Nice snack bar with delicious food. Friendly staff, who made a few mistakes with orders (takeout). We ate it there.

Ordered a menu, hamburger was not raw, reported it and received a new one 45 minutes later, new burger but took it with me again not good and red really not okay last time also. fries that were so hard you could throw someone's brains in with mud greasy

Dear Verhage, We ordered a beef croquette and were asked if it had any of that white filling. No, it didn't... and what we got was a beef croquette with a white filling. We eventually ordered and received the correct one, the pulled pork croquette, but we were able to pay for everything. However, we find the staff wearing black rubber gloves rather unhygienic. One person is constantly braiding her hair, while another is scrolling on her phone, only to then touch my food. They also handle money with the same gloves. I find this quite unhygienic and actually quite disgusting. Just take them off and wash your hands more often in between. I would appreciate hearing from you regarding the gloves.

As a Flemish person I felt as I would feel in a Flemish chip shop with on-site dining facilities. There was a big difference: the waitress was very friendly and the food was nicely presented and affordable.

If you say you will deliver the food in 20-30min, it should’t be 2h. Do not recommend..

I've placed an order twice now. Both times it went wrong, with the worst being that I called after an hour and a half, only to find they'd forgotten. When you call, you get an employee who doesn't seem to care.

My order took almost two hours to arrive; I even called once in the meantime! The food was cold when it finally arrived. Absolutely do not recommend ordering from here. I gave it one star because it couldn't be lower, but it's not even worth that one star!

Disinterested staff. Filthy business, and the kitchen is the same. This Verhage restaurant should close immediately and everyone should take a course in food preparation, cleaning, customer service, and workwear. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! We were also amazed at how other customers were helped; unfortunately, we weren't the only ones with this problem. Close this place down and start a major cleanup, both inside and out. Get it cleaned up.

Disgraceful company! Placed an order over two hours ago, and when you finally call to ask if your food is still available, you get some kind of teenage chicken coop on the line. They're chattering away, yelling all sorts of things, but they don't speak to a customer. And then they hang up on you without mercy! Not to mention customer service, something they apparently haven't learned there... Last time we ever order from here! Waste of money and a huge waste of time!

We ordered food between 5:00 and 5:30 PM and wanted it delivered. At 5:28 PM, we still hadn't received anything. We called, and according to the manager, it wasn't even 5:30 yet. She told us the delivery driver was on his way and that they hadn't forgotten, our food would arrive in just a few minutes. At 5:45 PM, it finally arrived! The delivery driver said, "Sorry, something had gone wrong." We ate...it was super cold! We called the manager again...we weren't treated kindly! Too bad...Verhage has always been good to us! Terribly poor service after sitting there for 15 minutes. With three staff members for two drinks in an empty room, you ask where they are. The answer comes in a tone of voice. A rude child walking around. The dark-skinned girl. The service was already bad, but this is absolutely ridiculous. I'll check my camera footage today and reconsider what I'm hiring. People, don't order from here!!! I ordered food. It said it would be with me in 15 minutes. 40 minutes later, I called them. The girl said the delivery person was on his way, it could take another half hour. After half an hour, the food still hadn't arrived, so I called again. She said it was being fried now. I said, "What?" I said, "I want to file a complaint." I had to call the manager. I supposedly spoke to her. I don't know how old she was, but she looked like she was 17. I said my children and I were waiting 1.5 hours for our food. She said she was a mother too and that it was already dinner time for the kids. It was strange because everyone eats at their own time. She didn't want to give a discount or a refund, but only ice cream. I said no because my son doesn't eat ice cream. She said she put drinks in it. I said, "Just drink." I was angry when my order arrived without any drinks for my children. These people know nothing about respect. I'm sick for words. I'll never order from here again.

You have to wait two hours when your order says it will take an hour, then you have to call them before they come, and then it tastes like nothing. You're better off just throwing some in the air fryer yourself; it'll taste even better.

The service is attentive, but sometimes the food sits for a very long time before it's brought to the table, which makes it quite cold. When you look through the hatch into the kitchen, it doesn't look particularly tidy. I also wonder why children are working there? I doubt they know anything about hygiene in the kitchen. In my opinion, it's pointless to wear gloves all the time and then touch everything, from clearing the table to serving. Professionalism is a different story. For me, it was my first and last visit.

We had a delicious meal at Verhage's beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious and the customer service was friendly. The iced coffee is really good too!

Terrible service! Everything is slow, and there's absolutely no guidance or organization. It feels more like a playground full of inexperienced children than a restaurant. Absolutely not recommended!

The food is truly delicious! And the toppings are generous. But the service is absolutely terrible. The girls are practically getting in each other's way. There was a girl with glasses serving us. She made quite a few mistakes. She told everyone, "Be right there," only to repeat the same thing 10 minutes later. She lingered at our table throughout the meal. I had a dog with me, and she asked all sorts of questions about it, even though plenty of people were waiting. Another girl wearing a headscarf was fantastic! She tried to smooth things over, apologized for her colleague, and so on. Finally, we had to pay. It was 16.90, and we paid with 20 people and were refunded 8.85. How so? We did mention this politely to the other girl. It's a good thing the food was really good, otherwise we wouldn't have come back.

When ordering or eating in, you have to wait five business days for your food, "yes, but there's a Wi-Fi problem." Do you need Wi-Fi to turn on your deep fryer? And then you finally get your food, and it's cold. The staff are all teenagers. Great place!

This was truly the last time we ordered anything here. The fries were awful. They were an empty shell soaked with grease. It looked like no potato had been used in them. How can a couple of teenagers run such a beautiful place without supervision? We recently ate in the restaurant itself, and the fries were absolutely disgusting then too. We wanted to try again, because yes, I do believe in chances, but no... NEVER AGAIN. The once beautiful and delicious snack bar is gone. Such a shame! It's a great location, but we definitely won't be coming back!

We had a delicious meal at Verhagen in Hellevoetsluis. They have a bacon burger and snack menu. Well-maintained. The tables are clean, as are the restrooms. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. We'll definitely be back. Excellent.

I had to wait over an hour and a half for my order, even though the website said delivery would take 15 to 20 minutes at most. I called anyway to ask where my order was. "Sorry, ma'am, I suddenly got busy," I was told, and I'm next in line. Ugh! First and last time ordering here.

Bought a delicious milkshake. They have a new location in Hellevoetsluis. It turned out really nice.

Order arrived after agreed time. It can happen, but I can't appreciate that our food is cold and the ice cream almost melted. The food could have had more stars if it wasn't cold or melted. And I'm still being polite. Eating in the shop itself is also not an option, long waits and staff that has little interest in helping customers. Been here, it's like a playground with the staff walking around. Dirty tables, croquette was sticky. Staff not to be talked about, sitting there pulling plasters off each other's arms, rubbing their eyes and then making your food yuck yuck. Never again.

Food is always good only lately I find that it takes a super long time for someone to deliver. Only 1 delivery person employed.. maybe better than the option of skipping delivery until there is enough staff.

Food was not tasty. Bami snack was soggy! The fries were tasteless. Previously good experiences but now not recommended!

First wanted to sit outside but many tables were still with dirty dishes from abandoned people. The birds were all sitting on the tables outside eating the remains. I went inside and it was a little better but also dirty dishes. I sat for an hour and I left. The tables had not yet been cleared even though it was not busy at all. It was a downside.

We visited the Verhage in Hellevoetsluis in Holland on our summer vacation in August last year to have something to eat there in the evening. We were shopping in the supermarket here and ended up here by chance while looking for something to eat. Since it was a beautiful, summery day, we sat outside and looked at the menu. After a slightly longer wait, we were finally able to order. It took a little longer for our food to arrive - so we made do with drinks. The food was really tasty, tasted good and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Only the portions were quite small. The men who were there didn't get tired of it. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and the toilets are clean, so there's nothing wrong with that. The employees were also nice and friendly. However, the rating comes about because we had to wait longer and the portions were not enough.

For the delivery person, really nothing but great. Boy is trying his best! But really I can't speak at all about the rest. This is the 1st and last time I order verhage. And please give that delivery person extra pay, he is the only one who, in my opinion, really wants to work and does it! This is not business as usual.

Apparently in the Netherlands children are allowed to run a business. I didn't see any adults here. It took a very long time, everything was delivered one by one like an ant trail. If you asked a question, something was forgotten elsewhere.

Went to the Verhage this afternoon. What a bad experience that was. Ordered a mint tea and the cup was unwashed😫 all black bits on the bottom of the cup. My friend and I wanted to order food, so he walked to the counter to order (This is also stated in the booklet). The man at the counter says to my friend “did it take too long?!”. My friend says it wasn't. The man at the counter tells him to sit down, someone is coming. The waitress goes to talk to the man and she walks to the other side to stare at my friend. After this she walks to another table that she enthusiastically helps and ignores us. We just paid and left. Skip this place, you'd be better off spending your money elsewhere!!

We were there yesterday, two people! We sat at the table for ten minutes, nothing happened. I then went over to the counter and wanted to order food there. An employee pointed out to me that if you eat on site your order would be taken at the table. So I went back to the table, by now there were even more customers there. After another seven minutes, a waitress came and took the order at the neighboring table (guests who came after us) and at the table opposite. She walked past us as if we weren't even there! We then left without eating. What was striking was that a child worked there and the waitress was also very young! Apparently, savings are being made here, especially in terms of staff, which then has a negative impact on the service.

What a great Verhage! Cozy atmosphere, looks beautiful and modern, young but very competent staff. Highly recommended for a bite to eat or a cup of coffee.
