excellent. The tuna was cooked to perfection, with fresh arugula and cucumber. The sandwich was also delicious. The pancake was delicious. Chai latte, delicious! The fries: Both the loaded and the sweet potato were exceptional. Well-cooked and perfectly finished. They really put a lot of care into it. All in all, a wonderful experience, especially considering the price of almost €70 for 4 people. Worth repeating? Absolutely. Unfortunately, I don't live nearby, otherwise this would definitely become a regular outing. Keep up the good work!

The sandwiches were delicious, and the homemade tuna salad is highly recommended! The coffee and Moroccan tea were also very good. Combined with the great price, I would definitely recommend this place!

Very good atmosphere, well decorated place, it is definitely recommended to come here with your family. They have the right flavors. They also have delicious pancakes with fruit for the children, Altogether 10 plus for this business.

Unfortunately, the opening hours are wrong. I had to drive two hours because I had to be in Utrecht. I thought I'd have a nice breakfast at 9 a.m., but it was simply closed. Such a shame.

Well, scandalous. A few days later I found out that I had only received 1 toast, while the menu states that you get 2 toasts with one smashed avocado. I already thought it was cool! How can you make such a stupid mistake???

What a nice lunchroom. My family and I had a delicious meal. My son and daughter were absolutely crazy about your grilled sausage sandwich and tuna sandwich, excellent! Staff were so friendly and what perfect service! If you are looking for a nice AND cozy lunchroom, where the food is delicious, then Velvet is the right place for you. Definitely worth repeating.

I had dinner at lunchroom Velvet and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. We ordered a tuna sandwich, a salmon sandwich, two Moroccan teas, pancakes and fries. The tuna sandwich was disappointing. The tuna seemed to come straight from a can, with a bit of arugula and cucumber that had not been neatly sliced. Moreover, the sandwich completely fell apart. The salmon sandwich was simple, without capers, but that sandwich also fell apart. The pancakes were not as expected, and my son didn't even eat them. The fries were decent, but nothing special. All in all a disappointing experience, especially considering the price of almost €40. Worth repeating? Unfortunately not.

Our favorite brunch place in the neighborhood!! Love the Moroccan breakfast, price is affordable, and the overall ambience of the place is suupeer nice! We also got the fruit bowl and fries the other day, never got disappointed with the food. Highly recommended!

Just a homely feeling here, the owner and her team are so sweet. And nothing is too much. The food is always tasty and fresh. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer when it is busy, but all understanding and logical. Everything tastes good. And it is the nicest place in Utrecht. 1.5 hours waiting for a chicken fillet sandwich (fillings from the store). When the rest of the order was not in order and we said something about it, madam came from the kitchen with an attitude of "I have you there," to tell us why. it wasn't good and we just had to say nothing and be patient... Mind you, had to wait there for 1.5 hours with 2 children. I'd better do something about your attitude. Bad service and bad severing.

The tent looks cozy, there are a number of men and women there, so there is really no men's tent as is usual at Marcopololaan. nice lady helped me right away, didn't have to wait long. Het is echt een mooi plek om rustig te eten/ lunchen. De sfeer is ideaal en de service is uitstekend! Het is het zeker waard om langs te komen 🙌🏽🙏🏽.

Sinds circa een jaar woon ik niet meer in de buurt van Kanaleneiland, maar de ontwikkeling van deze buurt heeft nog wel mijn interesse. Op een zondag fietste ik hier langs, en zag dit voor mij nieuwe horeca-etablissement. Wat ik aantrof verrasste mij in positieve zin: Er heeft zich hier een eetgelegenheid van allure gevestigd. Ook de menukaart kon mijn goedkeuring wegdragen: ik koos voor de avocado op toast, waar weinig op aan te merken viel. Samen met een cappucino moest ik hier 11,25 euro voor afrekenen, wat ik anno oktober 2023 alleszins acceptabel vind. Een herhaalbezoek waard, wat mij betreft.

Ontbijt was lekker, personeel was super aardig.

Wachttijden zijn veel te lang, voordat er iemand komt om je bestelling op te nemen ben je al 20 min verder. Daarnaast zijn de taartjes erg smaakloos.

Velvet lunchroom blijft mijn favoriete spot in Utrecht om te genieten van een ruime keuze uit ontbijt en lunch! En niet te vergeten hun overheerlijke taartjes!!

Lekker gegeten, betaalbaar, mooie tent, klantvriendelijk!

Wat een leuke lunchroom. Het interieur en eten is insta waardig. De medewerkers zijn onwijs vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij zijn hier met zijn zessen gaan eten vandaag, 3 volwassenen en 3 kinderen en hadden van alles op tafel. Het eten verdiend een dikke 10! Alles was lekker! Echt een aanwinst in Utrecht. Velvet heeft een goede aanloop, tafeltjes bleven niet lang leeg. Prijzen zijn echt schappelijk. Velvet heeft in korte tijd een goede mond tot mond reclame opgebouwd en hebben het in onze ogen vandaag ook waard gemaakt. Snel weer een keertje bij ze lunchen.

Vandaag zijn wij met het gezin gaan eten bij Velvet lunchroom. Het is een knus restaurant en heeft een leuke vibe. Mooi interieur en de medewerkers zijn zeer vriendelijk. Het eten was heerlijk! Van de soep, broodjes tot de taart aan toe. Per persoon voor ongeveer 15 euro gegeten en gedronken en wij hebben aardig wat besteld. Tot snel weer. Jullie zijn top!

Wauw, met het gezin in een enorm aantrekkelijk ogende tent mogen eten. Uitgebreid menu met als persoonlijk hoogtepunt de pancakes & tuna melt. Parmeziaanse frietjes als guilty pleasurure naast de lunch. Wauw wauw wauw!!
