If I could have given less than one star, I would. What incredibly poor service. Ordered the food for 5:30, and it arrived 40 minutes later, cold. Both the fries and the snacks were limp and cold. After calling six times, they finally answered, only to apologize for taking too long to open the door.

I would have preferred to give less than one star. The food arrived half an hour late and was cold. When I called, no apology was given, but they initially told me I hadn't opened the door. Now I'm waiting for a new order to arrive. I wonder how long this will take.

The meat in the burger is made from a very low-quality steak, like a ready-made one from a store

I called the restaurant to place an order and pick it up at a specific time. Upon entering, I said hello and indicated I was there to place an order that had been placed over the phone. The person at the counter started with "hello, how are you doing" in an irritated/angry tone. The food wasn't ready at the agreed-upon time, resulting in a 20-minute wait. Even after waiting, I didn't receive an apology or a goodbye.

Unfortunately, the service on Saturday was unfriendly. She kept chatting with an acquaintance in a non-Dutch language and ignored the customer. After the order was placed, she continued talking but not with the order she had just placed. The bamihap was soggy and spicy, the fries came back multiple times that day, and the curry wasn't to my liking. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. It's a nice restaurant, though. It could be cleaner and the products better covered. Especially with flies in the shop.

I used to come here every week for salmon sandwiches for years, but since that nice guy, Marcel, left, it's gotten so bad. The staff is unfriendly. The mechanic, with his dirty hands, helped me put on the lettuce, a little salmon, and a whole lot of onion. I didn't get a response to my email. No apology, or we'd just refund you €8.55. I'll never go back.

I stumbled across this café while out for a walk and decided to pop in. What a lovely place! The coffee was excellent—full-bodied, creamy, and perfectly warm. The pastries were homemade and tasted like they'd just come out of the oven. The barista was friendly and clearly passionate about his work. The atmosphere was peaceful, with soft jazz music playing in the background. The decor was tasteful and modern, with plenty of light and wooden details. It was the perfect place to unwind. Everything felt personal and carefully crafted. I'll definitely be back.

Tonight I bought fries with mayonnaise and a cheese soufflé here. I was very surprised when I received my order. First of all, there was mayonnaise in the fries container. And an extra container of mayonnaise. Which I paid for without hesitation. The food: The first fries were lukewarm. The rest were warm, meaning they hadn't been fried together. The warm fries also came in two different portions. One of them was almost transparent from the grease. What happens when fries are fried multiple times. Now, I own a fries shop. So I called the manager over. I said, look, this and that. I can't eat half of it. Yes, we've been hearing that a lot lately. And that was that. A missed opportunity, especially after I mentioned that I also own a fries shop. Unfortunately, the Verhage name used to be a good quality snack bar chain. No excuses. No here is your money back.

We ate a burger, the meat was still completely raw, as if it had only been on the stove for a minute. The kids' menu was amazing, with a gift, a drink, ice cream, applesauce, nuggets, and fries.

The service here has become incredibly awful in recent months. It's slowed down and mistakes are made regularly. To top it all off, they've "forgotten" the entire order. After eight years, they won't be seeing me back for a while.

We were here on a Friday night around 17.30. For one we took the chicken satay menu and the other the chicken nugget menu with a bottle of water and a small milkshake. Drinks were quickly brought to our table. Food followed fairly quickly after that. There was nothing wrong. Nice eatery in a not so busy shopping center. Paid € 30.20.

The restaurant is in a nice location and the food was tasty and served quickly. What I found a pity is that the service was not optimal: my order was mixed with someone else's, which meant that I missed a number of products. In addition, sitting outside is not really pleasant, because you are constantly disturbed by pigeons and seagulls.

The ladies behind the counter were friendly, but the discussion was about the customers instead of walking towards each other. The sandwich featured dehydrated arugula mixed with "fresh" arugula. It was richly filled, but really negative points for the dried out lettuce. You were bothered by flies in the business. Not one or two, but at least ten big bluebottle flies that kept coming to sit on you. The atmosphere is also hard to find. Tables with dishes from previous customers, packages of cookies on the floor. Slightly dirty appearance in general. I won't eat here again.

They forgot the bacon on the 2 burgers we ordered. Other than that it wasn't bad, but we were really disappointed because the bacon really finished it off.

I walked by because I needed a disposable fork, and I wasn't allowed one because I hadn't ordered any food from the place. I thought it was quite stingy, it was just a wooden fork that was at the counter.

I came here on a Wednesday evening. The place was pretty crowded, and it felt chaotic. The staff was slow in taking orders. I ordered among others French fries with mayonaise, when I arrived home I found out that the girl was forgotten to add the mayonaise. I could have known because with one customer before something similar happened. He was more lucky to see it before going home. The fries were ok, not good.

Echt slecht eten en personeel. beter ga je ergens anders eten halen of bestellen in Vlaardingen.je eten woord gewoon bij elkaar je gooit en zoek het maar uit geen respect.

Dit is mijn mening: Samen met echtgenoot even een hapje eten bij Verhage Vlaardingen werd gister een bizar slechte avond. Een 1e hap in de kipsaté was oke, maar toen viel er wat glimmends op en bleek het een nietje te zijn! Direct aangegeven en is de manager gebeld. Ongelooflijk, de reactie die volgde en zo laconiek: u mag kiezen tussen nieuwe maken of geld terug. Geen excuses! En ook de veiligheid die in het geding is gaat men volledig aan voorbij. Je bereid voedsel! Ik had al een hap doorgeslikt, het is beangstigend! We hebben ons geld teruggekregen en zijn direct weggegaan, ongelooflijk dat je zo met je klant om gaat. Na een revieuw vanuit mijn kant (welke is verwijderd) wordt er door de eigenaar gemeld dat er wel excuses is aangeboden, tja welles nietes verhaal komt dan om de hoek kijken. En schrijft de eigenaar dat het een raadsel is hoe het nietje erin terecht is gekomen en dat er niet veel wordt gewerkt met nietjes. Schaam je! En laat extern onderzoek doen! Feit blijft namelijk dat je eten iets bevat wat zeer schadelijk is voor de gezondheid van je klant!!

Very bad experience! I thought I would have a nice meal at the Verhage Vlaardingen Hoogendorplaan restaurant with my husband. The 1st bite seemed fine (although I'm still a bit hesitant), with the 2nd bite there was something shiny visible...it turns out to be a staple!! I immediately reported it to the saleswoman and the manager was called. No excuses! Just a laconic response; we can make a new one or refund from this menu. And that was the end of it for Verhage...unbelievable. We left after receiving our money back, but the realization that this is dangerous does not seem to have dawned on this branch.

What an unprofessional team here. Someone practically walks in his underpants. He then grabs both the glasses and the bottle by the edge. Someone gets angry because the fries have been waiting for the snacks for 7 minutes. Staff are more concerned with themselves than with their customers. There is a girl at the cash register, who does not just walk to a colleague to explain something, but with everyone until the colleague walks by. Too bad, very unfortunate, it used to be a nice thing

Hamburgers going through the microwave are weird

3 customers in the restaurant.. 1 customer in front of me. Waited almost half an hour for 1 chicken burger menu. The young man behind the counter was very friendly, yes. Came home with my half cold chicken burger (which had been on the counter waiting for the fries and lettuce) 12 fries and a bowl of lettuce with sauce.. I think this is worth 9 euros.. no not really.. too bad because food is usually always good. Will I come here again.. probably not for a while.

What a shitty atmosphere, no radio in the background while this is always the case. If you ask if you can turn on the radio, they look at you strangely, even though we come here every day. No plus point for this case. Visitors will therefore decline.

Very poorly treated by this unfriendly staff. We went to get some friends and were refused to sit inside the restaurant after stealing. The reason was that it is too busy (there were 2 people inside). The woman behind the counter didn't feel like it anyway and got angry when we said we just wanted to sit inside.

What unfriendly staff. We walked in with a number of friends and the people who didn't order anything had to wait outside in the rain while the rest sat at a table inside. I find this simply absurd and should not be possible. I am deeply disappointed in today's staff that you find in this type of catering industry.

This is not a place to get a nice fries. The fries were just done and almost cold, and the fries war with onions, had no onions. The fries container was exactly filled, where you normally get an overflowing container. The bami bite was a kind of slurry with a spicy drip and the spring roll was soggy and lukewarm. Absolutely never again.

You could eat well here for a very decent price. But unfortunately, shrinkflation has also struck here with half portions. Fortunately the staff is still friendly.

I'm quite disappointed after my visit today. All 3 burgers were cold, the inside was well cooked, only the burgers themselves were quite cold, as were the buns. We also ordered drinks, but they forgot to bring them, and it was only made 15 minutes later when I asked for them (when the food was already gone), even though there was no dog in the shop.

Simply forget your order. If you ask where your food is after waiting twenty minutes, they are a bit shocked but then do nothing to make up for the long wait. Waiting thirty minutes for fried food and the staff thinks it's completely normal. Orders from customers who order after you are being served as usual.

Great place, but note that if you eat halal, you must indicate that you want your fries fried in halal oil, otherwise they will be fried in oil where pork is also fried. I don't understand why you don't separate the oil for frying fries from other products.

Super friendly staff. The Italian toast was super tasty. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Just try to make sure that the drinks come first instead of the food first. And perhaps an idea is to put up a cart that can hold trays. Saves you having to remove tables again when it's busy.

Chaos in my ears, children throwing in the play corner and whining behind me, 2 ladies playing their own music, this has really been enough for the 3rd time.. Sweet service.

First they make you wait fifteen minutes. When you are finally helped, you are told that they are too busy to make a sandwich and that it will take 20 minutes. Understand that it can be busy around lunchtime, but please let us know when you see someone looking at the sandwich menu. Wasn't greeted upon entry either.

Just get some fries from Verhagen, of course with a satay croquette. What I noticed about the fries is that it seems like the fries are undercooked. The outside is brown in color (baked through) but the inside remains soft and mealy. Very different from the fries at Bram Ladage. It probably depends on the type of potato and how it is fried. The satay croquette was good, by the way.

Nette zaak met vriendelijke bediening. Broodje carpaccio en een hamburgermenu besteld. Er is nog wat friet over en dat krijgen we gratis aangeboden.

We wonen in Maassluis en gaan vaak voor een patatje naar van hage in Vlaardingen, het eten word aan de tafel gebracht.

Waardeloze zaak bestel een sundae ijs zo als ze laten zien in de winkel....dat is een voorbeeld zeggen ze dan uhhh ja een voorbeeld is er toch om te laten zien wat je heb,zeg dan gewoon ik heb de producten niet op voorraad om dat te maken vraag om een luxe shake krijg ik een gewone milkshake ze snappen zelf niet wat ze verkopen haal dat bord met voorbeelden dan beter maar weg.

De zaak was eerst helemaal prima, maar is laatste (half)jaar achteruit gegaan: patat minder goed, lawaaiige ruimte met medewerkers die je op barse/hoge toon te woord staan, tenzij er jonge meisjes als klant staan.

Wat een top zaak. Friet saté, zo lekker mals de kip met die pindasaus . Heerlijk gegeten.

The difference with my visit four years ago, a long interval, mostly due to the corona pandemic, is the robust increase in prices. However, in other aspects Verhage is still the same, the better fast food shop. Ordering at the counter, but the food and drinks are brought to the table. Furthermore, there is a good choice of palatable vegetarian snacks, so the meaty snacks, however tasty, from which the ingredients better remain a secret, can be avoided. As ample free parking is provided for at the shopping center where Verhage is located, Verhage is our first choice when we are under way with our car and forgot to lunch as was the case today.

Het is een erg leuke plek, we brengen hier graag tijd door, we komen vaak na school met mijn zon, aardige mensen, omgeving en zeker heerlijk ijs! altijd leuk om te bezoeken.

4 man personeel , 2 staan er niks te doen moet lang wachten voor ik geholpen word niet echt heel vriendelijk , stond tijd v d balie niemand zegt kom zo bij U , diegene die mij moet helpen blijkbaar druk met andere dingen , en rest mag mij niet helpen staigieres? Maar zeg even iets tegen iemand , kom zo bij U is , wel netjes ! Geen notie nemen van klanten !

Het eten is heerlijk over het algemeen, echter als je online besteld met een ophaaltijd verwacht ik dat het wel klaar staat en niet dat dan alles nog gebakken moet worden. De bestelling is 2 uur van te voren geplaatst.

Fijne zaak om tussendoor een hapje te eten. Zowel binnen als buiten is er plaats. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het eten erg lekker als je van hamburgers, frikandellen, friet en kippenhapjes, enz houdt.

Afhalen is prima maar geen aanrader om te zitten. Alles was vies en plakte. Aankleedkussen kind is totaal op een vies

Buiten dat wij een ander filiaal in Capelle aan den Ijssel, een week eerder hadden aangedaan, gingen wij nu ook naar het filiaal in Vlaardingen langs! En daar werden wij ook verrast, door de sfeer, de kwaliteit van wat wij besteld hebben, en de vriendelijkheid en service van het personeel! Ook voor ons geld hier, hier komen wij graag terug, om nog vaker van alles te kunnen genieten, en dat tegen betaalbare prijzen! Wat wil je nog meer, Genieten dat zal je Zeker! De moeite waard om binnen te stappen, en na het nuttigen van een of meerdere snacks en drankjes, tevreden de deur uit en tot ziens te zeggen! Zeker tot ziens!

More than fine, overall compared to other snackbars a level higher.

Verhage is lang niet altijd een garantie voor goed en vakkundig. De formule doet het wel zo voorkomen, maar er zijn een aantal vestigingen die hun sokken mogen optrekken. Die in Vlaardingen op de Hogendorplaan is er daar een van. Het personeel is naar goed Vlaardings voorbeeld op zijn best wanneer ze kunnen verzuimen service te leveren. Op het eten is weinig aan te merken al is het prijzig voor wat je krijgt en is een burger blijkbaar een excuus voor plastic kaas. Door de inrichting krijg je het gevoel dat er geprobeerd is er iets van te maken, maar het schot dat zitten van wachten scheidt geeft ook de feel van een busstation waar te lang op de volgende bus gewacht wordt. Jammer want de sate is gewoon heel lekker en de loempia, nadat het vet eruit was gelopen, verrassend goed gevuld.

Goede hamburger gegeten en dochter patat versgemaakt en uitgeserveerd goed van smaak. Vriendelijke medewerkers

Verrassend goed eigenlijk. Je gaat naar binnen verwacht een normaal snackbar maar zodra je links kijkt zie je dat er een ruime zitgedeelte is die goed uitgerust is als restaurant. Eten was goed maar alle extra dingetjes erbij tikken wel snel aan. Prijs is een mix van restaurant en snackbar. De keuze bv tussen de frietjes wordt wel gevraagd maar niet bij vermeld dat het dan ook gelijk extra kost.

Voor een leuke prijs prima en veel eten. Sanitair keurig schoon. Meubilair (bank) iets versleten. Rolstoel toegankelijk maar geen invalidentoilet.

Niet echt gezellig en eten onder gemiddeld jammer.

Bagger zooi, service ver te zoeken, werdt gezegd u kunt zitten en dan komen we bij u duurde te lang dus maar naar de balie gelopen. Milkshake Oreo is de Oreo ver te zoeken. Voor een menu betaal je minimaal 1.50 meer als los bestellen. Bestelling; patat koud, kip droog dus heb het laten staan en me geduld raakte op. 1x en nooit meer !

I write this as I wait more than 90 minutes for 4 portions of fries and nuggets. After several complaints, and several times promising us that the food will be ready in 5 minutes we are still waiting. After complaining to the take away area and being told that the food will be ready in 5 minutes we are still waiting. Incredible bad service!!!
