Super tasty food, super good service, very friendly staff

The staff were very friendly and the food was served on time. The taste was excellent, especially the lamb.

I was here for a business dinner on a Tuesday evening. Very, very busy. Great, cosy atmosphere. Top service, despite the large number of guests. Delicious food. The only slight negative impression: it was quite noisy. Either my hearing is getting worse or it was because we were sitting at a table in the middle of the restaurant. Nevertheless, I'd gladly come back. Greetings from Switzerland.

Had a bad experience on Saturday. Ordered soup with bacon bits in it. No bacon. Asked for the staff, and they told me it did have bacon bits. It was very rude to contradict a customer. In the kitchen, it turned out the soup did have bacon bits, but only at the bottom, and it hadn't been ladled very deeply. The veal in the main course was tough and overcooked. There were eight baby beans and two potatoes on the side. Soup was €10.50, main course €30. What a disappointment! And the place was packed, and there were too few staff. I waited from 6:30 to 8:00 for my food. I will NEVER go there again.

Pleasant atmosphere, beautiful restaurant. Only, the food was way too salty. Fortunately, this was resolved very leniently, so thanks for that. But please make the food less salty, because that's outdated.

We went here for dinner with a group of 11. It took a very long time to get our food. We had to ask twice. Also, one person's meat was way overcooked. The pizza I had was okay. The tiramisu was quite disappointing. One person said they couldn't drink milk, to which a waiter replied, "Very good." So, no? We won't be back.

Food was really good. I would advice ordering a starter and main or main and dessert to be full.

We had a wonderful evening. Great service, especially fast. Atmospheric restaurant, the food is very good and tasty. We had the spaghetti with truffle sauce and tiramisu for dessert. It was a good choice for us.

We were early, and the pizza arrived quickly and was delicious. We were asked if we wanted dessert, which we did. But the menu never arrived. After a while, I asked another staff member, and he brought it. I wanted a lemon tart with a cappuccino. The coffee arrived quickly, the tart a bit later. The coffee was lukewarm. A shame. And I think €8.25 for a glass of wine and €10.25 for a pastry (which I've had better) is quite expensive. Or is that just me?

The pizzas weren't delivered for another hour and a half! The pizzas were lukewarm and the crust was soggy. The taste was decent, but we expected better from an Italian restaurant. We won't be returning again.

Everything was amazing! The food was fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic — just like in Italy. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was fast. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, perfect for a relaxed dinner. We especially loved the pasta and tiramisu. Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to highly recommended!❤️❤️❤️🇮🇹🍕🍝

There was only one waiter who knew what he was doing! I'd been here four years ago, and the food and service were better then. The salt and pepper shaker on the table was so dirty it was sticky and looked absolutely awful. From the weekly menu, I had salmon with orange sauce, but it was absolutely inedible! Too bad, we won't be back.

The location is bigger than I expected. We were welcomed friendly and the service was fast, they knew their menu and could give advice. The food was a pleasant surprise, very tasty. The starter with clams and mussels was tasty and perfectly cooked. The linguini was well filled with the fruits de mer and delicious. The Madame Jeanette oil was an extra addition that I recommend. A must to eat here, I will definitely go back.

Second time here and again disappointed!! Food is ok quality but the service is despicable ! Both times , the waiter forgot our order and blamed it on the system . Either their systems suck or they have very incompetent staff ! Either way , happened twice .. won’t be a third time !

This restaurant is too overrated. Myself rate here as below 2. Foods was not fresh and taste nothing. Plating was very street-like. We had 2 antipasti which was same as selling at supermarket, main dish rib-eye and seafood pasta but could not finish it. Furthermore the services was also not satisfying us.

I had a fantastic dining experience at this Italian restaurant. The pasta with seafood was absolutely amazing – perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients and rich flavors. The vegetarian pizza was also delicious, with a crispy crust and a great balance of toppings. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine!

Nice restaurant with a beautiful garden where you can sit. The waiters were friendly, the restaurant neat and clean. Unfortunately the carbonara was not tasty and contained too much sauce/cream. Hopefully this was a one-off. My colleague had the filled ravioli and it was delicious.

Waited 65 minutes for a pizza and salad. They did not even say sorry.

Fine. 1 'complaint': the acoustics are very poor, making it really noisy. Easy to solve with the usual means: thick curtains, acoustic panels, etc. Just do it and it will be great and we will come more often

What a disappointment today. They forgot part of my order upon delivery. I had to call to get the rest. Had several people on the phone. Ordered a 3 course menu. Carpaccio, pasta tiramisu. Thought I would get good food but it was nothing. Carpaccio was more like a container with arugula and lots of cheese. And a few very thin slices of meat. Really had to search under all that lettuce and cheese. Pasta was also loads of sauce. Pasta filling had no taste of ricotta with spinach. Tiramisu is just a bowl of whipped cream and lots of cocoa. You don't taste amaretto or mascarpone. Paid so much money for nothing. Too bad because the food wasn't that bad before. No more Villa Borghese for me.

Beautiful tent, nice terrace, atmospheric and excellent service. Unfortunately, the food is not what you would expect given the prices and this atmosphere. The flavors are all just not right. Pizza a bit flat. Fries should have been in the fat for 2 minutes longer. Grilled chicken perfectly tender, but in a huge ditch of flat cream.

The food is very good, but the service is always very slow. Often a long wait to be able to order. Once you have ordered it is usually there quite quickly.

simply the best restaurant in the neighborhood of Amsterdam. It's located in the old town center of Amstelveen. Nice environment and generous choice of dishes and wines. You can choose to have a pizza or go for traditional italian cuisine from antipasto all the way to the liquor. Prices are in the mid/high range but definitely worth the extra pennies.

The food was good and tasty. The service at the table (particularly with regard to drinks) could have been better.

It is an excellent restaurant with exquisite Italian food. Friendliness and pleasant atmosphere.

I ordered a sea bass grill dish for 30 euros. It only came with a piece of meat and there was also very little salad and potato. So I was just hungry after the meal. For 30 euros a piece of fish meat is simply not allowed. Next time (if I come again) I would only eat pizza for 15 euros, nothing else.

The food was okay but not more than that. Not very special. The dishes, various pastas, were bland. Not really refined. I have visited better Italian restaurants. We sat in the back, in the second section with a view of the pizza oven. Atmosphereless. The worst part, however, was the service. The starter and main course were delivered fairly quickly, but the service was not really great. I expect hospitality and service that gives you the feeling of being a guest. They weren't really paying attention even though it wasn't really full. If you have to ask for a drink yourself, something goes wrong. Management must pay attention to this. After the main course and clearing the table, we had to wait more than an hour until someone came by to ask if we wanted anything in the way of desert or drinks. For me this is a clear sign that things can and should be improved here in terms of managing the team. A disappointing experience for me.

We had dinner at this restaurant yesterday and it was great! The food was delicious. The service was fantastic; the staff were friendly and attentive which made the atmosphere really pleasant. We were with a large group, but everything was arranged perfectly. And Roberto, he really makes the very best scroppino! An absolute must for a pleasant evening!

The food was excelent. But the female waitress was not so good. No communication at all and she was putting de drinks down the hardway. Not very pleasent. The male helper was very nice as it should be. If you don't like the work then go home.

Exceptional failure in all areas. Food is taken away while people are still eating, food was not served at the same time per course. Which meant that some people still had to start when everyone else had already finished. What has been ordered has not been reserved and is therefore cold. 32,- for a rib eye but it is actually a sirloin steak with canned carrots, tenderloin tips with ravioli was not tenderloin but simmered meat. Pizzas were not properly baked and were cold: served lukewarm. Bottled water is poured without consultation and overcharged. Never, never again. It's scandalous how these people work, no love at all just for money.

Food was fine, but there was a huge blood flow, we were outside again in 1 hour and 15 minutes. There were 4 of us and the food did not come at the same time, both for the starter and main course. It was also way too busy, you could barely hear each other. Food itself was fine.

For years it has been a regular address for delicious Italian food, often with a large group! Staff are always friendly. The pasta that is further prepared in a large cheese followed by truffle is highly recommended. In the summer you can sit outside on the large terrace.

Good Christmas dinner with a group of 13 people. Nice atmosphere. Entrée of pasta and side dish were excellent; meat dishes were better than the fish dishes.

Delicious dinner with four people. Too bad that the spontaneous bread basket with 8 small pieces of bread that came to the table unsolicited was added to the bill for 7.50 euros. It would be nice if you told the guests that this is not complete. In addition, it is really too expensive for those 8 small pieces of bread. These are normal tourist traps on holiday but do not belong in a good restaurant. We felt this detracted from the rest of the experience and the delicious food.

It was an early New years celebration on a wednesday night with a large 20person table. We are so impressed with the extraordinary hospitality of the staff which we did not expected at all. They even played songs to cheer us up and we ended up celebrating altogether with the other tables. The atmosphere at this location is so great. The way in which the employees make you feel at ease and listen carefully to your wishes; that's incredibly fantastic. The prime rib; to die for. So, highly recommended! Enjoy the hospitality at Villa Borghese!

Unfortunately, it was not a very good experience. For only a main course, it took us 2 hours whilst being at the end of the shift. The requested tap water was not brought, only 1 drink (my empty glass stood 1.5 house in front of me). There is no offer to refill. You have to wait for everything in the service, but the food is thrown on your table with fast Italian flair. The food was OK. The beef pieces were very dry, but the sauce and ravioli compensated. They are more busy with getting the tables ready for tomorrow's shift than serving the customers. A lot of of customers are smoking and will sit next to you after their outside smoke, making your food smell like a fresh cigarette.

It was again atmospheric, cozy and busy. The food was tasty. It's a shame that my tagliatelle with truffle sauce was not prepared at the table in the large Parmesan cheese. This was indicated as such.

Cuisine not extraordinary and rather expensive for the level of quality. The service was friendly and fast. A lot (too much) noise so it's difficult to talk to each other without shouting.

The restaurant with a soul. Everything in this restaurant was exceptional: the cuisine, the ambiance, and the service. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the flavors are simply unforgettable. We will undoubtedly be returning.

Haven't been to the restaurant itself yet, but the food is delicious. I discovered this through my colleague who lives in Uithoorn. And a new location opened there a while ago. It was very tasty there and at this location it is also a wonderful taste explosion in my mouth. 👌🏼

The food was delicious. But the service can be improved. First of all, they forgot the drinks for half of the table (we were a group of 7) and we had to ask for them; then they messed up the order and 2 people from our group had to wait for their main course.

Celebrated my friend's birthday here. Beautiful restaurant and great service. The owner even cut the cake for us. Even though a number of friends only arrived after closing time, solutions were thought up to provide them with food. The food was top notch and the staff experienced. Highly recommended!!

Took a while but totally worth the wait! We were here for the first time even though we have been living in Amstelveen for 18 years… It was busy, the weather was nice and all tables outside were occupied. We had to wait a while for our food, but we had the time. With the first bite everything was forgotten: simply delicious! The saltimbocca was excellent and very flavorful. The other dishes were also excellent. With drinks and main menu only 160 euros for 5 people.

It is always a pleasure to dine at Villa Borghese. Food is delicious, extensive menu, REALLY Italian and the staff is very friendly. You'll feel like you're in Italy!

An excellent price-quality ratio

Shame about the service. Very grumpy. Knife just pulled away from table without saying anything. We were not asked if we wanted water even though water glasses were on the table. 1 waiter was friendly but would not come back here.
