Fish and wine were excellent , service can be improved.

I found this restaurant via an app that counts the calories from a photo. These mussels fit my daily calorie intake perfectly and are high in protein. The taste was very good. The service and decor here are also perfectly fine.

Very friendly service, the kids' menu is a full portion. The best oysters ever eaten (the same owner has an oyster bar across the street - we would definitely go back but didn't have enough time right now). Every menu has something extra and attention is paid to the small details, which makes it a special and delightful experience!! Extensive wine list; we let them choose and got to taste between 2 delicious wines. P.S.: the dog was also welcome.

Tuesday is lobster night! We had a delicious meal from the lobster menu. It is highly recommended to eat here. The food tasted fantastic and the staff was also professional and enthusiastic.

A spacious outdoor area, friendly service, a nice menu that made it hard to choose from. We ended up going with lobster tacos, spicy tuna rolls, scallops (not pictured) and lobster bisque to share.

Six Fine de Claire oysters and a Caesar salad with prawns, along with sparkling water and a glass of Pinot Blanc, came to just over 60 euros with a 10% tip. The oysters were very flavorful and simply delicious. The salad was really fine, and the fact that the prawns were still a bit warm indicated that they were freshly prepared. The service was very correct (a cup of asparagus soup offered as an amuse-bouche) and there was wonderful passion regarding the wine list. Top notch.

On March 8, 2026, we visited this bar, and I'd like to share my experience. There were four of us for dinner. We ordered oysters for four people and the next day we both came down with a severe stomach bug, complete with vomiting, heatstroke, tremors, and diarrhea—the whole nine yards! It was awful! I also want to mention that the lobster we ordered wasn't fresh; it was small and dry. The sea bass fillet portion was a mere 50 grams, far too small. Only the wine was good, but it was from France. The Portuguese oysters might not have been fresh and could have contained the virus. The prices are a bit steep for the quality of the food. It's a shame, really, because the ambiance is lovely and cozy, even though the place is small. The waiters were friendly and polite and served us well. It's just a pity about the food and the oysters. : ... We contacted this bar by email, and the owner claims it's normal for oysters to sometimes contain bacteria 🤦🏻‍♂️ So, folks, be careful if you order oysters here. A week off work and out of commission. We're also reporting this restaurant to the health department in The Hague as a precaution; they'll have to investigate whether it's normal to serve oysters containing stomach flu viruses to guests. My personal opinion is: This is a tourist trap. I'm baffled by the good reviews. I paid over €300 and I feel scammed – a tourist trap.

After our restaurant visit on March 8, 2026, at approximately 5:00 PM, all four members of our group experienced severe health problems in the early morning hours. We had eaten oysters that evening, among other things. The symptoms appeared in all of us almost simultaneously: severe hot flashes, violent vomiting, headaches, and later diarrhea and extreme weakness. These symptoms lasted for about two days, so none of us were able to work and we had to cancel important appointments. We contacted the restaurant by email. We were informed that everything had been checked and was supposedly fine. Nevertheless, we would like to share our experience so that other guests are aware and should be cautious when consuming oysters or similar raw seafood at this restaurant. This experience was very distressing for us, which is why we currently advise against visiting.

We visited the restaurant on Sunday, March 8, 2026, with friends (a total of four people) in the afternoon/evening. Some time after our visit, we all experienced severe gastrointestinal problems. Among other things, we ate oysters there. All four of us developed similar symptoms, some of which persist to this day – several days later. The symptoms are significant and not only severely impact our daily lives but have also resulted in some of us being unable to work. The fact that all four guests developed the same symptoms almost simultaneously after eating together is very concerning, and we feel it is important to warn other diners. We expect the highest standards of storage, freshness, and hygiene from a restaurant, especially when serving delicate products like oysters.

A true seafood restaurant. A wonderfully extensive menu. We had scallops San Jaquers as a starter. Fantastic flavor and a delicious sauce. Then, for the main course, we had plaice and a pasta dish with large shrimp. Both were also delicious. Along with the food, we enjoyed a delicious Portuguese red wine and a wonderful Brand beer. For dessert, we had a delicious crème brûlée.

I spent over a week in The Hague this summer and tried many different restaurants. Vigo Seafood was by far the best. The service was excellent, and the quality of the fish and seafood was outstanding. Highly recommended!

Popped in post Conference registration for a lunchtime bite with my publisher.... We seemingly were the only ones there so service was attentive yet unobtrusive.

The happy oyster hour is fake! We went to the restaurant at 15:30 on a wednesday, which was supposed to be the happy oyster hour, but only after we sat and order drinks they told us that they don't have the oyster hour anymore.

Everything was free. Since we were there with children, there was no food for us. That's unacceptable.

Tuna tacos were tasty but not very big. Sushi was also tasty, even though didn’t look representable and quite small for the 22 euros but I liked it. My friend liked the fish but it was super simple. Look at the plate in the picture, it cost 30 euros 😅 Yes, she did ask to change rice for fries but again it doesn’t look very appealing. We also waited for like an hour for the main course. The waiters didn’t know much about the menu and had to go to the kitchen and bar to ask everything. We found out later that they charged us twice for the wine but I was able to send them an email and they agreed to return the money for the wine and even for cod fish garnishes which was very nice. Verdict: Can be tasty but with all other things I mentioned I didn’t feel like it was worth the money.

Instead of eating at the Marriott, I'd rather take a 10-minute walk. Delicious fish dishes, salads, vegetables, and delicious wine. Very friendly service. And reasonable prices.

What I find so unfortunate is that the quality is getting worse! I had ordered a sole and also paid the price for it. Unfortunately it came from the freezer. It was not fresh and for a sole much too small! Paid too much and got too little ... too bad. It didn't taste either. Told the waitress and like in so many restaurants these days, nothing is done here anymore. We used to come here regularly but that is no longer the case ... I want quality for my money!

Extremely disappointing service – ruined our Mother’s Day lunch I came with my daughter to celebrate Mother’s Day and was truly looking forward to a nice lunch. I had already seen the menu and tried to explain some dietary preferences, but the waitress responded with a negative attitude right from the start. When I asked about non-alcoholic drinks (since there was no menu), she dismissively said, “the same as everywhere else” – not exactly helpful. She walked past our table several times without even making eye contact or taking our order. Eventually, I had to get up and go to the counter myself. Even then, she remained distant and unbothered. Another waitress finally stepped in and kindly offered us a complimentary sushi dish, but the damage was done. At these prices, the least you expect is decent, respectful service. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back or recommending this place.

Goed ontvangst , vriendelijk personeel, Hele goede wijn en menu kaart. De dagvis was de rode zeebaars en deze was heerlijk ! Een aanrader! Ik ga zeker nog een keer terug.

Our family visited this restaurant in the Easter, I would say quite disappointed for this bad experience. The woman who served us do not want to serve us with a good manner. And important is the food, u can see from pictures, there is one which looks not good and even unhealthy, I just asked to change one of them, she tried to joke me and do not understand my English and I point out that broke one , and have u seen the difference, she said no, and there is nature products should be like this. My requirement ist quite easy just change one , she said no, we do not have it anymore. We spent 223 euros in total but we get bad experience. Never come again !

De Oosterschelde kreeft is er weer. En waar kun je die beter eten dan bij Vigo Seaofoodbar... heerlijk klaargemaakt en met een lekker wijntje erbij. Leuke bediening dus alles helemaal top👌

I have to say that I'm quite disappointed. We came in thinking we would be welcome with a dog. They told us we can only sit outside, which okay, I can respect that. We were exited for food, because it looked amazing on pictures, and they have a good reviews. That was a next disappointment. The food looked beautiful, but it absolutely lacked any taste. I don't know if the cook is allergic to salt and pepper? Otherwise the fish was cooked nicely. Also it was written in menu that you get a salát and fries to your food. Which as I understood should be for ever, meal. There I was probably wrong, since we got only one portion of both. Okay fine, we ate what we got and ordered a dessert. That is probably the only reason I give 2 stars to be honest. The waited didn't look very exited to have any customers there at the beginning, it got better with time. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting haag only for a few days. I think there are better (and cheaper) option to be found around the city. And also, which server gives a dessert spoon on the table outside without any napkin, plate on anything else? Just put it on the table and left.

Wer Meeresfrüchte in einem gemütlichen Ambiente genießen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Es gibt eine gut dimensionierte Auswahl an Speisen, zum größten Teil natürlich Meeresfrüchte und Fischgerichte. Wir hatten vorweg Austern aus 3 Regionen, danach je eine üppige Vorspeise und als Hauptgang je ein Fischgericht. Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden. Alle Gänge wurden zügig serviert und trugen jeweils ihre eigene überzeugende Handschrift des Kochs/der Köchin. Auf ganzer Linie hat uns der Service und die Weinempfehlungen überzeugt. Wir konnten verschiedene Weine probieren und der junge Kellner hatte sichtlich Freude uns das Beste aus dem Weinkeller zu präsentieren. So passten die Weine hervorragend zu den Gerichten und wir konnten Weine kennenlernen, die wir vorher noch nicht kannten. So soll Kulinarik sein. Gut gemachte Speisen in Verbindung mit hervorragenden Weinen und der Interaktion zwischen Gast und Service. Wirklich top!

No es como solía ser. En el pasado este restaurante era muy bueno. Esto ya no es así. La calidad y el sabor de la comida no es muy bueno y la camarera era simplemente muy arrogante. No es lo que esperarías de un restaurante así. Nunca fue así en el pasado. Estábamos muy decepcionados. Vigo solía ser mi restaurante favorito, pero ahora ya no volveremos a este lugar.

We hebben genoten van het heerlijke kerstmenu. Alles klopte. Heerlijke amuse, oester en verrassend desert. De wijn adviezen konden wij erg waarderen. Deze man verstaat zijn vak. Ook de tijd die deze heer voor ons nam. Dank en wij komen zeker terug. Ook de kleinschaligheid is fijn zeer vriendelijk personeel.

The good was great the atmosphere was great but the service was very bad when we ordered fish with fries and salad only one came with fries and 5 minutes later the second fries comed but we didn’t get the salad until 20 minutes later! A good experience but very long wait for food.

Met vrienden uit het buitenland een prima avond doorgebracht bij Vigo. De sfeer is ongedwongen, de stropdas kun je gerust thuislaten en de gerechten zonder uitzondering heerlijk. Het is geen restaurant van liflafjes, maar van een heerlijke moot prachtige vis, gelardeerd met uitstekende wijn, en met een desert dat eigenlijk wat te. omvangrijk is, maar zo lekker dat je toch voor de bijl gaat. Een speciaal compliment voor de bediening, onze ober, man met baard, altijd op tijd, kundig, en met een goed gevoel voor wat de klant wil, een natuurtalent die duidelijk plezier heeft in zijn vakmanschap.

We kwamen om ons tweede huwelijksjaar te vieren en dat is gelukt! We hadden nog geen ervaring met oesters en kreeft maar het personeel was uitermate vriendelijk in het adviseren en bijbehorende wijnen!

Food is great! Service could be better. I didn't get off to a good start, I guess. Had high expectations, got a strange table at the very back of the shop next to the coffee machine. We were sometimes forgotten. And at the end we had a strong feeling that we had to leave, perhaps employees wanted to go home, it was still before 10 o'clock....

Love this little area of the Hague and Vigo is a must if you love Seafood! The mussel's so sweet and the sauce was awesome for dunking the fries! The service was great! The servers are all fun and welcoming! My friend ordered the grilled sole...o Sole Mio! Soo good. We shared the seared scallops for appetizers .... chef's kiss! I'll be back next month and will order the grilled sole or maybe I'll order the mussels too!

We come to this restaurant regularly because it is one of the few places that consistently maintains a decent level of quality in both food and service. In terms of space it's a bit on a little side. We've ordered both à la carte and the set menu, and the food has always been fresh and tasty. We particularly enjoy the sushi, tuna steak, cod fish, tacos with tuna or salmon, and coquille. It's always a pleasure to dine here. Please keep it up, Vigo!

Amazing seafood with portion size. Catch of the day was an enormous serving of the freshest mussels I have ever had. The sole and the trio appetizer were also excellent.

I recently had dinner over there and i must say that it was a great experience. One of the highlights is that they accept dogs, which is great for pet owners like me. We ordered bouillabaisse and the mussels, and both meals were excellent. The dishes are not only tasty but also served in generous portions. The price for the quality and quantity was very good. The service was great, with attentive and friendly staff. The wine recommendation was amazing and paired perfectly with our meals. I will definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others.

Het was mijn derde keer en eerder had ik een goede ervaring maar niet zo deze keer. Was ietwat gaotisch toen wij aankwamen rond de bar. Wij gaven onze jassen en gingen naar de tafel. Na ongeveer 10 min ging min omdraaien om te kijken of er iemand aankwam en een van de dames zei hard JaJaJa zoals wij komen. Vond niet gepast en zeker niet professioneel. De wijn die wij namen (glas) was een beetje "oud" denk ik want mijn vriendin naam een tweede van hetzelfde en er was een verschil in smaak en reuk. Ik vroeg even of ik een ander kon krijgen en dat werd zonder probleem gegeven maar niet hartelijk. En fin ze deden het werk maar ging niet echt van harte. Heb wel tip gegeven maar ik wou nu dat ik dat niet had gedaan..... Zou ik terug komen? Voor het eten mischien want die is goed maar niet voor de aangename service die er niet was. Jammer.

There were four of us here. My wife, my daughter (16), my son (9) and me. The Pasta Vongole, the Kibbelinge for my son, the veggie burger and my lobster were all top, top, top. A relaxed atmosphere and super friendly service rounded off a really nice evening. We'll be back when we get a chance!

It's just very tasty and friendly here

Het eten was prima. Bepaalde aspecten van de rest wat minder. Leuning van de trap die langs de keuken naar de toiletten voert was vettig en vies. Tweede fles wijn was niet gekoeld. Slagroom van de Irish coffee was bedorven/ moest worden vervangen. Eén portie friet werd geserveerd na het hoofdgerecht ipv erbij.

After visiting this restaurant, all 4 of us got sick. Most likely because of the oysters, because all 4 of us ate that too. Each of us has contracted a serious stomach flu. The main course was also baked for too long, which meant that the fish had much less flavor. Very disappointing, because the service was very friendly and helpful.

Nice atmosphere, delicious seafood, perfect service. We had shrimp croquettes, redbeet salad and turbot all very tasty. Will go there again.
