The online order takes a very long time, almost more than 2 hours, it's really not normal.

Verhage Hellevoetsluis had better stop delivering. They are always (and I mean really always) way, way, late. Just now I had to wait 2 (!) hours for an order again. If you cannot deliver on time, then don't accept (delivery) orders.

I ordered online for delivery at 5:30 PM. No complicated fuss regarding the order. I find it utterly scandalous that it still hasn't been delivered by 7:20 PM. I even called around 6:40 PM to ask where my order was. This is also the last time I will ever order anything there, or even go there to eat at all.

1.5 hours took them to come to my table. Then after ordering, it feels like they were talking a whole week to make a simple order for 1 person only. Horrible!!!

Terribly slow service, it takes a long time before you can order something and even longer for it to arrive at your table! Never again.

Nice place, friendly staff, but an endlessly long wait for food. When inquiring, they said it was busy. At other Verhage locations it is also busy, but you always get your food quickly... too little staff in the kitchen...

Sorry, but this place is particularly bad when it comes to soft serve ice cream. The waitress made it within 5 seconds and you could see it, or rather, couldn't you?!! Oblihoorn normally had ice cream in it, that's true, but so little that it didn't even come 2 cm above the cone. They also had a kids' ice cream which had slightly more in it than the more expensive one. Every other customer got the same minuscule amount of ice cream. I could get rich like that too, really, unbelievable.. It was the same with the ice cream half a year ago, that's why I haven't been there in a long time. We thought we'd give it another try on King's Day, maybe it would be different now..... apparently not.. so I won't be coming here again, just like at Verhage Barendrecht, same story with the ice cream. If you want nice friendly service, good food, and a normal-sized soft serve ice cream, come to Verhage Rockanje, because they do understand how it's supposed to be done there! So it is possible at Verhage..

Ordered via Thuisbezorgd, where a delivery time of 20-45 minutes is stated. It is now an hour and a half later and it still hasn't arrived. After calling twice to ask where it is, first they say they are working on the order, and then that the delivery person is on their way. We live 4 minutes away. Better to pick it up or never order again.

The fries are delicious here, and the restaurant is otherwise clean! However, they clearly lack a manager in the evenings. We've eaten here twice now around 7 p.m., and while we were still sitting there, they just put all the chairs on the tables! And they were supposed to be open until 8 p.m. This evening, we arrived at 7:10 p.m., and again, almost all the chairs were already on the tables, even though there were still people inside. We walked right past this time...

Ordered 2 x Loaded Fries Stew + snacks (via thuisbezorgd.nl). Delivery was far too late. Verhage Hellevoetsluis didn't respond for 20 minutes after the delivery time had passed, but they finally answered when we called from a different phone. "Delivery person is on the way," was the message, and he arrived far too late. When we walked inside, some of the food from the paper bag fell onto the floor. The containers turned out to be on their sides with the lids off, soaking the bag and creating a hole. The delivery person was apparently aware of this beforehand because he checked the corner of the bag several times before ringing the doorbell (checked via the doorbell camera). The food remaining in the containers was stone cold and soggy. Truly scandalous. This was the first and last time I ordered from Verhage. After reporting this by phone, they promised a full refund...it could take three days...we'll wait and see. The order also appears to be undelivered (yet to be delivered), so you can't leave a review on Thuisbezorgd.nl... Clever...

My order arrived cold. About 10 minutes after delivery, I called to discuss our daughter's bedtime. The employee was disinterested (as always, even when we dine there ourselves) and couldn't offer a solution himself, saying he'd consult with the manager. Instead of the manager speaking to me directly, he routed everything through the employee. They then assumed the order had been delivered 30 minutes earlier, simply because the delivery driver had already delivered three other orders, according to the woman on the phone. Based on that assumption, they said they couldn't do anything, even though their answer was completely unfounded. If you can't reach an agreement with a customer, a manager should take over the conversation and offer a solution. That didn't happen here. Everything was blamed on the customer. Poor service and a manager who doesn't take responsibility. Furthermore, not a single "apology" or show of understanding, just a continuous discussion and a constant pressure to keep you going. If you can't offer a solution to a customer for any reason, understanding and an apology would be the least you can do. The manager has been the problem here for years. He never personally resolves anything and leaves his teenage employees to fend for themselves.

we ordered a carpaccio sandwich, loempia and loaded fries. the carpaccio was half cold, and the loempia wasn’t made well at all. you could taste that the bread of the sandwich was the only thing they warmed up. For the service, the food was decently quick done, but it took a really long time for them to actually bring it. It was just waiting to be picked up for over 5 minutes

I hadn't been inside yet, but I have to say the salmon sandwich was delicious, and the food and drinks were reasonably priced, and it looked neat and cozy inside. I just thought it was a bit cold inside, but we'll definitely be back.

What a disgrace... It took three business days before you could even order. Then another three before you even got it. The staff was slow and had no idea what they were doing. There was one person wearing large black glasses...she had no idea what she was doing behind her back. A girl in a headscarf was still trying to mop with the tap running, all at a 1 km/h pace. When we saw another girl go to the bathroom with her gloves on and then walk back into the kitchen with them on...we left. The food wasn't a 10. The stew wasn't good. A one-time deal for us. You better walk a bit further...you'll have delicious fries in a cone.

Dear Verhage, We ordered a beef croquette and were asked if it had any of that white filling. No, it didn't... and what we got was a beef croquette with a white filling. We eventually ordered and received the correct one, the pulled pork croquette, but we were able to pay for everything. However, we find the staff wearing black rubber gloves rather unhygienic. One person is constantly braiding her hair, while another is scrolling on her phone, only to then touch my food. They also handle money with the same gloves. I find this quite unhygienic and actually quite disgusting. Just take them off and wash your hands more often in between. I would appreciate hearing from you regarding the gloves.

As a Fleming, I felt just as I would in a Flemish chip shop with an on-site dining area; there was a big difference. The waitress was very friendly, and the food was beautifully presented and affordable.

I've placed an order twice now. Both times it went wrong, with the worst being that I called after an hour and a half, only to find they'd forgotten. When you call, you get an employee who doesn't seem to care.

My order took almost two hours to arrive; I even called once in the meantime! The food was cold when it finally arrived. Absolutely do not recommend ordering from here. I gave it one star because it couldn't be lower, but it's not even worth that one star!

Disinterested staff. Filthy business, and the kitchen is the same. This Verhage restaurant should close immediately and everyone should take a course in food preparation, cleaning, customer service, and workwear. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! We were also amazed at how other customers were helped; unfortunately, we weren't the only ones with this problem. Close this place down and start a major cleanup, both inside and out. Get it cleaned up.

Disgraceful company! Placed an order over two hours ago, and when you finally call to ask if your food is still available, you get some kind of teenage chicken coop on the line. They're chattering away, yelling all sorts of things, but they don't speak to a customer. And then they hang up on you without mercy! Not to mention customer service, something they apparently haven't learned there... Last time we ever order from here! Waste of money and a huge waste of time!

We ordered food between 5:00 and 5:30 PM and wanted it delivered. At 5:28 PM, we still hadn't received anything. We called, and according to the manager, it wasn't even 5:30 yet. Terribly poor service after sitting there for 15 minutes. With three staff members for two drinks in an empty room, you ask where they are. The answer comes in a tone of voice. A rude child walking around. The dark-skinned girl. The service was already bad, but this is absolutely ridiculous. I'll check my camera footage today and reconsider what I'm hiring. People, don't order from here!!! I ordered food. It said it would be with me in 15 minutes. 40 minutes later, I called them. The girl said the delivery person was on his way, it could take another half hour. After half an hour, the food still hadn't arrived, so I called again. She said it was being fried now. I said, "What?" I said, "I want to file a complaint." I had to call the manager. I supposedly spoke to her. I don't know how old she was, but she looked like she was 17. I said my children and I were waiting 1.5 hours for our food. She said she was a mother too and that it was already dinner time for the kids. It was strange because everyone eats at their own time. She didn't want to give a discount or a refund, but only ice cream. I said no because my son doesn't eat ice cream. She said she put drinks in it. I said, "Just drink." The service is attentive, but sometimes the food sits for a very long time before it's brought to the table, which makes it quite cold. When you look through the hatch into the kitchen, it doesn't look particularly tidy. I also wonder why children are working there? I doubt they know anything about hygiene in the kitchen. In my opinion, it's pointless to wear gloves all the time and then touch everything, from clearing the table to serving. Professionalism is a different story. For me, it was my first and last visit.

We had a delicious meal at Verhage's beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious and the customer service was friendly. The iced coffee is really good too!

The food is truly delicious! And the toppings are generous. But the service is absolutely terrible. The girls are practically getting in each other's way. There was a girl with glasses serving us. She made quite a few mistakes. She told everyone, "Be right there," only to repeat the same thing 10 minutes later. She lingered at our table throughout the meal. I had a dog with me, and she asked all sorts of questions about it, even though plenty of people were waiting. Another girl wearing a headscarf was fantastic! She tried to smooth things over, apologized for her colleague, and so on. Finally, we had to pay. It was 16.90, and we paid with 20 people and were refunded 8.85. How so? We did mention this politely to the other girl. It's a good thing the food was really good, otherwise we wouldn't have come back.

This was truly the last time we ordered anything here. The fries were awful. They were an empty shell soaked with grease. It looked like no potato had been used in them. How can a couple of teenagers run such a beautiful place without supervision? We recently ate in the restaurant itself, and the fries were absolutely disgusting then too. We wanted to try again, because yes, I do believe in chances, but no... NEVER AGAIN. The once beautiful and delicious snack bar is gone. Such a shame! We had a delicious meal at Verhagen in Hellevoetsluis. They have a bacon burger and snack menu. Well-maintained. The tables are clean, as are the restrooms. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. We'll definitely be back. Excellent.

Order arrived after agreed time. It can happen, but I can't appreciate that our food is cold and the ice cream almost melted. The food could have had more stars if it wasn't cold or melted. And I'm still being polite. Eating in the shop itself is also not an option, long waits and staff that has little interest in helping customers. First wanted to sit outside but many tables were still with dirty dishes from abandoned people. The birds were all sitting on the tables outside eating the remains. I went inside and it was a little better but also dirty dishes. I sat for an hour and I left. The tables had not yet been cleared even though it was not busy at all. It was a downside.

We visited the Verhage in Hellevoetsluis in Holland on our summer vacation in August last year to have something to eat there in the evening. We were shopping in the supermarket here and ended up here by chance while looking for something to eat. Since it was a beautiful, summery day, we sat outside and looked at the menu. After a slightly longer wait, we were finally able to order. It took a little longer for our food to arrive - so we made do with drinks. The food was really tasty, tasted good and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Only the portions were quite small. The men who were there didn't get tired of it. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and the toilets are clean, so there's nothing wrong with that. The employees were also nice and friendly. However, the rating comes about because we had to wait longer and the portions were not enough.
