Verhage Plateau in Hoogwerf

The food was fine. It's a shame that the order wasn't taken. It's odd that you are asked to help clear the table when there are 3 staff members!

I normally never write reviews, but this was truly unacceptable. Upon entering, all the tables were dirty, including the bench. Then we ordered a fried egg without ham. It came with ham. We politely asked if it was pork, as some locations are halal. We received a very condescending response. We also asked if the tables could be cleaned briefly, which they came to do quickly. The tuna melt was also tasteless. It was not a pleasant experience and, unfortunately, not worth repeating.

Every time an order goes missing. No peanut sauce and no stroganoff sauce with the schnitzel.. schnitzel way too hard I could throw it so hard. Sorry, but when packing up, you should have immediately called out to the customer that this isn't the first time; I would advise against this place, you'd be better off going to Waterland.

50% of the fries were really tiny, and another 50% had been fried twice or more, making them glassy due to the amount of oil and giving them a strange taste... in other words, scrap fries. The only positive thing about these glassy fries was that they were crispy, because the fries that looked normal hadn't been fried long enough and were therefore soft and mealy. You would think you could expect better for that price and from "Verhage"... Paid 30(!) euros for two simple menus. From now on, I'll fry at home.

I ordered via Thuisbezorgd at 6:00 PM, and at 7:30 PM I called myself to ask where it was. "It was on its way," they said. It wasn't delivered until 7:45 PM, even though I live only 5 minutes away. It was cold, and the burger was lying loose inside the bag, out of the packaging! I understand that it can be busy on a Friday night and I don't complain easily, but I would suggest you do something about your planning, because I find this truly scandalous and I will never order from you again.

I think it has been at least 15 years since I last visited Verhage. The impression I had back then was not as good as it is now. I don't want to talk about that anymore. But what I experienced at Verhage Plateau is truly amazing. The people/ladies working there are all genuinely friendly and service-oriented. I just had delicious ice cream with my daughter. It is spotlessly clean there, and the menu is well-presented with very reasonable prices. We are going to have lunch there soon. Great place, great people. Highly recommended.

Spent a lovely afternoon indulging in treats at Verhage in Spijkenisse, it was a real success! A nice and tasty hamburger, a soft serve ice cream, and a banana sorbet. Nice and cheerful staff! Had a very nice and delicious afternoon!

This is what we found in our shredded beef croquette. Disgusting. Filed a complaint. Heard nothing back. Yuck.

Since they took over the other one, Verhage van Noord has gone downhill. Peanut sauce watery. Staff who have been working there for a very long time can't manage a smile. Only the young girls and boys are customer-friendly! Too bad. I always thought this one was the best.

The food is like you'd find at a chain restaurant, but prepared with love. The staff greets you with a smile.

A lovely local restaurant with very tasty food and a warm atmosphere. We often come here for coffee and ice cream, and it’s always a pleasure. The staff are kind, welcoming, and very helpful. It’s a great place to visit with children, and our family always enjoys spending time here. Definitely one of our favorite local spots!

Worst tuna salad sandwich ever, and I paid for it and waited more than 30 minutes for it. The bread was burnt and inedible, and the tuna came from a can with sunflower oil on the bread. Very disappointing; I didn't even want to say anything anymore, I was already starting to get angry.

Today I ordered a chicken fillet burger to take away. Once I arrived home and opened the box, nothing seemed wrong at first, but after taking a few bites, a rotten smell wafted up. After opening the burger, I saw that the lettuce was spoiled. No problem, that can happen, so I called the place to see what a solution might be, since I order here often and it is always good. I got a woman on the line who said she would consult with the boss; instead of a solution, I was told that the bag of lettuce was still good for another 4 days and that it was impossible for the lettuce to be spoiled, and that it might be a combination of the burger and cheese, and that they couldn't do anything about it. That was the last time I will order here; forewarned is forearmed. The fries, however, were tasty and fine.

Just good food for a normal price

One of the few good quality Verhage restaurants. Almost never any problems, only sometimes they forget the peanut sauce. Otherwise, everything is great!

Now, because they were busy, they automatically placed the order with a different location! And since I was already at that location, I had to order again! I didn't agree with that and spoke to them harshly on the phone! When you use the Thuiszorgd app, they always show the nearest Verhage so you can order from there! Policy: 0 Customer-focused solution: 0 They don't offer refunds! So, I want to inform everyone about this disgusting policy that Verhage is imposing on its customers! So, everyone, I want to ask you to be careful and try to avoid Verhage as much as possible! I spoke with a certain Susan and Dhanpnie! They were extremely rude, and this must be the way today's youth are!

Really good burgers and friendly staff. Well-cooked fries, never a bland meal. Dogs are always welcome, and we even got special chicken nuggets for him once.

Unfortunately, this place hasn't improved recently. Grumpy staff who are completely unfriendly, and everything they ask is too much. It was busy, and we were asked if we could check the large order we'd placed online before taking it home, as it's a considerable amount of money these days. We were immediately met with a grumbling response, and after checking, they discovered something was wrong. No apology was forthcoming. It was all done in a very rushed and unfriendly manner. Once home, it turned out the order was still wrong. We decided to call them. The tone was immediately set when we told them we were missing something. The response was certainly not friendly, but we quickly decided to go back to pick up the missing item so everyone had what they had ordered. Once there, the place was full of people waiting, but we were quickly "helped." They had kept something warm, put it in a bag, and then handed it over. No apology was forthcoming, and a pleasant evening was too much. All in all: limp, tasteless fries, sloppy burgers, and overly greasy snacks—this was definitely not something I'd order again, unfortunately.

I placed an order intended for Vlinderveen. When I went to pick it up, I was told it had arrived here. I couldn't get there due to a lack of transportation. I called and asked if they could move my order to Vlinderveen, but that wasn't possible. Because they had to throw it away, I simply won't get my money back! Very unfriendly customer service.

Sometimes it is a bit busier, and that can of course happen—especially on payday. After waiting a little longer than normal, we called. A super sweet girl answered, immediately apologized and made sure we felt heard. As a bonus, we were allowed to choose an ice cream while waiting, how sweet! And when we received our order, we also received a gift. What a top service! Verhage, you can really be proud of your staff. This is how to get it right!

Business has deteriorated somewhat, staff pays more attention to phone calls than to customers. Croquette was quite overcooked and therefore not tasty. Also strange afterwards, 0.5 cents more was debited than the price on the menu boards! No bag, no plastic, just extra margin!

Just ordered a ham cheese bouncer with a late one. At the time of ordering, I already had a lady standing in front of me who radiated anything but enthusiasm. After ordering, I sat down at a table and as soon as I put my arms on the table they stuck straight away. The table was just dirty and when I looked around I saw that it is not customary for the employees to wipe the table with a cloth. Then I had to wait a long time for my order and it was unfortunately disappointing. Burnt edge and very little egg. Satisfied with eating 1 of the 3 slices of bread without an egg. In short, a flop.

Ordered a menu and a milkshake, a large one and has become a small one, slightly larger than a coffee cup from a vending machine. I just thought I was being tricked, other than that it was okay. The service was quick and friendly and it was also very busy and very warm.

Food is really expensive, the photo below was 51 euros without fries. Menus had been ordered, we started discussing this with the employees. Because apparently if you order 3 menus you will spend 65 euros, which is abnormal!! Verhage is now even more expensive than most restaurants and no longer a snack bar, which is a shame.

Sit comfortably and quietly. I much prefer it to the Mac.

Verhage Plateau, a chip shop where you can order various types of meals for takeaway or you can sit at the tables and chairs available. You have to order at the counter and then you can go to the seating area. Fortunately, they will bring the food. I thought the beef croquette was very small and the cheese soufflé looked like old cheese. The fries were tasty.

Had something to eat on Friday afternoon. Upon arrival, the staff made a rushed impression and this was also reflected in unfriendliness. Food took a long time and was mediocre. Fries were fried twice and were small pieces. Disappointment! I understand that there may be personnel problems, but friendliness is the basis.

Good place for a nice greasy bite

Specially next to Verhage for a delicious ball of minced meat. You will be served in a pan with delicious gravy. Delicious with fries. Had a great meal there.

Very bad service experience. Called because something was missing when ordering, they said come and get it, we sometimes make a mistake. Not acceptable to me because then the rest of the food becomes cold. When asked if money can be refunded, the same answer is: come and get it. So I have to incur costs because they make a mistake. No more Verhage for me with this k..t service.

If you realize halfway through that you accidentally put sauce on the burger that was ordered without sauce, you shouldn't try to wipe the sauce off the burger and put it on another bun. That doesn't work, I can assure you. Furthermore, the fries were also very greasy and the passion fruit milkshake did not taste like passion fruit (not even like fruit at all).

Not the smoothest staff. If something is not out of the freezer, let us know when it is ordered so that the customer knows that it will take a little longer so that you can make a different choice. There were apologies when serving.

The food is always delicious there and so are the ice creams. There is a play kitchen for children where mine always have a great time. The staff is very nice and the food is all affordable.

I come to Verhage more often and in general the food there is fine, but this branch clearly has not understood it. The food was really tasteless. Too bad, because the concept itself is good. Staff do not know how to deal with complaints and do not try to solve them.

Don't eat here if you have to eat gluten free! We thought we would have a nice meal with our family (one with celiac disease). But they fry the gluten-free snacks (croquette, frikandel, cheese soufle) in the same fat as the regular snacks! A shame! Then don't offer it! How do you come up with that?!
