I'll definitely be back! The location is great and very cozy, the bagel was delicious, the selection was great, and the service was super friendly and fast!

Honestly the best bagel shop I've found in the Netherlands so far. The staff are incredibly friendly, but the bagels speak for themselves. They're packed with flavor and deliciously filled! (They also have vegetarian options.)

In a country where finding any bagel, let alone a good one, is a difficult task, you don’t need to look further than Lox Utrecht. Authentic NYC bagels that are just firm enough on the outside and soft on the inside. Get a speciality sandwich or just with cream cheese, it’s hard to beat.

In my previous post, see below, I wrote that a Latte Macchiato is quite expensive here. Today, Saturday, September 21, 2024 I paid €4.75 for a Latte Macchiato. I think the coffee prices could be lower here at Lox. €4.50 for a Latte Macchiato is a bit expensive here at Lox Bagels & Salads NYC Style in Utrecht. Currently, a Latte Macchiato costs €4.95.

The coffee is actually quite bad for a coffee place

A great place for breakfast, brunch, and coffee. It right in the middle of town and at the corner on the street. It’s hardly 10mins walk from the Utrecht Train station. The food tasted really good and the service was excellent. They have a cozy place and you can find place either inside or outside. But you won’t miss anything as you can enjoy the view in both ways. I highly recommend, if you are in Utrecht, Netherlands then visit the place and you gonna enjoy your meal.

A bit expensive for what you get but friendly staff and fast service despite the crowds

Delicious bagels made for a great breakfast! Unfortunately, there are very few seats inside, and the chairs might be difficult for some people with mobility issues to get onto. But we highly recommend it. I would have loved to try everything on the menu! Next time ;)

Some of the best bagels I had in The Netherlands! They have plenty of bagels options (and not only), but I felt there were not that many vegetarian or fish based. Nontheless, the bagels are very nice! They also come accompanied with chips which work really well. The service was a bit slow, taking quite some time to get someone's attention, but otherwise nice. The place has a nice terrace, and some space inside as well.

Two super beautiful locations. Cozy in the city. Leidsche Rijn is also beautiful. I always choose Central Park, the best!!! The everything bagel is delicious, even with chocolate spread! There's real love in it.

Mediocre bagels, not worth the price at all. Edit: I got contacted by the restaurant and they handled it really professionally. Might just have been a bad day so I will definitely come back to try another time.

Delicious, but ridiculously expensive. Two bagels and two cups of coffee, almost €40 lighter. I also thought €3 for a piece of bacon on my bagel was excessive.

Average food. Probably nicer spots to eat in the same area. My bagel lacked a bit of filling for the price. Wouldn’t be bothered to return. Service was friendly.

This was just like the one in Leidsche Rijn center, a great place. I had a wonderful lunch on the terrace and relaxed. They also have super friendly staff who were very helpful.

A gem in Utrecht's city center, this small but oh-so-cozy restaurant with a lovely terrace serves delicious bagels! The atmosphere is cozy and the bagels are delicious, with many varieties to choose from. The salads are also excellent, and the service is fast and very friendly. Whether you're shopping for a delicious cup of coffee, a lovely lunch, or a cozy drink on the terrace, it's highly recommended!

Tiny bagel for 17 euro?! Chicken was cold and the ingredients are not tasted fresh. I won’t recommend this to anyone. Their coffee and Chai latte were bad and it is 5,50 euro. There are no reason why this place charges so much and the quality is so not worth it. We feel like we were literally ripped off.

Had late lunch here and the Caesar salad was a fantastic choice. For 15€ you get a huge portion that will make sure you are full. The salad is fresh, the chicken is crispy and overall it is well seasoned. You even get a bit of the bagels that they serve at the place. The service is friendly and quite quick as well.

I spontaneously bumped into this bagel spot when visiting Utrecht the other day. While stopping for lunch I ordered the pulled-chicken bagel which I was quite excited for but unfortunately underwhelmed. I wasn’t a fan of how stiff the bagel was and it almost felt like it was over baked and the sauces were a bit too much. It was okay bite but nothing that I’m satisfied to recommend the experience. Price for quality, not my choice.

The service and atmosphere are truly top notch. The food was also tasty, but because the bagels are so hard, it's hard to take a bite without it falling apart. Also, as a big eater, the portions are very small for me, so I ordered a second one. A great place for lunch together!

Truly authentic NYC style bagels in the center of town. Born and raised in NYC and living in NL for 20 years, these are the first bagels I’ve had that I’d vouch for. Made fresh daily on the premises makes all the difference. Highly recommend.

If you want a fantastic, super-fresh bagel, you have to go to Lox in Utrecht. My teenage daughter recommended it, and I went there for lunch. The service is excellent. Our waitress was super friendly; she was able to answer all our questions about the bagels and recommend the perfect one for our taste. It's not very big, but it's very cozy, and there's almost always a spot for two.

We've been coming here occasionally since it opened to get individual bagels. The pre-made bagels are very expensive. Initially, you could take whatever you wanted, but then it got more expensive and you weren't allowed to order multiples of the same flavor. Now it's completely forbidden. They weren't very kind with every change, and they don't make any exceptions (for us). It's a shame, so we won't be back.

I've been coming here for a while and thought it was time for a review. We usually have a drink here. - Friendly staff - A lovely spot in the heart of the city. - Also important, the men's restroom is clean. Especially on a busy day like today. I can't really say anything negative.

😳 €7.40 for one fresh ginger tea (no honey) and black coffee with milk cup. Very expensive though. Didn't eat anything, so I can't judge that. Service was smooth and friendly, nothing else to complain about.

A nice surprise on a rainy Thursday morning to stumble upon authentic NYC Bagels in Utrecht! Definitely don’t sleep on this place if you’re in the mood for a properly boiled bagel NY would be proud of! Food was so good I forgot to take a photo 🤦‍♀️

Breakfast Bagel done right!! 👍 Everything bagel was perfectly cooked and seasoned,the salmon was gorgeous and the cream cheese was 🤟 some other local touch of ingredients thrown in but I certainly have no complaints!my palette thoroughly enjoyed this breakfast find!!! The bagels are really richly filled especially the salmon one. However the bagel itself was extremely dense and hard to bite through. It felt almost “raw” or just taken out of the packaging without being baked. Also the waitress didn’t ask us what type of bagel we wanted. It’s not written on the menu but in the cafe there’s a crate behind the bar which we only saw later and regardless servers should ask since there were apparently options.

Chocolate milk is delicious, but it's a shame about the fake whipped cream, it comes from a spray can and you pay a lot for it.

The place that made me fall in love with bagels. Whenever I’m in town around lunch time, that is the place I go for. The bagels are always generously stuffed and they leave you satisfied both in flavour and portion.

The food was decent, not particularly outstanding, but there was a Taiwanese waitress who left a strong impression on me. The staff had a great attitude, and the restaurant atmosphere was very quiet—perfect for a date or a nice chat.

It’s good, but wouldn’t rate it 5 stars. My egg and bacon were really oily and salty, don’t recommend it. The one with the pesto was very tasty, forgot the name though. Coffee was also very good.

Kind of disappointing. The bagel bread on our orders felt like it was 2 days old. It was very tough. Also quite expensive for what you get. €10 for a bacon, egg and cheese bagel that’s on the small side. I expected better bagels after reading the reviews.
