I had the truffle pasta at Veri Sapori, and it was simply fantastic. From the first bite, you can taste the genuine ingredients and love for Italian cuisine. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the truffle flavor was beautifully balanced: aromatic and deep, but never overpowering. What's most striking is the purity of the dish. No unnecessary fuss, just exactly how you'd expect to eat it in Italy. The sauce was creamy without being heavy, and every bite remained elegant and full of flavor. With this truffle pasta, Veri Sapori demonstrates their commitment to quality and authenticity. Highly recommended for lovers of authentic Italian food, and truffle in particular. I'll definitely be back.

I’ve been to Veri Sopari a few times now, including on my birthday, and I’ve always really liked the food. You usually need to book ahead, which is fine, but it makes it even more frustrating that the service has been consistently awful every single time. The staff are always rude and genuinely not hospitable. They have this attitude like it’s a chore to be working or serving you. They barely acknowledge us, they don’t make any effort to be welcoming, and they constantly leave us waiting for even the simplest things. Today was the worst yet and the whole experience was extremely disappointing. The food is great, but the service is so unbelievably bad that we won’t be going back. It’s such a shame, because the place could be amazing if they actually treated their customers properly.

The owner didn't look so happy, no hospitality at all! We didn't feel welcomed. Many a times he stared at us in the eyes without even a smile (even when we tried to smile to him) when he was taking order or bringing the food, never came to ask if everything was OK with our food. Food was not that delicious that you can find as authentic in Italy. My spagetti was a bit sandy now and then in my bites, could be from the mussels that were not washed properly. This is the very first time we try this restaurant though it is steps away from our house. The restaurant looks small cosy, but BIG thumb down for the service attitude. Amstelveen doesn't have so much to offer in term of restaurants, while this could have been our eat-out choice in town, yet we will never come back!

I’ve been lucky enough to eat at excellent high-end restaurants worldwide, but this spot remains one of my absolute favourites. I’ve eaten here countless times, yet the food and service still impress me every single time. The quality, consistency, and care that go into every dish are unmatched, and the staff always make you feel genuinely welcomed. Whenever I’m in the Netherlands, it’s one of the first places I go to and return to over and over and over again.

The food was absolutely delicious! Friendly people who really take the time to ensure your meal is delicious and well-prepared. In my opinion, the best Italian restaurant in the country!

It's so nice to be back here. It's been a few years since it's located completely off the beaten track, tucked away in an older neighborhood in Amstelveen. I don't even like Italian cuisine, but my companions absolutely love it. That's why it's all the more surprising that I really enjoyed the food. The terrace has been renovated, but the food and service are familiar and good. It's worth a detour.

I've eaten there several times now; it's a really great place! Super tasty food, great service, and a very cozy atmosphere. I even learned to eat pasta without a knife! In short, highly recommended!

Very tasty. Thought the portions were just too small. There was plenty of room in the conservatory. In the restaurant you sit too close to each other. But I will definitely eat there a few more times.💕

Food is disappointing and so is the service. It was striking that a lot of attention was paid to “regular guests” and we new guests were put in a bad spot where hardly any attention was paid to them. We had to call the waiter three times for our orders. The food didn't have much flavor and was too rich for us. Not worth repeating.

Had a fantastic meal, of course we chose the pasta parmigiano, which is made in the restaurant with vodka flambéed in the cheese itself and topped with truffle, highly recommended! Service speaks Italian and is neat and pleasant. A bit hidden in an unpleasant corner of Amstelveen, but if you know where to find it... you will feel like you are in Italy.

I have never eaten such a delicious risotto as here. Truly phenomenal! I definitely recommend this restaurant for real Italian food lovers.

The service here was terrible! One of the servers at the front was very rude to me and my family and at one point almost hit my father on the head while bringing a wine bucket to the neighbouring table, hitting the chair instead. No apology, not even a glance. Shameful! When we asked questions he was also rude with his reply, but to be paying over 50 euro a person and receive that kind of service is just ridiculous. I would not recommend!

Had a wonderful evening at this cozy restaurant in Amstelveen. Food was delicious, just a little more special than your standard Italian restaurant. Service was great, even though they were very busy. Cheerful, cozy and welcoming. I'll definitely be back!

The food was delicious. I gave 4 stars to service because as soon as we arrived at the restaurant, they reminded us that we had to leave 2 hours later. We were just two people and the reservation made 2 weeks before. Atmosphere would be better, I found it moderate.

I've lived in Amstelveen for a long time, but I never knew there was such a good Italian restaurant here. The antipasto misto and misto di bruchette had a good taste using beautiful ingredients. We ordered this together with bruschette pomodoro and mozzarella and it was sufficient for 5 people. The wine list has two pages with very pricey wines, but we took the Montepulciano from 2018: good red wine. As a starter, of course, we all had the pasta nel parmigiano, which we also came especially for. Wonderful to see how the prepared pasta with truffle is prepared in the cheese and flambéed with spirits (vodka) to melt the cheese, among other things. Good portions with lots of flavor. Fabulously delicious. My table companions still had room for a key lime pie and tiramusu, which was also good. The place was packed for a weekday: also a good sign. The time between courses was therefore a bit long, but we were in no hurry at all. Service was very adequate and attentive despite being busy. It's not cheap, but that's certainly fair for the quality offered. So all in all, recommended and we will definitely come back

Veri Sapori is an absolute household name in Amstelveen. We've been coming here for years. The tastiest pasta and Italian dishes. Top favorite. With the nicest service.

Food is always great here! Service is very nice as it should be. Knowledgeable staff. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was ruined by a noisy celebrity with his phone on full volume just to be seen and heard. It would have been nice if the staff had said something about it. It determined the entire atmosphere of the conservatory and was the reason for us to leave early. That doesn't change the fact that we used to enjoy coming here and will certainly do so again.

Very good food and service in a family restaurant.

I have eaten there regularly and I was completely satisfied, last time no more bread and spreads, at least the guests who ordered bottles of wine received attention and were left dissatisfied after half an hour. Food was good, but service was minimal, if you want to earn money quickly, fine, but not with me there. Take care!!

I think it's a little expensive, but it's the same in Amsterdam. It's not Germany and it's hard to find cheap Italian food here. This is a store that will cheer you up. I had Penne al salmone for the first time, and it was tangy and delicious. The taco salad was also good. Congratulations to Napoli on winning for the first time in 33 years.

Bruschetta dry and simple, limoncello cake dry, little limoncello tasted and quite pricey. Spaghetti parmigani was delicious. But above all, I found the service (owner) really not hospitable. No welcome, had to hang up coats yourself, grab coats yourself when leaving. No attention for us as guests... maybe it was just bad timing, but I found it quite disappointing

High expectations in advance, because this restaurant is known for its high quality food. The food was good (we wouldn't call it excellent), but the service in Veri Sapori was downright bad. It's a shame for the young female employee, who was quite friendly, because her young male colleague really brought down the mood with his arrogant attitude and curt responses, which had a negative impact on our experience. From the first moment until our departure, he couldn't help but smile and he didn't go the extra mile to make his guests feel welcome. There is a total lack of friendliness and hospitality in our eyes. When we asked for a little extra time to choose our main course, it was made clear to us (not in so many words) that we had to speed things up a bit, because the menus would get in the way of serving the food. appetizer. Smooth service can be nice, but the courses were rather rushed through, which with the unfriendly male waiter did not exactly contribute to creating a pleasant evening. All this, for no apparent reason to us. If you don't like the job of pleasing people, then don't be there, we think. We are sorry, but this experience has left us bitterly disappointed with Veri Sapori and will not be repeated. Very sorry.

Delicious food, too expensive, unpleasant decor, staff were standing next to our table fooling around and shouting, very inappropriate (and we were already sitting next to the open kitchen with a lot of noise). Won't be back despite the good quality of the food.
