I tried chicken curry today, because I hadn't liked the nasi chicken satay before. The first time, the food wasn't warm at all. After a short time, I got it back, and while it was warm, it had absolutely no flavor, and before I could finish it, it had cooled down again. The dry salad had no dressing at all. No more hot meals here, that much is clear to me.

Chicken soup was very salty, I don’t know how you can eat this. And 4 eur is too high price for a instant soup 👎

Money-grabbing moguls with a monopoly at the VU University Medical Center. People don't eat in a hospital for fun. €3.50 for a small bottle of water and €6 plus for a cheese sandwich...

Tasteless food, poor service, lukewarm croquettes and sausage rolls, dried out and falling apart. Not worth your money.

My guests popped into the restaurant. I ordered fries and a cup of coffee. A small plate of fries cost €5.15!!! and the coffee cost €3.75. The coffee beans had apparently flown through. I didn't taste any coffee. If you charge prices like that, deliver quality! YOU ARE EXPLOITING AN OFTEN HOPELESS SITUATION. CUSTOMERS HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE.

The restaurant was always highly recommended. Since 2012, I've eaten and drank there weekly, both on the outpatient clinic side and the hospital side. Today, April 9, 2024, after not having eaten there for a year, I tried to have lunch there, in the restaurant on the hospital side. What a huge disappointment. Everything was vegan. Everything was zero. No regular food or drinks. No white bread available. Everything was under the guise of, "This is healthier, ma'am." I can't eat brown bread because of my gut. But nowhere does it say it's a vegan restaurant. I'm not vegan and I don't want that shoved down my throat without asking. I want to decide for myself what I eat, and if I choose a sausage roll, I don't want a flattened piece of vegan stuffed in puff pastry. Because the waiter told me I'd chosen a puff pastry roll, I should have known it was vegan. I feel utterly ripped off. There was no goodwill. I was simply told it was my own fault, I should have looked more carefully. Okay, but what? There was no indication of anything. I'd always praised this restaurant, but this was the last time. I'd like feedback on this. €25 could have gone straight down the drain.

The food is beyond words. Ridiculous prices for such terrible food. Nasi brem and brem salty. Chicken thighs horribly greasy, hamburger disgusting. And they dare to sell it per portion for 12.90!!!!!! Coffee undrinkable. What a sad, sad experience.

A bit pricey at €16.95 for a plate of pasta and a bottle of green iced tea. But quite tasty and fresh.

Little choice, way too expensive

The prices are absurdly high, almost antisocial for a hospital. The food is also fine.

I always go there when I visit the VUMC!
