Although we live nearby, we hadn't ventured here before. So, on Saturday, November 22nd, we went in on a whim (luckily early), and despite not having a reservation, a high-top table was available. I have nothing but compliments! We had the bruschetta verdure as a starter, the pasta Nostro Ragù for the main course, the Barbera d'Alba for the side, and we shared a tiramisu for dessert. Everything was delicious: lovely pasta, fine wine, the ragù made with super-tasty fennel sausage (Brandt & Levie), and a tiramisu...it's the best I've had in a long time ;) Also, the host and staff were friendly and cheerful. We hope to see you again!

Wonderfully delicious classic Italian antipasti and pasta!

We had the pasta with gorgonzola. The dish was well-made and tasted good, but for €17.50, you'd expect a decent plate of pasta. I estimate there were 200 grams of food on our plates. A truly minimal amount. The tiramisu, on the other hand, was a generous portion. The wine and coffee were good. Upon leaving the restaurant, we were completely ignored by both the male and female staff, even though we did say hello loudly. Unfortunately.

Strange. Made a lunch date in Utrecht. Expected to end up somewhere under the Dom Tower. On the other side of the train tracks. A bit of a walk from the Jaarbeurs and Rabobank. On a Saturday, you walk past all sorts of food and coffee shops. Not much going on. Nostro was busy, though. And for good reason. The smell was already good outside. Went inside. Fast, friendly service. Great coffee. Espresso. Pastrami was very good. Pastrami carbonara tasted just as I'd hoped. Cannoli. Excellent. I drove all the way from Eindhoven. I'll definitely do it again.

Good quality panini and coffee. Three stars for atmosphere, and the restaurant's terrace is located on a fairly busy road.

Terrific food, atmosphere and service! Thank you for making us feel so welcome. The maître d (?) matched my wine with our food and chatted with my son as he worked. We observed all the staff working beautifully together, obviously enjoying their work. My 12 year old son and I would highly recommend a stop in for fresh and tasty lunch or dinner. Thank you :)

Delicious, highly recommended! But it's best to remove those "foraged" tomatoes from the menu; nobody will fall for that.

Surprised by how authentically Italian this restaurant is. Delicious pasta, and the tiramisu was a wonderful ending.

What a fantastic place for drinks and food! They cook with a passion for Italian cuisine, and you can taste it. Tip: order the appetizer platter "misti" as a starter. I've rarely had such a comprehensive and delicious antipasti. In good weather, you can sit outside and enjoy the lively neighborhood. La dolce vita in the Netherlands at its finest!

The food was delicious! It's pleasant to sit both inside and outside. The wines were a bit pricey, and the servings were very meager (while other guests were getting enormous glasses, so not entirely consistent). The restrooms weren't very clean.

What a fantastic place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Super delicious pastas made by a young chef with a passion for cooking! The service is also truly outstanding! I was helped by a friendly and very experienced young man. This guy also studied at hotel school, which was clearly reflected in his professional yet friendly atmosphere! In short, if you're looking for a delicious bite to eat in Utrecht, NOSTRO!

I paid €15 for a takeaway box of Arrabbiata pasta and it had seriously no flavour and what shocked me the most was how little pasta they put inside of the box. the bread was so dry, I couldn’t bite in it at all. Paying €15 for a flavourless pasta with NO meat in it for that little amount + dry bread is just very unfair. Really not worth it! (Not many options for meat lovers, only if you eat pork, no fish pasta’s)

The coffee was strong and full of flavour and the panini was bang on!

On a corner of the street, in a building where an insurance company had an office for years, there is now a pub or cafe. When I cycled past, I had often looked at the terrace, which looks comfortable. Inside, delicious smells prevail, I suspect of pizza, coming from a small kitchen. Next to it is a bar. A few different types of wine, two beers on tap, a refrigerator with different beers in cans. There is no Hefe Weizen, I get a small glass of strong cloudy beer; tasty, with a bill of six euros (that seems a lot of money to me, but perhaps this is the normal price these days). There are a few tables inside. If I decide immediately upon entering, I can just about get a table for one person. They are completely full of reservations, says the lady who is in charge. I initially only came for a drink. And despite the fact that I am used to enjoying a drink for a long time, not a single table is occupied when I leave. Did I miss the psychological pressure to seize the last chance (FOMO)?

We had some delicious sandwiches here. The staff was also very friendly. However, it took a very long time before our lunch arrived.

Food was delicious! Very friendly staff, the place was cosy, but it was very hot inside, because of the ovens.

A small Italian gem where you can taste that the food is cooked with love. The pasta is fantastic, the sauce tastes like an Italian nonna, and the tiramisu is downright dangerously delicious. The only downside? The extraction. After a night of dinner, your clothes smell as if you have spent a few hours in the kitchen. But, if you take that into account, you will definitely come back for the delicious food

Cozy and good food for a good price

Called by for a casual lunch with our baby. Sat outside, lovely polite service, the food was beautiful, the waitress kindly wrapped what was left as we had to leave earlier than planned. Will definitely be back.

I had the All’Amatriciana pasta and piccante panini. The pasta was ok but the portion was small. I wasn’t even super hungry and it was still not enough. The panini was lame and again small. I never understand when restaurants cut portions with cheap ingredients like bread, pasta and potato. Our servant was nice and friendly. However non of the servants were keeping an eye on the tables outside. Especially when no one was sitting inside!

I always love coming here. The food is delicious and so comforting. There are some great drinks on the menu. The staff is always so kind and attentive. And I love all the desserts. Always a great experience at Nostro!

Lovely people, good tent, nice atmosphere Coffee could be a little stronger

Had lunch at this place a few days ago and i would not recommend it if you’re looking to eat authentic italian food. My husband ordered a carbonara and it was swimming in onions; which are not supposed to be in the dish at all. The cook is also quite rude and defensive. When asked why there were so many onions in the dish, he angrily replied that “it’s stated in the menu card” because it’s “il nostro carbonara”, meaning “our carbonara”. First of all, it’s “LA nostrA carbonara” and there is no such thing as your carbonara. Follow the recipe or give it a different name. As an italian, this place was very disappointing. The girl who served us, on the other hand, was an absolute sweetheart!

Nostro is one of my favorite places where I like to eat with my wife, family and friends. The atmosphere is casual and cozy, super friendly service and delicious food that tastes authentic. Good price and portions. My favorites are the pasta carbonara and tiramisu. Nice for a coffee, lunch and dinner, but also especially on Sundays, when they prepare the specials melanzane alla parmigiana and lasagna. Highly recommended for delicious Italian food without the fuss!

Door constantly open. Outside 2 degrees. Then install a good extractor hood. Because it smells really bad inside! Service really super slow. Only your order after 45 minutes. The decor is really terrible, but if you want to quickly eat a sandwich without too much fuss and you have plenty of time, then it's really fine.

Come here regularly. Cozy atmosphere and a delicious pasta and a drink for less than €20!

Delicious authentic pastas and very nice staff

Too cold in December with a door that is constantly open. A small ciabatta of €7 is overpriced. And the person was difficult at checkout because we had a gift voucher (which had already been paid for earlier). It was a business dinner, so I paid from my business account. But because we came with a gift voucher, it suddenly turned out that he could not print a voucher. Very special story. We have previously come here for dinner with 16 people from work and wanted to do so again in the future, but after this experience certainly not!

Had a delicious pasta before a visit to Tivoli de slope. Super friendly service (thanks for the extra crunchyness on my tiramisu haha), delicious food. Nothing to complain about & would definitely recommend it!

I came for a take away after a long day of work, but three hours later I left after spontaneously dining in at the bar. The food is tasty, but it’s the people working there that would make me come back. Especially Riccardo (hope the spelling is correct) is a ray of sunshine and will make you feel at ease, ready to enjoy your evening no matter what your day looked like. The restaurant is rather small and the atmosphere is laid-back, which makes it a cozy place to dine.

What a cozy restaurant! The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the pastas were delicious. The dessert was served at the same time as the espressos, something you don't often see these days. Small point for improvement: the main courses and pasta portions could be slightly larger, even if that means the price goes up a bit. Otherwise great! Thanks!

Walking through the streets of Venice we found ourselves in a square at Bar Nostro, the food was delicious, we ordered a salad, two plates of pasta and tiramisu for dessert, from another world. We were attended to by Mahim, his attention was excellent, he was looking out for us all the time!!! A 10 in everything.

De borrelplank is kwalitatief heel goed. De drankjes zijn ook goed geselecteerd. Leuke en attente bediening. Ons compliment over de kaas leidde tot een spontaan extra gerecht. De pasta was een beetje te al dente voor onze smaak, maar smaakvol en goed geportioneerd.

We were the first to arrive, but a couple who arrived later were helped earlier. In addition, the sandwiches are not very special for what you pay for them. The waiter/owner also watched me pay or whether I was going to tip, which was not nice.

It's one of the best lunch places I've been to. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, the staff is very friendly. Very attentive and friendly, you really feel comfortable here. Everything we had was delicious! Misti appetizer board, the Paninis and both the tiramisu and the Panna Cotta were delicious! All recommended. The food was so delicious that I forgot to take a photo every time 😅

(Nabij station Utr Vaartse Rijn) Wij kunnen alleen maar volledig bevestigen wat de andere reviews zeggen: heerlijk eten, fijne sfeer (op een locatie waar je het niet zou verwachten), zeer vriendelijke en attente bediening. Beide salades waren heerlijk, beide pasta's ook en de wijn was uitstekend. Waren we opeens weer even in Italië… Scudetto!🇮🇹

Gastvrijheid, eten en drinken is zeer goed plus een gezellige sfeer.

Great, unassuming Italian place outside the binnenstad! My favorites are the carbonara and pastrami sandwich, but you can't go wrong because everything on their menu is delicious. Worth a trip if you are in Utrecht.
